My shrimp boil after its out of the bag.
    Trang W.

Found this restaurant while wandering around Caesars Palace. Since I was by myself, I asked the hostess if I could sit at the bar. At the time, there were only a few people seated. I ended up right in front of the guy shucking oysters, which was kind of fun to watch. I chatted with another couple who had been there before. They recommended the cab and said I couldn't go wrong with anything I ordered. Bonus: it was happy hour (4-6 pm), so I ordered a glass of cab and started with a shrimp boil and chargrilled oysters. While I waited for my food, more people started coming in, and before I knew it, the bar was packed--mostly tourists stopping in for happy hour bites and conversation. My waiter (who was also the oyster-shucking guy) was clearly busy. I tried chatting with him, but he was definitely in "work mode." First impression: wow, these oysters are HUGE. Honestly, too big to eat raw in one bite--you'd need to cut them up. The chargrilled oysters, though? That's the move. Deliciously charred with cheese and garlic butter--so good. My second dish was a shrimp boil with big, juicy shrimp. Really tasty and the perfect portion for one person. Later, my friend joined me and ordered a half dozen raw oysters. It was too much for her, so naturally, I stepped in to help My order: Half dozen chargrilled oysters Shrimp boil Glass of cab (Shared) half dozen raw oysters I don't recall the exact price of each dish, but they were around $6-$9 during happy hour. My total came out to about $31 with tip--such a great deal. During our time there we out our waiter's name was Will, and he attended Xavier University on a basketball scholarship. He graduate in 2023 and graduated with a degree to become a pharmacist. I think I finally got him to crack a smile -- okay it was a smirk! I don't blame him for being all business--it's a tourist hotspot, and we were there during the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, right after another big festival week. He was probably exhausted from all of us tourists. Overall, we really enjoyed our time. The food was amazing for happy hour pricing. I'd probably skip the raw oysters next time (just too big to eat comfortably), but everything else was spot on. If you go, sit at the bar. Come for the food, stay for the unexpected conversations--and tell Will we sent you.

Near the convention center and the casino, this place seemed geared towards tourists. I asked to sit at a table but the hostess refused and asked me to sit at the bar. She's stated that all the tables were already reserved for others even though there were several empty tables the entire time I was there and even after I left. The place was maybe half full. I sat at the bar and the bartender was nice but his service was extremely slow. The bar top was dirty with food and oyster juices on it and the bartender didn't take the time to clean it up. While I was waiting for my food, I got tired of looking at the mess so I grabbed some cocktail napkins and cleaned it up myself. I was the only one at the bar and he wasn't making a lot of drinks for those lucky enough to sit at a table so I'm not sure what he was doing. The food however was good, if not remarkable. I really enjoyed the oyster soup. It was very savory with a unique flavored broth. For my entree, I ordered redfish on the halfshell. It was cooked well, but could have used a little more spices. I think I would have enjoyed the meal more if I had been seated at a table with appropriate wait staff , but the hostess's attitude put me in a bad mood! Haha. If I'm in the area again, I may go back for the oyster soup, but I'll make sure I make a "reservation" for a table.

Stumbled upon this place when I was looking on Yelp for HH near the Caesars hotel. They have a great happy hour on weekdays 4-6 ($1 oysters, $7 certain cocktails, $8 shrimp boil and $5 beers). I saddled up to the bar (while I was waiting for the rest of my family) and ordered half a dozen charbroiled and half a dozen raw oysters. Plus, an extra dirty martini. The raw oysters were shucked right at the bar. Everything was delicious! The charbroiled oysters were bathed in buttery, cheesy goodness. When the rest of my family showed up, we moved to a table and got more of the same. Service was also nice. If you're nearby, give this place a try, you won't regret it.

Came to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl and walking back from the Riverwalk. I came across this place. Sat at the oyster bar and the gentleman there completely recommended the red fish. I'm not exactly a fan, but he assured me it was amazing. He was absolutely correct. I'm here for a few more days and I know that I'm gonna go back before I go home. Service was amazing. The ambience was pretty relaxed. They had the various games on.

Delicious!!! I have passed this place a million times and finally tried it. Very cute decor and my waiter was great! He gave me a great entree suggestion. I loved every part of it. Grilled fish over spinach and fried potato cake topped with a crawfish sauce. It was extremely enjoyable. My waiter was very attentive. They offer a good happy hour special for oysters so I would love to come back again and try.

After a conference and some shopping at the Riverwalk mall near the convention center, I was hungry and ready to eat something. I ended up here since another restaurant nearby had a 25 minute wait and I just wanted to have something sooner. I am glad I stopped here. The waitress, Callie, was super nice and recommended the po boy and another dish. I decided to try the po boy after I had tried one T the convention center which had been very disappointing so was hoping for this one to be good. This one did not disappoint! It was very good. The fries were also very good, fresh, very hot and crispy. One thing to note is they automatically add on 20% gratuity which I am not a fan of places going this, because service can sometimes be bad. In this case it was good, so that's ok.

I don't know why this has less than 4 stars? Amazing oysters! We happened to stumble in for happy hour. We were so lucky! $1 raw oysters and mini shrimp boil! Holy cow! We loved it!

I don't even know where to begin with what an awful experience this was. The ambiance was fine, the restaurant was clean. That's the best thing I have to say about it. I ordered the barbecue shrimp at the bar-having no idea they came whole-so you would have to peel the shell, head, and legs off of them. I can't do this in a work suit and the sauce looked mighty dark and muddy for barbecue and wasn't enticing at all. I explained this to the bartender and she took it away and I ordered something else. When my bill came it still had the shrimp on it so I asked her to take them off. She said that was against policy. I asked her why she didn't tell me this when I ordered something else and she said she couldn't tell everyone I asked for the manager who reiterated the same-and I also noticed they add 20% gratuity to every check-now I understand why she didn't say anything when I ordered another dish. I told the manager I respected the policy but to please remove the auto grat as the bartender blatantly disrespected me, and she did. The bartender was livid and tossed the check presented back at me-I said 'oh we're throwing things now?' To which she replied 'it slipped out of my hands; grow up'. Another bartender came over and apologized. What an embarrassment. Steer clear folks-if they have policies in place to protect against food being sent back and an auto grat even on a 1 person check-you know both food and service are questionable

Oh my gosh y'all sooo good! The BBQ shrimp was FANTASTIC ! I love me some grits they had ROASTED CORN w a touch of jalapeño omggg. I would have been happy with JUST the grits. Cocktails hit the spot. Did not realize i stopped in close to closing time. Our server never let on was amazing, sweet, very understanding how exhausted we were from fighting mardi gras traffic we found out the hard way. Our meal was excellent our server THE BEST. Beautiful spot i wished we found sooner literally walking distance from our hotel. Harrahs/Caesars. Btw was recommended by the staff at Caesars.

I was staying nearby and needed a solo dinner, so I grabbed a spot at the bar. The bar was nice - marble counter, dark wood bar, and adjacent to the oyster shucking station for entertainment. The bartender was very friendly and attentive. I started with a Negroni and ordered the Shrimp Camanada Poboy and a side of fries. The poboy and fries were okay, but nothing to rave about, which was a shame because the concept was good and it could have been a home run if it were better executed. In a city full of great food, this wasn't bad enough to complain about but not good enough to return for. ETA - the restaurant sent a rude message in response to this honest review. That's really unprofessional and terrible customer service.

We were in town for Mardi Gra. We found this restaurant because it was walking distance from our hotel. The first time we came our waiter was Mark. He provided excellent service. On our first night here we tried a few appetizers. The shrimp juju is the bomb. On our last night in New Orleans we came back to the Grand Isle and sat in Mark's section again. The host that sat is was so sweet. He was a funny young guy. We sat in Mark's section again and got the same great service. We got the Shrimp Juju again. My husband got the porkchop with mac and cheese. I got the grillef cesar salad with shrimp.. Our food was so delicious. They do charge 20% tip automatically on your bill. It was totally worth it. Love the food here and we will come back next time we are in New Orleans.

Do you like a plate of food that speaks classy without punching you in the wallet, and servers who don't hover, but can answer even the most random questions you could have about the stuff on your plate? Look no further, friend. Right off the bat, after arriving on a Friday around 4:45 PM we were seated promptly, given water and the tastiest little sweet yeast rolls ever (the tops actually crackled when you squish them you guys), and made our bevvie choices. Tonic with lime for me (I'm behaving rn) and an Old Fashioned for wifey. Killer. We skipped the appetizer course and ended up ordering off the specials menu for both meals. She got braised brisket with deviled egg potato salad (fantastic!) and I got grilled Amberjack with roasted Brussels, topped with pickled peppers, onion, capers, and a drizzle of olive oil and Crema. Did I mention this place has a rustic atmosphere, and cozy feel, AND a Michelin recco without a dress code required?!? We had Lemon Buttermilk Icebox pie for dessert... MY GODS. This pile of words I just typed doesn't do this place justice. Chef Link has got something special going here, and his butcher shop next door is totally groovy too. I can't rave enough about this place, and I wish it wasn't so dang far from Texas, but hey, it's just another in a list of damn fine reasons to come visit the fine folks of NoLa again.

I've never had crawfish and seeing it was crawfish season we were destined to be here. We built out our own seafood boil, which included, 1lb shrimp head off, 2 soft shell crab clusters, 1lb crawfish, corn, potato, and sausage. Let's just say we left with a pretty big leftovers box We ordered the hot house flavor and do not regret it one bit! Our server was so kind to show us how to peel and eat the crawfish and honestly it was so fun!! I will definitely be back next time in New Orleans!! One quick note I will say that I learned from a local that I wish I knew before this feast (And you should double check with staff if this info is correct). Most seafood boil places in the area when they have headless shrimp it is farmed and brought in from outside retailers where if you get head-on it's from local ships in the area/fresh caught. Apparently they've been struggling and if you want to support New Orleans local fisherman then go for the head-on shrimp. Again double check with staff if their head-on shrimp is local cuz I learned this information after visiting.
