I want to make sure I set the stage before I provide feedback. I hadn't been to a Fuzzy Taco since before covid hit in 2019 and recently went to the one in Westport plaza for lunch at work and was blown away. I got the tempura fish tacos with rice and everything was fresh and tasted great. This prompted me to encourage my family to try again, and the one off Manchester was close so we ordered online today. We placed our order around 4:30 PM CST and arrived around 5:15 PM CST. The place was completely deserted and I believe there might have been one other person in the entire restaurant outside of myself that was a paying customer. This is important as I want everyone to know they were not busy. My wife ordered the fish burrito bowl. The fish was hard and unable to be cut with a fork, the rice was crunchy (which means it was uncooked or old), and the guacamole was brown. She wasn't able to finish her food. I ordered three tempura tacos. The fish was dry, and the second taco had what appeared to be a burnt or uncooked bean that was hard as a rock. I stopped eating my food after I thought I chipped my tooth. My youngest son ordered the cheeseburger quesadilla. The quesadilla was amazing and the dessert was cooked well. They did not remember the cheese sauce or the Dr Pepper he ordered. We ordered the dessert for the rest of the family and they were raw. We did not eat them. I do not need or want anything because of this review. This is the first time we have had to throw away a to-go meal in years. :( read more

i hardly ever even consider writing reviews for places i've had bad experiences at but if i could rate this place it would be a 0, they mess up our orders every time without fail. we have some serious allergies in this household and some family members cannot eat their food that they PAID for. Even after saying an order was messed up there was NO offer of a refund or even a remake. it has been a wait of 45+ minutes for takeout orders after they said the arrival time. Decided to give Fuzzy's another chance. This time was actually more disappointing than the first. Upon entering, the store had a strong odor of natural gas. Another patron mentioned this to the employees and was assured everything was fine. As for the food, the queso was the best part of the meal but our first basket of chips was missing the dusting of spices and hidden under the first layer of chips was crumbs. Probably 3/4 of the basket was crumbs, many of which were burnt so badly they were black. I asked for a replacement basket and the employee said they offer one refill per order. It wasn't so much a refill but a replacement as I'm not sure why someone would serve us mostly burnt crumbs in the first place. The second basket of chips was much better and included the spice dust. Just like last time, the food was lacking in flavor. The shrimp in my taco was bland and there was so little garlic sauce in the taco that I couldn't even taste it. Awesome service here. We came on a a Sunday night at 615. The three ladies at the counter were terrific! I had the mahi mahi and fajita beef tacos with a soda and margarita. We also had the chips and guacamole. Everything tasted great and for the most part the tacos were healthy. Mahi mahi is very mild and the fajita beef had a nice flavor. I really used to love this location but ever since they reopened they have been painfully slow because they can't properly staff this location. We were quoted 20 minutes and it took over and hour for the food to be done. I haven't been to this location before, but it is tucked away just off of Manchester in a strip mall behind a burger king. LOVED IT! You walk up to order and then pick up a pager. When your food is ready then you go to the counter to grab your food. The menu is pretty darn big. I opted for the grilled Mahi burrito. As usual wrapped in foil and served on a plastic red basket. I opted for lime rice and standard pico. This was wonderful. Very filling. They stuff the filling all the way to the end. I can't stand a burrito when at the "butt" there is nothing but tortilla. We also ordered the street cred corn. Do yourself a favor and order this. My girls were fighting over it, it was so yummy. The top the corn with feta and some shredded cheese. Dash of paprika and thats all I could discern but there was more to it. Could have made a meal out of it. My only complaints of the evening were the food took a while . The tables were not often cleaned and the drink menu was a little confusing. I ordered something off one menu but the person working the counter couldn't figure where it was on another menu to punch it in the register. Oh well. Will be back. The food was good tonight, but the store was grossly understaffed. The serve time for the food was very long and our order was markedly inaccurate. There was only one poor woman to bus the inside and outside dining rooms as well as expedite the food orders. My family and I bussed the table for the grossly messy girls who used it before us. There was a helpful manager (who was also stretched thin) helping behind the bar/order counter as well as running the kitchen. I've never written a bad review, but that changes today. My husband placed an online order this evening at 6:20pm, and I went to pick it up. It was supposed to be ready at 6:40. I arrived at 6:30 and checked in. They were pretty busy, so I was fine waiting awhile. However, after people who got there way after me got their orders and left, I asked about my order. Still not ready, but I was told they would prioritize it. I waited more. I don't know how many times the manager looked past me like I was invisible, as I waited. At 7:15, I asked the manager about my order, in the nicest way I could that also communicated my displeasure, and she went to check again. At last I was handed my order without even a "Thanks for waiting" or "I'm sorry". Literally, "here's your order." I left in shock. I was the last one to get my order. I waited in store for 40 mins for an order placed an hour prior. The staff truly acted like they couldn't care less (about any customer, not just me.) When I read the reviews, I went in with cautious optimism. I was overwhelmingly satisfied with every aspect of my takeout order. The dining room was clean and a young man was cleaning as people left. The gentleman at the counter was pleasant and knowledgeable answering my questions politely and not getting frustrated when i inquired about items and didn't choose them. My order was prepared quickly, but I sat at an empty table and watched some tv while I waited. There was a lunch crowd, but not a line or wait for tables. I was most surprised by my quesadilla. I enunciated "fajita" clearly after reading another review. I got the steak fajita quesadilla, grilled fish taco, and cilantro lime rice. I knew it would be too much food, but I wanted the variety. Well they are cheap, pretty quick, and they know how to deliver what their customers want. So I suppose Fuzzy's Tacos fulfills its purpose. Actually, I thought it was pretty good. The breakfast tacos were pretty darn tasty and generous with the fillings. The bacon and the chorizo choices both satisfied with the egg, and potato for the bacon one. The 1500+ calorie bomb chicken nachos were mighty flavorful too. The chicken was fresh, moist, and shredded. Feta cheese in addition to the queso added some interest to the mix. Chips were just the standard "find everywhere" variety, but not bad. If you want a good, Americanized taco shop, then come here. But this ain't no taqueria. Don't come if you want soft corn (double) tortilla shells. You get either a soft flour tortilla or a crispy corn one. And the chips, while decent, were the standard thin variety that you get at all the Mexican chain restaurants. There's also a lot of sour cream & cheese sauce. UPDATE: We still have not received our refund as promised. The manager/expediter is absolutely terrible Put in an online order for three meals. Order was completed and picked up and brought home, but the salad meal had the wrong protein and the fajita plate was missing the sides. The food that made it was good, but the customer service when calling to report the missing or wrong items was ridiculous. I was put on hold and I could hear a woman stating defensively that she put the order together and it was all correct. She came on the phone and told me defensively that she was in charge of putting together the orders and that she watched our order, insinuating that I was a liar. I told her the protein in the salad was wrong and she forgot the sides, and she immediately agreed that she did forget those things, but the order was otherwise completely right. She then told me that I needed to understand that they were very understaffed and we would be refunded for the two meals that were incorrect and then that I was being ignorant and wouldn't continue the conversation and hung up. TLDR: food good, but food wrong, angry triggered manager hung up on me and will probably mess up the refund. read more

Honestly, when my father-in-law mentioned "Fuzzy's Tacos" to me, I probably wrinkled my nose. The name was not all that appealing... But, oh, my gosh, the food. The tacos are amazing. I've never had such an amazing taco. The garlic sauce and feta make them so delicious. The cheese enchiladas, while small, are delicious! The bean and cheese burrito was great, and their retried beans and fried potatoes are so good. Their chips have more of a corn taste than I'm used to, but my husband thought they were excellent. This place is pretty popular, so be careful what time you visit if you're wanting to eat in (at least until they open their other room). The decor of the place is fun, and it really feels like community eating more than each couple to their own table. Highly recommended! read more

I now visit Fuzzy's frequently. My favorite is their grilled Veggie Burrito. They use real veggies, not just peppers. They are topped with guac, lettuce and a chipotle style sauce. Very tasty. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating when I ask for a variation off the menu. I've also had their grilled shrimp burrito, which also outstanding. They grill it just right and there are multiple shrimp of good size. This place is always packed at lunch time, so gauge your time if you want a seat. No one makes tacos and burritos this good! read more

So, this place has a cult following the likes I rarely see. I was aware of this and made sure not to raise my expectations too high, because if I did I knew it would fail. I instead decided to keep my expectations reasonable and see what I get. I am glad I did. Although Fuzzy's was good, it just didn't "WOW" me. I enjoyed the food, but it wasn't anything spectacular. I enjoyed the drinks, but again, nothing beyond mediocre. I didn't like how busy it was and I didn't like the layout. I will say, it is a good place for some good "Amerixican" food. It was clean, and staff was friendly, but it just felt unorganized and rushed. I will probably not go back, but I won't avoid it if other are going and ask me to go. I've put off going to the location In Webster because frankly the name makes me hesitate. I felt like some Mexican today and when I found this new location I decided to try it out. Lucky for me it was taco Tuesday. so i tried chicken and special beef. which were good. if you want hotter there's kick in the butt hot sauce on table. Even better than the tacos was the Queso which was like a Queso Blanco. I did not get a drink at first but changed my mind. Found out that if you bring your cup back refills are $1.00. This is my go to place when I want real tacos...Baja tacos! The variety here is great and the Margaritas aren't to bad either. I mostly get takeout here and I usually enjoy a margarita while I wait. This place is always busy with people of all ages enjoying their food. The shrimp tempura is one of my favs And also the nachos and also the chips and queso. Service here is fast and they are polite. With such a wide variety to choose from you will definitely find something that you like. The hours here are great also. Stopped in on a Saturday about 8 pm. The place was only about half full. I've been to the Fuzzy's on Watson Road but my first visit here. The burrito in a bowl with fajita chicken was good. As were the chicken enchiladas. I ordered a couple of the beans as a side dish and they were fine. The serving size of the dinner was generous. We enjoyed two of the margaritas, the "top shelf" version. I'll just say up front I'm a margarita snob, enjoying home made with great tequila, Grand Marnier, and hand made squeezed limes sweetened with Agave as a sweetener. Fuzzy's is a super casual place to get good tacos and a refreshing beverage, adult or otherwise. Great place to stop on a hectic weeknight to eat in or carryout. The line to order can look intimidating when they are busy, but it moves fast. The taco meal w/ two tacos and two sides is a good choice. It's filling and you can experiment. My go to is oneTempura Fish Taco and one Tempura Shrimp Taco with Cilantro Lime Rice and Borracho Beans. Other favorites are the Chicken Nachos, the Black Beans and the Shredded Chicken Quesadilla. They have a good beer selection and the margaritas are tasty. House made hot sauces compliment the food. A nice Tex-Mex alternative to the usual Mexican fare. Always a good time.
