Been coming here since 1987. Was fantastic but new owners have changed it for the worse. More then doubled the price of everything. Slow service. Bad attitude to match. Last visit was $40 for two sandwiches, 1 bag chips, a coke and a bottled arrowhead (cheap terrible) water. Order messed up, sandwiches came out ten minutes apart, made wrong. Expressed issues with woman at the counter and a woman that must be one of the owners made it clear she didn't care if I ever came back. Ok. You got it. Edit to respond to owners comment: Please stop trying to spin the incredibly rude, poor service you gave yesterday. I never asked for pricing from decades ago. I was explaining to the girl at the register, who completely forgot to order my wife's sandwich, that I didn't realize I hadn't been charged for the 2nd sandwich because of the extremely high cost of the first one. I had been coming here since 1987 and up to about 4 years ago, used to come a couple times a week but the pricing and service had changed to the point I had not come in months. It's called constructive feedback. Real business owners love it. You, walked up AFTER I had explained this, not involved, not spoken to, and began your rude, arrogant comments for no reason. You wanted a fight and I didn't give you one. Just told you I wouldn't be coming back. When I pointed out how bad your attitude was you turned it up a notch. You were were not spoken down to. You spoke down to the customer. You are just completely unprofessional and don't know how to work with a customer that paid $20 for a sandwich that cost $8 in 2022 (pics of the menu on your own yelp page) and was now paying another $13.50 for a BLT. A BLT that came out on the wrong bread, hot not cold, and 3/4 was thrown away because it was so bad. I didn't order double meat. I ordered an "Old Town". A small version of the Rolls Royce. I had been told in the past, after you guys destroyed and removed most of the old menu, that I could order the old sandwiches no problem. The girl even pulled out the old menu to check exactly what it was. Apparently, your prices have risen 160% in less then 3 years. And while the Old Town you sold me was good, it wasn't any better then the one from 5 years ago. You can stand behind your "food and service" all day but customer service is king. I ordered the Bronx at the recommendation of the owner (she is the SWEETEST!) and my hubbs tried the Cousin Eddie (he is a huge pastrami lover and always raves about this spot's Ralph Nader pastrami sandwich but was recommended the Cousin Eddie and I quote "this is the BEST pastrami I've ever had in my life!!") We had the Manhattan - pizza - Soprasetta salami, mozzarella, light airy thin crust and the amazing garlic drizzle. They have amazing beers on tap and a nice listing of wines. If you prefer non alcoholic they have a great assortment of sparkling waters. They even have a $3.00 Frizt House Blonde. Where can you get a beer for $3? Stop by too for their great sandwiches. I would highly suggest the spicy Zac Efron and sub for sourdough. The roll it comes on isn't bad but there's something about the sourdough that just ties it together so nicely.
