Wow this place was just ok yes of course their burrito was great but I've had better , and prices are pretty up there. So if you prefer a better taco place then just go up the street. Service was a little hectic slow, since it was really packed. Had to wait a few times to get even ice water or get a refill of water with a lot of people waiting means it was pretty chill just a lot of people since it's summertime so it's just an a ok restaurant . I would maybe try it again but just for coffee or something but not for lunch or anything like that.

My friends and I came for a pretty late lunch, and it was busier than expected for 3pm, but no wait for a table. We sat in the cute outdoor patio area under some shade on a really nice day. Our server was friendly and gave my friend recommendations when he asked. I ordered the Pisco Passion and Swim Club sandwich with sweet potato fries. The drink was light and refreshing. The sandwich was delicious with all the flavors combining well together, and the fries were nice and crisp. I do think it's a tad expensive, but I had a good experience there and would consider going back.

Got to stop here with my family after a 12 mile bike ride from Manhattan Beach...they SERVED! Best coffee I had my two weeks in the area, unbeatable acai bowl, delicious sandwhich and beautiful atmosphere. They were steadily busy but the service never missed a beat. I'm still dreaming of my latte - yes you should get two.

I stopped by for lunch and ordered the salmon bowl with a green juice, and both were so fresh and flavorful. I don't usually come here for bowls, but this one completely won me over. Gabby was amazing! super kind, attentive, and checked in throughout my meal even with how busy it was. Great service and such a perfect spot for a healthy, quick lunch during the workday

I was looking for a place to meet a friend near the ocean. The menu at this restaurant looked delicious and we decided to give it a try. There is both indoor and patio dining. The vibe is casual and beach chic. All of the food is delicious and this is one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The restaurant has very few parking spaces on site. The only downside is that the paid parking is ridiculously expensive. Anywhere from $10 to 15 minutes to an hour, $20 for two hours and the price goes up and up. There is one hour metered parking nearby which isn't very convenient if you have to keep going back to refill the meter. If you're lucky you might find distant street parking that is unpaid. This is nothing against the restaurant, but as Venice as a city in general. High prices like these without any special validation, are sure to keep people from coming to these places at all if you can't afford it. Perhaps that's how Venice would like to keep it. Only people who can afford the parking are allowed to enjoy these businesses.

Entire experience was fantastic from hostess to paying the bill. I didn't have a reservation, hostess sat me immediately and she was really friendly and cute (respectfully). The ambiance was very chill California energy (I'm from New York lol), which I loved. The decor also was giving spa vibes in a good way. Byredo hand soap in the restroom, okayyyy! My server Joshua was super friendly and attentive, appreciated his good energy. Breakfast menu had a lot of delicious sounding options but I went for the breakfast burrito with hot sauce and it was fantastic. Breakfast burritos are very hit or miss IMO and this was a hit. I also had two cappuccinos bc I am a caffeine fiend and also jet lagged and they were both very good. Highly recommend to anyone in the neighborhood. I just realized they have other locations throughout LA too which I'm sure are also good but this one did not disappoint at all.

I came to visit a friend and this was one of our first stops straight off the plane. Everything on the menu sounded amazing but we ended up sharing the avocado dip, a breakfast burrito, and finished with the diavola pizza. Yummy food!!! Eddie is fantastic and the sweetest! We had great service and my favorite thing about him was that after he learned I love sauce, he kept bringing different in house made sauces for me to try. This restaurant is so beautiful and sitting on the patio was a great start to our afternoon!

Came here on a Sunday looked for reservations they were booked so we walked up and were able to be seated right away. No wait at all. Parking is annoying we parked across the street for $10. It was pretty packed but the food was good, service was good, we had our pup so it's nice to have outdoor seating even the indoor seating insane indoor so we sat inside outside. Walked around the beach afterwards because we had time left and we paid for parking. It's a really busy area but overall the experience was good

Strolled through Venice Beach and stopped by this much-talked-about spot (thankfully had a reservation!). The place was buzzing and had such a great vibe inside. We didn't catch our server's name, but she was an absolute delight - warm, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. We started with her recommendation, the Diavoli pizza--thin crust, perfectly done, and the salami tasted more like pepperoni (exactly what we were hoping for). For mains, my husband had the shrimp pasta, and my sister and I shared the salmon curry. Both dishes were good, but the salmon curry truly stood out--rich, flavorful, and paired with sweet potato, chickpeas, and black rice, which was such a unique and delicious surprise. Ended the meal with a chocolate mousse, and honestly... perfection. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you're around Venice Beach!

Had an absolutely incredible experience at Great White -- easily a 5-star spot. The breakfast burrito was unreal -- perfectly packed, super flavorful, and honestly one of the best I've had. You can tell everything is fresh and thoughtfully put together. Then we got the margarita pizza, and it did not disappoint -- crispy crust, great sauce, and just the right balance of cheese and basil. But what really sets this place apart is the outdoor atmosphere. Sitting outside in the heart of Venice Beach with the ocean breeze and that laid-back California energy is unbeatable. It's the kind of spot where you can relax, people-watch, and just enjoy the moment. Perfect food + perfect vibe = can't miss. I'll definitely be back.

Maybe not the place for you if you have a huge appetite at breakfast time

My review is specifically for their breakfast burrito. I've eaten it once before, a couple years ago and it was pretty great. Ordered the same thing (breaky burrito with no bacon, but avocado instead) and it just wasn't up to par. It's always crowded so maybe just an off day? Regardless, this is LA so you have plenty of breakfast burrito spots to choose from. On the weekends, it's a bit chaotic inside and not the best organization so be patient. I might give it another whirl if I find myself back in Venice Beach and craving a burrito. Or maybe I'll try something else for a change. Albeit crowded, ambience is open and welcoming for groups.

I've been coming to this place for several times and food is always great! I always order toast and poached eggs, and extra add ons. Service thought on the other hand is always slow. My servers most of the time only present to take my food order, barely come back to check during my meal. I would always have to wait over 15 minutes after I finished my plate and sometimes it's quite bothersome to look around for my server to close out. Something good, something could be better.

Came here with my friend who lives best the marina o really enjoyed the ambience & food was mediocre!! I would come here for drinks not the food! Wings were fried too much fish tacos were over priced and mediocre the salmon curry was the most favorable.

When we arrived, the entrance was constantly blocked by the hostess and security chatting. One staff member told me to head to the bar to order, but security then acted like I was doing something wrong. A little communication between staff would go a long way. At the bar, I was skipped twice while waiting to order. When I pointed it out, the bartender told me to "hold on" while assisting a 3rd walk up after me. I asked if we could move to an open table with table service as there were many empty for ghe hour we had already been there and was told no because they were too busy. Fair enough, but that's exactly when management should be visible, coordinating staff and helping guests. Instead, when I spoke with a manager, the response was essentially that he was focused on the bar area. Good management oversees the entire operation, especially during peak periods. I was one of 5 people in our party who spent around $100 on food and drinks (apx $500 spent in total), yet the service was a mess. If it's self-service, that's fine...but make it clear and make it work. Instead, I was skipped at the bar while ordering, staff gave conflicting directions, and there was virtually no support once we had our food. We found ourselves constantly going back and forth to the bar for drinks, utensils, soy sauce, and anything else we needed. No one checked in, and getting help from staff or management was nearly impossible. The food was decent, but the customer experience wasn't. Venice Beach is always busy. This shouldn't come as a surprise. If you're going to market yourself as part of that vibrant community, you need the operational standards to match.

What a wonderful surprise…read more I live just around the corner from Jamaica Bay Inn, and for whatever reason, it took me far too long to finally have dinner here with family and friends. I wish I'd discovered it sooner. The restaurant overlooks Mother's Beach, and the setting is exactly what you'd hope for: peaceful, relaxed, and quintessential Marina del Rey. You almost expect the view to be the highlight... Then the food shows up. For appetizers, we shared the hummus plate and the calamari. Both were excellent. As someone whose kids were practically raised eating seafood around the ports of New England, calamari is one of those deceptively simple dishes we judge pretty harshly. Beachside absolutely passed the test. I ordered the cheeseburger, which was solid, but the real stars of the evening were the roasted Jidori chicken and the jumbo shrimp fettuccine. The chicken was perfectly juicy, something that sounds easy but surprisingly few restaurants consistently get right. The shrimp fettuccine completely stole the show. In fact, it's now become my daughter's regular takeout order, and she's easily the toughest pasta critic in our family. Congratulations... you've officially earned the title of our favorite pasta spot in the Marina. The service was another highlight. Our server spoke both German and Italian, had a great sense of humor, and made the evening feel warm and effortless. Between the location, the food, and the hospitality, I already know this is going to become one of our regular family dinner spots.

The food came out and I could immediately SEE The Unappetizing . It's special when you can tell that your food is going to be bad before you take one bite. The French toast was Sahara dry, burned and flavorless. The chicken, was competing with it in the dry and flavorless category-- I really can't say which was worse. I don't really use hot sauce and I drowned the tenders in Cholula just to make it halfway edible. Literally we could have waited for the AMC chicken tenders and they would have been better, which is horrifying. Particularly when you try to avoid fried food in general and now you are poisoning your body for no good reason. Husband ordered a steak and eggs, medium well. I'll attach the picture and I'll let you be the judge of whether or not it was cooked properly. Eggs were not good either. Immediately, I gave hubby more than half my plate because he eats All of Everything that's put in front of him. Something would have to get up and walk off his plate for him to not eat it. He was taught not to waste food, period. The exception was steak so that he could take it home, cook it, and then eat it. This was possibly the worst meal I've ever had, and certainly on a special occasion. The menu changes EVERY WEEK and the fact that the ingredients are so seasonal, and the chef really seems to takes pride and passion in creating different dishes so often, keeps me coming back each time. They have done specials from Sunday Night $35 7-course omakase to 50% off Neighborhood Patio nights to $65 for two 4-course date nights and the quality is so worth it. I even came by for an art class hosted on the patio since they hold multiple community events, including sports watch parties. The best yellowtail I've had (including eating in Japan and various sushi spots in LA, OC, SF, and NY) was surprisingly here, at a place I was honestly hesitant to even order sushi from. It's the first time I actually really could taste the flavor as it's more subtle than tuna, salmon, or albacore but they somehow made it incredibly memorable from the freshness. Definitely order the hamachi with pomegranate. I loved the flavor with the ponzu and that it wasn't just the basic jalapeño combo. There was a Singaporean crab garlic butter noodle dish they made once that was incredible though sadly seemed to be on the menu that time only. This was my absolute favorite entree they've offered so far. The gem lettuces Caesar salad is amazing although unfortunately, both times I've ordered it without cheese, they forgot. The boquerones (anchovies) are a gem (ha) that really adds to the salad and I love the texture from the herb crust. Their signature shrimp toast has a good crunch from the sesame seeds and distinct pieces of shrimp rather than mush inside and the ikura on top adds another good layer of flavor. The vegetable curry was rich, flavorful, and savory witbout being too heavy with perfectly cooked potatoes that didn't just hide in the sauce in a way that actually didn't make me miss the meat. The short rib curry had such tender meat and the roti made in house was actually a major highlight for me as it was so flaky, hot, crispy and had an amazing garlic flavor. The chocolate pot de creme had a good orange zest flavor to add to the chocolate and wasn't too rich or heavy though the texture was thicker. The calamari had super crispy batter so didn't associate it as much with a lighter tempura one but the lemons in it and the roasted garlic marinara sauce it came with were so good and added a lot of depth. The butter curry prawns has SUCH well cooked shrimp - flavor was amazing. Miso salmon was good though crispy skin side up would have been better personally. I liked the olive oil flavor in the vinaigrette and the lemon with veggies on the side as well. The tres leches was surprisingly light for a cake and very moist so I enjoyed a lot and the caramel ice cream wasn't overly sweet. The lychee vodka drink is my favorite (came with a drink pairing they offered with Sunday omakase) and the imperial gold yuzu cocktail is better for those who like a stronger drink. The grilled asparagus was cooked to a tenderness with great flavor from the crispy onions on top that have somehow made it among my top favorite dishes here, despite it just being a small side vegetable dish but I didn't like asparagus until this! I would definitely recommend coming here for dinner over brunch personally, as those have been my most memorable bites. Definitely order the yellowtail sashimi, shrimp toast, gem lettuces Caesar salad! Hoping the garlic butter crab noodles, grilled asparagus with crispy onions, and housemade roti reappear on the dinner menu!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and even without a reservation, they were able to seat us right away. Definitely 5 stars for service and not being rude, but friendly and attentive even at a busy time (World Cup was on tv!). I heard alllll about the happy hour specials so I was stoked when we were able to get the best outdoor seating and the happy hour was going on until 7pm he said. So naturally, ordered a bunch of things to try. Unfortunately, that was a solid 3 stars for me. It was just fine. I was actually bummed because I was so excited to try the menu items. They were okay. Ordered sliders (kinda dry and without flavor), Parmesan fries (seasoning was there but not very flavorful and the sauce was bland, the krab rangoons resembled egg rolls (that was new!) and fish tacos were meh. My friend ordered the chicken and it came with fries (the dish not happy hour selection) and that looks more substantial but maybe not worth $32. The drink was sweet (pink lady). Outdoor vibes were cool and def a great spot at the end of 3rd street but probably wouldn't come here for the food. Again, indoor (big tv!!) and outdoor set up was awesome, but food is just okay. Great for large groups but make a reservation!
