I know that this store is still in its soft opening, so I feel it's only right that I give them a review that is "average" rather than a 1 star, although it's honestly how I felt after I left. I hope they fix things before their grand opening! Let's see, where to begin -- First off, quick tip! Their hours are incorrect on Yelp. As no one has claimed the business, I can why that is. I noticed on a previous menu, it says that they are open until 12, but as of today, their menu states that their hours of operation are 11AM-11PM. I was a fan of the TASTE on their mi go. The flavor is there, however, it's on the heavier, greasiest side of the scale. I decided on the stir fried version (mi kho) - their sauce is on point (aside from the greasiness) and the meat to noodle ratio is perfect, in my opinion. Downsides to the noodles? It's definitely NOT worth the $7 it's priced at, considering how small the bowl is. Apparently it's "traditional" that the bowl is that small b/c the Motherland would only eat small portions late at night. Understandable... but not here. I actually thought that it was going to be a decent portion... until I realized that the couple sitting across from me only seemed like they were enjoying an endless amount of noodles because they had ordered 4 bowls to share. The side of broth for the dry stir fried noodles tasted OK. Also very oily and could do for a strain or two - there was a huge piece of scum in my bowl. I was also kind of disappointed with a few things - I showed up an hour before closing, but basically everything on their menu was already unavailable. Not even the simple stuff! No tofu, stewed meat, or even rice! I had to stop myself from asking about items other than their noodles because I figured it was already all sold out. Their servers, although friendly and helpful, were awkwardly lingering by our table, 30 minutes before closing as if they didn't have to do anything to do before closing time. I sincerely hope that this establishment will do better and fix a few things before their grand opening!!!! read more

I have been to this place several times and the food is nice and simple. They have house specials but usually, I order the noodles with pork, shrimp, and a lot of other weird parts. The food comes out warm and the ingredients are tasty. They have a few sauces that go well with it that they include but I personally prefer it plain with the sauce they have at the bottom of the bowl. Mixed with a few diced green chilis and it has a nice spicy kick to it. It is not exactly exceptional food unlike other restaurants but it is a place that you can go to over and over again without spending a lot of money. read more

Mi go here is ok nothing as a wow factor. I ordered the dry egg noodle/rice noodle with shrimp and ground pork and my friend order the House Special Mi Go. The noodle was so soft and sticky since it was over cook. The dry noodle missing sauce and flavor. I had to add soy sauce and sriracha with chili oil to create that wow flavor. Mi go has been a great food I enjoyed since I was very young back in Vietnam. The taste Ghien Mi Go offer is 70% to the original. Food is good, I ordered a Hu Tieu and end up received a Mi. Service was just fine. The amount of food is just ok not too much or too little. read more

This one waiter took our order, super friendly! Food was good, we also ordered xi quach. It was big! I went up to the counter to pay. The owner asked if we enjoyed the food. Usually in Bolsa Town, they don't care if you like the food or not lol. I gave this place 2 stars for decor and service, and only 1/2 star for food. DECOR: I was impressed with the decor when I first entered today. It brought out my memories when I was in VN. I liked it, espeacially the low stools. It is exactly how the South in VN eat in the street food vendors. SERVICE: Comparing to a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in the area, this place's service is way better. They greeted us at the fisrt moment we came, and patiently took our orders. They also nicely answered all of my hub's questions. FOOD: It's just ok. We expected more about the taste of street food. However their taste wasn't bad at all. I liked the taste of broth, just it still lack of the very specific of HU TIEU GO/ MI GO flavor, and they use MSG. Last but not least, the price wasn't worth it. I just went to this restaurant today with my family for the first time after seeing this video, and I have to say that the bún bò huế and mì gõ is good. However, I have to say that the service is bad. We were told to sit at table #5 and the table was not wiped clean at all, the jalapeño and sate jar was laid opened at the middle of the table, which is not sanitized. The guy that took our order kept yawning at our face and he didn't bother to apologize. The gross part of the service is when another guy brought out our drinks has food all over his mouth while was chewing on the rice. I gave this place two stars because this place is pricey compared to other noodle restaurants nearby in town. Walking into this restaurant, I had little expectations because I have come across some negative reviews prior to coming in. HOWEVER, this place turned out to be way worse than what I have envisioned. The place was pretty packed, so I would be able to understand if the waitress would be a little worn out, and hence subpar customer service. However, she appeared rather irritated and asked to get our orders. SHE STOOD LIKE 6 FEET AWAY FROM OUR TABLE WHILST THERE IS ENOUGH WALKING SPACE FOR HER TO STAND RIGHT NEXT TO US. At this point, one of my friends asked her kindly to step a little closer or to enunciate a little more clearly since the place is noisy and we could barely hear her. SHE GAVE US THE SILENT TREATMENT AND PROCEEDED TO GIVE US EVEN MORE ATTITUDE. That was only the beginning of a hell-like, distressful ordering process. She continued in her disrespectful manners and displayed rushy behaviors, as if she is hinting that we took too long and should hurry up. Her facial expressions at that point were nothing short of contempt for us. Also, one of my friends asked about the ingredients of one of the dish, she just gave a reluctant answer and rolled her eyes. That was the customer service aspect. Now onto the food, the wonton was rather small. The noodles were okay. BUT WE CAUGHT A GLIMPSE OF HAIR IN THE SOUP. At that point, the expectations were already crushed. The bar was so low it seemed non-existent. But hair in the soup was our last straw. If the customer service was not going to be good, and the food was average, then we expected a little better sanitation and food security. We were lucky that the owner was very nice and open to any comments that we had. We just told her that the customer service was not very satisfactory, since we understood that it probably wasn't in her knowledge how bad the workers treated customers.
