Food was decent. We ordered the surf and turf burrito and the surf and turf fries. The burrito lacked flavor. No fuss place. Small and quaint. Cashier was friendly. It's not a five star place for me. It's a normal local taco spot with decent pricing. I will not return.

I finally decided to try this restaurant after seeing the reviews. The restaurant is small but, clean and the cashier was really friendly. I ordered the Birria plate which comes with beans, rice, 3 corn tortillas, onion and cilantro plus the consome. My son ordered 2 Birria tacos with a side of consome. The beef was tender and had great flavor. The portion is also generous and the beans and rice were also delicious. Their Agua frescas were perfect and refreshing. I absolutely recommend you check them out.

Rene, the charismatic staff member who greeted me, guided me toward the Surf and Turf Fries--"one of our most popular dishes," he promised. I took the bait, and I'm glad I did. What arrived was a feast of contrasts and comfort: perfectly crisp fries buried beneath tender, char-grilled asada and crowned with plump, garlic-kissed shrimp. A verdant drizzle of creamy green salsa and a generous layer of melted cheese tied it all together into a bold, unapologetic bite of coastal street food indulgence. To wash it down? A large cup of Jamaica, refreshingly tart and vibrant, cutting through the richness like a breeze on a summer day. This is the kind of place you come back to--not just for the food, but for the soul it serves. Next visit, I have my sights set on the birria. If the fries are any indication, I'm in for something special.

I was looking for a breakfast place in Covina and checked Yelp, decided to give them a try. My son and I came in on a Saturday around 11am. There was only one table taken, very clean and you can either order on a tablet or at the counter. The lady who took out order was friendly and explained her most popular items. We choose the birria quesadilla with a small consomé, chilaquiles verdes con huevo, agua de horchata and an agua mitad de pepino y mitad piña as as she recommended. The service was fast, food taste fresh. The chilaquiles were too soggy for my liking. I prefer crunchy tortilla chips, the salsa was ok- not spicy and the egg wasn't scrambled as I asked for. Rice and beans were good. The birria quesadillas was decent, nothing out of this world. The horchata was not good, it tasted powdery - it kind of tasted like a gelatina. The agua de pepino mix was good. Refreshing and not too sweet. I don't think I would be coming back here. I wasn't very impressed.

I just found this place and I'm glad I did. The quesabirria tacos at Fuego Cravings Covina were really good -- crispy on the outside, cheesy, and packed with flavorful meat. They tasted fresh, had a great balance of texture and flavor, and the salsa on the side added a perfect kick. Definitely a solid spot worth coming back to if you're craving good quesabirria tacos

Have been coming here for 1-2 years and usually always get the fuego fries with birria & a birria burrito ! Wasn't able to write a review yet because every time we go we pig out because it's so good! Fuego fries come with cheese and jalepeños, and your side of meat. 10/10 hits the spot for something snackish but also fills you up!

Street taco plate (pick 3 meats) which consists of: A. Rice = undercooked and overcooked at the same time. Some were hard and some were super soft... tasted good but cook was inconsistent B. Beans = hubby liked it. Balanced taste and cooked well C. Chips = crunchy and fresh. Seasoned inconsistently but still good D. Chicken tacos = i liked it. Nothing extraordinary. Seasoned okay with hint of lemon, cooked evenly throughout. E. Al pastor = cooked evenly but lacked the usual pineapple taste / sweet taste. Decent. F. Asada = bland and tough. You'll see in the pic how it's pale looking.. 2. Shrimp tacos = hubby didn't like it.. I liked it coz it was salty and the sauce made it a bit sweet then fresh coz of cabbage. It was decent. 3. Birria in tostada = hubby was disappointed coz he said that birria is usually a bit red/orange and never bland.. the birria was pale and bland like boiled meat... I've read a bunch of reviews abt how great this place is, so hopefully today was just an off day.. but again, thank you Milady, ure so awesome!

I was looking for a place to meet up with my friend that was visiting her brother in Covina and saw that Fuego was pretty close to her. First thing that caught my eye when I walked in was the aguas frescas. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. I ordered quesa birria tacos, my daughter ordered birria ramen and my friend ordered a mulita de birria. The birria was so good, it had so much flavor. I got an agua de horchata and the size of the mason jar was pretty big. The guy at the counter was super friendly and kept asking if we were doing ok. The place has a few tables and they had the tv on playing a movie. I will be back to try the rest of the food on the menu. Hidden gem for sure.

Fuego!!! I love the surf and turf tacos. I also tried the quesabirria, birria taco, fish taco, surf and turf burrito, and Covina burrito. They were alright. My whole party agreed that the surf and turf tacos are the best. We are honestly not really birria fans but it seems that a lot of people like it and it's clearly popular here. Service was great. I got a few cups of water and borrowed a bottle of salsa. The place is nice and clean. The complex is not busy and the restaurant was not crowded, although I came around 8:00 PM on a Thursday and around 2:00 PM on a Friday so that may be different on a Friday or Saturday around 7 PM. My critiques would be: the "sour cream sauce" and "guacamole sauce" are a bit watery, and the Covina burrito had too much rice and beans. But the surf and turf tacos make up for that. I'd come back just for the surf and turf tacos. The prices and portions are good for me, especially compared to where I'm from - the San Francisco bay area.

I've been seeing this place on DoorDash and had it bookmarked for a while. I finally decided to give it a shot, but I don't understand the raving reviews? We ordered 2 green chilaquiles bowls (one w/ asada and the other w/ pastor) and the surf & turf fries - to go. The chilaquiles were soggy and flavorless. The description for the surf & turf fries stated that they were "crispy" and "seasoned." However, they fries were plain, soft and bland; no crisp whatsoever. Overall, after spending $45, we were super disappointed.

i eat birria like once a year because i crave so much and then become sooo full of it lol usually always order the birria taco with cheese but why not go big! with the birria pizza -- comes with 2 consume and packed with flavor. honestly rly good proportions of protein and cheese and the soup always yommy i can drink on its own ~ also the staff here is very friendly and helpful :-)

We were craving some birria and found this place with great reviews. We came in at around 5-6PM on a weekend on found it pretty empty, but was kindly introduced and told how to order with the wait staff. We got a total of 9 birria tacos with some consome along with a horchata drink to wash it all down. I personally mainly enjoyed the horchata, it was nicely sweetened without being overly powering and was a pleasure the drinks. The birria tacos to me were a bit dry (making the consome a must buy if you are ganna try these), and felt a bit smaller than I would expect for 5$ a taco, but otherwise they were a decent snack. Definitely loved the consome tho so would be interested in trying their other options like their ramen. Otherwise, was a nice small homey feel with decent food.

We had the taquitos and the queso birria plate. Both were delicious, consume delicious. There is a kiosk to order your food which asks for a tip at the end. I did tip expecting decent service. They did bring out our drinks and then our food when it was ready. No one came back to see if we needed anything else. I noticed a few customers left when they finished their food. Not a word from the staff! Not a thanks for coming. Have a good night. Nothing. I highly suggest the staff to do that at a minimum and follow up with seated diners. We will likely go back and I sure hope we're and others are appreciated for patronizing their business. read more

Ordered the birria pizza. Added extra consome on the side since the amount that comes with the pizza is muy pequeño! Added guacamole on the side for that extra maldita sea bondad! I can't remember how many slices it came but had all in one sitting, except for two, which I left for the wife to enjoy. Birria pizza was fire and will for sure satisfy that craving. The delivery charge was almost as much as the cost of the order, so you know that Fuego Cravings hit the G-spot. ‍ read more

First, GrubHub never texted me when they dropped off my food, so it sat outside for at least 45 minutes so I was unable to eat the chicken enchiladas for fear of getting ill. The rice/beans were 'ok' and the equites were gross, the mayo was sweet (I am thinking they use miracle whip which I hate) and simply squeezed on top of the corn that was swimming in butter; the dish comes in a container not on the cob which is fine, but the meal was not what I was hoping for at all. Sadly, this place is a one and done for me. read more

I'm embarrassed to say that after going yesterday for the first time I came back the next day for the same thing. I had gotten the taquitos which are AMAZING, fresh, not soggy but perfectly crunchy and so so tasty. I assume it was either the manager or owner who came over to ask me how everything was tasting and I mentioned how it was my second day in a row since I loved the taquitos so much. Next thing I know he came over with a birria taco on the house for me to try. The taco was super delicious, full of flavor, and not soggy or greasy. So glad I found this place. read more

I have ordered from this place 3 times AND WOW WOW WOW WOW !!!!!! Never disappoints!!! First time I ordered The Birria Tacos special with the rice and bean and I knew I would come back to this place! It was soooo bomb! Second time , I ordered the Chilaquiles and MMM MMM MMM Chefs Kiss !!! Just wish they had the option to have the eggs scrambled but first time eating the eggs with the melted yolk and it was soooo gooooood!!! Didn't regret!!! And 3rd time which is RIGHT NOW AS IM CURRENTLY WRITING THIS!! I got the Shrimp tacos and Fish tacos!!! I definitely preferred the Shrimp over the fish BUT OMGGG BEST SHRIMP TACOS EVER !!! Better than the ones in Hawaii, and that says a lot!!! The first bite was soooo full of flavor and the shrimp was cooked perfectttt and it was crispy , will definitely be ordering again!!! I just had this place 3/16/24 and it was my first time. It's honestly gross and salty. We got the two tacos for me a asada and a Al pastor and the tacos were cold when they gave them to me not to mention they don't use gloves and since the plates are black I can see all the finger prints all over my plate not to mention the tacos were gross and the meat was old. The birria, y'all. The Birria was great! I got tacos, my daughter got a quesadilla, and my wife got the ramen. While I didn't outright love their carne asada, I really liked their al pastor and as I may have mentioned... the birria was great! Julie hooked us up - made great recommendations and was generally super cool. The quesadilla was fantastic - my kid and I loved it... and I damn near ate all of my wife's ramen. I'd never had birria ramen before (though I've had it since elsewhere and was disappointed) and it's a fusion made in heaven! If you haven't had or have had and love birria, swing in. Don't let their pictures fool you. I ordered a classic chicken burrito and all I got was a few shredded pieces of chicken with a bunch of beans and rice. I asked the waitress if this was a chicken burrito as I showed her that even the size of my baby's palm was bigger than the amount of chicken they gave me then her inconsiderate answer was "yes" instead of offering me more chicken on the side or just simply anything it would of a made a big difference even in their service. The prices are not worth for the amount of chicken they give! read more

Tried this place for the first time yesterday and it did not disappoint! We ordered the fries, Covina burrito, and two kids plates, and everything was delicious! The two things stopping me from giving it 5 stars are: 1. Prices are a bit high--we spent $68. 2. Seating is crowded--definitely order to go. read more

Had gone hiking with family and we were extremely hungry, so we stopped by here as it was highly rated on yelp. As for the drinks, we ordered an Horchata, which my cousin rated as a 10/10. Two people in our party ordered the fresa de leche drink and they both rated the drink 10/10. I did not try everybody's food so I asked them to write their food. But chilaquiles alone were a 10/10 but the rice and beans accompanying them were 7/10. The suggestion was that they could use more flavor. The mulita was rated an 8/10 overall very good, but a bit oily. The tacos were rated as a 10/10. I personally had the birria ramen. I read it as a 10/10 because the Ramen/birria/broth ration was perfect. They add spice that is optional, and the spice isn't just spicy, it actually has flavor. All four plates were decently sized, but not ridiculous like some American restaurants. Definitely bookmarked this place read more

My husband & I finally tried this place for dinner last night; it was delicious The restaurant is clean & glad it was cool with the A/C on. The girl that took our order was very nice, friendly & helpful; she told us that the owner has 3 other locations in the IE & that he wanted to start coming West, & I'm glad if that. The food was nice, hot & fresh; our order didn't take long to arrive but long enough to know that it was freshly cooked. We ate inside the restaurant. My husband had the breakfast burrito & I had the Covina burrito & we shared a fish taco, which was made with cod; both burritos came with a side of green & mild salsa, lemon & radish slices; the cod in the fish taco was nice & hot & had a light breading on it, which I was happy about because most fish tacos usually have too much batter/breading & it had some fresh pico de gallo, purple cabbage & chipotle crema & also came with slices of lemon & radish. The breakfast burrito had carne asada, bacon, eggs, refried beans, French fries, onions, cilantro & cheese; my Covina burrito had carne asada, Al pastor, rice, refried beans, cheese, French fries, onions, cilantro, sour cream & guacamole; my husband also had a Pepsi Zero & I had a Pineapple Agua Fresca, which was quite refreshing, a little tangy but not too sweet. Everything was DELICIOSO !!! The girl that took our order even gave me a free side of their chipotle crema, so I could try it, which I used on my burrito & it had a nice, little kick. I ended up taking half of my burrito home because I got full. The owner, Jose, was very nice & we told him we'd definitely be returning soon! I'm sure he appreciated that! I grew up going to Casa Moreno since the original spot in 1995, you can say it's home for me. My kids have therefore grown up visiting it every chance we get when visiting our family in the area. We generally all share and pass our plates around in true family style because we can never decide which all-star traditional plates to order. This time, the kid's quesadilla, 3 Amigos, Steak Fajitas, Chicken Flautas and Machaca made the cut. The look on my son's face when the sizzling platter was headed his way was just as magical as seeing him hug Chip and Dale. Every single bite warmed our hearts and filled our homemade food starved bodies. Casa Moreno is undeniably the greatest Mexican food that Los Angeles has had to offer for over 30 years. Their traditions span throughout three generations and the second you crunch those warm chips covered in their "Chilanga" salsa, you'll be hooked. The best part is that my local family is always there and pleased to come sit with us. We are all unfortunately spread apart across the country but Casa Moreno will always be the place that brings us together. Our shared experiences and memories there always make it HOME. Thank you Casa Moreno for all the sacrifices and hard work to stay around this long, it is very much appreciated by this LA girl living in Hawai'i.

I will start by saying that I am very particular about Italian food. Oh my goodness an absolute must. The focaccia was airy and delicious, and the butter was out of this world. I could honestly eat that by itself. I also loved the pickled sweet peppers that accompanied it. The broccolini was cooked to perfection, served in a generous portion, and was somehow a vegetable that even my six-year-old happily ate. We also had the rigatoni pesto with pistachios and burrata. The crunch from the pistachios paired wonderfully with the creaminess of the burrata, while the basil pesto tied everything together. Another delicious dish. My husband ordered a peach cocktail, which he described as perfectly balanced. To finish the evening, we shared a scoop of their house-made vanilla ice cream and a large slice of chocolate cake. The ice cream was velvety, not overly sweet, and paired perfectly with the cake. The dark chocolate provided great balance without being too rich, and although the cake appeared dense at first glance, it still had a surprising lightness to it. Overall, I cannot recommend this place enough. It is a true neighborhood gem, and I am excited to have it so close to home.

We had an amazing experience at Fuego Cravings--this place truly lives up to the hype! The street tacos were perfectly seasoned, loaded with flavor, and served on soft, warm tortillas that hit just right. The quesadilla de birria was next-level--oozing with cheese, packed with juicy birria, and paired with a rich consomé that had us dipping until the last bite. And don't even get me started on the torta de milanesa... crispy, tender, and stacked with all the right toppings. Every bite was a flavor bomb. But the real surprise? The aguas frescas. I can't say enough good things about Fuego Cravings! This place is a hidden gem for anyone who loves bold, flavorful tacos. I tried their Hot Cheeto Fuego Taco, and wow, iit was a game changer! The crunch and spice from the Hot Cheetos paired perfectly with the fresh, savory fillings. I also had the quesabirria, shrimp taco, and a street taco, and each one was absolutely delicious. The flavors were on point, and you can tell they use fresh, quality ingredients. The food made my Saturday afternoon so much better! Thank you, Fuego Cravings, for such an amazing meal. We were really eager to give this place a shot after seeing all the positive Yelp reviews and tempting photos. However, we were a bit let down when we ordered the Covina burrito and received a surf and turf burrito instead. Despite being labeled as Covina, it contained shrimp and beef, which was definitely not what we expected. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark for us. On a brighter note, we did enjoy the fish taco. So, we're unsure if we'll give this place another try. read more

My coworker recommended this place that just opened they all have been going there apparently except me. I totally loved it they literally have the best Birria and I think it's the best tasting quick Mexican food I've ever tried in years! The service was excellent the guys were super nice there and fast! I got the Quesabirrias and the surf and turf burrito (biggest burrito ever) everything was delicious and great ambiance as well.
