Georges has been our family's go-to place to celebrate family milestones for over 20 years. We originally found George's on Pine Ave (the OG location) and have celebrated birthdays, graduations, holidays, and family get-togethers ever since. Niki and her team at Belmont Shore have kept the tradition alive and well with their attention to detail and service. The recipes at this location are as good as you will find anywhere. It's my favorite food on earth! I personally would like to thank Niki and her crew for helping us celebrate the life of my best friend who recently passed. The Georges catering team provided the most incredible assortment of food we could have imagined. The value was off the charts. The delivery was flawless and inexpensive. Second Street to Hermosa Beach isn't easy. I just can't thank you enough. Niki, Clayton, thank you for making my friend's send-off a perfect one. He would have loved it. We love you.

Such great food! Been coming to George's on 2nd Street for about 20 years. Never disappoints, just really really good Greek food. We had the lamb chops yummy, spanakopita appetizer, so delicious and a gyros sandwich. We ended up taking half of it home and I can't wait to eat the leftovers. Dory was our waitress and she was very helpful and friendly. We parked on a side street just right off 2nd. Very easy. I definitely recommend George's Greek on 2nd Street.

George's is our go-to whenever we are in the area, and it never disappointments. From the delicious food to the warm and helpful service, a visit to George's is like a culinary hug (though you're just as likely to get an actual hug from the wonderful team)! The avgolemeno soup is a fave on chillier days, and my boys always love the lamb.

George's is one of our fave restaurants on Belmont Shore. The food, ambience and service has never disappointed us. We have ordered the calamari, chicken spinachi, stuffed grilled salmon, the steak entree, gyro plate, baklava and another dessert, galaktoboureko. All are delicious! There are other things on the menu we look forward to trying on our next visit. On Mondays, they have half off wine bottles which is a great deal. We have tried a Greek red wine which was nice. Last night, I tried the Apla rose Greek wine which was recommended to us by one of our servers and I loved it. Will definitely order it again on our next visit. Their Greek beer, Hillas, is also a nice light beer that compliments a lot of their dishes. If you haven't checked this place out, drop by! Kick off your work week on their half off wine bottle Mondays or check out their happy hour specials. Highly recommend!

My buddy and I did a SUP session around Naples and we decided to go to one of his fav restaurants for dinner. Considering it was a Friday night, the wait at George's was not too bad, less than 15 minutes. We got a wonderful table outside. He got his favorite stuffed steak and I tried the kale salad. Great meal especially after our adventure. Casual. We parked in the lot behind the restaurant. Great service. Please come and create your own experience.

Had lunch here in the middle of the week and it was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and well prepared. I had the pastitso with a side salad and side of avgolemeno soup. I'm a fan of avgolemeno soup and this was really good because it was very lemony. My buddy had the kale salad and she said it was delicious. I didn't try it, but it looked delicious. I had a nice Greek coffee. I took a piece of baklava home. It wasn't that good The service was stellar. Our server, Dori, is the daughter of the owner. A bright and beautiful young lady. They were both a delight and very attentive. We spoke about Greece and Cyprus. The restaurant is very cutely decorated with a cool map of Greece back by the bathrooms.

This was a great spot for a family get together. Service was excellent and very friendly. All of the food we had was amazing from the gyro sandwich to salads and soup! And they also have several selections on the kids menu (& crayons & coloring sheet). Perfect place to get your Greek food fix!

Kleftiko - Friday special on 01/31/25

Dined in on 01/31/25 - First time here. Have you ever dined somewhere and everything was just perfect? The food, the service, the ambiance. No? Well look no further because this is the place to be! We walked in and were greeted and seated like any other place. THEN... the experience began. You are greeted by your server and on this night, we had Simon. Such a great person! So welcoming and charismatic! He gave us the information on their Friday special, which was Kleftiko: a traditional Greek dish of slow-roasted lamb with potatoes and vegetables. Slow-roasted for six hours. I thought my friend and I agreed to share it and get another dish as well but she wanted her own. Lol so here is what we ordered: Kelftiko - 2 orders lol - The meat was soooo tender! Same with the potatoes which had a nice texture and seasoning to it. The side salad was sooo fresh! Dolmathes: Grape Leaves Stuffed with Ground Beef, Rice, Tomato, Spices, Tzatziki *Vegetarian upon Request - This was surprisingly amazing! Such a simple dish but absolutely delicious. We enjoyed our meal with a bottle of Chianti wine. Both dishes were amazing. Their food is fresh and all made in-house. Because of this, their food gives off a home-cooked feeling and personal touch. The manager came over and said hello. After a short chat, he offered us a complimentary baklava: a rich and flaky layered pastry dessert made with thin phyllo dough, chopped nuts, and a sweet syrup or honey. My friend and I are coming here at least once a month from now on. When you get amazing food and meet amazing people, how can you not?! 10/10 absolutely will be back!

My friend and I visited George's and was met with a warm welcome by our server Camden. She guided us through the menu to see what they had. I ordered the steak and although I asked for med rare it came out well done but that's okay because it was still so flavorful and just hope next time it's cooked correctly. Camden was nothing less than great ! She was attentive and checked on us and even gave us some baklava to try as it was our first time here. I can't wait to come back to try some more and for Camden as well.

Took me right back to the homeland! Absolutely delicious and exceptional service. I am so happy I stumbled upon George's! Dolmathes, spanakopita, lambchops, and baklava were all exceptional. A beautiful spot - thank you so much!

Food is so fresh which always matters but when you're getting a Greek rap with vegetables and falafel, the freshness is the most important thing. Service is cordial and simple and workers are expressing gratitude to the customers. I like the fact that it is on the corner with big open wall on each side of the street which especially helps not just for people watching when you eat but during the hot days. It's a big bright place and very clean. I do not find prices to be expensive for what you get. If you order combo with a wrap, french fries and drink it will be about $18, which these days is about right. I'm happy we have them in our community, very good place! This is a short-order restaurant where you order at the counter and then they call out your number and you come retrieve it. We were lucky as our food came to our table by the gal, I don't know why we're so special. Ambiance: B. Easy breezy winds breeze through this joint with the sliding glass panoramic doors open. They have a coded to the bathroom that I never figured out because my fiancé's code memory is sparse. They are very liberal with allowing people to change the tv channels to what they want to watch as they allowed a FIFA soccer fan turn on the 3rd place game. Nutrition 4 Men + Ladies Tip: Order the Tahini Crunch salad (dressing on side, barely using one dip just to try it) with falafel to pack a protein power punch on the side. So glad I finally got to stop by many years later for dinner! Parking was easy (on a weeknight). Plenty of street parking and many open meters but I can see it being very difficult on weekends. Bake in some time to find parking! There's both indoor and outdoor seating at this location. This inside is cozy and there's a second room for additional seating. I went on a Thursday night and it was slammed. They do not take reservations but they do have a waitlist via toast that you can join while you walk around and wait for your table. Plenty to do and see on 2nd street. We ordered the party platter for 4 people! It was the perfect amount of food with leftovers to take home. Everything was cooked to PERFECTION. Our beef was a textbook medium rare and was so juicy and tender, as was the rest of the meat. The chicken was so moist and flavorful, as was all the shawarma. All meats were seasoned beautifully. The rice underneath was stunning as well and really caught all the juices from the meat on top. The roasted tomatoes, onions, and pickles were the perfect compliments to help freshen up the palette during the meal. The sauces were amazing and there was a clear favorite (the garlic sauce) which was annihilated by all four of us. Service was friendly! It was very packed so it was slow at times but understandably so. They come by and give you orange blossom water for your hands post meal - what a treat! We smelled amazing! NO NOTES FOR OPEN SESAME! I have to come back with more friends! We did have an issue but it was with another patron who had the audacity to yell at my table (while I was in the restroom) for "having too much fun"?!?! This is a public restaurant and it was loud as hell in there because it's tight and everyone talks over each other, not to mention the open kitchen. The energy in the restaurant is exciting and frenetic. Ambiance (5/5): Although we didn't sit inside, it was super cute, with classy boho vibes. The restroom was clean and well-decorated (although, not gonna lie, I don't know how I felt about the big mirror facing the toilet). The outside patio area was airy, and although right by the street, I didn't find it unpleasant. Service (3/5): It was just so-so. They sat us down quickly, gave us our menus and checked on us maybe twice. It wasn't super busy, but we had to wait to ask for things like extra plates and water for our dog. Food Overall (5/5): Food was delicious. We got the beef shawarma lunch special and got fries for the side (extra charge) and also the chicken shawarma lunch special with the hummus side. Beef Shawarma (4/5): It had a nice toasty flavor, perhaps from the spices, and the pickled veggies really complemented it. My only complaint was that I wish it had a bit more of the white sauce (maybe adding more hummus would have helped). It was also strangely a bit watery, maybe from the veggies. Overall, it was still a yummy wrap. Chicken Shawarma (5/5): The chicken shawarma tasted more balanced to me overall. I don't recall the meat being dry, although I did also slather it with a bit of hummus. I thoroughly enjoyed this wrap. Fries side (5/5): Their fries are made in house and it tastes so fresh. It was crispy on the outside yet still gooey and moist on the inside. I'm not sure if they make their own ketchup too, as it looked clumpier and tasted really fresh too. The kids gobbled this up. Hummus and pita (5/5): It came with a generous amount of both hummus and pita. The hummus was well flavored and blended, and it really complemented everything on the table. The pocket pita bread was not what I had in mind (I'm used to thicker ones), but the kids really loved it overall. Ice cream (4.5/5): We ordered two scoops from the dessert menu. They were both really thick, creamy and almost chewy like liquidized mochi. It was a very interesting texture but nonetheless a nice tasty treat on a hot day. I much preferred the vanilla bean, as the pistachio tasted and looked rather artificial (and I'm a pistachio ice cream lover). This place had so many to-go orders during the afternoon we were there. I can see why. Food is super fresh and tasty. I think we will be back the next time we are visiting.
