The rice was completely under cooked. The tacos were barely anything (mostly lettuce). We also ordered queso and chips - never got them. Not one thing on our plate was hot or even warm, I think I only took three bites of my tacos and one of beans. I went back and told the cook that not one thing on our plates was warm. They had my ticket (only four of us), yet over thirty minutes later, after five people who ordered in line after us received their food, I still didn't have my food. This was my first time here and I didn't see what the big deal was. I heard this specific location is kind of blah. I would give the company another chance elsewhere. When you first walk in no one greets you or tells you what to do. I didn't know if we should seat ourselves or what lol. The food is good, but they've been out of chips and brisket everytime I've been in there... and of recent I witnessed an exchange between a customer and the manager that was less than professional. It was 7:45 and the new hours sign says 8pm, the cashier told the customer they were closed... I don't know by you serve until the specified and posted close on the front door. My wife and I like Fuzzy's but it is a bit outside our normal path most days, however we were nearby yesterday and were happy to stop in. We shared the fried fish, fried shrimp and grilled shrimp tacos. The tacos were very good. We were especially happy with trio of chips with salsa, guacamole and queso-at $7 it is a great value. The tea is awesome, fresh-brewed. The staff was very friendly. The only things not perfect for our taste is the salsa. Not sure what it is, but I think it is too sweet and has a spice that is a bit strong, maybe cumin? Our rate is either roasted style or fresh/bright style (smooth or chunky). Fuzzy's is cheap, quick, tasty, and a couple steps above taco bell. It's not some fancy, Mexican place. It is what it is. If you haven't been before, you start by going to the counter, ordering, get a pager, and then pick up your food from a window. It's a very fast process, but it definitely get's busy on taco Tuesday when the tacos are $1.50. I have been to this location, Webster groves, and Westport... This one is the smallest I think, and I like how they operate. And it's nice, because it's close to home. My husband and I typically split chips and guacamole, salsa, or queso and we add chorizo. Can't go wrong with any of those. I typically get two soft fish tacos, I have had the grilled and the tempura. I prefer the tempura, but both are good. That typically fills me up, as long as I've had some chips too. If not, I'll go for three tacos. The salads are also huge and delicious. I like the one with shrimp, and the buttermilk ranch is to die for, if you are obsessed with ranch like most mid-westerners. I also like the nachos, they are huge and can be a great shareable as an app for 4-5 people, or perfect to split for dinner with another person. They put feta and this garlic sauce on everything just about, and I love that combo. Again, not traditional mexican food. All in all, Fuzzy's is a great stop for the whole family too. Kids love it, and you adults and get some major margaritas. The beeritas are great and they will basically make whatever combo you'd like. They also serve breakfast all day, so down a beer with your huevos rancheros and you're all set for the day! Lol. read more

This place used to be awesome but this is the last time I wait a half an hour for my food. We called it in, got here when the food was supposed to be ready. After 5 minutes They said they were working on it in the back without ever looking at my order. 20 minutes later, it's the same story 10 minutes after that, they finally deliver. Mrs K. was in Florida and I was hungry. Figured I would come in here and check it out and give her a report. Not too bad. I had a burrito and two taco's. I thought the sauce on the burrito was fantastic. The shredded beef was a little on the tough side but still over all a good burrito. The taco's were $1.99 and they were really just a taco. I hate to use Taco Bell in this review but that is what the taco's tasted like to me. Service was fast and the space was OK. I had a $2 off coupon for a BIG salad and pulled in around 10:50 a.m. on a Saturday a few weeks ago. Note that they serve breakfast. I was greeted nicely. And had some conundrum about ordering, as this was my first time. Sometimes, that never stops. What I found out was salads come in two sizes: lil and big. Okey-dokey. I got a BIG shredded beef salad with tomatoes, onions, shredded cheese, feta, cilantro chips (I said drop those.) with a choice of dressing, I got the garlic buttermilk ranch dressing. I asked for the beef to be ground, rather than shredded, which they easily accommodated. The cashier guy, who seemed to be the man in charge, said anything I wanted to do with the beef, they could do. And he made sure I didn't get any chips. And they did all of that. I got a carryout, so was not too concerned about the ambiance. But this place has all kinds of colorful walls, an outdoor (screened and covered) patio, plenty of booths and multiple tables -- both hightops and street level. It's quite festive. There's a large area for carbonated beverages, and I did notice that they have Diet Dr Pepper. I kind of was slathering for one of those waiting for my carryout, which was not a long time. I paid $3.79 (consider the coupon) for this BIG salad, and it was incredibly delightful. Full of fresh food, and the lettuce was so crispy. The beef was ground perfectly, and it was so tasty and filling to have two cheeses. The garlic buttermilk ranch dressing was wonderful, so garlicky, so creamy, and a perfect topping for all these luscious ingredients. I'm a HUGE fan of Fuzzy's Tacos . . . at least the original location in St. Louis over in Shrewsbury . In fact, I could eat there every day of the week. Kept hearing for months and months about the second location that was opening in Manchester, MO - 1288 Old Orchard Center to be exact - and have been several times with co-workers. Like the set-up - although much smaller than the Shrewsbury location and the staff was very friendly. Here is my issue and this is why I'm giving you two out of five stars. I have ordered the amazing chicken nachos on three separate times at this location and the portion does not come anywhere near what is offered in Shrewsbury! Not even close. So until you rectify the portion size for what you are charging . . . I'll have to pass. Great little lunch place! Stopped in here on a Saturday to fill up before trying to do battle with the Costco crowds. Had two tacos - shredded chicken and tempura fish. Also split a tamale with Husband. The tacos came with two sides so I had borracha beans and cilantro lime rice. The tacos were delicious; I'm not even sure which one I liked better. The shredded chicken was really flavorful and cooked perfectly. I normally don't like chicken and am not really sure why I ordered it but glad I did. The tempura fish was perfectly cooked with crispy batter which added a nice crunch to the mix of textures in the taco. The shredded pork tamale was well proportioned and spiced nicely. It had some sauce over it - I'm not even sure what it was, except that I could eat it out of a jar with a spoon! I filled up on tacos and tamale so I think I may have eaten a bite of each of the sides. They were good but not worth hurting myself for. Service was also really friendly and efficient - the girl who helped us order obviously takes great pride in their food and the fact that they make everything there. Wow, just wow. I'm not sure I've ever disliked a Mexican restaurant. It's a food I could eat 7-days a week without complaints. Until now. The bill was $19.50 for a burrito, chips and queso, and a beer (with tip). The shredded brisket burrito was suggested, so I went for it. The food was mediocre at best. It was bland, cold, and soggy. I could not identify most of the items it was said to include, but who's going to send back a $8 burrito? Guac? Nope. Cheese? Nada. Lettuce? Fuggetaboutit. This place was packed, and I can't figure out why. Who would come back here a second time???? My first true disappointment with a Mexican restaurant...ever. I'm speechless. The only item I enjoyed? Great place for a weekend taco before visiting Costco! Top-notch tamale! I really enjoyed the sauce they added. Sweet, slightly spicy and very flavorful. That said, I have no idea what they call it but I will most certainly be back for more of their tamale goodness. Most certainly the highlight of the visit. We sampled several of their taco offerings too. I had one shrimp and one grilled fish. Both offering seemed to get a bit lost within the taco in terms of both flavors and textures. I also tried their habanero-based salsa on the tacos. While very good, the taste of the protein completely faded into the background once the salsa was brought to the party. Certainly something that is better for dipping than pouring. The wife had one chicken and one fried fish taco. I had a very small piece of chicken and it was pretty much amazing. They must do one hell of a job of marinating and seasoning their chicken breasts because they elevated what we consider a utility protein to a whole new level in terms of flavor. As an added bonus, the meat was cooked perfectly and not in the least bit rubbery as chicken breast can get. The fried fish was certainly the way to go for the fish taco as the added texture helped the fish stand out a bit, even when dipped in the habanero salsa. read more

I enjoy tacos, but these were lackluster. The fish tacos were extraordinarily bland. The more expensive chicken fajita tacos were not as enjoyable as the shredded chicken tacos. The butt hurtin' hot sauce was watered down. My butt hurts just thinking about it, but for all the wrong reasons. We started with the guacamole, which tasted great, but the over-seasoned chips made it a turnoff. They also put a bed of lettuce at the base of the guacamole cup, so quantity wise you don't get anywhere near as much avocado as it appears. The final straw came at the counter when the employee asked me if I wanted to add jalapeños. Little did I know, she tacked on 50 cents after. I go to sporting events all the time and have never been required to pay extra for peppers. In conclusion, nothing about this place is overly terrible, but the combination of a bunch of small setbacks kept me from enjoying my pit stop at Fuzzy's read more

Two stars because the staff was friendly and I love the concept. Jeez, this place has really gone downhill. Food was cold. Place was absolutely filthy. Maybe hose it down from time to time? Signs up everywhere to have patience with the staff that showed up, so yes, I did expect a wait but the cleanliness and food safety issues are a deal-breaker. My suggestion to management, perhaps focus on the food quality and switch to a carry out or delivery concept only until people start showing up to work again. read more

The good: the prices are reasonable, they serve alcohol, casual environment The so-so: I had the taco combo platter, I thought the flavor was ok, nothing amazing. The store was clean, which is always a thumbs up for me, I will literally turn around & leave if it's dirty. There's no waitress, it's a order at the counter type of place. I think Fuzzy's is similar to Qdoba or Chipotle, but I would say Fuzzy's is slightly better. I'm not a fan of the other two. Fuzzy's Taco Shop is a passable attempt at Mexican food in the greater St. Louis area. You know what you're getting, and you know that you're getting it for a fraction of its competitors' prices. There's not much to boast along the lines of culinary prowess when you dine at Fuzzy's. Behind the kitchen counter, the staff rapidly dishes out one's standard tacos - meat, cheese, and garnish on a flour/corn tortilla - with not much flavor or uniqueness. The brisket is dry-as-a-desert, and their hot sauce is a strange, unpalatable mixture that unsuccessfully endeavors to add life to their dull tacos. On the other hand, Fuzzy's does offer a large, varied menu, and I quite enjoyed their queso and tempura shrimp. Other than that, this taco shop finds itself uninspired, though I find it hard to truly complain with the prices that don their menu. If your stomach's rumbling and you've got a few bucks lying around, stop by the nearest Fuzzy's. It's a forgettable meal with an equally forgettable price tag. Hey - I'll take it. read more

I had been wanting to eat there for weeks after seeing it open, but sadly we most likely won't return. Like others mention, it's VERY small and crowded. Most tables had empty beer bottles or dirty dishes on them. The staff seemed very stressed and were not friendly or welcoming. I got the beef tacos and they were fine, but for the price, I would expect three tacos plus sides, not two. The side portion sizes were insufficient. Should have been at least twice the size. My wife's grilled shrimp salad could hardly be called a salad. There were 5-6 shrimp on the salad and they were COLD. The "big" salad was TINY and there was less than 4 or 5 ounces of lettuce, easily. In summary, poor portion sizes, lousy atmosphere and service, and mediocre food. Sad. read more

This place is hidden on the end of a strip mall behind a bunch of buildings. If you can find it - okay, it's not THAT hard to find - you will be met by an almost buffalo wings-style ordering process with cheap Mexican fare and flair. Friendly and knowledgeable service, albeit minimal. To be honest, there's nothing that particularly stands out about the place, but it's decent food for a fair price. Good margaritas, too. The Ground beef tacos are off the chain, the chicken tacos are off the chain. The nachos are also off the chain. There are very few menu items that are actually on the chain. My personal favorite are the ground beef tacos. I had some the other day and as I bit into one, the entire shell crumbled on me and a nice amount of taco filling fell onto the table. It made quite a mess. I then instinctively ran my two fingers across the table to scoop it all up and ate it. While doing this I noticed another patron watching me. At first I was embarrassed to be caught eating like an infant, but then while holding his taco in the air, he gave me a head nod, as if to say... "I completely understand taco buddy, I would have done the exact same thing." The tacos are really good you guys. read more

The margaritas are worth it alone - the wall of pictures had me drooling immediately. They are all large and in charge and are spins off the whole beer in a marg thing (beer-ita?). I had one with a Redd's Apple Ale to top it off. Recommended! For tacos, I tried the Shredded Chicken, Special Ground Beef, and Grilled Fish Taco. One of the better fish tacos I've had, BTW, but they were all delish. The Special Ground Beef was probably my fave, but I have a feeling that was due to the MSG that surely came from some sort of seasoning combination. Whatev. Fuzzy tacos has some good food. But a co worker recommended it to me as of something different to eat. So me and my boyfriend came here nad it looks exciting and nice. But. When we came in there wasn't no " hi welcome to fuzzy tacos" or when we were looking at the menu they didnt ask if we needed help finding anything. Which the customer service here sucks we ordered our food at 6:15 and our buzzer never went off we got our food about 6:35 so about 25 minutes. My boyfriend had to walk to to the lady that is ha doing the food and asked. She didnt give no " I'm sorry or it's coming right up or anything" she was always playing a free ound with the cashier his number is 41 he was a little rude as well. We've been dining at Fuzzy's two locations for about a year now. That's about dozen visits. The menu is a little above average offering the usual items like tacos, enchiladas, and burritos in chicken, beef, pork and fish. Good variety of sides. As for taste I have to confess I lean pretty hard towards the more authentic Mexican flavors so Fuzzy's doesn't come close if this is your expectation. That's not to say it's bad, it's just to say it's kinda predictable, Americanized Mexican food at a fair price with good service. The bad: as a side note on recent visit to the Manchester road location I saw the busboy using a broom to "clean" the table tops. Brought the matter to the attention of a manager but I did not see those tables properly cleaned. Pretty gross and a deal breaker for me! read more
