We went to lunch here, in the middle of the week in late July 2021. We used to come to Branson often, but that changed about 15 years ago. They have done some remodeling during that time, and they even kept the funny couple on the wall, a good sign. The staff was very pleasant, the food was just as good as it had been in the past. We go here about once a month and it's always good. The salad bar has lots of choices with homemade dressings. The Chicken Pot Pie is delicious. Some Chinese food, pizza, fried and baked chicken. Fresh vegetables. The blackberry cobbler is amazing, as are the cookies. Everyone who works here is very nice and friendly. Our favorites are Anna and Armandina. STAY AWAY!!! Terrible food most of it is from frozen and reheated meals. You expect better for $20 a plate. The restaurant smells odd. The parking lot is a nightmare due to it being a shared lot for the hotel, comedy theatre, fun spot, put-put and gift store. They seat you out in a dining area overlooking an indoor put-put park that resembles a very cheaply mad tropical Cafe with lightning storms included, and the only thing protecting you from a kid yeeting a golf ball at you is a small waist high handrail. read more

My dad is a local in Branson, so when I go visit him I never have to worry about picking something good to eat or fun to do. He promises this is the best brunch buffet he's been to; and, he's rarely wrong when it comes to good food. (He doesn't recommend it for lunch or dinner... that is unless you go for breakfast and stay long enough for lunch, HA) As far as Brunch goes, you can't get any better than this! They had a french toast and a yogurt bar with any kind of fixing you could want. An omelette station with all kinds of toppings. The cook when we went was Lebanese and provided an entertaining history while we waited. There were just so many breakfast options! Toast (I had apple butter with mine), breakfast meats (including sausage patties, links, bacon, and chicken tenders), good ol' fashioned grits, scrambled eggs, breakfast casserole, sticky rolls, biscuits and two types of gravy, and an assortment of breakfast muffins and pastries. My favorite was the cherry strudel. The pastry was so flaky and perfect. Had I brought you one, you would never had guessed I got it from a breakfast buffet. When entering the building it looks like an indoor market, which was kind of cool and we were given the option to eat inside or out on their "patio". We had just missed the Cajun music group. My daughter and I were there for breakfast. The safety measures there aren't even minimal. There isn't any distancing especially when you first arrive and pay for your meal before you are seated. The buffet is self serve (I get it it's a buffet) but the problem was the cook's kept putting the tongs everyone used to put food on their plate on top of the food without cleaning them between patrons. What clenched it for me was watching the manager cough in her hand and immediately pick up bacon for the buffet!! I give the food a 3 out of 10 because if you don't care enough that you put out brown scorched eggs and expect people to eat the rest can't be any better. It's your standard Buffett. The food is good, and there is a good variety to choose from. The cheddar tilapia is amazing. Its very busy, but it's a large venue. There are busses of older people that can show up at random times and cause lines. So, if you see one coming... get your food quickly. The only reason it lost a star was because of the prices. It's kind of pricey. They need to add hot fudge as a topping too as well to the ice cream area. read more

The Grand Country experience was a solid 4* and it was not because of the buffet. The buffet was very typical. Some strange options. They were behind in keeping it stocked and some food was cold. The overall options were plentiful but did not go together well. Fish and cabbage, egg rolls and mac and cheese..... Food was okay, prices were moderate. I will give a shout out to the waitresses, they were very friendly and helpful. However, with all the options that Branson has to offer for dining, I'd leave this one behind. There are really no COVID precautions at this restaurant at all. About 1/3 of the customers don't wear masks and no one says anything to them. The staff wear "masks" in the sense that a 2"x2" plastic piece five inches from their face is a mask. Patrons are stacked practically on top of one another and no one gives you six feet of distance anywhere. Not a safe place during a pandemic. First visit. Weekday breakfast. Grand Country is standard buffet options. All fresh food was good, cooked how I like it. Fresh fruit was good. I did not order coffee but heard compliments about it. Skip the mushy canned fruit. Something labeled southern omelette looked like mini quiche, was an inedible, soggy frozen egg thing. No real butter. Omelette bar available which I did not try today. I think I arrived between early and mid morning diners. Staff didn't have enough to do and were close to annoying. Leave people to eat in peace. And I did not come here to hear staff fawning over diners or making constant jokes and noise. Four stars for buffet that was kept well filled, of properly cooked, hot food, prompt plate service, overall cleanliness and available fresh omelettes. Priced a little high for the amount I eat, but acceptable. I suspect price starts higher to compensate for various discounts. To the reviewer who saw a roach, why did you stay? I wish I could give the buffet a better rating. But realistically, better food is available for much less elsewhere in Branson. That said, if you are attending the show at the Grand Country, and you have the ticket for the discount, it does make it a better deal. I should say that this rating is based primarily on the value; the food is fine. Nothing special, typical buffet fare. Perhaps a 3 1/2 for the food. The service was okay. This place can get pretty busy, but there are two lines fully serviced. Since it was Christmas, I was hoping for some holiday treats, but not. Still, if you can forgive the price, you can still enjoy the food. It just has so much competition in Branson, I can't rate it higher in good conscience. read more
