Kong poa and mangolian beef combo dinners.
Brenda P.

We were seated immediately. Server took order right away. Food came out hot and delicious. Dining room was very clean. Would definitely go there again while in town.

Chinese Delight!
Stanley R.

From the moment I walked in I knew this place, the look, the smell , the staff. I have been eating in this exact Chinese restaurant since I was a kid, over 50 years ago. Not "this place" but one exactly like this place is in every American city. You know the food, you know the menu (you always want to go For the combo specials)! That's what we did. I got the Mongolian beef, I comes with all the "works"; Egg roll, Fried rice, Soup, Fried wontons My friend had the chicken chow mien, and the works. We both left with take out containers holding half our meal! It was delicious, I started eating and I forgot to take pictures of the menu or the food! Golden Dragon is my new fav

They had the best service. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile. They came to our table to make sure we had what we needed. We were treated with kindness. The shrimp rice was my favorite. The hot tea was good on a cold night. They had a variety of dishes to try.

Terrible food truck. Ordered via text. Arrived 35 mins later when they said my order would be ready. The food truck guy said he never checked his phone and didn't start on my order until I stood by waiting for 20 minutes. Ended up cancelling and not ordering this unauthentic "Chinese food". Seek other better restaurants!! Don't waste your money.

Shrimp chow mein that tasted like feet

The best part of the meal was the free peppermint after my $50 meal to mask the gross taste in my mouth. I'm not sure what happened to this place but the quality definitely seemed off. We used to frequent this location about 20 years ago and it was so good! Last time we came here was probably about 6 years ago and it was good. Definitely not the experience we had the other night. The shrimp chow mein didn't taste good at all and looked like it was sitting for a while. All the fried appetizers seemed stale. Our chicken was okay. Nothing to brag about - It was edible at least .The waiter neglected to mention the soup just came off the kettle and was piping hot and burnt my tongue. There was only and another party in the restaurant at dinner time. Maybe that was a sign? There is a fly buzzing around our food while we were eating. I hate to say this but we should have gone to Panda Express.

Nice plate of food. Chowmein, Teriyaki Pork and Fish

The food was as good as it looked on IG We went for lunch and there was minimal wait times when they open for lunch at 11am. We made some stops and i consistently checked the wait times online. Within 1/2 hour of when they opened, I noticed the wait times online were starting to get longer. I put my name on the waitlist and it was about 10-20 minutes and got there in perfect time to get seated right away. They are in the side of the mall that has Crate and Barrel and Anthropologie. They have regular seating in the restaurant, outdoor seating and another section outside of the restaurant which is within the mall. We were sat at the outside seating in the mall which has a small bar area as well. We ordered the spicy (wasn't spicy IMO but had a little kick to it) shrimp won tons, CHIFA fried rice with chicken and the Saltado with Filet Mignon (sub rice for garlic noodles for a small fee). Everything was delicious and good portion size. So many other items I would like to try. Can't wait to go back!

We usually go to the FV location but it's convenient that one opened up inside of South Coast,…read moreespecially since there's usually a wait and you can at least walk around the shops at this location while you wait. We ordered the spicy shrimp wontons, garlic noodles, crab congee, and the filet mignon saltado fries (sidenote: you can also upgrade the side of rice from the saltado fries to garlic noodles but my partner wanted rice AND noodles lol.) The spicy shrimp wontons are on the sweeter side so if you're thinking they'll be similar to a certain restaurant in South Coast, it's not quite the same - but still yummy! And I think it paired nicely with the garlic noodles. They don't skimp on the crab in the congee and it's sooo flavorful (contrary to what I feel like people often assume about rice porridge). Our server recommended a side of chili oil to pair with it that added some texture and depth, but I like how strongly the crab comes through without it. If I had to pick one dish though, it'd be the saltado fries (sub garlic noodles). The spice from the aji dipping sauce sneaks up on you a little bit but it complements the tender meat and the fries, tomato and onion balance it all out nicely. We were seated at the bar where they were playing all kinds of bangers (at a low enough volume where we could still talk amongst ourselves), and both our server and the bartender were attentive... would recommend!

When I walked in, there were several employees standing around the takeout area talking to each other, and I had to wait before anyone acknowledged me or took my order. It didn't feel very welcoming. I ordered the chicken katsu plate. The chicken had good flavor, but it was overcooked. The rice was dry, and the macaroni salad and small side salad were nothing special. The mac salad was such a small portion that I barely got a taste of it. While I was waiting, I noticed my order sitting on the counter for a few minutes while the employees continued chatting. I finally had to ask, "Is that my order?" They replied, "Oh yes," and handed it to me. It just felt like customer service wasn't a priority. I think this place has potential because the chicken itself was tasty. I would suggest focusing more on customer service, making sure food doesn't sit before it's served, and improving the quality of the sides and rice. Those small changes could make a big difference. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I don't think I'll be back.

The place itself is on the cozy side, so there was a short wait since seating is pretty limited for how popular it is. But honestly, the wait wasn't bad at all--and the second the food hit the table, any wait was completely forgotten. We were blown away by how delicious every single dish was! Here's what we ordered: * Chicken Satay: Super flavorful and cooked perfectly. * Drunken Noodles: Great kick of heat and rich, savory sauce. * Khao Soi Chicken: Absurdly good--deep, aromatic coconut curry broth with perfect noodle texture. * Fried Rice: Simple, classic, and done just right. * Banana Pudding: The ultimate sweet finish to the night! If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out. Highly recommend Hanuman Thai Eatery--we'll definitely be back!

It was expensive, the wait was long, and the portions were surprisingly small. The Crying Tiger was nearly flavorless and looked more like a one-bite appetizer than a full dish. The mango sticky rice came with extremely sour mango, while the coconut sauce seemed to have forgotten it was supposed to taste like coconut. The Tom Yum pot was so tiny that I almost expected it to come with a magnifying glass. Other Thai restaurants usually serve at least twice as much. The service did not improve the experience. After we had already been seated for about five minutes, the servers asked us to move to another table because the seating had not been managed properly. Overall, Hanuman Thai Eatery was overhyped, overpriced, and not worth the long wait. I would give it negative five stars if Yelp allowed it.

Ordered a few things sitting in the patio on opening at 11:00 a.m. since we didn't have any breakfast coming in from the valley. Macadamia nut crusted lobster roll= C Fish fresh but very weird sauce that I did not like and the macadamia nut on top just doesn't work with this. To each their own but not for me and an easy regret Coconut curry wok'd mussels -B Usually completely run away from anything Curry, and this was kind of ordered by mistake as I did not recall seeing anything curry-wise when I read the description but I must have missed it however it was a pleasant surprise and a very unique dish presented wonderfully. It goes great with a coconut white rice which our server brought. Pork ribs with half =dry rub and half= wet B+ (full rack) The ribs are fall off the bone and both the dry rub and wet with delicious barbecue sauce very tasty, but they came out lukewarm at best so they did not do a good job of reheating or else it would be close to an A. I didn't expect them to prepare a fresh rack of ribs for me at 11:00 a.m. on opening so I knew a reheat was coming but it tasted good. They were just not hot. The purple cabbage slaw is masked as Asian on the menu but its nothing but a heavily doused with vinegar cabbage to the point its mushy. I must say, ribs made a great reheat a couple days later, even after transportation/ long periods in the car. Crispy mahi mahi wok'd with veggies.B- Very creative dish but it was over sweetened to death to the point where it affected the crispiness of the fish pieces. Waay over-sauced, literally swamped in glaze. If it was dryer the fish chunks would be much crispier and it would taste a lot lighter and better. In a nutshell this restaurant is not for the risk adverse and has very unique pairings and sauces and preparation methods which you will either love hate or not be sure as I still am not, but it was good to try once. 3.5 Stars rounding up to four for the good service.
