Let's start with the service. We waited about 30 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. We finally had to wave someone down and ask if anyone was planning on taking our order. Not exactly the level of service you'd expect from a place charging these prices. The seating was also a joke. Half of our group got a beautiful ocean view, while the rest of us got the stunning view of... a wall. Then came the drinks. Somehow even the beer tasted watered down. I didn't know that was possible, but here we are. The food was the biggest disappointment. Everything was ridiculously overpriced for what was served. The chilaquiles looked like someone opened a bag of chips, threw some sauce on top, and called it a day. We weren't given utensils, and when we asked for ranch and extra cheese, our waiter looked completely baffled and wasn't even sure they had either available. For the amount of money we spent, the experience was honestly embarrassing. Between the terrible service, watered-down drinks, and mediocre food, this place completely missed the mark. Save yourself the frustration and go to Tequila Jack's instead. Better food, better drinks, better prices, and a better atmosphere. What a shame the place is really nice next to the water have outdoor seating and pet friendly. However, there's a server named Emily that I felt so discriminated upon. Served every other table around our table, but never came to us.. flagging her down, asking her at least five times for salt and pepper for my ceviche that is already hot because it's been an hour with no salt and pepper and constantly asking for salt and pepper. Everyone else around our table was served fine for some reason our table was ignored completely. I didn't want a free meal. The manager was nice enough to try to make it better. Decided to come here for the beachfront view and that's exactly what we got. Pros: beachfront view, decent food, ambiance is lively, service was okay. Mussels and skirt steak was good. Cons: parking, and wait time for walk ins and ordering. Food: lomo saltado's sauce is based on bbq sauce not like the typical lomo saltado you'd expect. Beautiful view, you're right on the water. Staff was sweet. The problem was the food wasn't good. We ordered the guacamole, fish and chips and mussels. I was told the mussels were good. The guacamole tasted preserved; and left a lot to be desired. The fries were limp and the fish (chips) were really bad. They were kind of crisp, tasteless, with a watery substance coming out of them and there was something hard in one of them. Not appetizing. This is my second time here. My first, it was delicious and I think I remember a different menu. I didn't order a drink this time, just ginger ale. Given the view, I may come back for a drink, but no food for me. read more

Gaucho Beach is an enchanting beach cafe restaurant with a tantalizing view of the Alamitos beach. Their menu is a blend of Argentine and California cuisine. Its indoor and outdoor seats were very spacious. I came to grab a Pederoso Smoothie (orange, mango, kale and pineapples) and Spinach Empenada. Drink was refreshing and fresh; Empanada was scrumptious and soft. I dig both items. Staff were cordial and professional. Prices were a bit expensive given its prime location. This was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've ever had. The restaurant advertised that they had 350 seats for the FIFA watch party, so we waited in line for almost two hours expecting there would be enough space. After all that waiting, we found out they actually had fewer than 100 seats available. It felt very misleading and like they greatly exaggerated their capacity just to attract a bigger crowd. After being turned away, we had no choice but to stand outside in the hot sun. We still ordered smoothies and food while waiting, but when we asked for water, we were told they had "stopped giving out water"--not even tap water. Seriously? Refusing to provide even a cup of tap water to paying customers standing outside in the heat is unacceptable. Overall, the event was poorly managed, the advertised seating capacity was misleading, and the customer service was extremely disappointing. We left feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. I will never come back, and I would not recommend this place for any large event. Very misleading. read more

You neeeeed to get the strawberry basil margarita. It's a MUST. GRACE and JOSUE were amazing! They were both so friendly and accommodating. I got there early so upstairs wasn't opened yet (but I love setting a romantic vibe for myself so I really wanted to go upstairs). We came here to celebrate our friend's birthday and were seated next to the bar and kitchen, a nice square table to seat 7 of us. The drinks were nice, refreshing, and pretty strong. I would say that the appetizers were better than the entree I ordered which was the lomo saltado. It had a different flavor that I'm not used to compared to other lomo saltado dishes I've had. The calamari and shrimp taquitos were nice starters along with chips and salsa. For my beverages, I had the white sangria and the Red Bull coconut mojito. Whoever the bartender was that Sunday afternoon, kudos to you! Would I comeback? Maybe. But not anytime soon. There's a parking lot but it does get packed. About 20 minutes later, we walked up to the bar and were going to order our own drinks to take back to the table, but do you know, a bartender with a personality offered us some seats and service... From that point on things were good. Bartender suggested custom drinks, some appetizers and from it went from 2 star for atmosphere to 4 star for bartender and the crew behind the bar, they would have got more, but my seat at gaucho island and dehydration wouldn't let me forget... This review is long overdue since our party was last year, but this team absolutely deserves the recognition--especially after a terrible experience we had with a charter company this year that made us deeply regret not booking here again! We had the entire rooftop privately to ourselves, which offered a breathtaking, panoramic view of the ocean. Plus, they have an elevator so it's fully accessible. They had a beautiful, classy setup that really elevated the whole vibe of our event. It looked way better than the private yacht party we had this year! The service was excellent from start to finish. Every single server was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive. Everyone at our party loved the great food, especially the empanadas, which were a huge hit! The food never ran out, with just one small exception: the calamari only came out on one round tray that definitely wasn't enough for a crowd of 65 people, so I'd recommend clarifying that if you have a large group. Burger was cooked correctly with a yummy side Greek salad. Ceviche Nikkei tasted fresh and was a bit spicy. Will def return many times this summer! Will say service was pretty bad. 3 diff servers in plain clothes..had no idea which one was actually mine and if they were serving or customers. Our server, Yesi, truly elevated the entire experience. She was warm, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. She recommended the Nikkei ceviche and the mussels to start, and both were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and the perfect appetizers. For my entrée, I went with her recommendation of the ribeye, and I'm so glad I did. It was cooked perfectly, incredibly juicy, and easily one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. What impressed me most was Yesi's attentiveness. Even while managing several tables, she consistently checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. Her genuine hospitality made us feel well taken care of throughout the meal. I highly recommend Gaucho Beach for a girls' night, date night, or any special occasion. Staff at the bar was not helpful when ordering drinks- took about 20-30mins while we waited for a table When we were seated upstairs, there was no R&B music playing as it was originally advertised. Such a cool spot right on the beach - we pulled over at Gaucho Beach (separate from café) for delicious Argentinian dining on our bike ride from Naples to Shoreline Village. Our waiter Bang helped us narrow down the extensive choices on the menu. The Ceviche Nikkei, chunks of ahi tuna with plenty of cucumber and onions was like a large bowl of poke. The Pechuga a la Brasa chicken was grilled perfectly with chimichurri on the side and awesome mashed potatoes. We loved our table overlooking the ocean front bike path. There is a second story outdoor dining area open for evenings that promises a great view of the oil islands, Queen and port. We now want to ride again for a sunset dinner. read more

I finally made it Gaucho Beach restaurant on Sunday for the first time, I had reservations for 1 only, when i got there the lady on check in could not figured out about my reservation, she put me at bar, when i did ask for table, she told be scanned QR code to order food and drinks, I was almost completed with my order when the bartender finally came to me, he told me don't order QR order through me, after being 10 minutes he tells me that, I ask for beer and guacamole and chips to start off, it took over 5 minutes to get a beer, the beer was warm not cold enough, I put my food order in, i told bartender the beer was warmer, i still finished the beer because I was thirsty, I ask him make me a nice cold margarita and i told him what type of tequila i want, he told no problem, i got you, he said, ten minutes i reminded him, I'm still waiting for Margarita, he completed forgot about me, just a reminder I was sitting in the front of him, my food came the lady that drop it off, I got attention to tell her that i need utensils, she walked away from me never came back, after more than 5 minutes got attention of the bartender that i needed utensils, i finally got my utensils eight minutes after my food was served in the front of me, as time when on i ask 2 bartender for a glass of water, both of bartender forgot about me, i finally got a glass water after the 3rd attempt, when i ask to pay for my check, i noticed the bartender had mark the percentage of tip that he wanted, that should be up to costumers how much to leave as a tip not the bartender or server, I was very disappointed at service staff, i noticed looking around the bar are , the bartender's were catering to local people that were just for few beers or drinks, i spent $153 on myself plus i gave him 20% tip, the place amazing vibes been next to sand, the food was good, but the service was not good enough.
