SHADY, SHADY and more SHADY!! Is all I have to say. This was the worst car buying experience of my life. I knew exactly what I wanted, found a used car online through their site and called for a price as one was not listed. I spoke with a sales manager, wrote down the price and verified it with him over the phone. When I came in the same day, he quoted a COMPLETELY different and higher price. I pulled out the piece of paper with the figure he told me over the phone and he denied that he ever gave me that price. BAIT & SWITCH. He then spent the next few hours showing us other cars similar to the one I wanted with less features. I should have walked out but they keep playing dirty car salesmen games... Eventually we started talking about the original car again and pricing. Within this conversation he says - 'well, you probably don't have any credit'... WHAT - WHO SAYS THAT - how and why do you assume something like this and say it out loud?! (Actually I have excellent credit.) So this continues to drag out until 10pm or so. He also tells us how he is not making anything on this deal - like we care...and as if this really professional besides. I negotiated having the car detailed as it was dirty on the inside... (They put it on the lot without bothering to do anything to clean it.) They told me I could bring it in and do this at any time. I go to drive it the hell out of there and figure out that there NO GAS left - Nor would they do anything to fill it for me when I ask. A couple of days later I find that my passenger window leaks when it rains. SO i have to drive back up there and get the rubber seal replaced as it looks like it was sliced with a knife. (I was driving it so never got over to that side to see it.) Again - they never did ANYTHING to fix the car before putting it on the market. Besides this, I start calling to schedule the detailing of the car, leave messages and never get a call back. Then they tell me that this had to be done within 30 days per the fine print. Convenient. You will get an nasty attitude from 'customer service' person besides the shady practices. I tell everyone I know NOT TO GO HERE. I will go to another state before I buy another car from here or their sister dealer Hawk Ford which also has similar reviews. BTW: I'm sure the 5 star reviews are from the employees... read more

Back in Aug We bought a 2nd car for my wife, we told our sales guy that we wanted satellite radio because my wife has a long commute each day. After we found the car we wanted that had a Sirius button on the radio we found that we you hit the button it said satellite not available. Our sales guy said don't worry you just need a new antenna and to call the service department and they will take care of it. We called the service dep about a month later and they told us they have no idea what we are talking about. We went back to our sales guy and he told us that we now need to call a third-party company in the city and they will take care of it. After calling this company that was not Golf Mill Ford I was told that are car did not have satellite radio and that for $400 they could install one. So Golf Milll Ford lied to me about this and then sent me to a different company to pay $400 for what I waned with my car. I would not use them find a different ford dealer. read more

I must say that Darwin Linsangan is the person you should seek if you need to purchase your next car. I have dealt with a lot of other sales representatives among different dealerships but Golf Mill Ford with the assistance of Darwin is top-notch. Different dealerships have different ways of helping you but Darwin makes it happen for you. He doesn't beat around the bush, he goes straight to what you need to get the car you want, and he exhausts every effort to deliver his promise of getting the vehicle you desire. After going through different places, I wasn't expecting a world class customer service experience that Darwin had provided. Superb experience! Zero stars would be too many. We went to golf mill ford in aug of 2013. It was the worst experience ever. They tried to sell us a "new" car that was clearly used and broken. When I brought that up to them, they played the oh we didn't know innocent act. Really, you did not know, the car had no sticker on it, it was dirty, the sun roof was falling in and it had over 500 miles on it. Once I brought that up to them, they were "so sorry" and offered to find me a new car, I would just need to give them $500. Let's just say 2 more hours later we finally left after being insulted by the "manager". These people are disgusting and unethical. They had the nerve to call my husband multiple times a day from different people for two weeks until we finally told them we bought a car elsewhere. Go to Bredeman Ford, these are great people who understand customer service and just aren't in it for a buck. Do not buy your car from Golf Mill Ford!!!! read more

I really hate to give this a two star review because I have been there and had excellent service unfortunately today was not one of them. I drove about 30 mins to this ford dealership to have my car looked at. When we pulled into the station there were ZERO cars being worked on in the front lot and everyone was just sitting on there phones. When I pulled in my car I went to the desk to tell them the issues. My air conditioner had completely stoped and my air bag light was on. When I got there he said my car wouldn't be looked at till Monday because they were extremely busy. Which was fine but I had asked if they had a loaner car I could use. I was told that if I needed a loaner car I would have to call three weeks in advance. Are you kidding me? Who knows there ac is going to shut off three weeks in advance. On top of that I was quoted a completely different price than what I was quoted of the phone by more that 200 dollars. I find it funny how they have no loaner cars but the person who walked in before me had just gotten a loaner car and even one of the porters mentioned that it was a nice loaner car and that he was surprised he didn't get a different one. Disappointed because I usually have really good service here. read more

It's a BIG car, I love that the whole 3rd and back seats go flat at the same level so I can put big trays of floral arrangements in there for delivery!! As I notice, most people are satisfied with the sales people and of course they would be they want to make money on you! I purchased my Kia Rio in July of 2013. In September I noticed one of my tires with low, upon pulling into the parking lot of work I heard a loud hiss all the air was leaking out of my tire! Inspecting the tire I found a steel belt sticking out on the inside of the tire. I called and after jumping through hoops eventually they did replace that tire free. ( Only after working up the chain of course... ) In November I noticed another leak.... guess what it was the front right side tire the opposite one. Again I called spoke to several people ultimately reaching one employee who after of course sympathizing with me that he can only split the cost of the tire with me which amounted to $74. I accepted that I figured oh well I should have checked the tires before I bought the car..... April 16th 2014: guess what? BOTH Front tires are worn turn your radio on the inside of each.... Upon inspection by a mechanic friend and research on the internet, I found out this car was sold to me with no front end alignment!!! I went back today to speak to the general manager and was told " Well..... a misalignment is not covered because it could have happened after you left"..... of course he offered once again to help me at their cost of course out of pocket from me.... we went into the shop to get an estimate where I was informed just to put it up on the rack and diagnose the problem would cost me 139.95!!!! I told him I do not want alignment how much four tires. Well it was $80 per tire ( supposedly GOLF MILL FORD cost.... ) knowing I could not drive one more mile I purchased one tire for the driver side.. resulting in 80 dollars out of pocket. ( this being the third tire put on this side ) I called Walmart to check on the cost of the tires 49.95 + 17.00. Just HOW is this a deal at 80.00???? Not to mention the car was sold to me out of alignment!!! I will NEVER EVER Purchase another vehicle at golf mill Ford North any dealership owned by that person. Unfortunately there are no legal avenues to take to make them honest. Customer service is horrible and they lose business over that. I will tell everyone I know never go to Golf mill Ford! read more

If they tried to take advantage of my 73 old mother, who can they be trusted not to lie to? They said they had a car in stock that they did not have and gave me a quote that they refused to honor. I wasted a lot of time (they like to make you wait) and experienced a great deal of frustration. At least I was able to ensure that my mother was not taken advantage of. I have bought quite a few new cars over the years. I know that drill. Golf Mill Ford really outdid themselves. Stay away!! read more

My wife and I have recently bought a new car from this dealer. I was not pleased! Number one, when we came back to the store for the second time, I couldn't speak to the salesman that we had the first time. Between the two salesmen there was quite a difference in price! When asked about it, all that the new salesman would say was "I don't know what the numbers he gave you were". Number two, the car that we test drove was awesome, only we did not like the color. They said no problem, we can get you the "exact same car in a different color, we will just need a $500 deposit. This way we know you're serious and we will have it here in a couple of days". We paid the $500 and came back a few days later. After test driving that car we noticed that although it was the color that we wanted, it didn't have many of the features that the other car had. It didn't have the auto back door, remote start, keyless doors, push to start, and a couple other things. I was like, Houston we have a problem, were missing all this stuff? The salesman said "we showed you the window sticker". Um, yeah you did but I don't know what all comes standard and what's extra? You told me that we were going to get the exact same car only in a different color? THIS IS NOT THE SAME CAR! He kept saying, "We showed you the window sticker" and my salesman don't know every car and what comes standard. I said well they should, no? That is there job! So I needless to say I was pissed and I wanted to go home and think about it for a night. I kindly asked if our $500 deposit would hold it for one more day. This shitty salesman had the balls to say in a smart ass tone, if someone comes in today and wants it, we will sale it. I said, what will happen to our $500? He said well give it back to you. Now I'm even more pissed, then what the hell is the point of the deposit? Finally a sales manager came over and said that would be fine, they wouldn't sale it to anyone else. So needless to say, they worked us over and we got less of a car for more money. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BUY A CAR OR TRUCK FROM THIS DEALER! read more

Service- I worked with Dean, I came in for a binding steering wheel, which turned out to be the front springs on my truck were broken, diagnosing the problem seemed to be the only thing he could do for me. I have a 3in lift on my truck I was told that the springs were after market and they couldn't fix or order new ones in. I left and went to another shop "Attitude performance" they were booked for 3 weeks out so I didn't have time to get it fixed there. But I learned that the springs I needed replaced were actually the factory springs. I returned to ford, Dean happened to be there and I told him that they are actually factory springs. Instead of him explaining to me that he thought they were aftermarket he just said "I don't think we can work around the lift and that we are pretty busy". I had to ask him to go get a tech to come out and see if he could fix it. The tech just came out said it can be done without hesitation. Dean started back tracking and explaining to the tech the obstacles involved, like he didn't understand them already. It's a 2 hr job and Dean is acting like it's going to take days to do. Told me to bring it in the next morning and hopefully it will get done and that his guys will have to stay late to fix the truck. Like I'm being a nuisance, he must of forgot I'm giving them ($800) to fix the problem. So sorry for my business won't happen again. Took 4 days to install the springs. read more

Total waste of time. Got to the dealership at 9 am. Knew exactly what I wanted. A 16' Black Ford Explorer Limited. They had the vehicle I was looking for. They do keep a large inventory on hand, which is the reason I went to Golf Mill Ford in the first place. Robert my sales guy was nice. Ziggy the sales manager was decent and so I thought let's give this a try. Went along with invoice cost +500 on vehicle. They low balled my 09' Mercedes GL 550 offering me peanuts. Finally got them up to a somewhat respectable offer. 2 hours has gone by up to this point. Ziggy, the sales manager, says ok let's do this deal. I said I will go along providing you can get me 0% over 60 months. NO PROBLEM. Famous last words. I sat around for another hour waiting for their finance guy (who I never met) to "work his magic". Finally I said I need to go and stop wasting my time. They didn't want to give my keys back. I told them at the start I didn't have the best credit and that didn't seem to be an issue. I was putting down 10k towards the new vehicle. That didn't seem to matter. My sales guy Robert finally got my keys from the service manager's desk and gave them to me. Agreed with me that I was wasting my time. Over 3 hours wasted. LOTS OF PROMISES. NO NEW VEHICLE. They will say anything for a sale. But can't deliver. I understand FORD FINANCE is partially to blame. FORD FINANCE is a piece of work as well. Seems like you have to have 700+ on your credit score. After the 2008 financial fall not many people have that anymore. Just felt like I wasted most of my time for nothing. read more

I'll first say that I'm very happy with the car we recently purchased from Golf Mill Ford, however, it was a chaotic experience. Our salesman was very nice and friendly, until we couldn't get close enough to a compromise over price, it worked out fine in the end, but I thought he wore his frustration on his sleeve a little too much while wheeling and dealing, surprise surprise. Then he had me sit at his desk to write an online review for them on the spot, talk about awkward, I never did (at least until now). Then after signing many papers we left, however without signing the actual contract, finance guy had to chase us down in the parking lot, duh. We also had to ask for our old license plate back from our trade in, duh again. Then a few days later I get a phone call saying we signed the wrong contract and they'd mail us the right one for us to sign with a self addressed stamped envelope to send it back in, jeez, whatever. Got the new contract in the mail, no additional envelope... They should be glad that I really like my new car, otherwise this review would be rated less. read more

Whoa! ....thought I was in the movie "Tin Men" but without the comic relief of Danny DeVito and the other characters. Stereotypical salesmen, throwback to the 70's....manipulative, passive aggressive, tried to make me feel obligated just for wanting straightforward information. "Well, if I give you the information you want, will you buy a car?" --- over the phone, I was told they had 4-5 models in stock of what I was looking for....when I got there, the salesman took about 20 minutes to find the only one model they had. Overheard another salesman on the phone pretend he remembered a woman who he had talked to a day or to before, and then later on call her in sexist overtone "Sunshine." What a cast of characters..... I didn't see or hear one person that wasn't doing the hard sell. This place is a slice of life, to be sure, but definitely not a place i would buy a car from. This was the worst car-buying experience I have had, in my life! My purchase started, back in 2012 and continued throughout 2015. The first car I bought here was a Focus; it had 3000 miles on it, I put a good down payment on this car and drove away ... after a week or so, the engine light went on and I brought the car in. Long story short, after going back & forth with these people, the service manager admitted that the car was a "lemon." The sales manager, Mario and the service manager called to offer me and "even exchange" of the car. I've never heard of this and wanted my money back. I would've sued them, but I couldn't practice the "lemon law" on a used vehicle. I couldn't find an identical car to do the even exchange ... I asked if I could get into and Edge and they said no. I finally got into another Focus, however, one with all of the bells and whistles ... hence, a higher car payment but lower interest and another 1500 down. I needed a car so badly and was still unhappy as they were not willing to work with me; I just wanted out and my money back!!! So now my payment was higher and I was still experiencing the same problems which I had with the first Focus. How do I get out? They have no sympathy for the customer, nothing. Their "assemby-line" treatment to customers, just wasn't what I wanted. I had gone to the top and spoke to the owner of Golf Mill Ford and of course, he suggested I go to Golf Mill and choose a car that I liked (even though I wanted out). I had gone in and after another 2000 down, I was finally put into an Edge but my payment was now at $500+ per month; not that affordable as they kept rolling the negative equity from one car, into the other. I couldn't stand it! Also, by now my credit was not the best. I dreaded the fact that my loan was higher than what the car was worth. I was laid off from my job and you guessed it, finally had to get rid of my car. To be honest, I am thrilled that I'm divorced from Golf Mill Ford ... most recently I called one of the sales persons, Mark and told him what happened after 3 years of dealing with them. Well, did he care? The answer is a big fat, NO! This place deals with quantity not quality. No professionalism, high turn over with employees ... never purchase here as there are much better dealerships than this one. Thanks. read more

These guys tried every trick in the book to get me in. I've purchased too many new cars to not spot these guys a mile away. After politely telling them I wouldn't be in and was going to another dealership I was told the sales manager was "too busy" to answer my questions (which other dealers did). If they're too busy to sell me a car and take my money what do you think happens AFTER they get my cash? Don't feel bad for them, they are soooooo busy they don't really need new customers. I would give 0 stars if that was an option! My husband and I decided to buy a Ford Fusion and we contacted a few dealerships in the area to check stock and pricing. The contact I had at Golf Mill Ford, John, was the epitome of HORRIBLE customer service! Anyway, not only did he refuse to give me any type of pricing he actually hung up the phone on me. After a few calls / emails with him not giving me pricing I went online and was able to get a starting number. I contacted John again asking if this was in fact the price and I stated that I received initial quotes on the same vehicle from 2 other dealers in the area that were almost $4,000 cheaper! His exact response to this was "you are being lied to and I know you will come crawling crying back to me when you realize we are the best" and then he hung up on me! I wish that was the end of our correspondence but he had the audacity to email me and tell me I was being mislead and that he was still available to work with. Two days after that email he called me AGAIN and did not say hello or this is Golf Mill Ford instead he started the conversation with "have you bought a car yet? I could continue to go on and on about how unprofessional and rude this man and this dealership was to work with. In the end I went with another dealership and got my Fusion $5,000 cheaper then what was stated online for Golf Mill Ford and had a wonderful experience with the dealership I did go with. I can not recommend enough to stay away from this dealer! read more

We went back and forth with their online sales person who was quite rude to us over email even after we kept thanking them and telling them how much we appreciated them working with us. We took our business elsewhere because they kept quoting prices higher than listed online for the same exact car and vin# (be sure to google any vin# they send you). Worst car dealership experience ever! And that's saying a lot considering some of the issues I've had with car dealerships. I went in with my wife yesterday (6/28/13) after work because we had found a vehicle online that we liked. As soon as we got there we were swarmed by salesman trying to get their hooks into the next fish. I hate that feeling. Despite the initial feeling, we stayed and test drove the car we came to look at. Everything was good with the car so we sat down to work out initial numbers. We had a trade in but didn't bring it with us and told them that we'd come back tomorrow to finalize a sale. They decided to let us "borrow" the car overnight so we could really get a feel for it. While it seems like this is really nice of them, it's actually just their ploy to make sure you actually do come back for the sale. Skip ahead to the next day (today 6/29/13). We brought the car back in as well as my wife's vehicle for trade. I pulled in first with the sale car and my wife a few minutes later in her car. Once again there was a swarm of salesman moving in behind her vehicle waiting for her to get out. I started walking over with the guy we were working with and all the other salesman finally backed off. We went inside and sat down while they took my wife's trade in to look it over. We were both getting a real sketchy creepy vibe the whole time we were there. Our sales guy finally comes over with the offer on the trade..... and it's $1,200 below Blue Book Value and a full $1,500 below what we had already been offered at a Hyundai dealership just 3 days before. I told our sales guy it was a joke and I was about to walk out but he convinced me to give him 5 minutes to work on it. Then he brings someone else over who I can only assume was a manager. At this point the new guy starts going into used car dealer mode and spouting off how they don't make much money off these cars and they're price at the bare minimum.....yada yada yada. I've heard it all before but if you weren't making money you wouldn't be in business. Then the really sketchy part happens. This new guy writes down the cost of the car I wanted to by, minus the price I wanted to get on trade, then leaves blank spots for tax, title, license, etc and expects me to sign at the bottom. I asked him why he wanted me to sign something and he says "to show me your commitment to working with us". I told him I'm sitting here in front of you right now, what other commitment do you need? I was about to walk away again and my original salesman starts explaining what they're trying to do. What happened then just blew my mind. The new guy jumps down his throat and they start arguing right there in front of my wife and I. Needless to say we got up and walked away. They continued to argue as we left. I will never go back there again! Update 6/29/13 So I received a call from Clara trying to win my business back. I had already done some more research and found the exact same car at another dealership for $3,000 less. I told Clara that the only difference was that this other car had more miles but that I didn't care about the mileage. Clara tells me on the phone that they'll give me what I wanted on the trade and that they'll beat the other dealership's price. After giving her all the info of what I was looking at she tries to tell me that she can't find the car in a 600 mile radius. Funny, all it took for me was to go on Bredemann's website. She finally finds the car and tells me that it can't be the same model for $3,000 less and that she needed to check it and would call back in 5 minutes. 3 hours later, after many of my own phone calls trying to get back in touch with Clara, I end up speaking with Mike, a sales manager. After our discussion didn't go the way either one of us wanted, his solution was for me to go ahead and write a bad review and we'll just part ways. This entire operation is a joke and I have no clue how they claim to be the number 1 Ford dealer in the Midwest. My personal opinion is that these people don't have the first clue as to what true customer service is. I wasted an entire day with this. Don't do the same. read more

Commercial says push it, pull it, etc. but when you try to trade in they totally insult your car. Sell their used car as brand new. They sold me a lemon last year. Didnt disclose it had just been in a accident. Had me sign car fax report and said theyd give me a copy. Gave me one page only. Never got a chance to read it. They did a nice paint cover up on the rust which started showing after a few weeks. I had to replace tires, control arms, ball joints, drive belt, brakes, trans mount, window motor, links, trans fluid. Golf Mill Ford has not only lost my patronage, but the patronage of my friends, family, and any future car buyer I come into contact with. As a first time buyer I have been made aware of multiple scams and tricks dealerships will use to take advantage of an inexperienced buyer, but even with this foresight I could not have expected that Golf Mill Ford would willingly lie directly to my face and conduct business in a (if not already illegal) shady way. This post is edited for brevity and does not reflect the stress and anguish of this ongoing 20+ day conflict. I came into Golf Mill Ford with the goal of finding a car that I could purchase within my price range. After some looking I had my eye on an '09 Honda Accord and began to negotiate with salesperson Oday Omar. After nearly two hours of waiting (after my card was processed for a down payment without any official paperwork being shown to me) I was brought to the office of finance manager Avanes David. Without being greeted or being told anything and STILL not seeing any official paperwork I was immediately put on the phone, very confused as to who I was speaking with and why. When asked what the call was for the person on the other end had stated that the dealership I was buying a car for was setting me up with an insurance company (out of my pocket) so that I could drive the car off the lot that day. I promptly explained I had not even agreed to purchase a car that day and hung the phone up, when Mr. David finally spoke with me. After another hour or so we came to an agreement and I was finally shown a contract with final numbers. It is worth noting I was financing the vehicle and therefore the APR was listed in the contract which will be important next. The car I drove off the lot was not even street legal as it had a flat tire, inoperative brake light, and less importantly various scratches. In the contract they agreed to have the car touched up, and when that appointment was completed I noticed the color paint did not match the car, the scratches were not fully covered or done well at all, and in some places the car was completely untouched/had more scratches over the hood than when it was brought in. As I went to speak with Mr. David about this he sprung onto me that my original contracts APR was denied and I would need to sign a new contract with a higher APR a full 18 days after I drove the car off the lot for the first time. I questioned him about our previous contract and he said it was within their rights to change the contract's APR within a certain grace period (which is correct and legal) however if I refuse to sign I would need to return the car. I was fully prepared to return the vehicle in exchange for my down payment but when I said I wanted to do so they had me speak with a larger, intimating finance manager named Chris Grigsby that refused to take my car back and said verbatim "you already agreed to buy a car from us last time you came in and signed, so now you have two options for this new contract: you sign or you sign." When he received the answer that I knew that was illegal and he had an obligation to take the car back if I did not agree to the higher APR he told me to "beat it" and so I left. After this incident I opened a case with the Attorney General and attached a detailed incident report and received a call from Golf Mill Ford shortly after with a different finance manager. He apologized for the incident and offered me a better deal, but at that point I deemed the best thing for me was to discontinue all current and future business with them. I told the gentleman that I would be in touch. After another day Mr. Grigsby gave me a call explaining that he wanted me to come in and we could "put this whole thing behind us and just make it easy." I complied and came into the dealership with my brother as support and we told Mr. Grigsby that we had no interest in the new deal and that the car would be returned for a full refund of my down payment. Again, Mr. Grigsby attempted to intimidate and told us that since I had the car for 3 weeks at that point they would need to charge me $500 for a "restocking fee" as well as the miles I had driven on the vehicle during that time. When we refused and asked him to show us in writing where it said they were legally allowed to do so Mr. Grigsby asked us to follow him outside of his office at which point he involved another gentleman that attempted to take the keys from us and leave us empty handed, so I left the dealership and am now in the process of hiring a lawyer as that is the only way anyone can win against Golf Mill Ford. read more

High pressure sales tactics... salesman scribbled down some numbers, ran off to ask his boss, more of the same for 1/2 hour. They confiscated the keys to my car making it difficult to walk out. I have gone to this dealership twice now... 1st time in 2010 for my Ford Escape which was an awesome car with only 6 miles on it! Mark G. was my salesman and did an excellent job getting me what I wanted. They called me recently to offer me possible 0% financing on a 2016 and I went in and found a very nice Ford Fusion with only 11 miles on it... yes salesman can come off as pushy or stubborn because their income and job depends on sales yet they do also work their butts off to get you the best possible deal so you leave a happy satisfied customer.... I went in with my stubborn self and gave him a hard time and wouldn't budge from a certain price I wanted to stay near.... needless to say he worked it out where I was able to get the 0% financing and a payment near to what I wanted to stay around. The people there were friendly as well.... So if you are in the market for a new car and a great deal ask for Mark G. He is the one to see to get a great deal! read more

I feel I got solid deal, and Vince was good to work with. Car dealers are in the business to sell cars, but I didn't feel they give me a big pressure play. The dealer gave me good value for my trade in and offered me a fair price on the F150 I bought. Overall I'd say it was a good experience, and I'd deal with these guys again. read more

I had a terrible experience this past Saturday. It was a waste of my time. I felt completely disrespected and that the manager didn't even seem to understand why I was upset. This review is about the manager, Dominic, and the lack of confirmation that the vehicle was on site. - I called just a couple of hours in advance to confirm availability of a specific vehicle - I drove 45 minutes to get there - I was informed (very nicely by Wes, great guy) that the vehicle was at a different location - Manager (Dominic) came over to tell me that it's his vehicle (already sounding confrontational, not the slightest bit apologetic) and that it's at another location and that he can have it there in an hour. - I let Dominic know that I confirmed availability before driving there and that I didn't have time to wait around. Instead of apologizing he decides to explain and justify their operating procedure; still confrontational and sharp. Eventually he apologized, way too late and entirely insincere. - I repeated that I don't have time, asked for the address of where the vehicle was in case it's near the location of the other vehicle I wanted to see that day. He did give me the address after repeating that it's his vehicle and he can have it there in an hour. I didn't call a few hours in advance just to show up and wait for them to bring the vehicle over. On a positive note, Wes was very nice and the location was well kept. Greeted very positively by a large number of representatives the moment I drove on the lot and directed to where I could park. read more

Bought a 2015 used, certified Explorer. Agreed on a price and put $3000 down. Then the business office tried to make me pay and extra $350 for window etching!? I'm like "I already negotiated a price for the car which included the glass!" Then the business guy began a charade about how sales staff is supposed to tell buyers they are responsible for extras. Basically, it was all BS of course. Didn't think dealers still tried to pull such crap...really buddy?! read more

Ugh...worst car buying experience ever!! Went here to simply start my car buying search (mind you I have never bought a car of my own before). The car salesman was extremely unprofessional and did not have a clue as to what kind of cars he was selling. After explaining that I was just LOOKING and after hours of trying to see what I would actually pay for the car, he nearly forced me to sign papers. When I finally "untied the ropes" the dealer and the manager at the time, were extremely rude to me. Finally getting out of there without buying a car, I had to deal with up to 4 or 5 phone calls in one day for the next 5 days straight. After that I had to deal with texts from the dealer and more phone calls. Finally, I simply asked to be removed. AND then I get texts and phone calls from the dealer's girlfriend. Who had somehow gotten my number and thought that her bf (car dealer) was cheating on her with me. Seriously!! WORST WORST WORST experience. Do not even step into the dealership. There is a Ford dealership in Glenview, just a short ways away, that has much much better service (which is where I went about a month or two later and purchased my focus, and couldn't have asked for a better first car buying experience). read more

Service was ok during my initial visit, though I suppose because they wanted to lock in the sale. They were attentive, but did a poor job explaining some of the features and I felt like no one there was able to speak to the financing options. Further, trying to get in touch with various departments after we bought the car has been impossible. I've called multiple times and end up just being transferred to another department over and over until i finally leave a voice mail for someone. Still waiting on a call back. I've also tried to get someone to call me through emailing the company and the online chat tool to no avail. I'll go somewhere else next time. read more

Beware of buying used car-don't trust their car history report! THEY LIE!!! After seeing their car history report noting no accidents or repairs, we put a deposit on a used car but were not able to take immediate possession of it. When the pressure to take the car was immense, it raised a red flag. I paid to run a Carfax report from home & learned the car had actually been in a terrible accident that necessitated an axle being replaced. When I showed them my report, they refunded our deposit. When I asked about their report, they said that it would only show if the car was totaled. STAY AWAY!!! read more

Its our first time to buy car on this dealership, i was scared with the bad reviews but still i was able to get a smooth experience. I love my car but had a horrible experience with this dealership. I caught them in a bait-and-switch when it came time to sign the paperwork. Both the Ford and dealership websites advertised a $500 cash rebate available if the financing was done through Ford, and the advertised rates were 2.9 for 3 years, 3.9 for 4, and 4.9 for 5 years. I selected the 5 year option and was given an installment contract for a 6.9 rate. I told the finance manager "no thanks," and he found me a lower 3.9 rate from one of his other financing sources, with the tradeoff being that the $500 rebate wasn't available. I selected that option, since it was cheaper. He told me that I could check with my bank and that if I found an even lower rate within a week, he would convert my transaction to a "cash deal." That was fair, though the rebate still wouldn't have been available. After I got home, I double-checked the Ford and dealership websites, and sure enough, the rebate and rates were advertised as I described above. I returned to the dealership the next day and waited close to an hour to talk to the finance manager. I told him what I found, and he gave me a song and dance about the computer being down when were were first working the financing and that without computer access, he couldn't have known what the applicable promotional offers were. He said he'd take a look "right away," and he had me wait outside his office for another 15 minutes. Then, the salesman who I had worked with came out of the office with a computer printout of some sort, showed it to me, and insisted that the financing rates I had described are available only WITHOUT the rebate and that I would have to choose one or the other. The document he showed me was unintelligible. I told him that I had just checked the websites, and I pulled out my iPhone and told him that I had the link. I also told him that "we've got a real problem if your printout isn't showing the same promotions as the website." He returned to the finance manager's office, came back within 2 minutes, and simply said "you're right." in the end, I received what I was entitled to, but only because I'm a sophisticated customer, and I was persistent/aggressive. I won't even get started on a rant about the dealership's practice of (1) having the customer relations manager sit down with each customer to bad-mouth Ford for sending to each new car owner an evaluation of their experience at the dealership, and (2) misrepresenting a "VIN Etch" warranty program. I will not return to this dealership for any service on the vehicle. If it's necessary to bring the car to a dealership for warranty work, I will select a different one. This dealership is located in an area with a large number of immigrants and other consumers who may not be aware of their rights. I shudder to think of how many people have been taken advantage of by Golf Mill Ford. read more

My husband & I had our eye on the 2013 Ford Escapes ever since we saw one on the road months ago. We were pretty sure it wasn't a possibility for us to afford one, so we initially visited other dealerships thinking we might find something else to meet our needs. After those visits, we were slightly encouraged by what we saw, but knew we wanted to stop into a large Ford dealer before making a purchase. As soon as we drove up to Golf Mill Ford, we were greeted by Angie, who we spoke with earlier that day to set up the appointment, and she referred us to Darwin, our sales representative. He had the patience of a saint as he showed us everything on the lot within our specifications, and didn't try to upgrade us into something absurdly beyond our price range. My husband is a manager at a local AAMCO shop, so he knows cars inside & out. I, on the other hand, knew I wanted a sunroof & a paint color I loved! Darwin listened to our needs, and our last stop of the afternoon was across the street to see the new 2013 Escapes. We narrowed down the lot to two models we could afford, test drove them both, and knew we'd found our new car. Although there was a TON of paperwork, both Darwin and Dave in finance made the process streamlined & easy for us. I was dreading the DMV to get plates, registration etc, but they handled it all onsite. I've already received a follow up email from Darwin, and I know it won't be the last I hear from him to make sure we are satisfied with our purchase. THANK YOU to Golf Mill Ford - I will highly recommend this dealership, and Darwin specifically, to any of my friends needing a new vehicle. read more
