Stopped in a whim on way home from the beach and what a great find! Causal place with good variety of sandwiches and wraps that are all high quality and made fresh

Chicken Stir Fry

On Sunday I went to @gansettwraps in Narragansett. Located 1 mile from my winter apartment, I have been here many times. It's a favorite. I ordered my usual - a chicken stir fry on a sub roll. However I added an order of fries because that morning, doing my Laundry at 3D Laundry, the staff was talking about how good their fries were - so I had to try them. I was not disappointed! The fries are coated in a seasoning and were verse good with a nice crisp. The sandwich was good with sautéed onions and peppers.

This is my second time coming here and I would 100% recommend the chicken and falafel wrap, it was just as good as East Side Pockets!

This is an amazing sandwich spot in Narragansett near the beach! It has so many lunch options to chose from. During my last visit, I ordered the chicken pesto wrap made gluten free. It was delicious and was packed with chicken! There is a good amount of seating inside and my sandwich was made pretty quick by the staff.

Consistently delicious food and fast, friendly service. I highly recommend the chicken mozzarella and the chicken club.

Love the fresh wraps! It is one of a few places where I feel like the falafel is worth ordering.

I find the wraps to be 90% lettuce and the rest whatever filling you chose. Not worth the price or wait time.

Yum. I think these guys were the original pick pockets I frequented at URI. Falafels are so good. Highly recommend.

This place clearly gets busy quickly so glad we got there when we did. Got to enjoy the cocktail hour specials in addition to the regular menu. We tried a little of everything and everything was so delicious. There is still a ton more I want to come back to try. Martini and fries, dozen oysters, brussel sprouts, crudo, tofu bahn mi. Each of them was 10/10. Natural cut fries are my favorite and they were perfect. Brussel sprouts were rich and indulgent. The oysters came with lime and a kimchi mignionette. So fresh and unique. Crudo came with a decadent chili crisp. Flavorful and refreshing. The bahn mi looked pretty bland but was actually a delightful combination of flavors. We subbed the fries for a side salad and it was absolutely perfect. Plenty of street parking in Wakefield. Love that they're dog friendly. Overall excellent!

Purslane is that place for me after one amazing dinner a few weeks ago that I can't stop thinking about. The food is outstanding without being fussy. The service is warm without being too much. The space is beautifully decorated, and there's even coffee table photography books in the bathroom, like come on! Last but not least, they have the Champagne of Beers, so you know it's my jam. I only wish I lived closer but it's worth the drive and I'm looking forward to more memorable meals here.

Smaller shared parking lot to be mindful of here. Very welcoming staff that provided a great overview of the menu, drinks, made to take items and weekly specials. Casual relaxed atmosphere here with some music jamming in the background. Window bar seating if you are on your own or tables for four if meeting for a quick lunch bite. Started with a small chili which was fresh and full of flavor. For the main went with the Tuesday special with the recommended fish tacos (hearts of palm layered with nori flakes, crisp grated carrot, and shredded purple cabbage and a sliced jalapeño. Crispy tortilla with side of beans and rice). You can add a fresh pico and guac for additional prices, had both and were delicious! Assortment of drinks in the fridge along with some premade items (staff said it is rotational items and prepped earlier in the week if you want to max your options). After eating here can see what all the buzz was for a standout vegan option on island. A group came in after me and ordered a pizza that looked awesome as well. Will be back to try more of the menu when able!!

When you enter, there's a counter and a bell with a sign to ring it when you need help. There was a couple already inside of Sprout and Lentil perusing the menu. A woman came to the counter and sat us at different outdoor tables after taking our orders. Next time, I would get the burger that my husband ordered. I was envious as soon as the plate hit our table. My Cobb Salad was good, but the burger and fries were where it was at. Luckily, the fried cauliflower appetizer that we shared was really good.

We are here from out of town. From a faraway place where a majority of the population would prefer…read moreto have everyone who speaks Spanish (that they don't personally know) thrown into concentration camps simply for existing, so the choices of this style of food there are thin, at best. There are one or two restaurants that are passable for the area and would probably be a solid 3-3.5 out of 5. This place is a 5 out of 5. This place could be a 6 out of 5 compared to my local restaurants. And believe me, I took nearly two years of Spanish in high school, so I know a thing or two about a thing or two. I ordered fish tacos and my wife ordered the enchiladas verde (green) as takeout. When I got to the restaurant, I was greeted by three (tres) lads whereby one of them promptly handed me my order. When I pulled the food out of the bag back at the hotel, I was greeted with an absolute masterpiece of culinary art, the fish tacos. The red cabbage slaw covering the tacos, mixed with the sauce was beautiful (bonita) and vibrant. The enchiladas verde looked just as good, but were less vibrant in presentation. It seemed like the chefs cared about the product they were serving to their customers. The rice that came with the enchiladas had a great consistency and not dry at all - I can't stand dry rice. My wife said the enchiladas themselves were flavorful and seasoned very well and not the "suburban white lady" kind of seasoning. However, she doesn't write the reviews - I do - so I will talk about the fish tacos. There were three of them and I got them made with the corn tortillas (tortillas). Any fish taco I have ever had has always been small nuggets of fish smattered through the taco. These bad boys were absolute units where the entire bottom of the taco was one large fried piece of haddock, covered in a somewhat tangy sauce, and topped with red cabbage. The sauce and red cabbage made for a bit of a messy meal, so be prepared to get your hands dirty if you order this. I would not recommend getting these (or the enchiladas) if you had to drive down US Route 1 at the apparent local speed limit of 75 miles per hour and expected to just chow on some tacos while doing so. By the way,, what's with that, RI drivers? It's not the Autobahn. I had a RideOn bus 5 ft from my bumper while doing 70 on there yesterday. Calm down (or should I say 'clam down', amirite?). Anyway, this food was very good and next time I am in town, I would like to go there and sit down to eat while trying to ignore the fact that half the people around me here sound like Peter Griffin.

Escorted into the bar area, we chose a Counter style booth right next to the wood-burning stove. I found the additional warmth & cozy surroundings to be just terrific. That night, there was a jazz trio playing, and it added a real sense of flare to the place. My guest and I shared eggplant fries that were lightly coated & crisp absolutely delicious! For dinner he ordered a Caesar salad and lasagna and devoured every bit. I enjoyed the braised beef short ribs, which were tender, served with a rich velvety sauce & mashed potatoes. I think I'm going to add it to my calamari now! The kids chicken cutlet meal with fresh cut fries were amazing! The three of us ate the fries and still took the rest to go. Chicken cutlet was thin, crispy and moist inside. We always get the same pizzas wherever we go. Naturally, it makes comparing different restaurants on a good baseline. We got a large NY style (thin crust) pepperoni with half sausage. I'm not a huge sausage fan but my boys are. However, this crumbled sausage was delicious. The pizza is put into a wood fire pizza oven, crust was perfect; thin and cooked well but not burnt. The undercarriage held its shape with a nice bite and crunch! I had to finish off the meal with a Nutella pizza and I have zero regrets. A thin pizza crust with decadent Nutella spread all over it and sprinkled with crushed hazelnuts ended the meal perfectly. Ambiance and decor is modern and beautiful, family friendly and the staff is fantastic! I can't wait to go back and try other types of pizza. They offer Neapolitan, Grandma's and NY; not to mention other foods as well. Ciao!
