An honest, humble, neighborhood bar. Great staff and quick service, cold beer, and a solid menu of shareables. Always filled with regulars and locals - a good sign. The dog-friendly patio and easy access to the park are a perfect match. Thankful to live so close to this place!

A Welcoming water hole for our Ravenswood family. Variety of craft brews, delicious food, amazing staff, and good cheer! 5 stars for a visit

Coming back to our old stomping grounds after almost 15 years! We can't believe our regular Friday/Saturday karaoke nights!!! Service is as friendly as ever-- the owner really knows how to pick his employees!!! There was an issue when we were there with a guest and bartender handled it smoothly. We ordered the loaded fries and it was delicious!!! We needed something to fill our bellies before a concert and this definitely hit the mark! It was so good to be back... Thanks Gio's!!!

Love this place!! My fav for karaoke on the weekends, trivia during the week, and quick bites with reasonably priced beer.

If you're craving some pulled pork in your life, hop on over to Gio's. They use a really nice sauce that's not all vinegar or all sugar; it's balanced. This also isn't the place where the meat is swimming in sauce. Our order came out in a very reasonable amount of time and I really liked the grilled bun. It was pretty quiet when we came by, so if I'm looking for ambiance I might try a weekend night. The fries were also pretty good. Glad we finally came by here!

Gio's, you get five stars from me, you're a neighborhood bar and you do what you do well. A small variety of beers, food that's well, neighborhood bar food and sometimes you need neighborhood bar food. You did catch me off guard with soup that was either really good, or just really hot because it was really cold sitting outside. Regardless the staff is attentive and the location is convenient. You have food and you have alcohol, not much more to add.

This place is underrated. Very nice beer selection. Dan Lino agrees. The zombie dust is phenomenal.

Nice little neighborhood beer bar. Good selection of beer and liquors. I was in the hood and…read moreneeded a place to watch the Bulls game. This popped up and it hit the spot. Chill crowd, friendly bartender, clean bathroom. I wouldn't seek this place out, but if I'm in the area I'm happy to stop by. No food that I can. Maybe the biggest downside.

If you are like me, trying to make that light, you will never see this place, but it is there and it is super cute. There is a lot of dark wood that just gives the space a cozy feel. There are also two garage doors that I assume can be opened when the weather is good. For you folks with dogs, beer drinkers who drink beyond the basic beers, bubble drinkers (like me) and those that want to bring in their own food...this is your place. We went there to meet some friends and to watch some football. For such a small place, they do have plenty of TVs with multiple games going. It was great to be able to have pizza delivered, with the bartender providing paper plates, and napkins for us to use. The bartender was also very cool about bringing our drinks over or picking up empties as we were sitting a a table away from the bar. I didn't get his name, but he was cool. There is street parking but not on Peterson itself. I would say, depending on the day, it might be hard to find a spot as you have to park on Ridge or some of the side streets. There is a new Metra station down the street that is about 2 blocks from the bar. Not sure if there is public parking available, but worth checking out. I could see myself coming here just because I can bring my own food and still get bubbles. While they do not carry bubbles by the bottle, the stuff they had in the can was good. I would love to go there when the weather is nicer and they have the garage doors open. And it is a happy compromise to hanging out with friends who have dogs that they just can't live without who also like to drink. This is a place we can definitely hang out with them and have a good time.

So we knew we had to visit the Claddagh Ring Pub one of these days. This neighborhood pub on Foster Avenue received some interesting "pub" earlier this season when they promised to pay for all patrons' tabs if the Bears lost to the Broncos, and sure enough the Bears blew a big lead and Claddagh Ring Pub wound up on the news because of the promo. We finally made it here one random Sunday afternoon as we stumbled in after another Bears loss. The bar was pretty packed, but the owner was super friendly to us. He noted that there was a back room with some elbow room, along with some free tavern style pizza that was not gobbled up yet by the fans. Later when I went up to the bar to order drinks, he made sure that I had the chance to place a drink order with minimal waiting. What a swell guy! Loved my pint of Guinness! Perhaps we looked like newbies, but he really seemed to care about us with his customer service. Check out their website for sports specials and happy hour deals. After our enjoyable visit, my love and I look forward to a return visit to Claddagh Ring Pub.
