I come here for my lunch break at least once a month and have always been satisfied with what I've ordered. I am a huge fan of Thai food and I used to come here more frequently, but they replaced their previous lunch and dinner specials with a $8.95 combo special. It's a dollar or two more expensive than the prior lunch special, does not offer the sweet and sour soup as a side (which was my favorite thing), and is stricter on the substitutions. $8.95 is a reasonable price for what you get, but keep in mind the portions are fairly small. I usually leave still feeling a little hungry (I have a big appetite though). I exclusively stick to their specials, and typically order the Garlic pepper chicken which is pretty tasty. Avoid the spring rolls on the appetizer menu - they are bland and I had to dowse them in peanut sauce to make them palatable. Service is unbelievably fast, and I have never had to wait for table. Pad Thai doesn't have options where you can ask for it to come with chicken, beef, shrimp, etc. by default it came with chicken. Pad Thai was flavorful leaning towards the sweet side. The larb was a little strange because there were times when we chewing on something hard. We weren't huge fans of the larb. Portion size is fair. Service was fair as well. Not over the top great but not bad. There is one tv. I usually order at least a couple dishes extra spicy and it packs a good kick but next time I will ask if theres a "Thai spicy" level above that. Your Larb Gai is not Larb Gai. It's disgusting and nothing good about the dish remains. Maybe you cooked some weird nondescript oil? Who knows? I was a monk in Thailand. If you drove by this place, you would probably never give it a second glance. It is a tiny, nondescript Thai restaurant. But the food is actually very, very good. The chicken satay was very good, though I wish it was a little thinner. The Basil chicken was great. So was the spicy chicken fried rice. And the panang curry was very tasty. If you order the Dinner Special, the portion is halved. You get some rice, a veggie egg roll, and a small cup of veggie broth that tastes like a wonton soup base. The regular portions aren't very large, so you'd probably best be served just ordering the regular dishes and avoiding the tiny dinner special portion. We ordered a few items include Thai BBQ Chicken the other night. It was the worst Thai BBQ chicken ever. Chicken was WET literally WET with some dark sauce and the taste was so gross. Both times, I ordered delivery from Fresh Thai and have been very pleased with the quality and taste of the food here. The Pad Se Ew and Fried Rice were great, a little oily but I like oily lol. I was also a fan of the curry, I just wish they gave you more of it. One piece of advice I can give, is if there are only two of you, order two dinner specials. Most bang for your buck and you meet the minimum price total needed to get delivery. Lastly, both women that delivered my food were so nice! I was mildly disappointed that my chicken pad Thai didn't have grated peanuts on it, and/or didn't come with a fresh lime. I tried my fiancé's orange chicken and white rice, which was much much better. I'd have expected a Thai restaurant to do pad Thai better. I did appreciate that because I checked in on Yelp, I got a free soda. Service was also fast and kind. The dining area itself was nice, and they accepted all major credit cards. My boyfriend (a meat eater) and I (vegan) eat here together regularly and we love it. The serving sizes are fantastic. When I was vegetarian and not vegan, I would always order the cream cheese wontons - like crab rangoon without the crab and it's veggie friendly! Sadly I can no longer eat these, but I highly recommend them to those who do eat cheese (same goes for their Thai iced teas). It's awesome that they offer a vegan option to their pad thai - you can get it with or without egg too! I usually just get the tofu pad thai, but I've tried the soy chicken and soy shrimp and was impressed with both. Giving four stars because they are sometimes a bit inconsistent. The last time I went, my noodles were very chewy, but everyone else I was with had a good experience. They are also pretty understaffed. Our waitress walked away from us mid-order to answer the phone. I'm sympathetic to it being busy, but it felt a bit rude and we then had to wait quite a bit for her to take the phone order down. Fresh Thai was excellent. We had Tom Kha Kai (coconut milk soup), squid salad, shrimp Panang, and pork kua Kai (noodles). Everything was indeed fresh and well made. These dishes tasted as they should and had a lot of flavor. Unless you really like heat, don't order Thai hot (the hottest of 5 heat levels).
