This morning I got an alert of an under inflated left rear tire when I was driving down on 280 South. My office is not far from these guys so I went there to check it out after I read their Yelp reviews. The lady at the front desk was very nice. All the guys who work at the shop were having lunch, so she asked me to wait or come back later. I decided to wait and, even though it was a relatively long wait (about 30 minutes), I did not mind because I got there at noon and respect the fact that they had just sat down to eat. Tomas was the one who helped me out. My car's computer had already alerted me that the problem was in the left rear tire, but he checked all tires anyway, as I expected. He found the nail right away and got it fixed in about 15 minutes. The tire was patched up and it cost $20. The shop was organized and Tomas did a great job marking the tire to make sure it was put back in the same position and also being careful not to scratch my wheel. My tire was flat and the air was leaking pretty bad. I came in at 4pm and I was out by 4:45pm. It turns out that I had 3 nails in my tire. They inflated all of my tires and charged $20. I'm glad that I can still use the tire because they are expensive on my Lexus. read more

Coming here at 6 pm in the evening and out by 6.30 pm was a neat experience. The lady who received my call was also kind letting me know that they are open till 6.30pm. I came in because of an electrical problem. It turns out the battery terminal just needed to be screwed in a little ways (facepalm) They screwed it in for me, checked my oil, and cleaned my engine where I had spilled oil. My front tires were in bad shape and needed to be changed immediately. I called to see if I can get used tires and Victoria was super helpful and courteous. I ended up picking up tires on the Craigslist because they didn't have used run flats which I needed to return a lease. Once I picked the used tires up and dropped in at the shop, they were quick and got to work. The technicians(Eric and one other gentleman) were thorough in checking the used tires and advised me the condition. They charged reasonable amount for the installation and balancing of the used tires and I was very happy with the work done. Everyone was friendly and professional. I came in for new brakes and rotors (I know, I procrastinated). The mechanic only replaced the front brakes and charged me about 300. He did not debrief his work completed. A week later, my brakes started squeaking again. I took my car into a local shop not far from Godinez. Apparently Godinez used cheap, metal pads and just skipped the rotor replacement altogether. Update: took my nearly 30 year old car to the dealership. Front end camber on both sides was way off. Fixed now. Can't recommend this place. Nice and friendly guy runs the shop and definitely wants your business. He was priced competitively for the alignment I went in for. Very shady.....Was just hit by Tomas driving in the shop truck in the costco parking lot and he left refusing to give me insurance information. Called police, but they refused to respond due to being on private property. Office staff refused to acknowledge incident and refused to provide insurance information. They have won our business for as long as we live here. The dealer wanted to charge me $200 just to look at my car and told us it was most likely a problem with my tail light wiring. So I took my car to this shop and they said it was actually just the bulb and fixed it in ten minutes. They fixed a problem with my husband's car tire at the same time. Went in on a Friday to make an appointment for Saturday to have the oil changed which they do advertise. The lady behind the corner says sure no problem just bring it in. I dropped it off and the she says she will call me when they are done. Well I get a call saying that they can not change the oil due to they did not have a filter for it(2010 Volkswagen Jetta) and come and pick the car up. Now bear in mind that I have bought 3 tires from Godinez in the past...the last time I believe I was overcharged. How much would it have been to have someone go to the auto store and get a filter? There was a nail in my tire and I looked up Yelp for tire repair shop close to work. I stopped by Godinez and checked on the tire. The technician remove the tire and found only a very short nail and it did not damaged or probe through. The technician said that the tires only need some air and he checked all four tires for me. After he was done and he said that it was free. I was very surprise by the prompt and courteous service even I never took my car there before. To start, these folks were quite pleasant and appeared knowledgeable regarding tires and the like. I was shopping around for a set of replacement tires for my 3/4 ton Suburban - big tires. I received quotes from 3 vendors. Tomas, from Godinez, told me that when buying a set of 4x tires, that a front-end alignment would be included. The prices from the three vendors were comparable, but with the addition of an alignment, Godinez was the frontrunner. But, when I came to pick up my truck, I was told that the front end was misaligned, however, their alignment effort would be limited to adjusting just the toe-in and not the camber or caster adjustments - those would cost extra. And yes, it was quite out of align. As was the inclusion of alignment in the $1,000 cost of 4x tires. We seem to live in an age where you need to nail down the most minor of details and vendors selling just about anything will say or do whatever they feel they need, in order to 'make the sale'. It's quite sad. I could not, and will not, return to, or recommend, Godinez Tire and Alignment (what bull). read more

Made an appointment for 4pm the other day. I came in right at 4pm and they tell me that they pulled in another car that will take an hour before they can start mine. Why would you take appointments if you can't honor them? Waste of time since I was told I'd be there till close to 6pm once the alignment was done.
