Delivery: Uber eats. Arrived early Baguette bowl Ate this first, split it with my husband. We ate it so fast there is no pic! It's like a garlic roll with cream inside. Wonderful Garlic chicken fried rice Pepperoncinis were so good. I really like this as a whole meal. It doesn't need anything else. Not so sure about the garlic part though. It didn't give an overwhelming garlic flavor but probably just added to the complex flavors of the whole dish. I even like the salad dressing that came with the little salad. Pepper crispy wings The outside was crunchy and the meat juicy, as advertised. Seasoning was good and had a little kick. We bought a bunch of sauces to try out, so it was fun to mix and match with the wings Sauces: Galbi Soy Garlic Spicy mayo Sweet and Spicy All of these were good. My favorite was the soy garlic and sweet and spicy. My husband enjoyed the Galbi and spicy mayo. Hard to explain each, you would just have to try them! Welcome to juicy town. I don't know what Goobne means or stands for but I shall create my own translation. Goobne is juicy town to me. Heard this place is famous, which is cool and all, but I judge it for myself and this place is worth the hype. Chicken wings that are crispy and friggin hella juicy made me question how they do it. The pepper wings were flavorful and not over powering which made it a favorite at the table. The original had the same texture and juiciness but was just kinda basic in flavor. The orangish sauce they give you though really kicked it up. Salad was just okay, in the house so no complaints. Service was really great, would love to see this kinda of attention and friendliness at other eating places now days. Congrats, you just got kicked to a five in my book for your staff and cleanliness. Will absolutely be back. read more

Came here to have lunch with my coworkers! I decided to order the lunch bowl, which can be customized with Volcano or Galbi chicken. Aside from our entrees, we were also given a bowl of salad to munch on as we waited. My bowl was underwhelming, as it felt like just sauce, chicken, and rice. It's a pretty decent portion for around $11 though. I will say - their unique aspect is that their chicken is oven roasted! I tried a wing, and was surprised by the crunch it still had. Not sure if I would return, but an interesting take on chicken! read more

We've been coming here since they first opened and are still loyal customers. The food is always solid. Their chicken is crispy but not greasy, which is hard to find. We really like both the soy garlic and galbi flavors -- both are super tasty. Lately we've also been into their pizza, and even our kids gave it a thumbs up. Stopped by Goobne Chicken in Fullerton on a Saturday around 5:30 PM. It wasn't too busy at first, just a few tables occupied but it definitely picked up not long after we ordered. We also noticed a lot of people coming in for takeout, so it seems like a popular spot even if it's kind of tucked away in a quieter area. Parking was super easy, free and open, which is always a win. The staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in, which made the experience feel really welcoming. The menu is on the smaller side, but it has some solid options. We tried the peppered wings and the volcano pizza. The wings were so juicy and perfectly baked, packed with flavor, and definitely a highlight. The pizza had a good spicy kick and was tasty, but it was on the heavier side. I could only manage two slices, so maybe better shared if you're not super hungry. Overall, I'd recommend giving it a try. I went back and forth on writing this review, but the experience was so wildly out of pocket that it felt irresponsible not to share. Our side salad arrived with a live worm crawling through it. We pointed it out and the waitress thanked us. It was unclear which of us had misunderstood the situation. She later explained the bug was there because they don't use pesticides. From that explanation, we gathered the vegetables were also not washed. No apology followed. Then the ddukbokki arrived in what I can only describe as soup. Not saucy. Not brothy. Just a full-on aquatic experience where the rice cakes were floating freely. I asked if it could be remade. Instead, they drained some of the water and added more sauce, then sent it back out as an overcooked, soggy mess. This is the cutest little Korean restaurant on this side of town. The patio is very open and light up nice. Inside is very clean and average loudness with popular music and tv playing. The service is friendly and decent but did I not like charged $1.50 for 1 oz of volcano hot sauce for the rice to spice it up a notch. I definitely enjoyed the presentation of the chicken fried rice with Scrambled egg!! Good stuff!! Peas, carrots, onion, Lima beans. Very flavorful and portion is for 1 person. Comes with a plain lettuce salad, with light to nothing thin regular dressing. Since I'm watching calorie intake, I'm still thinking if I liked that?? (Maybe a diluted, soft vinegar it seemed.) Ordered a medium size soy garlic wings. It took about 15 minutes to make but the chicken was sooo crispy. The flavor was like a sweet and savory garlic sauce which is my favorite. It has a very very slight mild kick, and I think I would've liked a bit more of a kick. I can't wait to try different flavors. I do appreciate how crispy the chicken was and it didn't make you feel gross after like normal fried chicken does! read more

I remember when it was Thank You Chicken before and I got to know the owners. A bit of nostalgia for me. They suddenly closed and the place was empty for a bit until I saw the sign saying Goobne, a chain in Korea, was coming. After a year plus of finally telling myself I was going to try it, I finally did. Pros 1. I could taste the natural freshness 2. Good amount of flavor. Ordered the original and soy garlic 3. Friendly service 4. Very clean Cons 1. On the pricier side 2. I think it's cheaper to phone in your order rather than ordering online because it's through third party apps. The location is very convenient for me as I drive through the area a lot. With so many Korean fried chicken restaurants in Buena Park, Fullerton and even La Mirada/La Habra, it's always good to have options. read more

One star. I am extremely disappointed and upset. I brought my friend here because this used to be my favorite chicken spot. We ordered a lot of chicken, trusting it would be safe, but there was no allergen information anywhere. No signs. No warnings. Nothing. The pepper crispy had peanut in it with no indication at all. My friend has a peanut allergy and ended up having an allergic reaction. His throat became irritated and started closing up. This is not just careless. In many states this can be considered a health violation because restaurants are required to give accurate allergen information and not mislead customers about ingredients. This could have turned into a medical emergency. This completely broke my trust. read more

Went here with a group of 6 friends and we got the UFO fried rice galbi flavored, Large Soy Garlic Wings, Medium Original Wings, and the Honey Butter Waffle Fries! Food Overall- 4.5/5 The wings I'd give a 5/5! They were all super juicy and tender. The soy garlic wings were good but not as fresh as the original wings that came out a bit after. I dipped the original wings in the remainder sauce from the soy garlic wings. The Galbi flavored fried rice was quite yummy and flavorful and thought it was very worth it for its price! I'd give it a 4.5/5. The fries were just ok. It wasn't that hot or fresh by the time it came out and the powder wasn't super evenly coated. It was just kinda scooped on. 2/5 Service 1/5 - The service was what I'd knock off the most points for cause it was not very good. We originally waited outside for a bigger table but they asked us if we wanted to sit outside but never offered us the table until we went inside to ask again. Once we sat down, we had to go to the front to ask for menus ourselves, to ask for the check ourselves, etc. The waitress just never came to our table unless it was to drop off the food. We waited around 20-25 minutes for the chicken and when we ordered another order afterwards, it took 20-25 minutes again. They're not rude. They're just not very observant or helpful. Overall, the food is great and definitely worth trying! Just keep in mind, the service is quite lacking and slow so you may need to take initiative to grab their attention. read more

This has to be my new favorite Korean fried chicken place. This place is different from others because they oven cook their chicken. I got the volcano pizza and medium honey butter wings. The wings were NOT dry at all and the seasoning was very tasty. The seasoning wasn't too salty as well. The pizza wasn't too spicy and had corn, chicken, and cheese toppings. I wasn't too much of a fan of the pizza but the crust of the pizza was very good. The pizza is very big and shareable, so I recommend this if eating in with a big group of people. Was very surprised at how amazing oven roasted wings tasted and tasted nothing like rotisserie chicken. Each wing and drumstick was large, flavorful, and juicy. Favorites were original, sweet and spicy, pepper, volcano. They give complimentary mixed salad which was also great. Definitely new favorite wing spot. Service was quick and kind. Came on a Friday night at 7 for 5 people and just came in time for it to have no wait but got filled shorty after. We ordered the ultimate UFO which has 2 flavors of chicken and cheese tteokbokki. Tteokbokki was probably the worst I've ever had as it was super watery and only had like 6 pieces of tteok(rice cake). The pepper crunch chicken had a nice flavor but sweet and spicy was kind of packet/artificial tasting. Also got soy garlic wings that had a bit of a burnt garlic flavor which was disappointing since that's usually my fav flavor. Galbi fried rice was also a miss because it tastes similar to Costco fried rice and even had the same vegetables too so a little sus. Worst part is that it took 45 mins to get our food! Not even the rice came first so we were just getting refills on the salad. This place maybe be an option if u want a healthier alternative to fried chicken, but if you're gonna get chicken save yourself the trip and stick with fried lol. read more

Korean fried chicken has a special place in my heart. It's just so different, so flavorful, and fun to eat! Goobne is such a good chain for entering into the KFC (Korean fried chicken) game! Always go for spicy and the soy garlic. Easily the best and safest options. KFC gets pretty expensive so make sure you get all the meat! The radish acts as a pretty solid palate cleaner. The food was delicious here! We got quite a few things to share. I highly recommend the baguette bowl. That was probably one of my favorite dishes. I just love how decadent it is. It's rich and tasty! The garlic and butter was just perfection. I also enjoyed the waffle fries and onion rings with their sauce. The sauce tasted a little sweet and vinegary. For wings, we got soy garlic, sweet & spicy, and pepper crispy wings -bone in! I really liked the soy garlic and sweet & spicy. Both great flavoring. The pepper crispy was just okay for me, but maybe because I don't feel strongly for that flavor. I love that they are oven baked. The wings also came with pickled radish! They also gave us a salad to start off with. They were able to let us seat outside, which is what we preferred. Food took a little while to come out so just anticipate that. Goobne chicken is one of the best restaurant in Fullerton, California. The pepper crispy 고추바사삭 chicken is one of the best chicken your can eat. The entire chicken is never fried but oven roasted. This is one of my favorite food to eat. Its so healthy and completely protein. I'm a big fan of Goobne Chicken. The owner is beautiful person with good heart minded. Everyone knows about KFC. And when I say KFC I always and only ever mean Korean fried chicken. But Korean ROASTED chicken? That's new for me and I'll try almost anything once. Especially chicken. The girl working the counter seemed new, and was not able to answer all my questions about the menu. Her table service was slow but she was very sweet. Pepper Crispy Wings. Skip for me. This was more black peppery than it was Chinese salt and peppery which is what I thought the photo depicted. It was also not quite as crispy as I was hoping it would be. Original Wings. Not bad, just a clean, honest roasted wing. Soy Garlic Wings. A Korean classic. These were good, a little sweet, but probably the most crowd-pleasing option we tried here. Galbi Rice Bowl. Surprisingly good. Meat was super juicy and tender. The galbi marinade was a little on the sweet side for me. There was a slight smokiness in there too which was nice. We got a side of the volcano sauce, which definitely had a kick to it. Does fill the inner void in me that yearns for fried chicken? No. But is it a good option for when I don't want that guilt? Decided to try this place bc of a post on Instagram. It's cool to know that this place is actually a chain in Korea, so we definitely wanted to give it a try. The wings are oven baked, yet still crispy. Wings are also super juicy! I love wings so this really hit the spot! We opted for the Pepper Crispy and Galbi flavors and the Baguette Bowl. The baguette bowl reminds me of a pastry from 85* Bakery. It's a small intimate restaurant and you can also passively order to go in the front. Very easy to find and lots of parking available. The pork was really tender and absorbed all the mixed flavors very nicely. The rice that got mixed in with all the leftover soup at the end was also so flavorful. I especially liked that they topped it with seaweed flakes to add an extra umami kick to it.

Their signature dish is samgyetang. The broth is rich and deeply flavorful, and it has that comforting, nourishing taste. It's especially great when you're feeling under the weather. The galbitang is also very good. Looking at the menu, it seems like prices haven't increased much over the past few years. Compared to other Korean restaurants nearby, it's definitely more affordable. Service was decent overall.

It ended up being a lean beef that was so tender it melts in your mouth, it was fantastic! I guess the lean beef compliments the reduced fat/clearer broth for a healthier meal. Where as the brisket version above that will have the even more delicious briskets with some fat for max enjoyment, I guess. Either way, the clearer broth impressed even my wife who doesn't like regular Sullungtang, so it's that clean tasting. My boy also loved it. 2 orders fed us 3:) And the awesome radish kimchi, of course a match made in heaven with the soup. I'll try the brisket version next time to see if that gets even better:)

I think I've been converted. I don't think I've really had good authentic katsu before. The chicken lady was light, tender combined with the grounded sesame sauce? It is something you need to try if you have yet to do so. The katsu meal itself ($17.95) with the combo (+$7 which includes either kimchi udon, or soba, Tuna roll) iis big on it's own. Also, the shaved cabbage salad is a great compliment to the meal. I'll be back with the family to check out the other offerings here. One downside, the space is tight, so strollers and wheelchairs won't be a comfy fit. However, there were littles here around 7 pm for dinner. All in all, is highly recommend Yoko Donkatsu.
