I'm a NY style pizza snob and even though Fultano's pizza is vastly different, I love it! I crave it! When at the Coast, I have to have it! The pizza is cut into very thin slices, and at first I thought I could eat 4 of them as they are literally half size of a normal slice. But the cornmeal crust, which is so fantastic and gives a great contrast of textures, is also dense. Just two of these slices and I'm full! When at the coast we always order a pepperoni, a plain cheese, and a gluten free for one of my friends. Along with their delicious Cesar salad or spinach and bacon salad, we have dinner and lunch the next day. Sometimes even for breakfast! Have been coming for years and the food is consistent, which is so important. Of course they get crowded on busy weekends or holidays, but they are worth the wait. For the pizza, we do delivery, which is super convenient. Love Fultano's! Highly recommend. read more

I will start this by saying I look forward to stopping at Fultano's for pizza. I like the pizza and the simple atmosphere. I've been coming to this location for decades and will say there is a difference in what you get today vs "back in the day." My daughter and I stopped by yesterday. It was a quiet, off season Sunday. There was one customer eating when we arrived. We always order the Mona Lisa and we ordered quickly. Pizza. A beer (for me). A bottles Iced Tea (for her). The food arrived at the table quickly and looked great. Though, the edge of the crust looked different. I love that they use old fashioned pizza ovens and a cornmeal crust. The pizza tasted good, though the crust tasted different. Overall, we were pleased with our food and experience. But it seems this location has made a change in their crust. My only minor complaint- and I say that jokingly- is the lunch slices are soooooo good I wish they did them all the time. They say that even bad pizza is good, but this place didn't get the memo. I was excited that my daughter had remembered this place and chose it for her 18th birthday lunch, it has been a couple of years since we were last here. I don't know what's going on in the kitchen but it sure seems like willful ignorance. I wonder the last time anyone in the kitchen ever had a decent pizza. How any place claiming to be a pizzeria could put this product out and call it pizza is beyond me. The crust is as dense as a brick, as if whoever made it once heard about pizza but never actually learned how to properly make it. We're talking about a slice of pizza so heavy it that you could dry it and use it as a paperweight. The sauce was not memorable, tastes like paste. And the cheese - grainy, heavy, and greasy - cheap.. I really hate to be negative, because I too remembered eating here before and liking the pizza. But my god man - at least hire someone who knows how to make a proper fermented pizza crust, and use better quality ingredients. What a sad place this has become. It's too bad, because they have some nice beer taps and it's a cute place. This is embarrassing by any measure, they should be ashamed of themselves. And the chaotic Mexican music soundtrack did not enhance the proceedings. My guess is that they are desperate for cooks,,and the one they have has never had good pizza or is just starting out. We arrived into town on a chilly rainy Friday and easily ordered online and picked up in less than 20 minutes. Had to try the seafood pesto pizza bc we are at the sea of course! The crust was awesomely light and very crispy. Had a plentiful amount of little shrimp and baby clams. So I have been a long-time supporter of Fultonos at several locations. The crust is always great, and the pizza is awesome. But this pizza from Cannon Beach was god awful. I should have stuck to my gut instincts reading from the reviews and also by the uninspiring phone call with the girl that took my order. my pizza tasted like charcoal, and after 2 slices from a large pizza, I had to stop and throw $31.00 away plus $4.00 for a tip on a takeout pizza. $35 total, and I will never return to this location again. If I weren't on my way back to Portland, I would have turned around and given the pizza back. I was so pissed off about it, and it also left my stomach feeling very ill . Great pizza! The crust is thin and crispy. Pizza is pan-fried but not greasy. It has a nice crunch to it, very cracker-crust type of pizza. Customer service was good, too. Portions are generous and you definitely get your money's worth! My husband and I each ordered a small pizza....both of which were much bigger than we had anticipated! I don't live in the area and when I come to visit, I always get a taco pizza without olives. I picked it up and should've checked then to make sure it was correct. I didn't because I've never had an issue and they weren't busy. When I got back to the place I was staying at, outside of town, I called to let them know. The person who answered said "oh yeah, that was me, my bad. So I guess you want us to remake it?" I explained I was already settled for the night and wasn't going to drive back but wanted to make them aware and pay more attention. I never received an apology unless you count "my bad" as one, which I don't. There was no offer of a free or discounted pizza the next time I was there. I normally wouldn't complain but 1) I've always received excellent service so this is extremely disappointing 2) Olives are hard to pick off as they get stuck in the cheese 3) The chips were stale 4) This is not what I paid for.
