Denver location is superior. We've been going to Great Scott's for decades. We used to go to this location since it is closer to us than the one on Cortez Street near Hwy36 and Pecos, but we have been going to the Cortez location for several months now due to the better quality food and a somewhat better brighter/cheerier atmosphere. When we stopped going to the Broomfield location, it was because I ordered the Corned Beef Hash breakfast and asked for my toast to be "lightly toasted". When the meal came to our table, the toast was burnt and so was the hash. Obviously, it should not have been cooked this way, but the server should have noticed and not served it. Recently, we decided to try the Broomfield location again. The service was fine, but the quality of the food was subpar compared to the Cortez location. Our sandwiches were fine, but the soup had very little beef in it and the fruit bowl only had 2 types of fruit. The soup at the Cortez location always has plenty of beef (too much for my wife!) and the fruit cup usually has at least 3 types of fruit. In summation, the Broomfield location is okay, but not as good as the Denver location. I would probably give the Denver location 5 stars for what it is, i.e. a nice family diner with good food and reasonable prices (better all around than Gunther Toody's). read more

I've really been craving a solid hash house in the Denver area and Great Scott! I think I've found it. We went on the Sabbath for brunch and God Bless this place did not disappoint. From the Non-GMO, gluten free, USDA organic water on the rocks, to the pipin' panny cakes, to their milkshakes that are sure to bring all the bois to the yard, the food was nothing short of excellent at a more than fair price. And as someone that forks down a quarter pound of microwave bacon a week, these are some thicc, perfectly cooked rashers if I must say so myself. All "lols" aside, what really made our experience stand out was our outstanding service from Jackie. She went above and beyond to serve us, often addressing our needs before we even knew we had them. In addition to this, she was very professional and personable. This kind of service is hard to find during busy peak restaurant hours, let alone at a high class steakhouse anymore. We really appreciate Jackie's prompt and thoughtful service to the point that it was memorable for all of us. My review history will tell you I'm not afraid to serve up some yelp disasters and don't just hand out 5 star reviews, but stars die so we may live, and I don't want this restaurant to go anywhere. Sat at the counter for at least another five minutes while the server joked and laughed with to others right in front of me without acknowledging my presence at all. Keep in mind, it was 1pm on a Monday, i was the only person at the counter, and the rest of the place was nearly empty... So i walked out. I don't know how this place has returned customers anymore. Or how they have a business at all. This is the way it is every time I go in there. Came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Small place, parking was limited and it was packed on the inside with people from the age of 40+. Was quickly seated, server got drink orders came back shortly and than took my meal order. Very quick service, food was pretty good and very affordable for the portion size you get. The server brought me a drink refill without asking, so I couldn't ask for anything more. The only negatives were the table was a little gross and sticky and that lack of parking. Having to go park near the train tracks behind the place is a little sketchy. Overall though I would eat here again and try other meals. read more

This is our neighborhood diner. We're here at the minimum of 3 times a week. We're never disappointed. The menu offers a large variety of delicious items. A full bar has been added recently. The staff is always friendly and efficient. The cooks do a consistently amazing job! The food has never been prepared anything less than perfect, always fresh ingredients. In the last decade we've met delightful employees and it's always bittersweet when someone leaves to pursue other adventures. For being a busy Saturday morning rush, The menu was filled with so many mouthwatering dishes that it was hard for me to choose only one. I called to get a credit because the breast, the item with the most meat and white they told me when I called in they ran out. They should have told me that when I was there.
