Been here twice, and there will never be a third time. My life is coffee - I cannot ever be without it. The first time I came to this location in August, I gave my coffee order, and the coffee was adequate, nothing special. But, today I thought I'd give it another shot, and what a mistake. First, I walked in to the surface of the sun; it was so hot I had to double breathe for a minute to acclimate. I ordered a hot coffee and said, "extra half and half." I get the coffee, and it's dark brown, almost black. So, now I have to make a trip back to the counter, and the girl puts in a teaspoon size of half and half. I just looked at her and said, "more." Why do I need to tell people how to do their jobs? That seems to be a task I encounter at many places! The reason for this review is the sandwich I ordered. You all advertise a big, puffy croissant sandwich in the display case, but the picture is what you'll actually get: a flat-as-paper disguise for food. I'll stick to anywhere else but here. read more

It's located at a major intersection and right next to it their is a Path station, so it's easy to visit whenever I'm coming in from NYC. I walked in an hour before close on a monday (today!) to grab a s'mores brownie. You need to watch them choose it. I walked back to my hotel and had a burnt corner brownie that was hard as a rock. I am just so sick of this place. The food takes forever and the food isn't even all that great to begin with. The customer service sucks. They will all work behind the counter making something, leaving no one at the register. They don't even acknowledge you when you walk in the door, even if the line is long. A simple "hello, I'll be right with you" would suffice. They just avoid eye contact until someone decides to come take your order. It's extremely annoying. Gregory's isn't just great for their coffee, but their snacks and treats as well! The power bites are great, with my favorite being the peanut butter banana bite. Just this week I decided to try the avo toast. I've been going to Gregory's for years, and not sure how I waited this long to try the toast! Absolutely amazing! I ordered through the Caviar app (serviced through DoorDash). I ordered the Iced Blind Date because it looked like an interesting coffee drink--wanted to try something different, but never got the chance since they never gave the drink to the driver. I tried calling the store several times but it just keeps ringing, no one answers. Food: I got the Deluxe (turkey sausage, egg, cheese on a croissant)--as you can see from the pic, this arrived looking broken/unappetizing and was stone cold with hard congealed cheese on a burnt, tasteless croissant (was this days old? It didn't taste fresh at all)! The banana-chocolate muffin looks like a moist chocolate base in the pic they have on the app but tasted neither like banana nor chocolate--it was very dry & tasteless except for the chocolate chips. The cherry cacao bite was hard as a rock. The banana pudding was pretty good. The "Get Up Greg" pressed juice was fine, but it would be pretty hard to mess juice up. Placed an order for a Triple Fruit smoothie; there was two people in front of me in line, and no one behind me. They forgot to make my smoothie for 20 minutes until I asked about it, twice. It was partially my fault for not realizing that there's no espresso in this "latte" but I was more disappointed that it tasted exactly like milk with no additional flavor. I wish there was more of a kick to it...it tasted just like milk! I also tried the regular latte here and it tasted better, closer to what you'd expect of your standard and traditional latte but still on the weaker side. The coffee shop as a whole has a nice open setup with a convenient location near the Newport PATH station. One star because of the bathroom smell kills my mood! The moment I walk into the store, I smell pee even in the seating area. As I walk into the bathroom, I was shocked one guy just cleaned it, it looks fine but it smells terrible!!! I start to wonder if it is the same situation with their drink, looks fine but in fact not hygiene. The manager / store has to do better job keep this place clean / no pee smell. Also when there is order waiting to be made, please stop flirting with customer standing next to the side.
