Normally, I don't have issues with any location but my last experience here was ridiculous. It took almost 30 minutes to get our drinks, they were out of a lot of food and it took a very long time to get our food. Mine and my moms food came out and it took 25 minutes for the other people in our group to get theirs when we all put our food on at the same time, even another family that arrived after we did got their food before all of our party did. First time being here in a long time. Been avoiding coming here because I got very sick the last time I had this place. Today I got the small bowl. Put chicken and shrimp in for my protein. Added one spoon of pepper, two of salt, one garlic, and three of the cayenne. Then for veggies I used onions and red pepper. For sauce I got teriyaki. Had it made with fried rice and an egg. Was very pleased with how everything was cooked. For a single person I would suggest the small bowl. I thought it was enough food for one person. Just load up your bowl as much it can take without falling out the sides. I say that because a small bowl was ten dollars and I dont think for ten dollars, it was enough food. Also the reason why I didn't give five stars is because the rest of the staff never smiled or were friendly. Our server was very nice though. Brand new Genghis Grill location in lake worth. Nice location in a fairly new strip. Just look for the Lowes and it's in the same center. There's a lot of things different about this Gg location that you won't see at the others. I have eaten in GG in Dallas off 75 and lovers. And a newer GG in Frisco near stone briar. This location is by far the cleanest with most updated looking decor. It's a very nice setting. The biggest difference I noticed at this location is how you pick your food for the bowls. My one gripe at GG is that the protein and sauce areas get pretty messy. A lot of customers usually reuse the tongs in different meats and spill sauce everywhere when mixing them. Here you have workers getting the meat and sauce for you so it eliminated that messy stuff. This in my book is a huge plus. Other then that the taste and service was really on par with the other locations I have been. I really hope they implement that service idea at other locations. Honestly it is much more sanitary. 5 stars for trailblazing with this new idea! They also have these touch pad ordering screens for drinks which is pretty cool and i never saw that at the Dallas location. Fresh Bok choy, delicious baby corn, and as much meat as you can stack in the bowl. Awesome! read more

Horrible service we use to come in every week the service was bad then so we thought coming back today would be better but when we come in today we got seated made our bowls order our pop stickers after we make our bowls and come back to our table there is a 7 person group and a baby is sat next our little 2 people table we ask to be moved so we don't have to sit squashed then we get seated some where else after I ask after sitting for a while waiter comes over ask if we got our pop stickers and we said no then he said but do you still want them and I say yes only to receive my bowls no popstickers what so ever we are almost done with our food so I tell never mind . Came here for lunch on a Saturday, and we were greeted by a lady who told us she would be taking care of us. Before we took our seat, she took our drink order, and then tried to sell us appetizers (again, before we had taken our seats). We went ahead and ordered the edamame to start. Without going into too much detail, we felt very rushed. I finally had to tell her that we are not in a hurry so she would give us more time to look at the menu and decide what we wanted to do. Other than the service, the food was good. Such a great concept to be able to build your own bowl. It is easy to eat healthy here. I had a big bowl of vegetables with some chicken and various seasonings and sauce. Wonderful! I will be back to Genghis Grill, but I hope that we can have better service next time. They are known for building your own plate. If you've never been there before, it is totally confusing and you feel rushed because there's people behind you. They need to fix their signs because you can't read the flavors for the sauces. We were told oh on no you don't pour the sauce in your bowl, you put them in these little containers. So ok, I think they are dipping sauces?! I got couple spicy ones and regular ones for the kids! Ah, no! At the end You hand the tray to them to cook! They don't ask anything about the sauces you have chosen. We are very lucky they didn't poor the spicy sauce on the kids dish. I hate to leave a bad review, and unless it is absolutely necessary and in this case, IT IS! Omg , nobody was at the podium when we walked in, after about 5 minutes, she finally greeted us and left us at a table., we waited another 10 minutes for the poor waitress, who by the way is the only person working the floor. 2 men who I am assuming are managers just walked around aimlessly doing nothing. Floors were filthy and sticky. The food bar was so gross, we didnt even choose a meat item for our bowl. It was sketchy looking. We usually frequent the one on Bryant Irving and it's always awesome. I stopped by yesterday at 11 am. There weren't many customer's there. I sat in the bar area. I ordered the Pad Thai with tofu. It was tasteless and dry. Honestly, it was the very worst Pad Thai I have had in my life. I thought about putting some ice tea in it to loosen it up. There was too much tofu and not enough vegetables. This is new place in Lake Worth. It is laid out differently than the others that we frequent but they have 2 lines to build your bowl so moves pretty quickly. My son has been here several times since they have opened and said they were not very good at keeping the ingredients of the bowls separated on the grill. If you have food allergies, beware. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. Usually new restaurants take a while to get rolling but not this one. I love the Asian tacos, but this night I had the Thai street noodle bowl. It was good with just the right amount of spice and heat. When I was first looking at the menu the waitress was quick to recommend several things. I always like when an employee recommends something. I think this location is a winner. The place had sticky floors from spilled drinks, food and cups were on tables hadn't been cleaned and were not clean when we left an hour later. This place reminds me of Flat Top Grill (illinois) and the experience was great! In fact, the menu and selection options are quite similar to Flat Top Grill, but what stood out to me the most was the service that me and my family received. Marcos was our server and he was a great guy all around. Food is never a disappointment HOWEVER service was! First of all, the restaurant wasn't even halfway packed for service to be this poor. The service is SO terrible my food just arrived and I'm not even eating it till I finish this review and I haven't eaten all day. My younger two children ordered mac and cheese. My son's mac and cheese came first. 10 minutes later, my other daughter's mac and cheese came. My husband, older daughter and my bowl was a regular build your own. My daughter and I went through the line together however by the time my bowl came out she was completely done eating. My husband's bowl came 2 minutes after. It took a total of 45 minutes for all of our table of 5 to be served our food. Don't want to come back to this location again although it's right up the road, I'd rather go 15 more minutes to western center. read more

When myself and my family walked in, the hostess couldn't be bothered to look up at us from whatever she was doing behind the little desk. "How many?" was the only indication she had noticed us. We got to our table and the waiter seemed like our drink order (which was only a couple waters and some sodas) was a terrible inconvenience to him. He asked us what size bowls we wanted, but having not been to a GG in a very long time I wasn't sure what he meant, and we had been given no menus or other info on the size or costs of bowls. He muttered something I couldn't really make out and walked off, leaving my wife and I feeling as though we had done something wrong. Didn't see him again for several minutes, but by that time we decided just to go somewhere else. Talked to the manager on the way out and instead of even really offering much in the way of an apology, she said "well good luck getting in anywhere else this time of night." So lame. When my friend and I first arrived the guy that greeted us was friendly but forgetful. My friend was waiting for a high chair with her fussy 1 1/2 year old so I had to grab one from. Not a big deal but it was somewhat a bad start to our experience. Wes turned everything around! He greeted us with a smile and took great care of me, my friend and our two kids. My first time here. I took a recipe to help me build my bowl. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of seafood. I put shrimp, calamari, and salmon in my bowl. You should probably contact corporate headquarters to change the name because it sounds exactly like it tastes like a foot fungus, it was absolutely disgusting. We went in for the first time to be greeted by a woman on her phone, we then had a less the educated woman as our waitress (will explain later) was handed our menus and we told her it was our first time at this establishment as kept waiting for her to explain the grill to us, so I finally asked her after about 5 minutes if I could go take a peek, looked like nobody had cleaned the food area for a couple of hours; then walked back to my table and decided on a burger took about twenty minutes to cook two burgers which were severely undercooked, the side was again slaw? Not what was expected when ordering a burger but was willing to give it a try. I tried the slaw the slaw had no vinegar sauce on it it was absolutely flavorless, and the noodles were mushy and the "fresh veggies" where not crisp at all. When we notified our waitress and told her that our food was "eh" she said " Yeah I don't usually order that or eat the sides they are not very good " she walked back to the chef and told him and he said staring at us that is not my problem it's yours and you need to deal with it. When we were sitting waiting for our food about 10 employees where walking around clueless and where pointing and staring as we where eating our food! My family has been in the restaurant business for years and this was just truly one of the worst experiences I have ever had. If I could give this place less than a zero I would. Did not like the changes they have made. I am use to serving myself at the food bar. Did not like the selection of veggies. Didn't have half of what others have.
