Visited this location yesterday around 4:15 pm and they were closed. Hours stated here on yelp and posted on the sign at the store said they would be open till 5 pm but the door was locked and there was no one in sight. They fixed it at a very reasonable amount of time and to my husband's surprise, Goodyear did not charge him. When it's time to change the 4 tires in my own car, my husband thought of Goodyear's kindness instantly and therefore chose to get it done there. Rude much? I brought my car into this Goodyear to have it thoroughly looked over, so I booked an appointment online thinking that meant that my car would be taken in at that time. Upon arriving I was told that was not how they did business or scheduling. Apparently, there were "17 other invoices" before me and that 20 (or so) others had booked that exact same time. The person at the counter made a rude noise when he looked at the list of stuff I wanted to be done. He asked in a rather exasperated yet sarcastic tone, "This is what you wanted us to do?" After I confirmed the list, he then asked if I would be waiting or should they call me when it was done. Lesson #1: Goodyear doesn't know how scheduling should work. Lesson #2: Goodyear doesn't train their counter help in how to treat people well. To continue this fiasco of bad service, about an hour before they were going to close for the day, I called to see the status of my car. The counter person who answered my call seemed annoyed by my question. I was asked to wait while that person checked on my car. When that person returned she said that they were "in the middle of the long list of things I asked them to do." So I asked if it would be done by the time they closed. They hung up on me. Lesson #3: Goodyear doesn't train their counter help in phone courtesy. After all was said and done, the invoice was completed before their closing time, the car was parked 8 inches away from the neighboring vehicle, and I vow never to go to this company again. read more

Pretty bad experience for BOTH my vehicles during COVID. Both vehicles had a nail in the tire (not on the face part of the tire) and both times, we had to replace the tire which cost more than $200 each time (one in June and one 2 weeks ago). We were told it punctured the tire and it couldn't be fixed by sealing it. They refused to show us the tire and why it couldn't be sealed but instead had to be replaced. They offer the FREE TIRE REPAIR but in the end our tires could not be repaired. That's how they get you. You go in to do the tire repair and instead of them calling you to see if you can afford it, they replace it anyway and then call you to you that your vehicle is ready for pickup. You get there and is slapped with a $225 bill!! VERY UPSETTING during these times. read more

Went to Good Year for a safety inspection as a walk in. Dropped off my vehicle and was called a couple of hours later when it was done. Was really happy about the timely service. 1. The issue here is the customer service. The person who took my vehicle was not very engaged while taking my vehicle in. He seemed more interested in the conversation that was taking place behind him. 2. When i came to pick up my vehicle, the same person helped me and did not explain about my failed safety inspection and what to do. All he said was "sign here". 3. After i got my vehicle fixed, i went down today to get the sticker for the safety inspection around 4 in the afternoon and the same person tells me that i have to come back before 3 o'clock to get the sticker done. I mentioned that he did not tell me this when i picked up the vehicle and they are supposed to be open until 6. Been here before and had good experiences having them fix or maintain our vehicles. Hope this is just a one time experience. Will still go back to them again...with some hesitation! read more

Today our car was acting weird so we asked for it to be checked, and we have been using this goodyear for several times now so we thought they were going to take care of it well like they always have. It seemed busy today and the staff told us to wait for the call and so we left. We checked in around 4 and we waited for the call until 6. We knew they were closing soon and thought it was weird to take that long so we went to check: and then that's when we were told that they didn't, or they couldn't fix the car since the mechanic had already left for the day. Then they asked us to pay 140 dollars for the diagnostics. We were in shock and asked why they didn't call us to let us know. Chelle the manager came in and explained that she did not know, not first apologizing for their mistake. In the end she gave up and let us off, but its such a shame they handled this so poorly. My brother is autistic and he can not wait for a very long time, and they know us well enough, so it's no wonder we were very upset with this unprofessional service. We're going to have to look for another go-to auto service around here since we don't plan on going back to them again after all this. read more

It also shows u the estimated time of when u're car will be done, depending on the services u choose. Associates are always helpful in the front and so are the technicians that come out. Walking in the front office is clean and open. There is one or two people usually at the counter performing check in. I had an appointment for a safety check. Are safety checks the last items to be done! As it did take 44 minutes. I've has walk in safety checks that took way shorter. The state requires safety check, we need to have responsible and efficient check locations. For us to have to wait this long is messed up. The service workers were friendly enough, but doesn't really make up for the slow service. read more

Even though for the several times we had to replace tires for both our vehicles over the years, we did the research to compare prices including with our cars' dealerships, other dealerships that we can receive employee parts discounts from, as well as Navy exchange with the military discounts, but we found that Goodyear offered us the best prices while Not having to compromise quality. We choose quality over price when it comes to our tires because that also means our family's safety. My daughter 18 yrs old had 10:00 am appointment for an oil change and tire rotation on a 2015 Scion XB on a Thursday. She called me at 12:00 to pick her up and switch cars because they only started on her car and she needed to go to work. They finished her car in 20 minutes and I sat in the waiting room waiting for someone to call her to tell her her car was ready. Nope, no call, I had to walk up to the counter and ask for the vehicle. 2.5 hours for an oil change and rotation and no call to the customer for the delay and no call when the vehicle was done. Customer service???? How hard is it to pick up the phone and call the customer. I sat there in the waiting room and the workers were talking to each other. The one female was just staring at her computer screen. Multitask much? Your company needs to do better. So disappointed. Car comes in, you service it, call the customer. Right? Problems? Delay? Contact customer! You are in the customer service business! Service your customers! Short handed? Let your customers know!!!! So they can go somewhere else. Communication is key. Simple courtesy. Went here several times in the past with good service, but today I am disappointed with the unprofessional service treatment and rudeness from the front desk person (Colleen). I made my appintment (2 days ago) to install 2 front tires (since I already installed 2 new back tires (2 weeks ago). When I came into my appointment and dropped my car, I figured everything is going perfect. One and a half hour later, they call saying they only have one tire ready to install and their warehouse is closed already so will not be able to get me another tire. They ask if I want the 1 tire anyway.... I say no because then it won't be aligned and completely off balance from left to right (versus a little off balance with front and back). I thought I could forgive the incompetence of them not checking for my tire when I made the appointment. But with the one and a half hour call later by the RUDE NON-APOLOGETIC young woman (Colleen)... I am upset and want her supervisor to know she is a horrible staff person and is costing them business as I will not return there again. read more

WORST SPOT ON THE ISLAND!! If you have all day or two days to sit around for a basic service this is your shop. The employees cannot be less trained on giving adequate time and service expectations. Made a 9am appointment with a pick up time of 11am, we arrived at 845am and they did not take keys until 915am. We walked around came back saw our car parked in the same spot at 1045. Gave them some time since they were overbooked according to the customer service ladies. 1230pm I check on our car and it still in the same place so I asked the lady "how long more for my car is ready that I brought in at 9?" she goes to check the done paperwork can't find anything then goes to the garage to ask about my car and not even 2 minutes later I can see through the window, someone is in my car moving it from the stall it was parked in from 845am and moved it 5 stalls over and literally 2 minutes later she comes in with the paperwork and says they drove it around and did the 29 point free check up but found nothing wrong with it, beside the reason we came in for and that they can't help us. She said we needed to take it somewhere else. I then said 'AMAZING isn't that we waited nearly 4 hours for something that took you guys literally less than 5 minutes to diagnose! Also, don'tstand there and tell me they drove it around and did all the checks when I just watched the entire thing." UNBELIEVEABLE!!! Also the clients are the reason you have a paycheck, so check the attitude! read more

Dropped off vehicle for oil change. Assistant store manager Grant K. me told I'd have to leave it cause they probably wouldn't get to it till the evening. When told that's fine he sighed and dragged his feet to do the paperwork. Once the vehicle was done 2hrs later I ask if they have the time to do another vehicle. Assistant Store Manager Grant K. says no and just hangs up the phone. This was at noon. Go to pick up the vehicle and he just tosses keys on the counter and says sign here. I go to pay and their card reader isn't even working right. They did the oil change but doubt they rotated the tires. Have no way to back up the claim but wouldn't be surprised, did verify they put fresh oil before driving off though. Took my other vehicle elsewhere just to never have to come back to this Goodyear again. read more

I brought my car in to get a wheel alignment done Saturday morning and also asked for the air in my tires to be topped up because the air pressure light came on. After getting the call that my car was done, I paid and was about to pull out of the parking lot when I noticed that the dratted air pressure warning light was still lit. I went back into the Goodyear Waiting area to inquire about this and I was told that I would need to drive around awhile before the warning light would turn off. I did that, drove from Kapolei back to Waipahu, and the light stayed lit the whole time. So I made an appointment at Lex Brodie's the next day. Turns out the air pressure really was low, and that took care of that. Shame on you, Goodyear! Now I have doubts that you even did my wheel alignment. Scam artists, for sure and I don't think I will return. read more

This is probably the worst place to ever go to get any type of car work done. The workers there are very rude, they say stuff very quietly to themselves when they're helping you like your dumb or something. The workmanship is horrible as Well. After going to them multiple times I swear after days or a week from seeing them something magically goes wrong with my car. These people don't know what they're doing at all and are horrible at their jobs. I asked to speak to a manager and the lady helping me "colleen" went to the back and was gone for 5 minutes and she comes back to say her manager is out. I think that's very convinent that he just manages to not be there and she was gone for that long. Take your car to anywhere but here these people are a joke. I would say go to jiffy lube or lex Brodies in Waipahu. Without a doubt better than these jokes. I scheduled a Safety Check on line only to find out, once I got to the Kapolei location that they DO NOT OFFER safety checks on Sunday ALTHOUGH their website allowed me to schedule an appointment!!!!! I had to pay someone to watch my elderly mother while I attended this appointment so not only was it a WASTE OF MY TIME BUT IT WAS A WASTE OF MY MONEY! This is the 2nd time Good Year had provided FALSE information, the first was an earlier safety check appointment I made in Waianae only to get there to be told the tech left early!!!! My wife took her car for safety check and Goodyear rep call her and said the headlight high beam on the left side not working. She said ok how much to replace the bulb and was quoted 40 dollars to replace, she gave the phone to me and I told them I will replace it, it's only 3 minute job. So we went to get our car and went to check, the headlight switch was remove and the lights male connection was bent. I fix it right away and took the car back for safety check again and got the safety sticker . Just can't believe how dishonesty they are playing stupid game for trying to steal money from the customers. My wife is very nice person and they thought they could of rip her off! Sad ! Online they said approximately 1 hour wait. Came back before one hour was up and I saw my car being parked. They called a few minutes later. And they didn't charge me for it! Should've read the reviews first before making the decision to visit this joint for car services. Front desk experience actually killed my 1st time experience within 10 minutes. Soon as I walked in the door, I already noticed the 2 guys working the front were not happy to be at work. I asked the tall (6'1 or 6'2) skinhead dude if they would be able to service my car. Dude immediately replied with a mad, irritating face: "We're done taking walk-ins today." I inquired about making reservations. He replied with his hands in the air "‍ You can try, but I don't know how busy we might be." I thanked him, and walked out. In conclusion, Kapolei GoodYear was a first & last time experience all in 10 minutes. I would have removed it myself, but hey it was only $19.95 and I had a coupon for a free tire repair. So, I tried calling this place. No one will ever answer the phone. I left my house in Makakilo to drive there and make an appointment. I scheduled for the next day. I was told to come in an hour earlier. The next day came. I took my car in. The salesman said to leave my car. I left my car and went to grab a bite to eat. An hour later this salesman told me my tire was unrepairable and I had to buy a new one! Thing is had I not know my car and know how to do small repairs I would have been "upsold" to buy a new tire. I started to wonder how many people they ripped off.. I bought a 10.00 tire repair kit and did it myself! My car is still going strong. Stay away from this place! You will be mislead and "upsold" into buying something that you don't need! read more

He was able to get my vehicle in on time and was conscience about letting me know the progress as I was in the waiting area.
