    Salmon avocado rolls

We ordered salmon avocado rolls, tuna avocado rolls, and beef hibachi bento box. The sushi rolls had the right amount of rice and salmon/tuna. The beef hibachi needed more flavor. Overall the sushi was great!

Nice little restaurant off 22. Was greeted and seated right away. Rolls were priced well. Ordered a delicious ginger salad. The tempura appetizer (kinda small for what it is. 2 tempura shrimp and just tempura sweet potatoes.) still delicious was just expecting more. And then a scotch plains roll. Everything was fresh and reasonably priced for sushi. The staff as very nice and attentive. There was plenty of parking though the whole parking area can be repaved it was extremely bumpy. If you're in the area and want some good sushi then stop on by!

Takeout was ready for pick up in 10 mins on a Friday night! Regular rolls of sushi are about $5-7 each. Online prices may not be updated. Sushi was really fresh, and the sushi rice tasted really good. May be my new go to spot for takeout.

This has been my go-to takeout sushi spot for many years. I especially love their lunch special (2 rolls and a salad for $11), which is always prepared fresh and ready when I arrive. The sushi is always tasty and never disappoints. Everything I have had is delicious, but I particularly love their yellowtail rolls.

I tried a few different roles including the shrimp tempura. I've never had a bad shrimp tempura roll until today. It was soggy instead of crunchy. I loved their online system - order and pay when we pick up. Staff was friendly but the rolls were not for me.

Go Sushi is one of my favorite restaurants to go to. Quick service and very decent food with reasonable prices. Love the hand rolls there!

Chicken maki lunch special bento box. Comes with soup and salad. Also comes with 3 shumai not 2 (ate 1 lol).

I have been coming to this restaurant for over 10 yrs. I always enjoyed their bento boxes, always fresh and delicious. I can't speak for their sushi because I'm not a big sushi eater but I do enjoy their California roll that comes with the bento box. I always sub for fried rice which is an extra $1 which is cheap IMO and I love how it has that smoky flavor, so yummy! I was afraid they might be out of business due to Covid but I'm so relieved that they survived! Their dining area wasn't open for awhile even post Covid, but I always got take out and food is still fresh and delicious! I've tried their chicken teriyaki, which is I believe chicken breast, it's perfectly cooked and not dry. Their salmon teriyaki is also good and of course their chicken maki, which is my fave :-) Their prices are pretty good too. I highly recommend Go Sushi from my own experience.

Well, they are back for dining in! If you want a local area to get fresh sushi for a reasonable price point, here is your go to! Tuesdays they are closed however during the week wait time for a pick up order should be no more than 30 minutes at most! Fridays and Saturdays wait time: Pick Up: 30-35 minutes Delivery: 1hr-1hr 15 mins The earlier in time that you order, around 5-5:30 you can get your order in about 20 minutes, when people start rolling in to dine in and there are door dashes, and called in orders, you're looking at a more of a wait time! Best orders to get: 3 ROLL SPECIAL WITH MISO SOUP OR SALAD DINNER BENTO BOX WITH TEMPURA, WHITE RICE, SHUMAI, SOUP AND SALAD DESIGNERS ROLLS: RAINBOW ROLL, VALENTINE ROLL , KAMIKAZE ROLL (has ton of fish eggs), PARADISE ROLL (lobster & ) HOUSE SUSHI DELUXE MISO SOUP OR SALAD HOUSE SASHIMI DELUXE MISO SOUP OR SALAD -------- Best sushi to get in Scotch Plains/ Route 22 !

    Shrimp Shumai

I normally frequent this place. They had indoor dinning closed for all of 2020 and 2021 so I was excited when they opened back up this year. Today when I went in I was given dirty glasses for my water and my ginger ale. I ended up just drinking the ginger ale out of the can and telling the girl who worked there to take the glasses away. My shrimp shumai were cold had some weird black thing in the bottom of it so didn't end up finishing that either. My roll was also not that great which it usually is. The two kids they have working there (both are kids. I'd say high school at best) spent more time looking at something on their laptop than actually helping out. The service has definitely fallen since 2020. They don't even give you the warm towels for your hands or the fruit for dessert anymore. Not sure if I'll be returning.

So I lost my appetite and wasted my money. This is actually a big ass fish bone in my sushi. I don't even have the appetite to eat the rest.

While it's not quite on the level of New York City's omakase spots, it's solid for New Jersey and worth a visit if you're in the area. Standout bites for me were the Otoro and Chu Toro- both beautifully fatty and flavorful - as well as the Hamachi with shishito and the scallop topped with crispy garlic. Other highlights included the Madai (seabream), barracuda, striped jack, and a satisfying bone marrow served with toast. I also tried Kumamoto oysters for the first time in years, and they were a lovely surprise-cleaned properly, topped with a light sauce, and incredibly fresh. The Hokkaido uni was creamy, though slightly more briny and bitter than I personally prefer. Mr. Bin himself mentioned that uni flavor can vary depending on the season. Throughout the meal, Mr. Bin was present and helpful, guiding us toward which fish to try. The fish is delivered fresh twice a week, and the quality really does show. That said, it's still missing that little extra something that sets top-tier omakase apart- the purposeful dot of yuzu sauce, the hidden dab of wasabi under the fish, or a crisp garnish that adds dimension and surprise. Some sushi have this, some don't. The technique is good, the fish is fresh, and the experience was enjoyable- I'd return- but it's a notch below the more elevated experiences you can find in the city. Hence 4 stars. Solid though, and friendly. Nice ambiance inside too, Saturday dinner time it filled up quickly so I recommend a reservation.

The little train cars that bring your food are super fun, and the conveyor belt has food as well and of course the robots that bring you food as well. This is all you can eat so you pay 1 price for everything. I thought Ramen would be more expensive but it's not, it's included! I think only drinks and desserts are extra. This place had a lot of options and way more than sushi so if you are not a sushi person, there's plenty. To be honest, the mozzarella sticks were some of the best I ever had. I also love Kura sushi which is a very similar revolving sushi bar place so I am comparing it to that. This place relies more on the tablet ordering than the conveyor belt while Kura relies on the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt here had some things labeled, most of it was unlabeled which was a little annoying. Everything at Kura is labeled. Kura is pricing per plate while this place is all you can eat - which I do prefer. I think this place has way more selection while Kura has more or less the same items. I still love this place but overall, I do prefer Kura more. Both places definitely have pros and cons though. The service was great as well. Everyone was friendly and knowledgable. Regardless, I will be back and would recommend.

I came with a party of 4 and was only allowed to order every 5 minutes, as the iPad will time out and not allow you to order again. Understand this might be due to food waste or over ordering. The conveyor belt can use signs, and at some point of times it was only fruits or seaweed salad spinning around. Standouts include salmon, squid and scallops. Concept is cute and restaurant is bright and clean, but I think it becomes tough at an all you can eat when you have to keep waiting to eat or order. Especially if you come hungry!

For appetizers, we had the vegetable gyozas and fried wontons. Both were pretty unimpressive and I wouldn't order them again. I ordered the tempura udon for my entrée which came with a bowl of miso soup which was pretty good. One of my friends got the D.E. warrior roll which was quite pricey (~$30) and was chewy since all the meat was cooked. My udon was decent and came with two shrimp tempuras and two broccoli tempura as well. However, I wasn't a fan of the spinach that came inside the soup. Overall, we had a satisfactory time at Akai but we don't think we would return.
