A few friends and I decided to stop by Grayson's based on reviews during our drive back from a weekend in Port Angeles, and I have to say, I was happily surprised! I'll be the first to admit that when we first walked in, I wasn't expecting anything "spectacular," given that I'm not typically a big sandwich lover but wow... these sandwiches were full of flavor! We ordered a variety of items, including: - Fried Chicken Sando - Short Rib Grilled Cheese (the favorite!!!) - Pesto Melt - Seasonal salad wrap + Fried Chicken (this was super tasty, also!) - & all were served with a side of house fries :-) I'll get the con out of the way -- the pesto melt could've used a bit more flavor, in my opinion. 10,000% recommend. We were gonna be driving through PA on the way to our campground and found this place on Yelp. A gem indeed. It wasn't busy when we arrived but everything is made to order so expect to wait a little while for your food. A couple eating outside of the entrance stopped everyone on the way in raving about the food and recommending the friend chicken sandwich and prime rib grilled cheese. You order at the counter and they deliver the food to your table and you bus your own tables. The food was so delicious... tried the prime rib grilled cheese, fried chicken (as a side, not the sandwich), jerk tacos and their seasoned fries. Get one or all of these things if you go in, you will not be disappointed. The flavor of the tacos was really nice and I would get that if I visited again. The grilled cheese was really good but really heavy if you ate the whole sandwich and fries but a food coma would be worth it. The fried chicken was extra crispy by itself and had a nice kick with pepper. I bet the sandwich is divine - again, would surely induce a food coma. And the seasoned fries had a subtle sweetness to it, which was a surprise. The seasoning is reddish and you would expect spice but no. And it's their homemade (secret) seasoning. It was a nice, clean space. Open with a couch and table in the middle for eating and smaller tables against the wall of the restaurant. You could have a larger group in here if the small tables aren't taken and push them together. About two small tables out front.... Will return if in the area. Wow, this restaurant is a mixture cool and smooth. Upon accidentally finding this place, I already knew I would love it. They have both unique and traditional food options. Their menu items vary from breakfast, lunch, and dinner and I promise you that each menu item will make you squeel with delight. The flavors and the price of the food is spot on and makes it both affordable and delicious for the person who is on a budget. The interior is like a lounge and a restaurant. There a large sofa, a kids play kitchen, and regular dining tables. Eveything feels smooth, cool, and elegant. This is definitely a place where you and some friends/a date can sit and hangout for a few hours. Parking is plentiful, even during busy rush hours there is still many parking options available even as the business shares the parking areas with other businesses in the shopping center. This is a cute modern-interior local restaurant in Port Angeles! Very clean inside, including the bathrooms. Plenty of room to allow for social distancing between tables. My husband and I ordered the fried chicken sando, which came with a big portion of fries! The sando was very tasty and perfect for our craving that day. Keep in mind the lunch menu starts at 10:30 on weekdays, and 11am on weekends- they do have a yummy looking breakfast menu before then. I would love to try the breakfast sando next time. It was pretty okay. The main con is that their indoor seating, which looks lovely, is closed. Not their fault, but it's important to know, especially in the winter. They do have blankets available if you want to sit outside, which helps a little. But your food gets cold super fast outside. At least server was really nice, so that was a pro. They don't have fresh eggs- they only do scrambled, a dead giveaway that they're making the eggs from a powder or mix. The French toast was good though. The biscuit was great. My wife and I visited Grayson's for breakfast. It's a burger joint at heart, I think, but an elevated one. We had a weird interaction with the guy at the counter, during which he tried to convince my wife she only needed two slices of bacon because "they're a quarter inch thick". After we sat down, the actual counter person appeared to help the next customer--we'd been talking to the cook, which explained things. I got the breakfast burrito and she got a side of bacon and a side of hash browns. It was all excellent! I'm not used to getting a breakfast burrito made fresh to order. This one was hot off the flat top and the flavors were very well balanced. My wife likes her bacon extra crispy, and after the odd interaction at the counter, we were both expecting floppy, thick bacon. It was thick, not a quarter inch as stated, but an eighth or more for sure, but it had been perfectly rendered to the crispy texture she's after. The hash browns were a beautiful golden brown all over. I suspect they're cooked on the flat top and then deep fried. Really nice crispy crunch on the outside, but still moist and tender on the inside. I'm definitely looking forward to checking out lunch here the next time I'm in PA. read more

Phenomenal food! My husband went into a bit of a trance eating his short rib grilled cheese. He stopped talking, his eyes glazed over and he was chewing slowly to savor each bite. My burger was so good! Nothing fancy but it was all a burger should be; a nice char on the edges of the patties, cheese melting over the edges and threatened to drip off, crispy chiffonade of lettuce, the perfect dill pickle slices and a house made 1000 island that could make you weep. This spot doesn't look like much from the outside as it's tucked into a strip. But the inside is hip and very chill like. Menu is short but worth it in our opinion. My husband and I split the Big Breakfast and half of the biscuits and gravy. We absolutely loved the eggs and the biscuits and gravy. Bacon is bacon and so is bread. Cute little bottles of coffee and kombucha available along with other drinks. Coffee is brewed and ready to pour from a carafe. I grab post hike fried chicken almost weekly out of different places around the ONP. I love fried chicken, especially post hike. But this was the Best fried chicken I have ever had!! Then throw that perfect fried chicken on a perfect bun, with perfect pickles, tomatoes, cheese and sauce and you've just made my lunch (and day) fantastic! French fried were good too- different but enjoyed them. Probably won't crave them like I will their fried chicken sandwich, but enjoyable while there. Great vibe, a few tables outside too.
