Good Stuff is always a favorite. The food is always great. We recently took an out-of-town guest for a bite to eat. When we were initially seated we quickly realized that the level of noise inside the restaurant would be an issue for my husband. He has sensitive hearing. Our server was so kind to move us out to the sidewalk patio even though no one else was seated out there. He went out of his way to provide awesome service with a smile. We had a wonderful time. Okay so I like this place and their food. But good lord is it disorganized. Arrive at 11:00 on a Saturday. Quoted a 10 min wait, After 30 min I finally talk the hostess into seating us. She had walked away from the podium and stopped stating everyone. We're sat. For 15 min no server arrives at the table. I have to get up and ask for someone to take our order. They do. 30 min after ordering... no food whatsoever. We arrived at 11. And it took nearly 90 minutes to get a plate of eggs. The place was busy, but honestly it seemed like a function of the FOH staff being distracted and inconsistent. They just seemed to ignore whole sections of the restaurant, and neglected doing things like taking orders, filling coffee, dropping checks etc. I'll say that this was an outlier and I usually like really like this restaurant. I'll still go back. But hopefully someone in management or ownership sees this and tightens things up, because it was honestly one of the most disorganized dining experiences I've had. read more

Visited this quaint restaurant while in LA. It was about 6 mins from our hotel. So glad we made the trip here. The workers were very welcoming and helpful. We were seated immediately. I ordered the chicken nachos, and my husband had the waffle breakfast. My husband is very particular about his food and he ate everything, leaving a clean plate. I opted for the nachos since the table picture looked delicious. The picture didn't do this dish justice. My nachos were much bigger than the picture and loaded with cheese, guacamole, chicken and tortilla chips. The chicken was tender and appeared to be sauteed in Mexican spices and salsa. Most Mexican restaurants use dry chicken breast for nachos but not Good Stuff. Plan to come back whenever we are in town. Found a new breakfast Eatery near the beach. read more

Came here for take out. I needed to satisfy my Belgian Waffle craving. This place really did hit the spot when it comes to the waffle. It was made perfectly, crisp on the outside and soft in the inside topped with their vermont maple syrup. I also got a side of bacon, it was about 3 and a half slices...not top notch quality imo but pretty good, not too crisp but not very chewy either. My quick breakfast meal came out to $13/14. Tried this place out while on a quick trip to LA. We arrived around 7:30a and were sat quickly. Seemed like prefect timing since it started to get busy shortly after. The food was great we ordered the huevos rancheros, California omelet, and the French toast. Our whole party of 6 enjoyed their meals. The coffee is also great! Definitely a must try. The only reason for the 4 star review is due to the server forgetting one of our coffee's and took a few minutes to get it while everyone else had already gotten their drink. Went to our first indoor dining restaurant here in El Segundo. I ordered a Loco Moco. Since I am a vegetarian I subbed the meat patty for a veggie patty... and it did not disappoint!! The gravy is nice and creamy, and tastes so good with the egg( I ordered egg white) the patty is soft and has a great taste. I probably would have preferred an impossible patty if there was an option. The rice might have been a little mushy, I'm used to eating Loco Moco with Japanese rice. However, I really enjoyed my meal!! I would recommend coming to The good stuff! The menu has a wide variety to choose from and the indoor is open for dining!! read more

What a nice spot for breakfast. I would imagine it gets crowded but not today. Was able to get a table on the side patio with lots of space and no one near. They were very sweet and cleaned the table well for me before I was seated. Nice service. I was just craving a simple benny and it was good portion and nice prices. Perfect poach. Lovely and mellow place for breakfast and they have a bunch of tables on the sidewalk, great for current situation. Huge menu with lots of selections. I really like this part of Downtown El Segundo. My sons and I went for breakfast. My son ordered Mickey Mouse pancakes and they were hard and dry so we asked to return them. The manager gave a hard time saying they never had anyone complain about their pancakes. Arguing and trying to prove me wrong is poor management, service and we will never go back again after frequenting this place for years. Awful experience and this manager may want more customer service experience before putting her on the most busy shift. read more

So I have been here a few times before and most recently went for breakfast on a Sunday morning at 10ish. There's a parking lot, which I don't remember being there, but it was nice and convenient. The place was already packed and the wait was 20 mins for the 7 of us. This place is like a better quality Denny's. There is a variety of breakfast and lunch foods, that includes healthy items like egg whites and brown rice. But at the same time, they don't have lattes - just coffee. One good thing is they seat you even if your whole party is not there. They sat us four, while we waited for the other three. We got our drinks first and when our friends got there we ordered our food. I didn't know but the waitress stopped by a few times to take our order, but we were busy talking. When we finally did order, it felt like the food took forever, but the place was super busy. I got the Jonathan's Breakfast which was 4 egg whites, grilled chicken, black beans and pico de gallo - not the most tasty but healthy. Overall staff is nice and they keep your coffee refilled. I had just arrived into LAX on a red-eye flight and was feeling pretty hungry as....believe it or not....I didn't get to eat on my first class flight because they ran out of the meal I wanted. So my friend who picked me up from the airport did some yelp'ing and we found this place kind of on the way home. This place was exactly what we were looking for! Not too crowded (well, when we got there at 8am, but got much busier soon after), easy parking (free parking at garage right next door), good food, and excellent friendly service. We came here for some egg breakfast so can't really comment about the other menu items, but everything looked like healthier fare....noticed there were lots of salads to choose from. So, we decided to share an order of the California Omelette (without the bacon).....with a side of mixed fresh fruits and sourdough toast, and the Greek To Me Omelette.....with hash brown potatoes, sourdough toast, and a separate side order of the chicken link sausages. The omelettes were delicious.....enjoyed the California omelette very much....and those hash brown potatoes! Not the usual thinly grated potatoes that you find at Denny's, but bigger strips, and so perfectly grilled with its soft and fluffy inside and lightly crisp golden brown outside. The Greek To Me omelette was good too, but a bit too much of a salty punch from the olives.....the chicken sausages were also pretty good, but a bit on the salty side. Overall, enjoyed this early (for me) morning breakfast at this nice little cafe. Our gorgeous server, Janine, is such a wonderfully nice and friendly server and person, and made us very satisfied with this first time visit here. read more
