    Oolong tea with milk foam
    Lisa N.

I love Gong Cha, but unfortunately, the quality of the tea and boba at this location didn't meet the standards I've experienced at other locations. The boba was smaller, harder, and almost shrivelled, with a fairly bland taste. The tea also seemed more watered down than what I'm used to. Since this is the closest Gong Cha to me, I'm still willing to give them another try and will update my review accordingly.

It's located in a convenient complex with Whole Food and other restaurants. Parking could be crowded when you come during lunch/dinner time. This place is clean in a small interior with a couple tables. Service is good and got greeted as soon as we walked in. Got the Star Jelly Grapefruit Green Tea and the mochi waffle. The tea is just ok and the star jelly is peach flavor. The peach jelly doesn't taste that good together with the tea. I'd prefer the regular boba or the crystal boba with neutral flavors. In terms of the mochi waffle, there is no taste. I think the quality has gone down from before. It's a bit disappointing.

I haven't been to Gong Cha for a very long time. I remember mostly good things back then. Now there are too many options nowadays. We happened to be in the area and dropped by the closest one. The store is very small with limited seating. The beverages are not that memorable overall... maybe my tastebuds changed over time. The london fog was better than the cream brulee. I did adjust sugar for both so it might have impacted the flavor.

Never been this upset to write a review but when you spend $20 on drinks, you expect them to be good. I ordered two smoothies and both weren't smooth at all, they were like iceys and tasted like water. We've had Gonga Cha in Sacramento and it was great till they closed down specifically wanted a smoothie and got sugar water for $20. Just disappointed for how much I paid and what I got.

Easy in and out service today. I asked the worker what her recommendation was and she suggested the oolong milk tea. My only criticism is that I wish it had some extra pearls. Loved the little sign inside so had to grab a cute snap!

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. Literally one of my go to spots. Quick service, not overly friendly. Love the fruit teas, even 0% sweetness is pretty sweet so I add water at home. Cute inside with tables and a restroom. If you don't feel like talking to a human you can order on a kiosk. Rainbow jellies are the best, and fun!

Quick service and easy ordering system. The milk teas have fun flavors and I enjoyed their biscoff milk tea most recently. The place itself is usually quiet and has some seating inside.

Pumpkin Spice Milk Tea with Pearls & Milk Foam
    Alex Z.

Love coming to this places, quick service you're in and out without any hassle. I also like it because of their seasonal drinks like their pumpkin pearl milk tea with milk foam. If you're a pumpkin lover this is the drink for you! The inside is small, but as I mentioned before service is quick.

The worst boba I've ever tried. I paid almost $18 for two large drinks, and both tasted like watered-down flavored water. As someone who enjoys Taiwanese milk tea, I expected a strong tea aroma and rich flavor, but these drinks mostly smelled like milk with barely any tea taste. The boba pearls were hard and stale instead of soft and chewy. Nothing about the drinks justified the price. Extremely disappointing and definitely not worth the money.

Easy to find at Marketplace. Quick service. Cafe ambiance. Less than five minutes from order to pick up.

I went out for dinner at a nearby place. When pulling into the parking lot I was pleasantly surprised to see a Gong Cha was there too. Gong Cha was my favorite place to get boba when there was a location in Newark. It didn't last long tho. After dinner, we went here for boba. We got the brown sugar milk tea with pearl and crème brûlée topping and Marble Mango with strawberry white pearl and strawberry syrup. Both were fantastic!!!

Great service at this location! Patient, helpful employees. You can either order at the register, on a kiosk, or online. I had a gift card but apparently this location hasn't received the card reader. They tried to manually input the card number and when that didn't work, they said I could try scanning it on the kiosk. No luck. I tried downloading the app but did you know there are over three different Gong Cha Apps?? Have to download the California one specifically. It didn't accept gift card payment but I found enough points for a free drink. So it was basically BOGO since I treated a friend to boba. As soon as my order went through to the kitchen with a "ding", the employee presented us with our drinks already made! He had anticipated that we'd order no matter what. Gingerbread bottles + special milk teas are only $7! If the drink doesn't already come with boba, it's 70 cents extra. *Gingergread Boba Milk Tea + Milk Foam (substituted grass jelly instead, less sweet available) *Taro Milk Tea (no caffeine) + Milk Foam, added boba Creamy sweet and they don't add ice to these drinks. The bottles are so cute and have a little bitty scarf. The milk foam is like crema, a little sweet n savory from sea salt. Gingerbread wasn't too pronounced but it did have a few holiday spices. I do like having ice in my drinks but the whole novelty of these holiday beverages surpassed that need, plus it was cold out. Stop by before they run out!

That said, they're constantly restocking, and the staff has a well-oiled system down. Even when it's busy, things move surprisingly efficiently. PASTRIES/BAKED GOODS: 9/10 I love their pastries and baked goods! I honestly haven't had anything that was a miss for me, whether it's savory or sweet. Everything I've tried has been delicious. FOOD/MEALS: 8/10 As for their meals, I thought they were good, but not quite as memorable as the pastries. I ordered the avocado toast, and while it was hearty and generously loaded, I felt like there was just a little too much going on. Both the salad and the toast were dressed a bit too heavily for my taste. COFFEE: 8/10 I also really enjoy their coffee. My go-to is the Latte Einspänner, and it pairs perfectly with their pastries. You can really taste the quality of the espresso, and I appreciate that it's not overly sweet. SERVICE: 9/10 The staff is quick, efficient, and constantly on the move. As I mentioned, they run like a well-oiled machine, even during the morning rush. AMBIANCE: 8/10 Seats fill up fast! If you're planning to dine in and you spot an open table, have someone in your group grab it while the other orders; tag-team it, lol. I also love the overall aesthetic. The wooden tables, sky blue and yellow color palette, and bright space make it feel warm and inviting. And of course, the giant glass displays packed with beautiful pastries are hard to resist; they're practically part of the décor!

There is plenty of seating inside, and some outside. Outlets can be found it some tables. It's a good place to work with your laptop. It's mostly tables for 2. There's a larger communal table, and some counter seating. Parking can be difficult. There's a small area in the parking garage for "guest" parking. It's almost always full and you will depend on luck to find one spot there or arrive in time when someone is leaving their spot. There is no parking on most of the surrounding streets, except for the small section of the road that curves underneath Lawrence. And that part is often full of parked cars. It can be frustrating and this parking situation will easily drive away customers to find somewhere else with easier parking. If you're fortunate enough to get parking, you will find that Coffeebar offers a decent coffee menu, baked goods, and some food if you need more than a snack. The people working behind the counter have all been very friendly and helpful. Their Chocolate Croissant is HUGE!!! They'll ask if you want it warmed up. Definitely do this. It is delicious slightly warmed up. I have tried their Iced Chai Latte, which was just OK. It lacked the spice I was expected from a chai, and felt a bit too milky. I prefer their Iced Caramel Latte, which is much better than the Chai. Next time I will try their Mocha.

I drove back to my office and ate my sandwich with the cake roll sitting in the open, 20 minutes later, when I went to eat the roll cake, the strawberry and chocolate mousse filling was still frozen and crystallized when you went to eat it.
