I purchased a 2024 BMW iX xDrive50 and decided I wanted to protect the finish. I did some research and settled on Gloss It. What a great choice that has turned out to be. I am doing this in three stages and recently completed Stage 1. My three stages are: Stage 1 is applying paint protection film (PPF). They did a fantastic job with this. They thoroughly washed the car before they started, noted nicks and chips and touched those up for me. Then they applied the film over the front, the mirrors, the door edges and the back below the hatch. They sent me photos throughout the installation process and kept me informed. I picked the car up on Friday and they made an appointment for me to come back in two weeks to check on the film. That's caring about doing the job correctly. Stage2 will be about applying a ceramic coating Stage 3 wil be to tint the windows to stop the effects of UV rays and infrared. Everyone at the shop was professional and easy to deal with. I've trusted Rich and the team at Gloss It with multiple vehicles over the years, and once again they proved why they are the absolute best in Las Vegas when it comes to paint correction and ceramic coatings. Unfortunately my Cadillac was recently run through a dealership car wash (something that should never happen to a properly maintained car). They also do a two week checkup on the PPF we got done, and that will be checked up on 12JUN (today) at the time of writing to make sure no edges have lifted and everything is as should be. Everything came with a warranty that seemed fair such as full replacement of PPF and color correction should anything less than an eraserhead pierce the PPF. Warning: DO NOT TRUST GLOSS IT in Las Vegas! I had an awful experience with them and am incredibly dissatisfied with their business practices. They completely ruined the PPF job on my brand new 2025 C8 and even damaged the gasket on my side mirror and then blaming it on my tint guy. Despite paying in full, they refused to return my car unless I signed a release claiming I was satisfied with their subpar work. I was NOT satisfied so I did not want to sign their release. I had to call the police just to get my vehicle back. They falsely claimed to manufacture their own PPF and led me to believe they were using their own 11mm film with the precut method. However, it was clear they hand-cut the film and did a sloppy job. Only after the police arrived did the owner, Rich Light, admit that he used Suntech film instead. To make matters worse, Rich Light, the owner, threatened to sue me if I left any reviews, whether positive or negative. This is not only unethical but also illegal. He uses intimidation tactics to silence customers and clearly believes he can get away with anything. As for the quality of their work, I'll let the photos speak for themselves. I urge everyone to research before considering Gloss It. Believe the negative reviews,you'll find that the only reason they don't have more is because they force customers to sign releases before returning their own property. I purchased full front PPF and I've had it for about a week now. After many research hours to get an idea of what price to expect, pricing was right around what was found. So I'd say pricing is pretty reasonable for what you're getting. So far, it looks great and I haven't seen any new rock chips. Here in Vegas, the PPF will definitely be put to the test. During our initial texts, they asked about our vehicle, and even asked about any imperfections that I could easily identify on the car's paint surface (e.g., scratches). Couldn't remember seeing any, so they created an in-person consultation to provide a more accurate quote on the service I was requesting. They even texted me a link to one of their YouTube videos, which showed Rich doing a demonstration. Nice edu-tainment. Hubby goes to the appointment while I'm at work, then video calls me with Rich. For about 15 minutes, he talks to us both about our exterior detail options. Throughout this consultation, Rich is informing us about the quality of the chemicals he developed, their detail processes, pros and cons for both ceramic coating and PPF. He's also honest about price points for the service and product quality. Main point here: Anyone looking to get any of these services done needs to have an in-person consultation for an accurate quote. We paid $1,750 for our ceramic coating service, and it came with additional perks. Not only did they ceramic coat the paint, but also included coating exterior plastics and glass. SCORE! On top of that, Rich and his team texted me status update photos (washing, polishing and coating phases). They even provided the hubby a courtesy rideshare for squeezing in our vehicle last minute, and sent him home with a goodie bag for me. Hahaha... It's been exactly 3 months since I got ceramic coating on my vehicle. I wanted to wait to write the review to see how the ceramic coating affected my car. Comparing to my previous cars that has not had any ceramic coating applied, my car definitely gets less dirty. Due to the conditions of Las Vegas weather, dust always appears on the car, but aside from the dust, no watermarks, no dirt, nothing. And even if dirt or maybe bird dropping happens to be on the car, it cleans super easily. When I first inquired about the ceramic coating, Rich gave me an entire lesson about his ceramic coatings and how it works. His explanation shows that he knows his stuff and that he is confident about his products. He gave me a great deal as well. So after all the research I've went through, I chose Gloss-It from the great reviews, the fact that I'm at their World HQ and the owner Rich (you'll see him on all the videos) helped me understand what makes their product the best over the others and they make it themselves so the know their own product well. Rich helped me go over all the offerings from affordable to lux - after his probing of how I take care of this new car (with only ~250 miles on it) along with other detail he didn't refer me to the higher priced package but led me to just below the midrange, 3 year as it would last longer than expected with it being garaged most of the time. In addition he gave me a deal on PPF for my bumper and hood - 10-year warranty. They gave me a ride home & back via Lyft, kept me updated during the process with pics via text, and they were actually able to finish the same day. I picked it up the next morning- saw a great gloss on the whole car and wheels, emblem replaced over the film too - then we went over the film install. As we looked we did find a few bubbles that they corrected, but like any film (i.e. window tint) it can take a week or too to cure - it also had a specific ceramic applied. And to come back for a file check up in two weeks. They also gave me some product with a close and went over how to maintain the glossiness with a once a month wipe down. Went back for my 2 week PPF check up and found that most of the bubbles cured properly and there was a few straggles and the wrap around the seem needed tending too and they'll take care of it - gave the car a wash too. Trust this business - they stand by their product and correct any warranty issues making them very trustworthy. It may be pricier than that other name, including that brand with an "X" with that high marketing exposure, but this is the HQ, the owner is on-site, and they are available to go over any issues during the warranty process (which they have many levels of). read more
