Scum. Scammers. I brought my car in on Monday 9:30am to get my starter replaced. I was quoted around $600 and 2.3 hours to get it fixed. They told me they would call me when they finished system diagnostics and start working on the car. I received no calls for the rest of the day. I called back twice and they said the car not even been in the shop yet. One whole day wasted. Tuesday morning comes around and I get a call from them. Yup starter issue and a couple recommended repairs. I chose only the starter replacement. Side issue - $370 to replace/fix one ball joint??? The pricing here is outrageous. I get another call later in the afternoon that the mechanic BROKE one of the starter bolts and the threading CAME OUT. They said I had to pay an additional $295 for 1.5 hours to rethread the hole. You mean to tell me the customer is the one who has to pay for damage caused by the mechanic??? You mean to tell me there was absolutely no way to get that out in one piece? Did you actually try all options or decided to take the short cut and just charge the customer even more than what they needed on the car? Then hours later, I get another call where I was informed that bolt they broke was SPECIAL ORDER meaning it'll take a day to arrive. Great, I'm now without my car for 2 days, going into 3. Wednesday comes around they finally fix my car at around 10-11am. I wait until the afternoon to pick it up. They still tried to charge me for fixing damage they caused. A $600 initial quote becomes over $1000??? Does that sound reasonable? I argued with them and they at first not willing to take the fault. After a couple minutes, they decided to "eat the charge". Yes, you should. Your mechanic broke the bolt. You guys take responsibility to fix it. Not charge the customer even more. All in all, a 2.3 hour service took 2.5 days. The amount of inconvenience, annoyances, and anger caused by this service center. Never, ever, go here. I learned the hard way to not trust this service center. read more

I truly cannot believe how bad this shop is now. Used to go here for everything but never again. We had a bad experience in June with my husband's car. We made an appt (appt was made in person days before since making appts on the website doesn't actually work). Tried to call for a status update since no one called us and the phone went unanswered after numerous attempts. We finally went in since that's the only way to speak to anyone. LUIS told us that the work would be done by 6 and that he "promised" to call us the moment it was ready. No call by 545 so we go to the shop and arrive at 558p. Location is locked up and not a soul on site. My husband had longstanding plans that evening and their complete lack of communication ruined them. When we went in the next morning the car was done and NIKKO tried to tell us their phones hadn't been working properly with a level of apathy that really conveyed how much he did not care. Phones down for 3 days? Yeah,  okay. Because of this I was really hesitant to bring my car in but I had road hazard warranty on the tire i damaged so I figured it would be fine at best and annoying at worst. I would happily have settled for annoying and not the absolute clusterf*** this was. I knew going in the job was going to require more work than just a tire (I dodged a cat and hit a curb). I spoke to ADRIANA and dropped my car off after hours on the 10/23. No one called or answered the phone on the 24th. Or 25th. Or 26th. I called the corporate number listed in other reviews here. They also couldn't get through to the shop. District manager ABLE called me.  He told me the shop would be calling me by 2 and that he told them to take care of me on the price. He also tried to tell me that no one answering the phone is a training issue. No, Able,  you have a compliance problem not a training problem. At this point they at least answer the phone when i call and Adriana updates me periodically. Unfortunately they are still waiting for a part. Not a weird obscure part. A strut. I am repeatedly told "hopefully" this date, that date. It is what it is and at least they're updating me. On 10/30 I realized they weren't going to have it back by the end of the month so i called and spoke to Adriana about adding an inspection to the ticket. No problem she says. 11/8 my car is finally done! It's a miracle! 16 days to replace a strut, rim, and tire. They discount the job more and I pay over the phone and pick up this morning, 11/9 at 630a. Everything seems fine except the TPMS light is still on. And then i notice that they didn't do the inspection. I'm driving with an inspection that expired 9 days ago. I call again. They answer. They tell me the inspection machine is broken. I asked if it's been broken the 2 1/2 weeks? They tell me the machine was brand new on Saturday and that it's not working. I have a feeling it's "broken" in the same way the phones were "broken" in June. It would have been really helpful had anyone bothered to tell me they couldn't/wouldn't do the inspection before me noticing on my own. They offered to call another Goodyear and i declined. I'd rather pay full price for 4 new tires than go to any Goodyear for anything ever again. TL;DR: Lots of excuses and inability to operate a telephone. AVOID AT ALL COSTS read more

Interesting that my negative review on the GY Irondequoit website isn't posting, but the positive one about the Penfield store posted right away... Long story, cliff notes - This locations managers/front desk are lazy and make up rules. Was told to go back to Penfield where I purchased the alignment package. After speaking to a regional manager a few days later, it was confirmed the Irondequoit location made up a rule so they didn't have to perform a service i purchased at another location. Save your time, go visit Sean in Penfield, He and his staff will treat you like valued customers. read more

I made an appointment last week and was told 1pm. I get there at 12:55 and go through the things that I wanted done just like I did when I made the appointment. I walked to a place for lunch and hour later came back, car hadn't moved. I waited in their waiting room for another hour and a half (car still hadn't moved) and then I was told there was no way they could do the work since it takes 3 hours for an engine light and of course that would go past closing. Observed nobody much the whole time I was there. This used to be a great place for service but never again. read more

I had a flat tire and had towed on a Sat they said they were full on Sunday and wouldn't get to it. Tried to call Monday and nobody answered phone for over 1 hour and no way to leave a message. Go to another place for service or tires stay away from this place. No answer and no service! read more

I've brought my vehicles here for a few years because it's next to my office so I can walk back after dropping off and walk to them to pick it up. Knock on wood, they have never messed up my car or created a nightmare for me. They have tried to upgrade services but when I decline they move on, they don't push it. They keep me updated about my car. Only once did I have an issue when they went a head and did something on my car before I gave the approval and they went ahead and ate the coat because of it. I didn't have to argue or cause a scenes they just took it off when I said "but I didn't ask for that". I have never waited for my car so I can't speak to their speed of service if you do wait but they always appear busy with cars coming in and out so I don't think they are slacking. I have never brought my car here for anything major, I try to stick to smaller shops for that because they usually are more affordable. I use them for oil changes, inspection, tires (look out for deals with their credit card) and tire rotations (included for life when they do your tires). read more

I made an appointment a week out for an oil change at 12 PM on Saturday. I showed up for the appointment and, after waiting a few minutes to be acknowledged (nobody else was there), was told that I "was wrong" and I "didn't have an appointment then". When I showed them my email confirmation they said "we don't take appointments at noon, we tried to call you several times, and left messages." I checked my phone then and there - I had one missed call from Monday, with no message left. No apology was offered, no attempt to fit me in was made, and no indication was given that this was their mistake. My wife and I are working two different full time jobs and can only do an appointment on Saturdays, so we'll have to wait till next weekend to take our business elsewhere. Frankly, I wouldn't trust businessmen like that with my car anyway so maybe we dodged a bullet. read more

Got a good deal on tires here in July 2018. Went back for oil change(first time) on 10/25/2018 and tire rotation. Manager, John, told me I needed new lug nuts, mine were bad and tech had trouble removing them. I told him Goodyear was only one who replaced tires. I said ok - he was going to replace 20 of them for $30. When I got home I noticed that 2 of them looked rusted - so I returned the next day and pointed it out. He said Tech was new. Never apologized or offered to do anything for my inconvenience. I also asked if oil change was done since sensor said oil life was at 50%. He said yes of course. I would be very very wary about dealing with them. If they do any work on part replacement - ask for old parts. By the way - he said he dodn't notice others that were not replaced, lug nuts that is. When I asked why tech didn't replace all 20 - he just glared at me!!! read more

i went to get an oil change which normally takes 30 minutes. we waited an hour and 15 minutes before someone even came and told us that they had botched the filter and had to get a new one over all the whole thing took 1 hour and 45 minutes i was very disappointed the service was crap and the people there were so rude. read more
