I'm writing this review kinda late but anyways..I brought my car into the service center for a simple oil change. Mind you I don't have a ford but a gmc truck and pretty much was treated like crap. 3 people were working behind there computers while I waited in line(only one in line) for 10 mins. Finally I walked up and wasn't greeted by dean but was told to wait in line. Really dude I'm the only one in line. Told him I'll wait here by your computer. His eyes rolled and asked what I needed. This guy has no manners or customer service skills..and it's pretty scary that he's the service manager. I won't be coming back here and urge many of you to do the same. By the way they charged my mom $90 for an oil change. My guess is because she doesn't speak very good English. read more

Push it, pull it, tow it to golf mill ford sums it up. Went there after numerous emails to look at a used vehicle, get there, BAM, it's no longer there, 2 salesmen told us two different stories. Ok, so now test drive another, with a route they tell you to go, where you can't really pick up speed to test it, anyway, almost into the driveway of the dealer and the vehicle starts shaking. So, obviously had something wrong with it, and obviously that's why they have that route, before the car/truck gets warm and acts up. So if you don't feel like PUSHING IT, PULLING IT OR TOWING your newly purchased vehicle from there, DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! BUYER BEWARE, very shady tactics.. Very unbusiness like! read more

The dealer I bought my 2003 Thunderbird from went out of business. I needed engine work that my local mechanic, Cranic Auto Repair, could not perform. They recommended this dealership. Although I had to wait a week to get my car in for the repair, the Assist Service Mgr, Dan Welch, was most professional and courteous. When they found they needed a part they did not have in stock, they gave me a new "loaner" for the three days it took to get the part and repair the engine. No one likes an expensive repair, but everyone in the Service Dept at Golf Mill Ford was courteous, helpful, and professional. My car runs better than I can remember in the 12 years I have owned it. I drove it to Los Angeles without a problem getting the best mileage ever! read more

We had been searching for a while (4-5 months) for our next family vehicle. During this process we had the misfortune of seeking our new family vehicle through other dealerships who put a new meaning to "car salesman"; this is not a favorable connotation. It was more about their bottom line than ours. FINALLY, we made the decision to check out Golf Mill Ford. It was a bit of a hike to get there being from the South Suburbs, but worth every mile. Wes helped us look at a car we saw online and through the process, we ultimately ended up purchasing another car on the lot that same evening. Wes was incredibly genuine, easy to connect with and LISTENED TO US. The staff there is so professional and motivated to sell the cars. They make the process SO easy and work with you to get the keys to the right car in your hand. They were able to do that for us and we are so happy! Star Nissan on Touhy for instance, I went there to get my check engine light looked at, the service lady comes back to me with 7 sheets of service needed totaling $8000!!! My Nissan was a 2008. Needless to say, I went to get issues fixed for $800 elsewhere and my Nissan drove smoothly. Then there's Grossinger Autoplex in Lincolnwood, McCormick Blvd. The worst and rudest experience from the, "I am the Senior sales" guy. He was so proud and full of himself. But his actions and tone were ghetto(ish) and thug like. I urge all who read this to check out Grossinger's reviews. Unbelievable in the most negative way. I did not do any research on this Dealer prior to going there to shop for a used car. I wanted a Ford Mustang, and they were the closest dealer. I do not know if a new car purchase experience would be different from a used car purchase, so bear that in mind. I probably would never have gone there in the first place if I had done a better job of researching reviews on this dealership. I just thank God they pissed me off enough that I did not fall for their tricks and get screwed on a used car purchase. This is a high pressure operation to sell used cars, and they will use every trick in the book to try to get you to buy something while you are there. They are not above brow beating and lying if they think you will fall for it. They also do not want you to leave and come back just in case you are of a mind to do some comparative shopping. They will not negotiate pricing at all, but will instead sing about the virtues of certified pre-owned vehicles, and how they will throw in a lot of free oil changes. They also like to play games with the financing. Very slick operation designed to seperate you from your money and maximize their profit margin on the used car. They were so overbearing and frankly deceitful, that I finally walked out. I am glad I did, as I went to Arlington Heights Ford and found comparable models at a minimum of $500.00 to $2000.00 less. This is with the same option packages and roughly the same mileage on the used vehicles. I bought a 2010 Ford Mustang while I was at Arlington Heights Ford, almost the exact duplicate of the car I was looking at at Golf Mill Ford, even to the mileage, and saved myself $2000.00. The internet price on the car I bought was about $1,200.00 less than the Golf Mill Ford car, and the dealer took another $800.00 off of that. I am very pleased. read more

I went to this dealer one evening last week for a test drive after seeing a price reduction on their website of about $4000 on a new vehicle that I had been looking for. The salesperson I met with, Omar, was friendly and courteous at the start and I explained up front what I was looking for and was able to afford. I told him that if a deal could not be reached, I completely understood. After the test drive, we sat down to provide information and discuss numbers, at which point, the salesperson asked for my driver's license. The first problem arose when the salesperson came back from "talking to his manager" and the price of the vehicle did not include the $4K discount shown on the website. He seemed surprised by this and I showed him the screenshot I had on my phone, where the discount was listed as GMF Savings. He proceeded to try and tell me that was the combination of the current $2K cash back incentive from Ford plus the financing offer. Nowhere on their site was it listed as such, so I explained to him that this was misleading, especially considering that the person with whom I first spoke, Jimmy, asked if I was calling because of their big sale. Never mind that the cash back and financing is an either or, not combined. The second problem was that they were trying to offer me almost $6000 less that my trade is worth. I had checked the KBB expected trade value prior to going in as well as investigated what similar cars are selling for. I told the salesperson that I knew what my trade is worth and he left to go talk to his manager again. When he and the manager, Ziggy, came back I made my case again to both about the $4K discount and the value of my trade. The manager was dismissive and wouldn't budge on any numbers so I said that was fine and I left. The next day I received a call from Jimmy asking if I had come in and what had happened. I explained the situation regarding the discount and my trade at which point he tried to argue their side with me. I told him that I understood that a deal couldn't be reached so that was okay at which point we hung up. Four days later, I realized that I left the dealer without getting my driver's license back so I called Omar to ask if they still had it. When he picked up and I identified myself I received a snotty, "So, what can I do for you?" He told me that my license would be at the desk and I told him I would be right over. When I got there, my license was at the manger's desk, just as Omar had said - with a stack of others about 1" thick, which leads me to believe that this is something they pull on a regular basis just to get people back in. As I was walking out, Omar was approaching me so I stopped to tell him that they had my license for four days, had my contact information, called me the day after and didn't have the common courtesy to let me know that I they still had my license? I told him that not only had they just blown any possibility that I would ever come back there, but that I would also tell everyone I knew not to go there. As I was walking away, he called after me and said, "You weren't going to buy anyway." Typical car salesman. read more

if i could give zero stars i would! not happy how a deal went with a 2017 mustang. we were told there is no return policy in the state of illinois, untrue, it took them over a week to put a check through, i was supposed to co sign for a car, but couldn't give them my license, we went back a week later, they took all my information never had me sign anything, my boyfriend just got off the phone and was told "your an adult you know what you were getting into" that is NOT how you treat your customers, THEY LET US DRIVE OFF THE LOT WITHOUT GETTING APPROVED!!! DO NOT GO HERE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE BETTER! and when he called and told them his name they chuckled on the phone. very unprofessional, they told us we can't get our truck back, but can get a different car. never told us new or used. and wouldn't return any calls! read more

Great service! I went in to get my car fixed and Rich told me it would take approximately two hours long. In the mean time, I went to Panera Bread across the street. Golf Mill Ford has a texting service, so you can keep in touch with them through messaging (in case you can't talk on the phone or would rather text). When I was eating, Rich updated me via text. About an hour later, he gave me a call to let me know my car was ready. It took less time than he thought and I was happy he kept in contact with me. Other places just have you waiting without ever telling you how far along they are. Rich was great! Thank you for your service and I totally loved the works. read more

Let me first say this review is strictly about the Sales dept. I have never had trouble with the service dept and give them 5+ stars. The sales dept I give -0 stars. I wanted the alarm/remote start installed and they really worked me over about getting wax, paint protection even though I didn't want nor could afford that extra amount. They worked on me until I agreed and wanted to put it into the loan but I told them no I wanted to put it on charge card. They did and 1/2 day later I decided I didn't want the paint protection and attempted to call them about it. They basically blew me off and told me I needed to come in. I went in after work and of course my sales guy was gone(even though I told him I was coming at that time to see him) and I needed to talk to him ONLY. No the service manager couldn't help me. I went again the next day and same thing. I then had to take my cousin in there with me because he is used to dealing with these types of scammers. It got a bit ugly and then they agreed to refund my credit card and cancel the protection even though "they already purchased the chemicals for it". Seriously? They are the same chemicals for every car and you really purchased them special for my car? So then the finance guy takes credit card to go process refund and comes back with a copy of a check to the finance company. Oh we can't refund your cc, we will send your load company the refund. So I was a bit angry about this as I still had to pay off my credit card, but I had no choice but to agree. They said they were putting it right in the mail. NOPE! Two months later no credit...in fact, they must have never mailed that check...the refund was never received. I had to file complaint with my credit card company and guess what? I won and was refunded. The only justice is that when I went in to get the alarm/starter put on the accidentally did the whole protection plan. They forgot to cancel my order! So I guess they got to use up the special chemicals they bought for my car. They are just plain crooked jerks from the top down. I even wrote to Ford directly and they said that they couldn't get involved. Sad for consumers who chose to buy American during these times when their is many other choices to be had. Also I forgot to add that I had A+ credit and asked for the 0% financing through Ford which I was approved for, but unbeknownst to me they applied to 5 different credit companies which caused my credit report to have 5 hard inquiries which we all know that anything over 2 in a 2 year period "dings" your credit. Yep credit went down to B rating after doing business with the crooks. I never gave them permission to pull my credit 5 times with 5 different companies. read more

I have purchased a few vehicles from Gold Mill and have always been super satisfied. This purchase, not so much. First off Mark G is probably the worst salesman I have EVER dealt with. He is one of the reasons I will never go back to Golf Mill. I told him to his face that I hated him, hate is a strong word, but yes, I hate that man. Anyways next problem. I bought a 2016 Explorer with 1200 miles on it. I love the truck, no complaints there. My dad noticed it had no back wiper on it and that the leather under the drivers seat was unclipped. My back window has a tiny scratch from someone using the wiper with no blade. Again, no big deal, I took it in and the service department fixed both of those problems. Now to the biggest problem, I was sitting in front of my truck at work and I notice there are dents and scratches on the front bumper. I'm like uhhhh wtf!! So I looked at the back bumper, scratches, chunks missing, dents, etc. I'm like ok, Golf Mill needs to replace both of these bumpers. They refused to do it, they stated that I must have been in an accident in the one day I had the vehicle. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? You showed me a Carfax that stated the truck had been involved in one accident. They offered to buff out the scratches, ummmmmm hello, what about the dents? I was going to file a claim through my insurance but F that, Golf Mill knows the vehicle was sold to me like that but refuses to practice GOOD customer service and just replace the friggin bumpers. When I was trying to read the Carfax, Mark G rushed me through it. I hope Ford reads this as well so they know what crap service Golf Mill is giving their customers. Until they fix this problem I will never purchase another vehicle from them. I am thinking about just leaving Ford altogether. Way too go Golf Mill, you cost Ford a customer over $1700 bumpers. read more

Worst experience I've ever had. I will never return back ever again. I dealt with someone named Dean K. in the service department and he was absolutely worthless. In all my life I've never met someone as worse as him working for a dealership. I blame the owners of Golf Mill Ford for not properly managing the care and service they give to their customers. My vehicle is brand-new and completely under warranty so it's not about having to pay it's all about the lack of service, the rudeness, and their inability to plan for a small construction project. Buying an American-made vehicle is very important to me, but Ford will lose a lot of customers if they continue to have people like this work for them. It's your typical car dealer but they are very disrespectful. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone. I went in to complete a test drive offer i received at the auto show. After I gave him the paper to sign he kept trying to pressure me into buying a car. He would not give me the paper even when I made it clear I wanted to leave. He then brought over his sleazy manager to come and try to talk me into trading in my car. I told him I was not interested. He then insisted I was a fool if I didn't let them appraise my car. I explained that my father had a bought a car from them before and if I would consider buying a ford they would have my business. After almost 2 hours of discussing that I needed to go and an exchange of a few uncourteous words on my part I was on my way. They still have the audacity to call me even after I made it clear i never want to business. This dealership doesn't view you as a person all they care about is making sure you buy a car they are very inconsiderate and rude. read more

Horrible Service Department! Go to any other Ford Dealer. I took my 2012 F250 Super Duty in for 95000 mile service and a noise from the engine and a loose window. I made an 730 am appointment and dropped it off the next day. After 8 hours I called them and was told," We can't do anything for the window and we'd have to replace all the retaining clips on the door if we open it up, so we're not gonna look at it.". They continued with, "My technician had a heck of a time opening your hood , so you need a new hood latch, the noise ...we don't hear it, but we don't have a record of you having these fluid change outs done , so lets do them . OK?" Its a corporate fleet vehicle ,so I do all that stuff, I even brought it back while the noise was happening so the tech. could hear and diagnose it. I picked it up after 4 days of work and this was the worst. I get called and told the truck is ready, all the work is done, the parts are replaced and all the service is complete. I get to the dealership and talk to the asst. service manager who called me. I had to ask for receipts because he didn't print them up yet, I had to wait 45 minutes for my truck pulled up, they didn't replace the service sticker on the windshield, the interior of the drivers side door had oil all over it, and as I drove my unwashed truck away the noise came back loud and clear. In a nutshell Golf Mill Ford cannot be trusted with an oil change. read more

I had - and continue to have - a horrible experience here. They have terrrible salespeople who have no manners, and they harass potential customers with unceasing emails. The salesman, Ruben Garnica, didn't show any interest in me as a customer. For one thing, he took a phone call while I was at his desk and another one during a test drive. While I talked to the manager, Paul K., about pricing, he checked-out of the conversation and tapped on his cell phone the whole time. After we bought a different model car, I called Paul to inform him of our decision and expressed my dissatisfaction with Ruben. Paul seemed disinterested as well. I returned a call from the internet sales guy, Jimmy Giannakpoupolos, letting him know we were no longer shopping - thankfully he stopped calling. However, seven weeks later Ruben's form letter emails continue to come in multiple times per week. I've replied at least 20 times to take me off the list. I even sent a complaint to the General Manger, Mario Snosnowski, via their online form with a request for a response and got none. Today I'll be emailing the whole management team. One of the first things Ruben said to me was, "We're the number one Ford dealership in the midwest." I asked, "to what do you attribute that ranking?" He said, "I guess we sell the most cars." I was looking for a Ford Focus Hatchback. My husband visited Bill Kay Ford and had a good experience and received a great OTD (out the door) price in writing from Bill Kay. Bill Kay did not have my first color preference, but Golf Mill Ford did. My husband went to Golf Mill to see if they could match Bill Kay's price. They said there must have been a mistake by the other dealer because the price was so low, but if my husband could show them something in writing Golf Mill would beat the price by $100. The next morning, my husband sent Golf Mill the paperwork, which indicated the type of vehicle and the price (only redacting the dealer name and VIN). The salesman originally told my husband that it was under review and that he was sure it would be approved shortly. Soon thereafter, my husband heard back from the salesman that Golf Mill Ford would not honor its agreement. The ownership accused my husband of lying and presenting fraudulent documentation. They were absolutely wrong. We went back that night to the reputable Bill Kay Ford in Midlothian, received excellent service and paid exactly what Golf Mill was told for our new Focus (in my second color choice). Could not be happier with our purchase from Bill Kay. I am beyond repulsed that Golf Mill would make those false accusations against my husband who is a decent and honest person. One important note . . . the salesman my husband dealt with (Muhammed ) was excellent. None of this was his fault . . . all the issues fall on the management of Golf Mill Ford. read more

I just wanted to let you know on Saturday February 22, 2014 I drove 65 miles one way to your dealership with promises made by your salesperson Evona Florin that she could "make a deal happen" for me. Long story short I was very upset at the way I was treated talk to and perceived by the salesperson and the sales manager. I was lied to in order to get me into your dealership, and then once I got there the lies never stopped. On a lighter note I do want to thank the dealership for the treatment I received because it forced me to purchase a vehicle at Joe Rizza Ford. I ended up purchasing a truck that was exactly what I was looking for and more, at a better price that what I was offered from them.
