Problem solved in under an hour, no expensive service call, the only expense was 2 quarts of oil. After two years, they don't really owe us anything, but clearly they care about their customers. One thing that stood out immediately was that their pricing was highly competitive with the other companies I considered. While pricing was important, what really set SunMade apart was that they hold both solar and roofing licenses. This gave me additional confidence because I previously had a bad experience with another solar company that damaged my roof, failed to fix the problem, and later went out of business, leaving me to pay for the repairs myself. Our sales representative, Jon Bernal, was professional, patient, and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. There was one item that the system designer later clarified, and although it wasn't a major issue, Jon personally reached out to notify me of the changes. That level of integrity and accountability meant a lot to me and demonstrated that he genuinely cares about his customers. The installation crew was professional, arrived on time, kept the work area clean, and communicated well throughout the process. After installation, I noticed a section of concrete that had become uneven due to settling. I contacted SunMade, and they returned within days to correct the issue and followed up to ensure everything was satisfactory. That kind of customer service is becoming increasingly rare. The entire process moved efficiently. Our first meeting with Jon was on March 28, we signed on March 30, the system was installed on April 27, the meter collar was installed on May 13, and we received Permission to Operate about a week later. Jon also helped us identify and secure available rebates. I would also like to thank Tara in the office. When I needed copies of my contract documents, she provided them promptly and without hesitation. Another positive observation is that the owner, Oz, appears to be actively involved with the company and personally responds to customer reviews. I noticed this during my initial research and felt it reflected a company that values customer feedback and satisfaction. At the time of this review, SunMade Solar Energy held an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Based on my experience, they delivered competitive pricing, excellent communication, professional workmanship, and outstanding customer service. I would not hesitate to recommend SunMade Solar Energy to anyone considering solar for their home.

My performance car had larger tires on the back, I go in to get a rotation and they put the larger tires on the front, yep! Once more for the people in the back, the larger tires are on the FRONT! It's clearly marked on the inside of the door, and it's a car, your service center is the manufacturer! And you can't read and you don't know the product. I had a rattle in the door, they gas light me and act like it's not happening. More than 5 appointments later... it's finally fixed. But when I ask them point blank, are you putting all new clips in the door when you put it back together? They say "No, only if they break." Just do it right the first time. I mean honestly I took this car in around 11 times in the 18 months I owned it. I had gas cars that I serviced less and had less issues with. Finally, they don't call you back and they just don't fix ANYTHING! No matter what or how you try to get the service, or how much you pay, they don't fix things. Do yourself a favor and get a different car from a different manufacturer. You'll have less headaches. Oh and maybe the other dealership will actually give you a ride to work, instead of acting like a luxury car payment is worth you paying for a cab or hitching a ride with friends. If you own a Tesla, take it somewhere else for service. While I loved my car, she was the best, so much fun, and I wish I could have stayed with her. But it turns out her family is just unbearable. So we broke up and now I found someone else and I couldn't be happier.

I hired Elite Landscaping in late September 2025 to perform a full sprinkler inspection and repair…read moreany broken or misaligned components throughout my property. During the initial walkthrough, Ernesto suggested converting my backyard drip system to an above-ground sprinkler system. I agreed to this upgrade. Ernesto brought a crew to perform the work but left them unsupervised. The project took two days, and I was later informed via text that the job had been completed. Upon returning home, I found my backyard in shocking, unacceptable condition. The black lava rock in my in-ground and raised flower beds had been buried beneath dirt or scattered in piles throughout the yard. Some of my yard décor had also been damaged. When Ernesto returned that evening, he expressed surprise at the condition and acknowledged the work had not been completed properly. He subsequently had additional lava rock delivered and attempted to restore the backyard landscaping to its original form. In addition to the landscaping issues, his crew caused significant damage to my irrigation system. Multiple in-ground sprinkler valves were broken in both the front and backyard, and a water line was damaged, resulting in water flowing into the street. Ernesto requested that I pay for replacement of the valves, which I refused, as the system was fully functional prior to his team beginning work. He later returned to repair several underground leaks that had resulted from the installation. In late February or early March 2026, I discovered that none of the backyard sprinklers--including those servicing the grass and flower beds--were functioning. Due to recent rainfall, the issue was not immediately apparent. When I notified Ernesto, he claimed the issue was due to a faulty timer and suggested I would need to pay for a replacement. I declined, as the system had been fully operational prior to his involvement. As of today, March 27, 2026, I have now confirmed that the system is improperly functioning in the front and backyard areas, including all of the flower beds. Many sprinkler heads are either overspraying well beyond intended areas or spraying in the wrong direction entirely. Additionally, the system design is causing excessive water pooling in several areas due to improper sprinkler head selection and placement. As a result, I have been forced to hire a new landscaping and irrigation company to redesign and repair the entire system in both the front and backyard. For the record, I only paid 50% of the original quoted amount, which, given the extent of the damage and incomplete work, and that I now have to pay a "qualified" business to restore everything, was an amount more than the value of the services Elite Landscaping provided.

Last Monday evening, we went to turn on the furnace, and nothing! I called an HVAC company to have them come out and fix. They said they could come by wednesday, but they didn't come out or call me to let me know they couldn't make it. I called them on Friday (Thursday was Thanksgiving) and their message said they wouldn't be in until Monday. Monday afternoon I called them to see if they were coming out and the reply was that they had noticed I had called, and "Did I still need them to come out?". I told them that I would look for other service providers. I looked on online for HVAC companies that are reps for my brand of unit. There are six, three of which had review ratings of 4 or more. When I looked at Greer's Banner Air website, I was impressed by their "Troubleshooting" guide, so I called them late monday afternoon. They were able to send a tech out tuesday afternoon. Rueben, the tech arrived 15 minutes into the 2 hour arrival window. He was professional, courteous, and prompt. He went up on the roof to check the unit out. Forty minutes later, he knocked on the door and told me that the control circuit board had a blown fuse, which he had replaced, and he also replaced the shorted wire that had caused the fuse to blow. I will only be using Greer's Banner Air for future work, and I wholeheartedly recommend them. read more

They found a replacement motor and came out the next morning as promised. Great service, fair prices and honest people. PS - A good friend from Arizona who is the best AC guy I know diagnosed the problem with me over the phone before Banner came out so I knew the problem before they arrived, and sure enough with out any input from me they correctly determined the problem within minutes. Our A/C went out on the same morning that a pipe sprang a leak at home. With most contractors putting us off for hours or even days when we called for "emergency" service, Greer's rearranged their day a bit to work us in promptly. Jessica was empathetic and responsive over the phone, and Michael did fast, crackerjack work fixing our A/C unit and clearing a clog in its drain pipe (even without water, which we had to turn off to control the heavy leak). Michael went above and beyond with his communications and creative solutions, and his ingenuity kept us cool for a few more hours, until the plumbers could replace our broken pipes and get the water back on. Our AC went out last night in the middle of this heat wave. Called Greer's Banner Air this morning thinking that I would be lucky to see a repairman by the end of the week. To my surprise I was told they would be here today between 1 and 3. I received a text and a call confirming my technician - Joe was on his way. Amazing service and integrity!!! Called on a Sunday morning because the AC went out in the middle of the night. Service Tech Kent called back within an hour. Kent didn't want to have to charge me the $180 call out fee (to come out on a Sunday in Taft) when my set of AC symptoms usually pointed to something minor; so instead, he went through some troubleshooting tips with me and PRESTO! problem solved, free of charge. Kept flaking on the days they scheduled us. This third time their replacement part failed We called another company to come and look at it. The tech showed us what was rigged to replace the parts they said they replaced. They cut off certain components to make things "function". When you pay for service you expect to have the job done right not have things rigged to "make things work". Have some integrity Central California Air......

If I shut the system off for a while and turned it back on, it would sometimes work again--but the problem was inconsistent and difficult to reproduce. What really impressed me was South Valley AC & Heating's commitment to making it right. They came back out three additional times as a courtesy to diagnose the problem. The first two visits were challenging because the compressor was working normally when they arrived, so there wasn't an obvious issue to find. On the third visit, they happened to arrive while the compressor was acting up, which allowed them to identify and fix the problem. I really appreciated that they stood behind their work and didn't give up just because the issue was intermittent. They were professional, responsive, and genuinely wanted to make sure my AC was working properly before considering the job finished. It's easy to provide good service when the problem is obvious. It's much harder to stick with a customer through an intermittent issue, and that's exactly what South Valley AC & Heating did. I am sharing this review to document my full experience with McKenney's Air Conditioning, from…read moreservice through final resolution. McKenney's originally installed my HVAC system and later returned after water was visibly draining from the secondary condensate system, which their technician explained indicated the primary system was not functioning properly. During that visit, they determined the drain pan from their prior installation was unlevel and reworked the primary condensate drain line, including resoldering copper piping. Secondary safety sensors were also installed at that time. Despite this work, the system was left in a condition that later failed, resulting in sudden water damage inside my home. Emergency mitigation and repairs were required and paid for out of pocket. I made repeated good-faith efforts to resolve the issue directly with McKenney's and through their liability insurer. Their insurer later acknowledged in writing that the condensate drain configuration did not include a vent/standpipe, yet responsibility for the damage was still denied. McKenney's also refused to pay for emergency services that were verbally authorized at the time. I pursued the matter through small claims court but did not prevail. While the legal outcome was not in my favor, the facts of the loss never changed: water damage occurred, repairs were necessary, and the costs were real and documented. Ultimately, my homeowners insurance paid the claim and is now pursuing subrogation against McKenney's and/or their insurers. Subrogation means the insurance company steps into the homeowner's shoes to recover the money it paid from the party it determines is responsible. Insurance companies do not pursue subrogation unless they conclude there is a legitimate basis to do so. In my experience, this loss resulted from negligent and faulty workmanship, specifically the failure to leave the system in a properly functioning condition after service. This was a preventable failure that occurred only after McKenney's performed work on the system. The small claims outcome reflected a misunderstanding of how the loss occurred, not an absence of evidence, and left me carrying the burden until my insurer stepped in. In my opinion, homeowners should avoid McKenney's Air Conditioning. There are many reputable HVAC companies that stand behind their work, correct their own mistakes, and do not force customers through months of stress, escalation, and financial exposure to resolve preventable damage. Based on my experience, McKenney's did not demonstrate the level of care, accountability, or professionalism homeowners should expect when trusting a contractor with their home.

Between the "repairs" that we won;t guarantee wil FIX the problem, then the replacement costss -as recommended by first firm. We sent into sticker shock. Called a second opinion in just in case! Second opinion revealed that both "faults" first diagnosed were 100% wrong, the repairs were made in less than a day at a fraction of the costs. They approach their work like true engineers, with an incredible depth of knowledge and attention to detail. Just as importantly, they have always been exceedingly honest, straightforward, and fair with me. About ten years ago, Mr. Hawley replaced the air conditioning system at our condo and did a fantastic job. This summer, the roughly 30-year-old system at our current house finally gave out. Despite it being the middle of summer, Mr. Hawley squeezed us into the schedule in less than a week and gave us a very good deal on a new Daikin heat pump system. He spent a great deal of time explaining the differences between a heat pump and a traditional HVAC system, answering my questions, and helping me understand why it made sense for our house. I really appreciated being educated rather than simply sold a piece of equipment. Hawley is also one of the companies in Bakersfield with the expertise to install and properly configure these kinds of heat pump systems. The team did a fantastic job completely retrofitting our system, and the difference inside the house is remarkable. The temperature is much more consistent and comfortable, the system is highly efficient, and ours also includes an ionizing air-cleaning system that helps remove particles from the air. It is rare to find a company that combines this level of technical expertise with genuine integrity and customer service. Hawley Air Conditioning & Heating has earned my trust over many years, and they will continue to be the first people I call for any HVAC needs in the future. Highly recommended.

We purchased an inverter AC system from him and it was slightly more expensive than a standard AC unit, but much more energy efficient and half the foot print. The new system was up and running two days later and it is freezing inside. Ted went above and beyond to keep us out of the heat and we appreciate that very much. Great customer service and care !!

After…read morewaiting almost a month for an estimate and never getting one, I called Oasis after they were recommend by my neighbor. I was given an appointment the day after I called. Chris came out and figured out what I needed. He gave me an estimate that was reasonable, in my opinion including a warranty. I was sent an email contract that I signed immediately. Three days later, measurements were taken and I was told the install would happen the next Monday. Brody and Brian arrived on time and handled everything. They installed the A/C, smoke detectors and a carbon monoxide detector. I was shown how to use the new, fancy thermostat and they were done. I called the office to make my payment. Done! I'm so happy and so relieved...and so incredibly cool!
