I love this place! We've been coming to Good Stuff for a couple years now, and I can't recall ever having a bad experience. Everyone here is super nice and helpful. The food is just great. They have several dietary options, including GF and Keto. There's even a pooch menu for when you breakfast with your 4 legged friend (patio dining only). You can easily make substitutions for dietary needs or personal preferences. We usually never wait very long for a table when there's a waitlist, and I have even gotten a cup of coffee while waiting, with no pushback or snark. The food is affordable, tasty, unique, and the service is stellar. Special shout out to Gina! She is bubbly, spunky, super friendly, helpful for substitution needs, accurate, and has never botched our order. Please give this girl a raise! I was looking online for a new spot to have brunch and found Good Stuff. I brought my client here and didn't wait long to be seated, or rather at all. I had expected it to be pretty packed, but was happy to see it wasn't. Place was lively, but not too noisy, which was great since my client gets very anxious in loud and busy places. Our server, Gustavo, was attentive, patient and happy to help as he served us with a smile -- thank you Gus! Everything looked, smelled and tasted delicious and fresh! I enjoyed the meal, but the customer service not so much. I was greeted and given the option to sit anywhere. I chose the bar top since I was alone to save the table area for larger groups (they was a good amount of ppl there). The server asked me if I had more people joining me then told me I couldnt sit at the bar. When he asked what I wanted, he breezed through the items. I asked for pork substitutes and he quickly rattled off something. Shortly afterwards, a couple sat at the bar by and was served by someone else. My food came out quickly and was good with healthy portions and I was able to substitute items! The other staff I observed were friendly and seemed to take more time with their customers. I even observed a trainee with customers and she mentioned the vibe being better here than other places she's worked. When I finished dining, I mentioned to a host the situation at the bar and she said its because the staff works at a different location usually. That explains the bar seat, but not the mediocre customer service. I felt rushed to order, rushed to eat and rushed to leave. Not a good first time experience or impression of Cali. The location, covid friendly seating arrangements and food were all good, but I also appreciate quality customer service and that was missing here! read more

I only had the breakfast burrito to go so can't comment on other aspects of the restaurant and gave benefit of the doubt with 3 stars but the breakfast burrito was one of the worst I've ever had. Wilted iceberg lettuce, overdone eggs, little bits of bacon and a tasteless pico de gallo. If that doesn't sound appetizing, it wasn't. Even the salsa on the side, which can be a saving grace, was a chunky run of the mill cantina style salsa. If you're looking for a satisfying breakfast burrito before work, after a surf, post workout... this is not it. read more

I'm a weekly regular at the El Segundo location. My favorite location is Hermosa Beach. I've been to the Redondo beach location as well. The El Segundo staff is great. They're really nice guys but only one of them gets our order correct. It's a running joke for our group. But more importantly the food is not the same quality as the other 2 locations. Often orders are wrong and/or cold. Sometimes the hash browns have tasted like they've been sitting on a grill for hours. The cheese on the top of the omelettes will come off in one big processed slice of yuck. Today my friend ordered over medium eggs and got scrambled eggs. She didn't say anything because she just doesn't. She ate them. We don't send our food back because we're on a schedule but I've told them on occasion that the food isn't consistently good. Last time I was told the cook was out of town and they had a replacement. It's too bad. I think the staff tries really hard but the kitchen may be the issue. You would think we'd go somewhere else but we like the guys and the menu is diverse. They just need some training in the kitchen please. read more

On my birthday, especially, I like to hear the word "Yes." (Particularly if it's followed by "Queen," but I know that's a lot to ask of a restaurant I've never been to before.) So when we pulled up to Good Stuff for brunch, and spotted a perfect table under the loquat tree, in the El Segundo sea breeze, we were told that, Yes! We were welcome to sit there. When we asked our amazing waiter, Gustavo, if they had vegetarian options, Yes. Gluten Free, Yes. (We weren't TRYING to be difficult--it comes naturally to us with our bevy of dietary preferences and restrictions.) Gustavo brought us more water, more coffee, more warmth and friendliness and eventually our array of lovely gluten free, meat-free, but highly flavorFUL orders. What struck me (i had the veggie burger on a brioche bun) was the Freshness of the ingredients. It's kinda easy to make a mediocre veggie burger. THIS was a masterpiece. Another yes. Coupled with sweet potato fries, it was perfectly yummy. My mom was happy with her chicken tacos. Hubs really liked his burger (which he had to eat with a knife and fork because it was so generously portioned). Picky (wonderful) daughter really liked her veggie tacos. If Gustavo's hospitality were no reason enough to return to Good Stuff, the fresh, flavorful food would be! It's definitely a Yes from this birthday queen! read more

Breakfast served all day every day, woo hoo! We got an order of Applewood smoked bacon, two eggs, and chef potatoes. This is a nice choice if you want to go the classic breakfast way in getting your bacon and eggs. The potatoes tasted good and the bacon was really yummy. Another recommendation is the classic Skillet Scramble, which comes with eggs, bacon, sausage, peppers, mushrooms, chef potatoes with cheese. You can have your choice of toast or muffins. I was kind of bummed they didn't have their blueberry muffins (it's different throughout the week) so I opted for the toast instead. Everything tasted great. Dab some Tabasco on that and you're good to go (the eggs, I mean LOL). Prices are decent. Service is friendly. I love the choices on the menu. Great delicious food! There's street parking available. This is an updated review. I went back with my friend and it was a totally different experience. Our server was a woman this time and i think she may have been the manager. I have been a customer for many years. I understand the COVID-19 Era constraints and I sympathize. Please clean your tables! I have Clorox and alcohol wipes with me, for obvious reasons, and server just complained that I am staining the tables. My wipes look black with dirt and grease after I use them on tables. Please. No manager even bothered to address the issue. Then I get ignored by everyone when sitting outside because I complained about dirty tables. This is not the Good Stuff I know. read more

I was asked by a fellow Yelper - "Was it really Good Stuff?" And my honest answer was "Yes" :) We just moved to the area & happen to stumble onto this establishment, of course I couldn't make up my mind where I wanted to sit and hubby's cellphone kept blowing up!! We were starving and everyone that knows me is aware of my "restricted diet" needs (I won't bore those of you who don't know or care about me...lol) With that said, for being a quaint little diner, it's menu does offer more choices for the healthy conscious & for those of us that can't eat meat. I had the Thin Dish Veggie Stuffie & hubby had his burger. Both were delicious and service was fast. Seems to be popular w/the locals as it started to fill up and had people waiting to get a table. They serve beer and wine too :) Well we liked it and probably plan on going back more often, these are the kind of small diners we love to eat at. There is a parking structure behind this restaurant. It is free and large and almost always half empty. Been here twice and Good Stuff has good stuff that is a good safe place to go. This is not a bad choice as your default place to go in this area. Ordered the Barramundi plate and it was good, though not memorable. Loco Moco was very good and satisfying. Like comfort food satisfying. Ceasar salad was very very good. Prices seem just a tad bit pricey, but if they keep churning out good safe comfort food, I'll keep coming back. read more

Had the California Quesadilla. It was decent. Wished it was more seasoned and the mushrooms had more flavor. Came with cheese, mushrooms, avocado, pico de gallo, bacon and sour cream. Thought it was kind of pricey. Came out to 16 bucks for just the quesadilla and an iced tea. Although the food was kind of bland the service was very professional and attentive. They had very comfy seats (booth). Pros: + Great staff + Comfy Seating + Loco Moco is decent + Tuna Melt Cons: - Pricey for the quality - Bloody Mary *Came back and had their Loco Moco, which was also decent. It's a a hamburger patty served with rice, topped with a fried egg and smothered in gravy. Though most of the ingredients on their own were a bit bland (rice & burger patty) the gravy that everything is smothered in did a good job to make the dish enjoyable. I would order this one again. * Update 8/12/16 Tried their Breakfast Carnitas Tacos. Thought they were ok. Just carnitas, eggs and cilantro. Some cheese and sour cream would have gone a long way to make this dish more enjoyable. Although I gave one of the tacos to a friend and he thought it was really good and enjoyed it, so I guess it depends on the person. *Update 1/17/18 Tried their Chicken Chile Verde Breakfast Burrito. Not bad, kind of bland. Wouldn't reorder. *Update 3/23/18 Had their Tuna Melt today with chicken tortilla soup and a bloody mary. Tuna Melt was good. Years ago, I used to go to the Good Stuff location in Manhattan Beach. I am a big fan of "brunching" so I always enjoyed the variety of egg and brunch type offerings. Recently, I was looking for a "lunch" spot to meet a colleague in El Segundo and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that there was a Good Stuff location in "downtown" El Segundo. Great location, wonderful service and the same-ish reliably tasty type of brunch options. It's nothing too fancy (and perhaps a wee-bit pricey for what it is), but it really hit the spot. A vegetarian perspective: The good - Vegan Tofu Scramble, not as good was what I make at home, but not too many places serve tofu scrambles in the South Bay (that I know of). A big positive. I ordered with salsa on the side, next time I'll skip the salsa and put on hot sauce, more to my taste. - When you order a burger there are multiple good options vs. getting fries, including vegetarian chili. "Opportunity to improve" - No vegetarian 'meat' options for breakfast. Not sure why no veggie sausage, veggie chorizo, or other choice. Anyway, food was good, service was extremely attentive (coffee cup never empty, very important) and friendly, parking garage next door (Free!), and El Segundo main street a nice walk afterwards. read more

The Good Stuff is more than just good! You get that hometown feel and great food. The service is even better. Gustavo is a rockstar. I walked in (Sunday, February 12, 2023), and was immediately escorted to the bar. Such a cute beach vibe. 5 minutes later a warm cup of coffee was provided and my food came out in less than 30 minutes -wow. The only draw back is I heard a supervisor bark at one of the waiters. My heart hurt and stomach cringed when I heard this supervisor (female) speak this way to her direct reports (shameful). read more

At recommendation of a friend, I came upon this place on a Sunday morning after picking up someone from LAX. At 10 AM this place was already packed. Somehow was able to find outdoor seating after a 15 minute wait. They had complimentary water and coffee outside albeit with limited seating. After being seated at an outdoor table, I glanced the menu and wow! The menu is extensive. In short time I chose the chili verde burrito and a cup of coffee. Coffee is meh, generic half and half creamer, no flavors. They did offer mimosas and beer on the menu, but I was in a hurry plus I'd be driving home in LA traffic. No thanks. Burrito turned out pretty okay, but nowhere on the menu did it mention it was wet style. This is a non-issue to me, but for others that like being able to hold a burrito in their hands, this could be a blocker. Or maybe it's not, maybe there are actually people out there that like to hold wet burritos with their hand, I dunno. To each their own right? In any case, I had an overall stellar experience and I was in and out of there within 30 minutes. On Sunday brunch hour, that's pretty good if you ask me. read more
