So it's been a while since I bought tires -which they gave us a great deal at the time. Better than Sams club.l pricing! But we recently got an oil change for our Chevy Tahoe using the $49 coupon. Service was quick ended up paying a little over the coupon amount due to the amount of oil our truck used..no biggie just $9bux ish. I called about getting a tire changed. The guy confirmed they had the tire and I asked if I could bring it and get it changed at that time and he said yes to bring it on in and they'll do it. I get there 5 minutes later and they tell me it'll be 2 hours because they just got a bunch of 1oclock appts dropped off and since tire changes are free they push services that are free back for services they get paid for! I told him I JUST called and was told they could do it right now and he said that was before they got a bunch of cars dropped off -- I was already on my way when I called! Not cool. read more

Don't have Goodyear evaluate a problem with your car AC. They charge over 200 dollars for the evaluation but they don't try to repair it. They just refer you to the dealer even for a leak in the system. They absolutely should advise customers that they only evaluate and don't repair! read more

When I got fed up with taking my car to the dealership, I tried out Goodyear, since they're walking distance from my workplace. Boy am I glad that I did! They're always very courteous, efficient, and it's easy to get an appointment. As soon as they've looked at my car, they're great about calling me to communicate any additional concerns they may have found, even when doing something as routine as an oil change (one of their checks showed that my battery wasn't cranking at the recommended specification). Goodyear puts coupons in the paper from time to time, but being forgetful, I never have a coupon on me when I go to pick up my car. If you ask nicely and there's a deal, they're really good about applying any coupons they may have for you. And if you think Goodyear is just for tires, think again. I've had oil changes, brake jobs, they've explored the cause of my "check engine" light coming on...pretty much everything but tire maintenance! Thanks guys!! I don't stay to wait for my car servicing, but if you do, there are reclining massage chairs (hey, maybe I should stay sometime just for that!) and a tv off in the far corner of the shop, and it's nicely air conditioned. I took my car in one lunch break for an oil change, walked over to a great eatery nearby (see my review of "Over Easy"), and before I could even finish my meal, I got a call letting me know that my car was ready for pick up! That's another good thing about Goodyear--it's really close to several banks, Whole Foods, Longs, a bunch of great restaurants, so you have plenty of options if you don't want to sit in a massage chair while you wait for your car. read more

I came in here because I needed a tire repaired from having a nail stuck in it, causing a slow leak. I had called the Waialae Goodyear location beforehand, and was told by someone there it costs $30 to fix it, but decided to take my car the Kailua location instead since I worked in the area. Here I was helped by Ronnie, and this 5 star review is well deserved. He took my car in, told me the estimated time (about 4-5 hours), which was fine because I worked nearby. Yes, I made an online appointment and after adjusting my work schedule I get a call the DAY OF SERVICE saying that they cant accept me because of the over booking. Ok if this is not working for your business then remove it from the web. 3 stars are actually for their service which was way under the time that was expected. Great price and good value. Imagine a big box tire shop where they remember your, name, and your vehicle, and do their best to provide great prices WITH local hospitality and charm. Appearance: its a tire shop and gets pretty busy so it's as clean as it could possibly be. Employees: all helpful and always try their best to be accommodating. The absolute worst. I scheduled an appointment online , changed my work schedule and they canceled at 5 the night before. Also they don't diagnose anything, whatever the system you're inquiring about their only solutions is to just replace every part at the maximum charge regardless of what's wrong. I know nothing about cars. Funnily enough, neither does my husband, so imagine our surprise when we both noticed an odd alert on the dashboard of his car signaling that his right rear tire was low on air. Of course, our natural reaction was to visit the closest gas station to pump it up. However, even after doing so, the alert didn't go away, so we decided to recruit the professionals. Goodyear is conveniently located in the "heart" of Kailua Town. If you're coming via the Pali, it'll be on your left past Kalapawai Deli & Cafe, but if you're coming via Oneawa, it'll be on your right past the Texaco Gas Station. When my husband took our car in at 7AM the next morning, he was only the second in line and was promptly assisted.The verdict was that there was a nail in the tire that unfortunately could not be patched due to its placement (something about it being too close to the actual rim or what not) so we agreed to purchase a new tired for about $100+. After that, the alert had disappeared and our car was driving smoothly enough until about a week or so later when the alert had reappeared,and after we had left an appointment, my husband randomly went to check the tire. Sure enough, it had flattened considerably. After we had pumped the tire to at least be able to drive it back into Kailua, we were again assisted--at no charge--and what they had come to find was that it was the actual valve that was either loose or broken, which was why air was continually seeping out of the tire. Fortunately, we haven't had a problem since and the car is back to its regular, smooth drive. Overall, I enjoy the convenience and the professionalism of Goodyear in Kailua and would definitely visit again if there are any car issues we come across in the future. read more

I'm sorry but I'be worked in a tire shop for 4 years before so I've fixed multiple flat tires with a plug and patch. You can't fix a nail in the sidewall of a tire but you can in the tread of the tire. So tell me does this puncture look like it's in the sidewall? I took their word for it so they replaced the tire before I I could see the location of the puncture. In addition they changed oil but didn't post sticker or reset maintenance light. read more

so I took my 2016 Subaru wrx in for 2 front tiers and they wouldn't put them on unless I bought a whole set of four so I ended up spending $1,000 dollars for 4 new tiers and the warranty on them. Just a few mounths later I noticed one of my lug nuts had snapped off so I checked the rest of them and sure enough there were 2 more that they had over tightened so much that they snapped right off. i couldn't believe after spending a thousand dollars they would do such shorty work. so I took the car back and no to mention how rude they were they wouldn't honor the warranty which I had paid an extra $150 for in case something like this had happened these guys are terrible. Do not take your car there terrible service and extremely expensive.!! read more

Completely useless "service center." Sent my wife over with her car to get an alignment after she got off work. Made an appointment online for 3:30pm. She gets there and the technician goes and checks her car out and takes it for a test drive. Comes back and says an alignment would be a waste of time, its not the problem. So I ask my wife over the phone to have them put her car up on the rack and do their "free alignment check" and they refuse to do that because all the technicians leave at 4pm. How do all the technicians leave at 4pm yet the center is open until 7pm? That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! My wife then shared we had made an appointment for 3:30pm online and they need to honor that. The technician claims the online system doesn't work and she shouldn't use that. She then asks if she can make an appointment for next week to bring it in and the guy says "nah just call the day you want to bring it in." Now we've lived here for a while and understand the Hawaiian feel to everything, but with an alignment that takes ~1 hour you should have to make an appointment. So along with that my problem is, I've done my research on the problems my wife's car is having and have checked everything myself and determined an alignment is the problem and should fix the the problem. They wouldn't even perform a free check to let me know whether I was correct or not. Never coming back here, I'll take my car to either Sears Auto Center or Firestone before I return to a Goodyear Auto Service Center. I recommend you do the same. read more

I bought the 3-year alignment program. I called before to schedule an appointment on not their busy times, and they told me to bring in early morning. I went a little bit early and my car was serviced ahead of my scheduled time. They rotate mounted tires and wheel balance with no charge. The job done so fast on my wheel alignment. I've never had any customer service issues at Goodyear, they always were considerate and helpful. I will definitely have my car serviced at Goodyear again. read more

So had a flat tire and needed to get to a tire center fast since it was after 4pm. Since I live in town and work in Kailua, I needed to take care of it right away since I start work early the next morning. Went to Goodyear in Kailua, which were closing soon at 5pm but they kindly accepted the job. Result? Great experience! Got a good tire at a reasonable price. I've been very patient and incredibly understanding, but three weeks later, my car is still awaiting parts. I was quoted 3-5 days; the first part arrived on time & was installed, however it was damaged in transit (paid $150 extra for expedited shipping, too). They then told me it would take another couple days to get a replacement- I understand hiccups. Four days later, I call em back to check on the status, part hasn't arrived yet. They give me an eta of a couple more days... No car for 10 days sucks, especially when rental cars in Honolulu are about $100/day- I'm getting frustrated, but that was 10 days ago. We are now starting week 3 with no eta, no call backs (we've been promised, but they forget), and no car. read more

Then when I showed up on time for my appointment the guy actually said, "we don't honor online appointments for this location, we meant to cancel you earlier but forgot." And they refused to take me even though my appointment had this location listed and everything. I suspect the guy was just trying to leave work early and get out of fulfilling my appointment, but the thing is, I planned my evening around this planned appointment.
