I was really disappointed with my experience at Gaucho Beach. The biggest issue started with the host. We waited at the front while she stood having a conversation with another employee instead of acknowledging or assisting us, even though there were multiple parties waiting behind us. It gave a poor first impression. Once we were seated, the service didn't improve. Our waiter took our drink order, but it took a long time before he came back to take our food order. After ordering, we experienced another long wait before our food finally arrived. What stood out the most was the overall atmosphere. The staff seemed unhappy and unmotivated, which made the restaurant feel unwelcoming. Good customer service can make a huge difference, but unfortunately that wasn't the case during our visit. read more

See photos for reference. The only thing on the menu I would recommend are the mussels, even though half of them were shells. The wine sauce was delicious, used it to season everything else. The food was great! We ordered the filet sliders, and the caramelized onions really made them stand out. The ambiance was lively, and the huge TV made it a perfect spot to watch the World Cup. Unfortunately, the service was unbelievably bad and completely took away from the experience. Our server never introduced herself or welcomed us she simply walked up and said, "Are you guys ready to order?" and that was the extent of our interaction. After dropping off our order, she essentially disappeared. We sat for what felt like forever trying to order a beer, but she never checked on us. I finally had to ask another server for help, and even they told me, "Your server should be coming," but she still didn't show up. When she eventually returned, she tried to take my beer order, only to tell me they were out. Fine, no big deal--but she still didn't refill our waters or ask if we needed anything else. Our sliders arrived with no napkins, no share plates, no extra ketchup, and no follow-up to see if everything was okay. We finished our meal with empty glasses and had to ask a busser for the check because our server was nowhere to be found. Even then, the check never came until she finally wandered back over to ask how everything was. I understand it was a busy day, but being busy doesn't excuse being completely absent. A little communication and basic attentiveness go a long way. The food and atmosphere were excellent, but the service was so inattentive and impersonal that it overshadowed what could have been a great visit. read more

Tried this new spot that my sister wanted to go since it's placed on the beachfront and I still have mixed feelings about it. When we arrived, there wasn't a wait yet so we were seated fast. Once we sat down we were approached to take our orders, after we informed our server it was our first time, we asked for additional time. Within 5 mins he was back, we felt rushed to order. I ordered the steak frites and a cocktail. The cocktails were strong but not delicious enough to return and I didn't like the steak as it had no flavor and was just a bad cut of meat given the largest portion was fat and no meat. Our server didn't check in on us nor refilled our water or even asked if we wanted to order more drinks. Once we waited over 30 mins of trying to get their attention, we didn't order more, we just paid and left. If you're looking for aesthetically pleasing place to sip a cocktail and chill, this may be your place. But if you're looking for good eats and vibes...not too sure. Came here for brunch on a Saturday. I love the R&B vibes. The place was crowded as they were showing some of the World Cup games on a big screen, which was pretty cool. I said at the bar, my friend and I ordered a bottle of champagne Chilaquiles and ended up having drinks after. This place has a lovely view and aesthetic. My only issue was that when we ordered Chilaquiles with protein, they did not come with eggs, even though eggs were on the dish on the menu. There seem to be a discrepancy and our server brought us a side of eggs when we requested it. Our group of five (not a large party) ordered food and two drinks using the QR/barcode system. Despite ordering digitally, the drinks didn't arrive until about 40 minutes later, which is unacceptable given how small our order was. When we asked about the delay, the waiter/bartender was noticeably rude and dismissive. The staff overall seemed unorganized and scattered, with servers appearing overwhelmed and unsure of responsibilities. The lack of coordination really took away from what could have been a great dining experience, especially in such a prime beachfront location. This place has a lot of potential because of the atmosphere and views, but the service needs serious improvement. Unfortunately, we left very disappointed. read more

Very disappointed with how Gaucho Beach handled the World Cup final. They advertised that they would be hosting the final and opening their doors at 10:00 AM, with no reservations accepted on game day. We arrived early, expecting to enjoy the full pre-game atmosphere. Instead, because there was a marathon taking place in Long Beach, they left hundreds of people waiting outside in the middle of the sun without any communication or updates. They didn't let us in until 12:00 PM, right as the match started. We completely missed all of the pre-game coverage, the opening show, and the team introductions--the very experience many of us came for. What makes this even more frustrating is the lack of communication. If they knew the marathon would delay entry, they should have informed customers in advance instead of falsely advertising a 10:00 AM opening. I'm posting this review before the game is even over because this has nothing to do with the result of the match. It's about poor organization, misleading advertising, and a lack of respect for customers who planned their day around this event. read more

Really enjoyed this daytime lunch! We sat at the bar which had a great view of the beach without having to be in the sun. Ordered the chorizo meatballs and they were delicious! The outside of the meatball was crispy and the inside was soft and chewy. It had a little bit of a spicy edge but it wasn't overwhelming. I think anyone can handle the level of spice on these meatballs. Since it was our happy hour, we ordered the carafe of sangria made of their red wine. It was sweet and ended with a mild wine taste; absolutely perfect! We got about five glasses out of it. The only thing that was a downfall was the customer service. It took a very lengthy time for a server to check in with us and it was a little challenging to get their attention. Which was a bummer, because we were sitting at the bar. This place is great, with a few areas that I feel could use improvement. Came here for brunch on a Saturday around 11:30am - noon. We were able to get seating on the 2nd floor, overlooking the beach. The latin music and shift to house disco music was a vibe. The couch seating and tables were not the most comfortable. It had no type of support, you practically fell into the seat and you are sitting so low, that the table comes up to your chest/neck. But whatever, after a few drinks, it didn't matter. Will have to add also that their silverware and glasses aren't thoroughly cleaned. I had to send my champagne glass back as it had lipstick residue on the rim and my spoon had food stuck from last person. However food was delicious and staff was friendly. We ordered a bottle of champagne, a carafe of sangria, along with a few mixed drinks. We had their burger, sandwich, steak, chilaquiles, taquitos - all wonderfully executed. We also ordered the flan for dessert. Customer service I felt maybe could have improved. When we were leaving, we noticed the cute Happy Bday acrylic sign with a flan that was being sent over to a table. Although it was shared to our server we were there celebrating my mom's birthday, it was sad that the server didn't take it upon themselves to also provide the same detail and attention that the other table got to my mom. This was our first time visiting this restaurant on a Sunday evening, and I was genuinely excited to try it. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from the moment we arrived. When we got there, we stood waiting for several minutes before the hostess finally acknowledged us. We asked if there was availability for walk-ins, and she told us there was a 25-minute wait, even though we could clearly see several empty tables. We decided to wait, but while waiting, we needed to use the restroom. We were shocked by how dirty and poorly maintained the restrooms were. It immediately raised concerns about the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. Eventually, we received a text saying our table was ready. When we checked in with the hostess, she led us to a table that was still dirty. I asked if that was the only table available, and her response was, "You can go look on the other side." My husband and I were surprised by the lack of professionalism. We walked around and found other available tables, but they were also unclean. At that point, we decided to leave. I have never experienced such poor customer service or seen a restaurant in such disarray. Between the dirty restrooms, unclean tables, and dismissive attitude from the hostess, the entire experience was extremely disappointing. If a health inspector had walked in that evening, I imagine there would have been serious concerns. Sadly, what was supposed to be an exciting first visit turned into a frustrating experience, and we will not be returning. read more
