Always a pleasure to have work done of any kind at my local Goodyear. This morning I noticed a nail in my tire. After a warm welcome from multiple employees upon entering the well kept lobby, I had the pleasure of meeting Ronnie Mito. I was immediately put to ease by his knowledge and kindness. In less than an hour my tire was repaired FOR FREE! This is such an amazing and much needed service, although inevitably it's the employees that keep me coming back. I brought my company car for tire repair. There is a 5 hour wait . The last time I paid 400.00 dollars for tires and they changed it in 3 hours ? I took my car to Costco they repaired my tire in 3 hours. I am taking my tire business to Costco. read more

I made an appointment online Sunday night for Tuesday. I had a lot of work that needed to be done. All four tires, an oil change, and a new battery. I was aware it was going to take a while. Even though I spent three hours in the waiting room, the entire staff made sure that I was taken care off. They offered water, snacks, and coffee. They told me what was going on with the car. When they were working on my paperwork. Larry was very kind and I'm sorry I don't remember the rest of the staffs names. But everyone was great! read more

I noticed that the weights had come off of one of my tires so I contacted Goodyear in Kailua to see if I needed to make an appt. to have it checked, or if they were operating on a first come first served basis. After advising me that an appt. would be best, I proceeded to make an appt. for 10am.. True to their word, they had my truck ready in an hour. More importantly, upon rotating my tires and balancing my tires, the technician discovered a nail in one on them and immediately repaired it before releasing my truck to me. That's what I call EXCELLENT customer service! Everyone I dealt with were very personable and patient. They should be commended for a job well done. After numerous HORRIBLE experience with the Kaimuki Goodyear store, namely clowns Garrett and Ryan, I was a bit hesitant of dealing with any Goodyear other that Waipahu store w/Mgr. Dave. Kailua Goodyear has been added to my list of go-to places for tires and service. I would like to extend my sincerest thank to everyone I dealt with today, as well as the technician who worked on my truck! Kaimuki Goodyear should consider taking customer service lessons from Waipahu and Kailua stores. read more

I had excellent service here today. I'm so appreciative of the kind customer service I received from the guy at the front desk. I also appreciate the manager taking the time to check my car when he heard my problem to let me know that my tire was not safe to drive on- it split on the inside. I showed up an hour before they closed as I didn't discover that my tire had an issue until it was late afternoon on a Sunday. They ensured me I had nothing to apologize about. They were very prompt. In and out in about 45 minutes. I would definitely come here again. read more

At first I was happy with Goodyear because they seemed to really be trying to help me find the best price on tires and get my oil changed, but I am suspecting they were not genuine in everything they offered now. The guy behind the counter told me they had the absolute best price on tires and was rather pushy. To prove to me that their tires were the cheapest he called 3 other tire centers nearby and pretended to be a customer to ask them how much they would charge. All along writing down numbers for me to show me that what they quoted was definitely more than what he would charge. (Meanwhile I never heard the other end of the phone call nor whether or not he was even talking to a real person. I know I sound anal, but I've become very skeptical of the shop ever since my visit there.) Anyway, while the car was in their shop for the oil change (I got a coupon in the mail which is the reason I went there in the first place) the sales guy was pushing the tires on me. He also said that they noticed I needed my inspection done and he started listing off things that were wrong with my car and why it wouldn't pass inspection as is. One of them, was the headlight was too "foggy" and needed to be sanded and cleaned for a mere $40 for headlight. I flat out told him that $40 for a headlight was way more than I was willing to pay. He tried to reason with me and be on my side, explaining how difficult and time-consuming it would be for me to clean it myself. In the end, after my oil change I decided to just leave without getting the car inspection or the new front tires. I felt that the sales guy was being pushy but in a sly way and I didn't trust him. Turns out, I was able to get the tires cheaper at Sears in Kaneohe and the myriad list of things I needed to pass inspection were a fabrication. Because I later took my car to Tenn's in Kailua where it passed inspection with my new tires without any problems. NO $40 headlight cleaning required. I think this place is a completely rip-off and I would never go back. read more

Had a perfect experience here, including great service by Chloe. Needed inspection so I could register my car. No-nonsense, fast and friendly service, no surprise add-ons, very low cost. I left my car at the appointed time and was told to return in an hour, but Chloe also made a courtesy phone call to let me know when the car was ready. Went back one afternoon when my brakes started making noise. They were able to fix it the next morning and were very honest about what repairs would make the car safe to drive and what repairs were recommended but not absolutely necessary. read more

Honesty I gave these people 3 strikes due to the location convenience and the cheap oil change coupons. Each time I went in, they either ran a con to get me to fix something else, or if I fell for the scam the work was done improperly. Kailua Goodyear has absolutely miserable customer service. I was told things as ridiculous as not being able to access the car because they couldn't figure out how to use the key (I had locked the car with a remote), and despite the car being left overnight to fix the botched job, the paperwork was not found the next morning so no work was done. The manager did call me back 2 days later and offer to check/fix the issue after their 'repair', but I had already committed to having the issue resolved by a trusted Mechanic in town. He found shoddy workmanship, questioned the need for the work Goodyear had done, and felt so bad about my experience that he fixed it for free! Thank you Dave! I'm told that other Goodyear locations on the island do honest work - too bad this is not one of them. Apparently they don't want repeat business, preferring to prey on people who are new to the area. I'm not in the military, but being Haole I feel like they are out to make money from people who aren't here for very long. I'm never going back to Kailua Goodyear for anything, even an oil change. DO NOT schedule any services on line!! In the past I've had oil changes and safety checks done here and have been quite happy with the service. This last time I scheduled an appt online 4-5 days in advance. I was scheduled to drop my car off today for a simple oil change prior to another appt I had. I took a half day at work to get these things done. I got a confirmation email yesterday and this morning I get a call saying that they cannot take me today, because the online scheduling does not sync with their system. I was told that I should call and make an appt next time. I have 3 stars because I've had good service there in the past, but this is really bad! If you know that this is a problem, you need to fix it and/or you need to call before the day of the appt. Some of us have to go through great lengths to squeeze in appts. read more

The location is conveniently in Kailua town, near many shops and restaurants to check out while you wait. The bus line is also right outside the shop if you wanted to venture further while you wait for your car. The shop is spacious, kept clean and has a waiting area with a flat screen TV, massage chairs, magazines, and coffee. I have come to Good Year for tire repairs for the past two years I've had my old Honda, and my boyfriend has brought his and his family's vehicles here for tire repairs and other tire-related matters. The customer service was always great. The prices are reasonable, and service is always quick. I've never had a problem with this shop. One of my tires had a nail in them, and Good Year fixed it for free because it was purchased from them. I highly recommend them. read more

DO NOT GO HERE I came back in about 10 days ago to have a new set of tires put on my truck. They lost the wheel lock for my lug nuts so needless to say the tires weren't put on. They said they could replace them and charge me for a new set (although they lost previous set), or they could check with the mechanic who previously worked on my truck, which is what I chose. was told to expect a call within two days, it has now been 10 days and still nothing. Paid someone else to put on the tires and do an alignment. read more

Last year I purchased four brand new Goodyear Kevlar tires. I was told they would be perfect for my 2014 F350 4x4 Platinum truck because I own a roofing company and roofing nails won't penetrate the tire. What they failed to tell me after I spent $550 a tire was that they are for off-road driving. The tires are completely worn out in less than 20,000 miles. I returned to the tire store recently with a blown right front tire. i was told that due to my additional purchase of a road hazard warranty, that Goodyear would replace ALL four tires? I scheduled an appointment the next day and dropped off the truck. Four hours later, I was told that due to the fact I had 'some' tread left (It's all gone) that Goodyear would only replace one tire. What good is one tire on the right front? What about the left? I'm NOT driving around with one bald tire and one new off-road tire it's too dangerous. After talking to the staff at the Goodyear tire store in Kailua they told me their hands were tied and all they could offer was one new tire under the Road Hazard warranty. I contacted Goodyear Tires and sent them an email with my concerns over their road hazard warranty. A week later a really nice lady from Goodyear in Akron, Ohio offered to replace 3 of the 4 tires and the last one was under Road Hazard warranty. So, today I paid a discounted rate for 4 new tires and I'm very happy with Goodyear's response and customer service. Thank you Goodyear! read more

We got a flat tire across the street over by Big City Diner. The donut was also flat so my boyfriend had to walk here to get a replacement. They were really helpful, and after we got the tire on we drove it over and they tightened the bolts and gave us air in all the other tires for free. Very professional and helpful. read more

Had to get a new battery since they didn't have a used one for my car. They gave me the paperwork for the rebate, which I filled out and sent in but NEVER received the money back. Total bummer, they rip you off during a pandemic by claiming you'll get the rebate but NOPE! Didn't happen. read more

I like going to Goodyear because they are friendly and get the car in and out as fast as possible. I've taken my cars there for everything and I wouldn't take it there if I wasn't happy with the service. Definitely outstanding staff that helped us in a time of need. It was today April 1st around 9:30am, that my husband and i were looking at the gas stations in kailua to fill up air bc one of our tires was flat and unfortunately the both gas stations in kailua had "temporary unable" signs on them. We then decided to go to goodyear bc it said they had an air pump. Luckily, Lisa and Kennedy helped us in the time of need. They were kind and helpful throughout our time there. Lisa helped us put air in all of the tires, and we didnt expect such an amazing assistance. They noticed that the tire that was flat had a nail in it. So we decided to purchase a tire. Kennedy took initiative on switching the old tire with the new one quickly and we were out of there fast. I am so glad and lucky to have them assist us in the time of need that we were going through, as we were getting worried at not finding a place to put air on our tires. We are pleased with the customer service they provided. It was well done. Best place to go for sure. read more

I've come here twice now, once for a tire repair and now to have my oil changed. Mark and the rest of the crew are so great-friendly and professional. I called a few places for prices on an oil change, before calling GoodYear, and you can't beat their prices. $65 for a full synthetic oil change with tire rotation included. They serviced my husbands car as well on a few occasions and we have yet to have a bad experience. Awesome place and awesome crew ! read more

One day I noticed that my warning light was on for my tire.. by the time I drove to the service station to fill in some air, my tire pressure was down to 19lbs which should have been 32 lbs. I immediately drove to Goodyear. I was told they couldn't do it then.. after all it was late afternoon & they still had 6 cars ahead of me. I totally understood.. I was advised to come in the next morning after 9 am. I did some errands & wallah.. car was done at no charge. Mahalo Goodyear Tires for your excellent service. Called in to get my oil changed and I was scheduled for the very next morning. I happened to have my own oil and filter and my price went down considerably. It's one of the only places around town that accepts customer-bought oil. That means they're looking out for the consumer and helping us to get a good deal. I'd recommend this Goodyear Auto Service Center to anyone. It's rare to find businesses that are genuinely looking to help rather than making as much as they can off the customer, and this is one of them. Kudos. read more

I live in town and I hopped the Pali to go beach for the day, Little did I know my rear wheel bearing had gotten to the point of no return, I herd the snap and metal on metal and knew i had to stop immediately. It was about 9 30 pm and I had a car FULL of people. With out AAA i was left no choice then to take the chance of leaving it overnight in the parking lot. With a note and a prayer. When I returned in the morning it was still there and they were ready to help! I got an estimate on replacement and it was more then 1/2 the cost the Honolulu Goodyear on Waialae gave me, which also said the BOTH sides needed replacement!! TRUTHFULLY only one side needed it , and being a single mom that is tight on $$ you fix what IS broken. So instead of shelling out 600+ I only paid $270! I was very happy with the polite customer service and the awesome waiting area with flat screen and cable, was sweet. I will definitely will hop the Pali to return for service! Had bad vibrations resonating through the car at freeway speed. Damon and his crew inspected and determined it was a tire wear and separation issue due to improper rear camber. Moving forward, they recommended alignment, tire replacement and road hazard coverage. Car rides and handles how it should now. Mahalo Guys! read more

Took my car to Goodyear to replace 2 tires and get an alignment. The guy in the front was trying to charge me all kinds of add-ons which brought my total up to $1000 something..... for 2 tires!! Still charging me for the top grade tires after repeatedly asking for the cheaper one... after about 4 pages he finally got the price down to something more manageable for me. The new total was $530, for 2 lower grade tires and an alignment. I have an older model car, which shouldn't matter... but I feel like that effected the level of service I received. It was around 430 when I was called and told my car was ready, I paid and my other half got the car from designated parking. When we returned home, we noticed the tires had a bunch of residue left on the rims and the walls of the new tires. I called to speak with someone the next day and they kind of brushed it off. I told them theirs white stuff all over my rim and tires, for the price they charge me they couldn't even do a quality job and wipe it down... he said "oh that's just the lubricant we put on the rims to get the tires on". Ok, but could your workers are that lazy and couldn't put out a good quality job? Knowing it's visible it's like they didn't care. He said "he'd let the guys in the back know". Won't be going there again, I've had a better experience at a discount tire shop! The excessive surcharging and then the crap job they did, I won't be returning or recommending! read more

I brought in a tire that had completely deflated overnight. They happily came to the car to wheel it inside. I came back a few hours later and it was patched. I asked if they would please put my tire back on, even for a fee. They did it free of charge. They made a not fun situation much better. read more

I've been here many times and all my visits have been great - safety checks, tire repair, alignments, etc. Lately, I've used the online appointment system and it worked fine. I DID make a phone call a couple days before to confirm with a live human though. Prices are in line with other repair shops. I may buy my tires here next time, they were a little bit more than Costco BUT I avoid the crazy Costco lines - I waited over 1 hour in the Costco tire department line the last time!!! read more

OMG! This place is AmAzInG! While on vacation, we noticed that our rental car had a slow leak in one of the rear tires. We called the rental company who told us to "use a can of "Fix-a-Flat" or fix it ourselves". Frustrated, we took the vehicle to Goodyear Tire & Service. They helped us right away with changing the damaged tire (nail in tire). They didn't even charge us for their services! I am now a loyal Goodyear customer! read more

repeat customer, not jus a one time chance em experience. one star since through out all the years, at least they were nice. especially cuz they see me ritually since i maintain my car thru them. but with time, my car showed signs of bad wear n tear. coolant flush- they used universal, but i stressed how my car needed a specific one. but i trusted them when they said it'll be ok. couple days go by and i had no coolant in my car! they didn't fill it up my radiator, jus the overflow tank. but here's the worst part, they put plain water instead of more coolant!! my car seriously almost broke down if i hadn't checked it! they have no self accountability even after all that air conditioner - they claimed my compressor had to be replaced... but little did they know, i still had dealership warranty. took my car to check up there and it just needed a recharge. told them and again, no self accountability. jus a "oh ok, at least u had it checked out." stop hustling customers goodyear kailua! jus appreciate any business that comes your way. for higher maintenance stay away from this place. read more
