My friend and I got the gnocchi allá vodka with burrata and was tasty but nothing extraordinary. It was a good price, about $13 which is way cheaper than any pasta place I've been to. It also took them less than a minute to get the order ready. It's a pretty tight knit place as there's no seating area but thankfully the packaging makes it super easy to eat while walking. The staff members were nice. Not sure if I'd go back, but it's worth trying at least once. read more

Went because I saw this on social media. First of all for 10$ it's really good. The gnocchi isn't fresh but it's high quality brand gnocchi and the sauce hit the spot. It's definitely bigger than you think As it really fills you up. Great fast cheap nyc dinner. Seating outside is what it is for the size of the store. Not their fault. I'll return. read more

Cute idea on the take out container. Since there's no place to sit, barely enough space to order and waiting for your food. But the container makes it easy to eat and walk. This restaurant is a lesson on "looks can be deceiving": The portions look small, but with the richness of the gnocchi, they are actually quite mighty, and the price is quite reasonable. wow i really really wanted to go here ever since i saw it at union square holiday market and a bunch of holiday markets that i stumbled upon since then. but that was my first exposure to it. wow i can't believe we actually did all that. anyways after los tacos we took the subway to east village cuz my friend didn't get to explore it that much besides that one dinner excursion. but we got gnocchi and there was like no line but it was highkey mid. we got the burrata but it was like whatever. it was genuinely just regular gnocchi. i don't see the hype about it and i don't think i would get it again. maybe if they have other flavors but i'm happy i got to try it once to get it checked off my to-eat list but other than that, it was decent gnocchi. i feel like i could make more fire gnocchi but unfortunately my studies hinder my ability to progress in my cooking skills :(. 4 stars! read more

Listen this isn't the best gnocchi I've ever had but it's gnocchi in a little Chinese takeout box and it's fun! Menu is super simple : gnocchi + sauce + burrata. We ordered black truffle cacio e pepe (creamy and salty but couldn't taste the truffle at all) and al pesto con burrata (burrata was melty and cheesy goodness but the pesto sauce was heavy on the basil flavor, a tad sour). I was really disappointed to say that this was the most unsatisfying gnocchi dish I have ever had. I ordered the gnocchi à la Vodka with Buratta and it comes in a little takeout box I was so excited to have it. I opened it and it was like watery on top and I guess because the Buratta is cold, it just made my entire dish cold. The vodka sauce was not good. Overall the dish just was terrible. read more

This prepackaged gnocchi was awful. I was dying to visit this place after seeing it all over TikTok, but we were so disappointed. We got the gnocchi with burrata and after a few bites tossed the entire thing. I was so disappointed to see all of the packaged gnocchi when we walked in. The sauce was lacking flavor and gnocchi was way over cooked. The burrata was the best part, but this is by no means worth the hype! Everyone standing outside was very underwhelmed and even a couple that was walking in looked at ours, asked for our opinion and just kept on walking. read more

This place is also popular on social media so I decided to give it a try. It's good for what it is. Definitely a takeout spot. Service was okay and quick, given that the food is already prepared. The vodka sauce is tasty and the pasta is cooked nicely. Their gnocchi does not seem to be homemade (according to recorded video* on Instagram, they use boxed De Cecco pasta) but nevertheless this is an okay place if you're in the area and hungry, but also on a budget. read more

Exactly what you need if you're craving gnocchi or a just a quick meal in east village! Both the alla vodka and al pomodoro were great (alla vodka has a bit more sauce, al pomodoro seems to be the original flavor), and would recommend adding burrata to complete the meal. I find sometimes gnocchi gets to be too filling to fast but this one actually doesn't feel that heavy. Only $10 (+$3 for burrata) so super worth it! read more

Small shop with no indoor seating and fast service. About $10 per take out box of gnocchi with an option of burrata for additional $3. I recommend the alla vodka sauce with gnocchi as it is very creamy. I do not recommend the pesto gnocchi as it is very oily (for my taste) and not a creamy gnocchi. The gnocchi itself is not the best but definitely good enough for a good, quick, filling meal. read more

Firstly, it's not fresh gnocchi. I saw the packaging, don't try to fool me. I had to try here because I love gnocchi and saw them on TikTok. We got the marinara and the spicy vodka and ate it while we walked to Astor Place to eat it and meet our friends. Is it worth it for $9 for a chinese take out size gnocchi? Yes. Is it worth it in general? I don't know since it's prepackaged. :( read more

Just ordered the gnocchi Al pomodoro with the burrata ball (extra $3) with a dash of Parmesan and red pepper. The burrata is served cold and is a nice contrast to the hot gnocchi but overall, this dish is just average. I could do the same with gnocchi from Trader Joe's and a jar of good tomato sauce. read more

The pasta tasted like cardboard and was very clearly not homemade. It was also $15 so I would hope for it to be at least homemade or taste good. The burrata was more like a mozerlla ball with no filing. I was very disappointed about that after being badgered to order a burrata ball on my pasta. The pesto was lacking flavor and was very salty. You get what you pay for. Thought I'd try it after seeing it on multiple social media posts. It's $10 gnocchi so I wasn't expecting it to be the best in the world but it did its job. 3 stars for the idea of hyping it up on social media and getting people to visit. 1 extra star for the burrata. The burrata made the gnocchi so much better so definitely get it with that but it's additional money. The service is quick and the place is super cute like a hole in the wall. read more

Even with a short line, I didn't have an incredible experience here. The staff were rude and dismissive, the gnocchi was obviously from a bag/box, and it wasn't better than I could make at home. There's a million better pasta places around, spend the few extra bucks and get something good!! That being said, if you're looking for something super quick (order to receiving in under a minute) and love gnocchi, this place may be for you. Unfortunately, this place is not for me. read more

Note that this is not a place for lactose intolerant kinds. I thought the concept was fresh pasta (which it is) but their ultimate menu items must include that cheese wheel. So fine. I figured they can at least give a non-cheese dish but rules are the rules. The place was packed on a weekend early evening. Lines were not forming (like it showed in the viral videos) but they were cooking up quite a bit at the front, because of carry out orders. Either way, on all angles - literally pretty much everything is ALL good and very positive. However, the one thing that needs to be addressed is that wheel made of cheese. Whoever created that chunk of a wheel, kudos to them/company. By golly - that gargantuan of a wheel was so filled with calories - I kid you not, it almost converted me to being lactose intolerant! So if you're about to have triple bypass the next day, I do not recommend this joint until you're fully healed. Yes, the flavors were good, but the cheesey elements were just too too rich. You also cannot tell them to lessen it, it's just set the way they cook the pasta within that barrel. Otherwise, the decor/ambience was nice, and tidy aspects really show through. The place wasn't super crowded, but there were eventually some people there. The place felt comfortable, and the service was friendly. To drink, I got the Blood Orange Negroni for $17 with Hendricks gin, Campari, sweet vermouth, fresh blood orange juice, and a slice of orange as garnish. I usually prefer Negronis that lack Campari as I find that liquor to be a bit too sweet, at least as far as amaro goes, but this was tasty and better balanced as the juice and gin helped to reduce the sweetness. I would recommend it. They gave us some fresh bread with some good olive oil to begin with, which was tasty. Our only appetizer was the $18 Fried Trio, listed as a tempting mix of crispy fried goat cheese w/ honey & chili oil, carbonara arancini, and capers croquettes. This also came with some tomato sauce for dipping, presumably primarily for the arancini. My preference of the bunch was the fried goat cheese due to the bit of funk and spice. I also liked the arancini as the texture was nice, while my least favorite were the croquettes. This was a nice mix, though perhaps a bit salty. For main dishes, we got two pastas, which were both $19, and two entrees. My favorite of the entrees easily was the Mushroom & White Truffle Lasagna with shiitake, porcini, and cremini blend of mushrooms, béchamel sauce, truffle ricotta, and fresh mozzarella on top. Many lesser spots would mix all these things and make the dish a bit too earthy or almost perfumy from the truffle and mushroom flavor, but not this one. There was just enough of the béchamel and cheese that it was pretty balanced. The pasta texture was nice also. This was rich but delicious, and easily worth the price. I generally prefer guanciale in dishes like pasta alla gricia rather than in already spicier tomato sauces, as I tend to find that the flavor doesn't shine through as much. Otherwise, the pasta was cooked perfectly, and there was plenty of meat inside. We liked both of the mains also. A slight preference goes to the Flounder a la Francese for $26, with lightly battered flounder pan-fried to golden perfection and finished with a delicate white wine and lemon butter sauce. It was a large piece of fish, and it was indeed tender with a light batter. There were plenty of capers, but it wasn't too salty, and the bit of pasta on the side was perfectly cooked as well. You come here to put down the screen and enjoy the moment. So often do we rush through our coffees, or even bring them to meetings, at the beck and call of the city's hustle. But at Posto the kind, talented, customer-first team asks you to slow down and escape all of that, to savor every sip of coffee in the classic Italian style. Walking in feels more like a poem than a cafe. Gone are the transactional, disingenuous "how are you's" and instead you get to discover all sorts of fun barista (and bar) creations, Tuscan products, and fresh pasta.
