The Resturant has both street parking and parking lot next door. We came on a Friday mid day with no wait. This location has both in door and outdoor tables. Good stuff is good for breakfast and lunch and has a menu with something for just about every diet Vegan, Veggie,Keto, diabetic friendly etc. I enjoyed a California omelet and this three egg was to much to finish. There was no problem or charges to sub chicken for pork. Food was good but coffee was a bit bitter even a fresh pot.( I never use cream or sugar so black better be good since the flavor is not covered). The muffin of the day was pineapple which is ok. Today an English muffin or toast would be the better choice. Togo is in plastic which can not be microwaved. Enjoy read more

Really enjoyed this cute spot in downtown El Segundo. There was plenty of street parking which is clutch in LA. Jesus was my server and very attentive. I ordered the huevos rancheros and was happily surprised that my fried over medium eggs were exactly that. I actually prefer over easy to medium but places tend to overcook so I expected a medium / hard experience so it was great to cut into the eggs and see the delicious running yolk encased within the cooked eggs. Pico de gallo was excellent and they had a great selection of hot sauces. Coffee was bottomless and much needed after a long travel day. read more

I love a consistent, healthy restaurant just steps away from home. Both dining in and takeout have been great experiences with friendly service and an efficient kitchen. For a special treat, I like dining in and sitting outside so I can enjoy the sunshine and people watching in this cute small town. I like their carne asada and eggs plate no matter the time of day. After being seated, no one came to our table for a solid 20 minutes. We had to ask someone to fund us a waiter, who then failed to bring us water when we asked (someone else had to). We also had to ask multiple times to get our other drinks. Our waiter only stopped by very infrequently. I ordered the vegan tofu scramble, which was decent, but they gave me flour tortillas instead of corn, which is not good for a gluten free gal. In the area craving some breakfast foods, I was hesitant going here because I didn't not have a very good experience in the Redondo location. I recommend this place a lot more. Ehh... Nothing special about this place. In fact, makes me question the validity of the Yelp reviews and how this spot managed to get above average. The food was bland and service was even weaker. We came here on a Sunday during brunch hours, I got a crab Benedict with a side of hash browns while my husband got a burger. Unless you like your food lacking flavor (I mean, there was not even a trace of salt or pepper), this spot is mediocre at best. I had to get the attention of four different employee just to get ketchup and a utensil. And the girl working the register was real immature to be servicing the front - kept laughing at patrons for no apparent reason while seeming confused on how to take payments (scratches head w/confused look on my face). The energy here is not a vibe, 10/10 wouldn't recommend. read more

History

Established in 1979.

Good Stuff Restaurants's history began with Cris Bennett, who worked as a busboy and had big dreams. In 1979, Cris' dreams became real. He and his father started the first Good Stuff restaurant: a little burger place in West L.A. It was a hit, everybody loved to eat at Good Stuff. Soon he expanded to Hermosa Beach, making his second success. Time passed, and the cities of Redondo Beach, El Segundo, and Palos Verdes were all given a Good Stuff establishment. While each of the Good Stuff locations are different, they have the same core values of great service, tasty food, and healthy options. Our theme is consistent: we offer Good Stuff. Cris Bennett pursued his passion for hospitality at the University of Denver, earning a business degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management. Driven by his childhood dream of owning a restaurant, he turned that vision into reality—now proudly operating four thriving locations. For over 45 years, Cris has built Good Stuff Restaurants into a South Bay institution, known for delicious food, warm hospitality, and a commitment to health-conscious dining. Following a red-eye flight to Los Angeles, I recently visited Good Stuff Restaurant in El Segundo. The restaurant is situated at the corner of Grand and Richmond. I opted for the California omelette. Made with cage-free eggs, it featured a perfect blend of applewood smoked bacon, creamy avocado, earthy mushrooms, and melted jack cheese. The omelette was served with crispy hashbrowns and two delicious strawberry and Oreo muffins. Served warm, the strawberry and Oreo combination created a perfect balance of sweetness. The muffin exterior had a slight crispness, giving way to a moist and tender interior. The breakfast menu offers a diverse range, from classic eggs benedict to the tempting cinnamon roll french toast. For health-conscious diners, they have options like the vegan tofu scramble and beach body omelette. The loco moco, a Hawaii island favorite, was also a delightful surprise. The anytime lunch or dinner menu is equally impressive, covering everything from street tacos to burgers and more. The restaurant boasts a clean, casual, and bright atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. The service was fast, friendly, and the portions were generous. I lucked out with street parking, but there's also a convenient lot adjacent to the restaurant. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Good Stuff is a must-visit. I dont live in El Segundo but I happen to be here. We walked in and the hostess greeted us with a smile but was direct. She told us it would be a 15 minute wait. Really it only 10 minutes. They left us with coffee and water. When we were called in, we were seated in a booth. Very quickly our waitress, Tessa greeted us. She asked what we wanted to drink. I just wanted water but my sister's wanted Apple juice. My mom got a bloody Mary, she said it was okay, not great. My sisters also got those kids coloring pages. Then we ordered. I got the traditional burger with brioche, chedder chese, and onions; no tomatoes. We also got the special 3(chilaquiles), the carne asada breakfast, the Mac and cheese, and the french toast. The burger was good but not great; it was well done but I didn't request it to my liking. She didn't ask. The waitress came with a plate of chilli burritos instead of the chilaquiles. Tessa said she heard chilli burrito instead of chilaquiles. It's okay though because the chilaquiles came soon after. My mom said they were good. Also the carne asada was seasoned well. My sister got the Mac and cheese, she said it was fine. My other sister got the French toast. She said it was good. Overall the was.... good stuff (haha) I guess but a bit pricey. read more

If i could give 0 stars i would. Wait staff was terribly rude. Several walked past without acknowledging us. When i had to get up to ask for just a glass of water, the (i don't even know if "wait staff" is the correct term since no one actually seemed to be doing anything on task but talking with each other) I'll just call them the "people wearing black shirts with a blue text" or "pwbswabt" for short, anyway the pwbswabt still did not a thing to even pretend to get water or any type of food. I spoke with the manager who had nothing but vague excuses and everyone knows that excuses are just tools of the incompetent that build monuments of nothingness. Save an hour out of your day and skip this place. So easy to get food in LA and actually get food and not just a view of pwbswabt socializing with their older male customers for a tip. The ladies at Sam's Hofbrau are actually more dignified in their pursuit of the tip. Hope this saves someone the pain of having to lose their morning and not even getting a glass of water. read more

My husband and I have enjoyed Good Stuff for years in all of their locations! Today we dined in El Segundo. First off free parking! That's nice especially for a beach community. Next was the friendly and accommodating service. Right when you walk in the door you feel welcomed. This feeling continues thru the dining experience. The restaurant really feels like it is part of the community. Staff seemed to know just about everyone dining there. My husband tried the Buffalo and Quinoa and absolutely loved it. My girl and I like coming here on Sundays for brunch. The service is always great, and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive every time we come in. The food is consistently good, the portions are solid, and the prices are very reasonable compared to a lot of places nearby. The pancakes were oddly eggy and didn't taste like pancakes at all. As for the hash browns, I didn't realize hash browns could taste bad, but these were mushy and almost slimy. Half of them were heavily seasoned, while the other half was bland. Even the ketchup didn't help because it only made them mushier. Overall, the server was nice, but I wouldn't come back here for the food.
