Today was tri-tip day. So happy to get delicious beef on a Wednesday. Come on... you can get tri-tip anywhere on a Friday! Jed had the smoked short ribs. They were amazing, but seriously, the highlight was the side of RICE WITH A FRIED EGG and special burn your insides hot sauce! So so so good. Ok. First things first. This is not a restaurant. This is a bar with food. There is a bar, high tables, a pool table, and a juke box that plays loud music. Like a bar. Went there on Jan. 21st to see what what was up with this place as we live close. The food has long descriptions and is not bad. Just not as good as these reviews are making it sound. I had the Fusion Burger and she had the Baller Bowl. Satisfactory. Garlic fries were not hot and bun was cold to first touch. Taste was fine. Deep fry a burger patty and cover it in stuff. Can't be bad and it was not. Once she was done with the tasty meat on top, the bowl was a huge fried tortilla filled with cabbage. This is not a complaint as it is what it is. This is a bar. Here is where I really want to correct the record. Soon upon arriving I realized that the bartender was also the waiter for the entire place which was 3/4 full. I expected to wait forever after reading some of these reviews. Well, we did not wait. In fact, I forgot all about my worries as the bartender took our order without writing it down and the food was delivered rather quickly. The guy really held the place down nicely. Only been once but have been wanting to go back! My husband and I had the phorito and the crispy chicken tacos. The phorito is literally that. Pho wrapped up inside a tortilla served with a side of yummy beef broth gravy. A very nice alternative to hot soup in the summer if you're craving pho. The crispy chicken tacos were delicious and full of flavor. Perfectly crispy and seasoned well. We also ordered a spiked Thai tea. It was so good. Just like a normal Thai tea but definitely did the job lol. I left off a star for location. It's not the easiest place to find and is not conveniently located in town. And most times it's wonderful, one of the best places in town. Though the most recent time I went in it was extremely salty. Honestly tasted like someone had dumped a whole salt shaker in there. Yep, this is a small bar like place with pool table. Some of the best food in town for....as the name implies....fusion food. Always had a good meal and i love their fusion sauce. Taco tuesday is a little limited for choices but a good deal and the tacos are huge. Pho is really good. As with any small place, it can be crowded and might find wait times go up.
