Delicious! Went here during a vegan diet and was very pleased with the options they had. I was absolutely stuffed, the portions were great and everything was freshly made. Went at a pretty good time (3:30ish) where there weren't too many people, so we were attended to in a timely fashion and had great service. we had lunch today at George's for my Sweetheart's birthday. Our waiter was Jason and he was very attentive and explained the specials very thoroughly. Three of us had the special which was the lamb, rice and salad... I myself had the felafel appetizer with Hummus and Pita Bread, but also got to sample the lamb and side dishes. Everything was delicious. Two of our friends had never been to George's and were so impressed and happy with our choice. Dessert was a Custard for Bob and a special Baklava for the others, all of which were FABULOUS. all in all lunch was great, as was the service. read more

I have now been to this particular George a total of 5 times. I kept giving it chances and thought my experiences with the service were just flukes, but enough is enough. I will not be going back. EVER. The waitress we had made my entire table uncomfortable with how pushy she was. She would constantly reach over us to flip our menu and shove our glasses into our hands to show us a "Greek toast". Not to mention the hostess we had was also rude even though I think she might've thought she was being funny. Sure the lamb chops are okay and so is the saganaki, but it is not worth going here. The prices are a tad bit over fair, but the service is what really makes me never want to go here again. Did I mention when she said she would bring the dessert tray and we firmly said we were too full and would just like the bill, she kept insisting that she bring out the desserts, and then settled on bringing out both the tray and the bill? George's is my favorite place to go for lunch on Sunday the service is always fast and outstanding. I love the happy hour because they have it daily!!! The lamb chops are the best!!! All of the food is really good you can't go wrong with anything! It's always very consistent as well which is great!! My favorite part is the cute new manager they have he is super nice and I see him helping out with everything from bussing tables to running food or just chatting up the customers and everyone always seems satisfied!! This has been the best experience I have had coming here. When we walked up to to the host stand a lady having dinner (Carmen), who we later learned was just on her day off and having dinner, took us to our table with menus, then returned to her dinner. Just that alone made this a great experience. Once sat we were remembered by our previous server, she was able to remind us of the wine bottle we enjoyed the last time we visited. This all occurred before we had even ordered our appetizer. Oh did i mention a manager visited us and had a wonderful conversation with us but also topping off our wine. This place is great because the food is good, there never is a wait, and they will deliver and it's fast delivery! I never get anything but their gyros, either the plate or the pita. Both are so good. They are honest and will give you a good wine recommendation rather than just recommending the most expensive or the house wine. Great for groups or a date. read more

The Lamb chop here is one of the best I have eaten. The seasoning is so great that I cannot smell the lamb itself.

I was able to walk here from my hotel (The Varden) so it was super convenient. The gyro I had was delicious! Their Greek wine was oh so good! The waitress Cash (spelling?) was amazing! I was so full with the gyro, I didn't save room for any baklava. So Cash gave me one to go, and paid for it herself. She was incredible! I had the baklava later in the hotel. It was amaze balls! Scrumptious, authentic greek dishes. The stuffed salmon over greek salad was delicious, the dolmas perfect and the saganaki out of this world. The atmosphere is romantic and charming. Talk about an addiction! I am so addicted to George's Greek Cafe that I tend to have it almost once a week. The Chicken Greek Salad is to die for! My husband is obsessed with the gyro plate and steamed veggies. I will say this though, the location on 2nd Street tends to be the ONLY restaurant out of the 3 in the area that consistently makes their food amazing! The food was pretty good. I got the dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) as an appetizer. It was alright taste wise. I thought it was a small portion and not really worth $6. As an entree, I got the falafel platter. This was really good. My friend got a side order of gyro meat which actually complimented my dish really well. Franco our server and Janeth the hostess made our dinner tonight. They opened the outdoor seating for us even though we were the only guests wanting that area.
