Some of the best wings I've had, haven't been in years because of where I am located but looking forward to coming back

Every time I come here the food gets worse. We had onion rings wings nachos shrimp and a burger all trash

Don't go here if you're black. I went in to pick up a DoorDash order. I walked up to the bar area and was told to come around. Took another 5 minutes to be acknowledged. I told the "host" I was here for a DoorDash order. She told me it would be a few. I stood there for another 30-35 min just waiting. Nobody checked on my food. Nobody acknowledged me at all. However I watched the host and other staff acknowledge literally everybody else in the bar and everybody else that walked in. It was extremely rude and uncomfortable to say the least. Go at your own risk. I won't be returning; for DoorDash pickups or otherwise. It was a terrible and very uncomfortable feeling. I felt less than human and invisible. I hope the food is worth it. To top it all off, they forgot my delivery's coconut shrimp. Smh read more

Wow I just ordered food at 11:30 and it's now 12:06 and they just canceled my food order I don't understand why but I will say how unprofessional it is to wait almost a half an hour and just cancel with no call or anything and they're still open.. Further I called to ask about it and The fact that the order sat there for 35 minutes before anything happened at all with it wasn't mentioned, And because they were busy the guy answered the phone and placed it on bar for 5 mins with no hello on answer..So If that wasn't enough already to wrap this all up as my girl was talking trying to see if the rest of our order besides what they cancled(only fries) what was cancelled so we knew if the fries were still coming, he slammed the phone down in her ear.!!! Always a great time at this one of a kind lively honky-tonk. Live country bands and line dancing every Friday and Saturday night. Good bar food and open late, like all bars should be. A real So. Jerz experience. I'm not sure how they all start to line dance at the same time. The quesadilla is one of the best quesadillas I've ever had in my life. And that is saying something. Tried to place an order for 100 wings for super bowl Sunday. They told me to call on super bowl Sunday to order. I said if I wait that long how do I know they will have enough for my order. They told me to try to wake up early to place the order. I've been a very good customer over the years, but no more. This place is what it is as far as ambiance and service- don't let the other reviews scare ya. It's an old dive bar with really poppin' chicken wings. I only have ever ordered takeout and I don't care what anyone says you can't get good wings like this at many places. I've never had bad service because my only encounter has been over the phone and to pay. Not a place I'd come to dine in anyway. Huge fan of the crispiness of their wings and their sauce isn't too hot, bit of sweetness to it which I personally like. I also think the sizing of their regular wings are perfect. read more

Outstanding wings!! Pizza was very good and the chili and French onion soup was outstanding. Went there on a Friday night, prior to band, and was packed at the bar but got a table immediately. Very friendly staff!! Definitely will continue to go there in the future. Prior to this visit, I was there once during the summer, in the afternoon. We come to the nugget for wings about once a month. Tonight was the last time. The service was ok to start. After a little while a table with young children sat behind us...I don't know about anyone else but I don't come to the bar to hang out with children. I let the wait staff know we were moving tables and after that the experience got even worse because the wait staff ignored us entirely. We left after that. We won't return. read more

I just had my first experience dining in here and I won't even order take out anymore I'm so disgusted with the service. We came in as a large group and the waitress told us to sit anywhere. 15 minutes later we were still at the table without a waitress coming over, who also continued to greet and serve the other tables around us as they arrived after us. when she finally came over, we ordered pitchers of drinks and when she brought them back she had an attitude and told us 'maybe we can move the cup' referring to the one small child's sippy cup on the otherwise empty table. I took my family to this redneck bar because I heard their wings were really good. Well, they ignored us at first. Then when the old lady came to wait on us, she was rude. Our order of wings took so long that we decided that we didn't want them. As we were leaving they miraculously appeared with an excuse. Everyone was staring at us like we were aliens or something. The wings miraculously appeared as we were leaving. They were really good but the sauce was wack to me. I guess I'm used to King of Pizza sauce. I went to King of Pizza and bought a cup of their sauce for $3.50. I went back again for Super Bowl Sunday to get some wings. I was shocked when I saw bins and bins of precooked wings stacked up on the floor. They were covered but @ room temp? Ughhhhhhh. Haven't been back. Best wings around. Small, crispy, just like I like them, with their years-old, in-house sauce recipe. Never too spicy. Wednesdays and Thursdays all you can eat wing specials. Eclectic mix of people, good cocktails. I've come here with my mother and children, work friends, and on the bikes. All are welcome. Typically come at least once a month when in the mood for wings. The night before Thanksgiving. The biggest drinking night of the year, right? Well this year, I spent it at the Golden Nugget, and let me tell you, it was an experience. I think it was the first time in my life that I felt like a "city slicker". Three things stood out to me as we walked into the bar: country music karaoke, framed pictures of Nascar drivers, and lots of line dancing. For a couple hours, I felt like I wasn't on the East Coast anymore. Cheep beer - $3 Magic Hat # 9 and Blue Moon drafts - though this is the kind of clientele that sticks to Budweiser, Miller, and Pabst. Now I'm sure you're wondering - what's a bleeding liberal like me doing in the middle of what I'm sure was McCain country during the election? Lemme tell ya - it's all about the wings here. On Wednesdays, for eight bucks, it's all you can eat wing night. Though I did not fall prey to that special, I did try a 10-piecer, and these babies were pure gold. The wing sauce - which seems to have some kind of Italian dressing base - is spicy and sweet, and the wings are lightly fried. Amazing. If anything, the music, crowd, and atmosphere was enough to keep me entertained. South Jersey, you are a strange, strange place. read more

Dive bar. Country but the music out back on the deck was a very eclectic mix which was interesting. Fire pit area is relaxing but the gas fired pit does not through any heat at all and obviously doesn't hiss and crackle. read more

$1 for all you can eat pizza on Mondays was the reason for me attending the Golden Nugget. The pizza isn't great, but what do you expect for practically free. It isn't so bad if you add red pepper flakes and their wing sauce to the pizza. An amazing deal for dinner on Monday. They also serve all you can eat dungenous crab on Monday nights. The other reason that I went to the Golden Nugget was for Monday Night Football. It is really annoying that they have a DJ during the game. No one was dancing, no one was even near the dance floor. Every bar patron was crowded on the opposite side of the bar from the DJ, almost as if they were trying to escape him. The music was country, pop country, and metal-rap fusion (a la Limp Bizkit). None of which is what I tend to go for. The DJ was taking suggestions, but my only suggestion was to stop playing music so I could hear the game. I might be back to eat more pizza, and I hear their wings are pretty good, but that's about it. read more

The owner is the rudest arogant piece of crap on earth. The last time I set foot in that dump I was working on a job around the corner and we decided to stop in there for lunch. We had been there the day before and everything was fine but the second day was the day I told myself I will never return. Five of us came in on a hot day and ordered sandwiches from their $1.00 menu. We all had about 5 fountain sodas each and when we got the bill he charged us $2.25 for every pint we drank. When we complained about the bill the old hag of a bartender went back to the kitchen and told the owner we were complaining about our $28.00 soda bill. The owner"Porky",then pulled out a money wad from his pocket and patronized us about the expense. What a piece of sh_t! Hope karma takes a giant bite out of your ass someday Porky. Nice casual restaurant on the edge of Berlin. Country-ish atmosphere. Very local and friendly service though can be slow. Prices are decent and food is good. We go for the wings. Delicious! The bartenders are nice, attentive, and honest. I asked if there were any beer specials (on a Monday night), and he said, "well, our beer is already really cheap so there is no need for it." Touché. If you look closely, you will see that the wings are $5.50 for ten, all the time. Insane. In Philly you often end up paying up to $12 for eight "gourmet" wings, that are okay, but let's face it - when I want wings, I want cheap, crispy and tasty. That's it. Nowhere in Philly proper meets my standards. PLEASE correct me if you think I am wrong. Anyway, this place is known for wings, and music, so let's talk wings, at least (live music only on the weekends). An order of twenty sets you back $10.50. Wednesday and Thursday nights, it's all you can stomach for $7. I will be back for that, you can count on it. The wings came out quick, hot, and incredibly crispy. The flavor was well developed and I tasted both garlic and I believe chicken bouillon in the sauce. Seriously. There was a nice layer of heat, and the crispiness was just perfect. Ive never had wings anywhere else that even come close to how good they are here. Boneless or original. The other must have is their cheesesteak eggrolls. My fiance used to work in the kitchen here and would bring me home amazing food after every night that he worked. We even ran the food truck for the Golden Nugget Tavern once at the Berlin Market. The Nugget is one of those places you feel proud for finding (since it is in the middle of nowhere) and then feel the need to make sure that every friend and family member of yours also has the glorious moment of discovering these wings. They are different than your usual buffalo wings... it has a bit of... citrus? to it. They are small so make sure you order a lot of them, you won't want to stop. Two girl friends and I can devour a party tray (60 wings) in less than 15 minutes. It's business. As far as the atmosphere... well, you'll either love its rough, southern redneck vibe or you will hate it and question its cleanliness. But these are things you've got to ignore and just enjoy the food. The people are friendly enough and, personally, I get a good laugh out of it every time I go. Wednesdays and Thursdays are all you can eat wings for something around $7-$9 and is well worth it. Sides such as onion petals and fries are okay and decently priced. Live bands play on the weekends and there is a dance floor if you want to make the night particularly interesting. They did start a new rule within the last year or so: If you are under 21, you must be with parents. This sucks, I know; I've been going there since I was 16 and then all of the sudden they put this rule into affect. They seem to be sticking to it, too, so if you have a youngin' with you, make your order for take-out instead. read more

I ordered a cheese steak with fried onions mayo salt and pepper. I received a plain cheese steak with nothing but cheese and steak and it literally only filled half the roll it was on. I was left hungry after eating which never happens with a cheese steak (usually I have enough left over to eat for leftovers) but this was so skimpily and poorly made, I won't order from here again.
