Service took a little while when I sat down but I wasn't in a rush thankfully. I sat outdoors on the busy streets but didn't mind since the decor was clean and leafy. Ordered Pinot Grigio with some ice which they forgot. Oh well. They brought out bread with oil and vinegar, tasty, not toasted though. My main dish was the Margherita pizza with a cauliflower crust. Decent homemade cauliflower crust, very thin and crispy. The sauce didn't hit the spot for me. Too acidic not enough seasoning or robustness. They could have added more basil. Mozzarella was nothing special but certainly the fresh sort. Overall very mediocre. 16 for this pizza-not impressed. This is New York we're talking about! Sorry but I've tasted better pizza from the local shops. The reason I give this a two star is because I was absolutely starving and nothing tasted "great". I was pissed about the salad because it had quinoa lightly sprinkled on it, 1/2 an avocado if I was lucky and it was a sizable container (the typically black take out container) and MOST TROUBLING the shrimp- only came with 4 medium sized for $8!!!! The shrimp had good flavor but Not tender and cold. The was more a good start and was very disappointing. Rating 2 2. Eggplant parmigiana. This was good. It was not breaded. But it was very good. Rating 4 3. Roni pizza. This was good too. Not amazing but good. Rating 3.9 4. Rigatoni shrimp pasta. I was excited about this but it disappointed. Lacked flavor, and shrimp and broccoli. Came here on a Wednesday around 5:45 right before the crowd. The outdoor seating area is very nice and heated - was able to dine without my jacket. They have happy hour till 7 pm and ordered $7 a peril spritz and $6 house wine. Fried mozzarella is part of happy hour too - it was good but pretty much just mozzarella sticks in a square form. We ordered the special salmon arugula salad that was tasty! And the special gnocchi Mac and cheese. The gnocchi is so soft chewy and marshmallow like - so fluffy, great texture. The dish was nice and cheesy and had a slight truffle taste to that really added to the dish. The Marg pizza was a classic thin slice Italian style pizza. I can't do a full review, since I never got my food... But my boyfriend loved his meal. In case you're wondering...all I ordered was a salad. Which, again, never came I even asked after my boyfriend's calamari app came. "It's on the way", I'm told. 30 mins later...nada ensalada. But his pasta showed up. My cousin treated me to this resturant, and i loved it ! They have outdoor dining , the tables are appropriately distanced , the staff are practicing Covid protocol , everyone had on gloves and mask , hand sanitizer was available as well , not to mention the music playing inside we a complete vibe , the street is a main ave but it was no traffic congestion which made my dining a bit more pleasurable , i would say this is a great date spot and a cool place for you to kick it with your buddies , they also have a happy hr which is a plus ! (SPAGHETTI CARBONARA $20 wood smoked bacon, onions, peas, cream) I called in the order and was told it would be ready in 15-20 mins. I picked it up and got home excited to eat it. Came her for Brunch on a Saturday, I chose this place coz it looked very Omni friendly. Upon looking at the regular brunch menu we didn't like anything so we asked for regular menu. We ended up ordering rigatoni Norma without ricotta, I think it was the best dish so delicious hardly missed any cheese. The sauce was so fresh and delicious and the pasta was al dente, overall a really good wholesome dish. Truffle fries were good we just ordered too much to even make a dent in them. We also had pizza I believe they had coal oven. You can never go wrong with Margherita pizza and it was delicious. Warning little rant : I took one point off because of the use of ancient vegan cheese like 'Daiya' smh. There are so many good non dairy cheese alternative then using that snot texture disgusting Daiya cheese. It's just sad coz this place has so much potential also I saw so many delicious drinks on yelp but not on the menu, I wonder why ? I recently went gluten free and it's honestly ridiculous how hard it is to find places in NYC that have gf options (and bottomless brunch!) I've been to this location twice, literally back to back weekends because the food is so delicious. I'm a pasta/carb girl and any of their pasta dishes can be made gluten free. My first time there I had the breakfast carbonara which was really yummy. It was the right texture and had a nice flavor. My friend had the eggs Benedict and said it was also really good. We engaged in the 1.5 hours of mimosas (for an extra 18.50 on your tab) and probably drank our weight in them. They were strong and our waiter was so nice and fun. He was attentive to the carafe and made sure we were never without mimosas! The second time I went, I had the rigatoni alla vodka, which is honestly my go-to because I know it will be good anywhere I go. I forgot that it came with cut up pancetta (?) or bacon or something and I'm mostly vegetarian and didn't want that but it was ultimately my fault for not requesting without. It was honestly so good! again, the creaminess and texture was divine as was the flavor! My friend had the impossible burger with the French fries and it was delicious. The fries were perfectly crispy and the burger tasted just like meat, so nicely seasoned and cooked/grilled to perfection. My other friend had the eggs Benedict with salmon and took a bite and literally said "mmm mmm mhm!" so, do with that what you will. And again the mimosas were flowingggg, wait staff was nice and attentive! Another plus is their bathrooms - I've only been in one but it's dark and sexy and perfect to take mirror selfies, haha. They're also handling Covid so well - they're not handing out menus, instead on the table are papers with QR codes for both the brunch and dinner menus! All staff are wearing masks. Also they have lots of tables outside for outdoor dining and they're not on the street but on the sidewalk boxed in with flower boxes I believe. This is honestly my go-to restaurant because I know they serve GF, they're yummy and they have great bottomless. I know there's another location further uptown (closer to where I live, actually) that I will definitely try out within the coming weeks. The only downside for me is that they charge $7 for gluten free bread (which is flatbread) while the other bread is complimentary. Finally remembered to write a well deserving review to one of my favorite spots. I come here for solo dates, cousin dates, I've brought coworkers, family, friends and never a complaint. The service from management to runners and bussers is always exceptional and very attentive. But I have to give credit where it's due to my server Petros and bartender Djordge. I'm a hard ass. It's Friday, May 7th -- it's 1pm -- how do you not have a non dairy creamer?! I'm a bougie b***h so I love me some Almond milk & Oat milk. I can't have dairy at all. So when I asked for Almond milk & was told y'all only have Oat milk, I figured ok that's fine. Then the server returns to tell me they don't have Oat milk but offered Whole milk instead. Wtf? Lol. The only reason I'd ask for a dairy alternative is because I can't have dairy. I just find it hard to believe y'all can't run and grab a carton from the store. It's beyond me. Love this place! Great pasta selection- I've been three times and every pasta I've ordered has some of the best I've had. The Rigatoni Alfredo is Devine and the Artichoke appetizer is delicious. I don't even care of artichokes that much but it's a must try. My kids love the pizzas and their wine selection is very nice. Everyone is helpful here and wants to make your experience a good one. The ambiance is always great, fun music in the background and the decor is bright and modern. We sit in their "outdoor space" which is filled with plants and vines and heating lamps. It's a little cramped but not really a problem. Most of the outdoor spaces are always awkward in some way. Their are still plastic separators at the each table outside and if you sit inside the tables are widely spaced apart. Bathrooms are actually beautifully designed, my daughter was in awe of the wallpaper and said it smelled nice lol. If you love pasta and pizza done well in a chic space definitely go here. read more
