Not good. Coffee was subpar and unflavorful. I was disappointed in the lack of options and the poor service.

The chai latte is delicious. Good for coffee snobs who don't mind spending the $$.

I asked if I could pay the difference and get a different drink. The manager was so sweet. Amazing. The baristas are some of the nicest baristas I've ever had the pleasured of being served by. Genuinely, I've never had a barista tell me, "Hope you have a great day!" And when he made my drink, he put a lot of whip cream on top, so when I put the top on, the whip cream kinda exploded; he offered to REMAKE IT. Literally the only thing that happened what that I got whip cream on my hand. So nice and gracious. So refreshing. Do yourself a favor and get over here. Not only is the service great, but the coffee is delicious. This is absolutely my new go-to coffee place. Price is good considering it's in Midtown. It's in a great location. Hard to find a spot to sit sometimes because it's always got people working, but if you can, you're in for some great coffee, great music, great service, and a very aesthetically pleasing stay. read more

For single origins, brewing methods, and sheer passion put into their coffee, this place far exceeds anything in midtown, and goes toe-to-toe with the best in Manhattan and Brooklyn. If you're looking for espresso, however, I recommend Filicori Zecchini down 46th St. on the other side of Madison (about 30 seconds away). read more

I love this place! They were open late when I was having a serious caffeine withdrawal headache and I couldn't find another place open. Actually, that's not true. There was another place open, but they only had soy milk alternative ~ no thanks! I made a solo trip to the city for the first time and they made me feel so welcome! Ben and Jen and another girl Ben was working with my first visit (sorry, didn't get her name :( ) were awesome baristas and now I call them friends. I went back every day after I found them. Amazing coffee, one of the best lattes I've had, and they make their own baked goods right there. *warning* the wafting baking smells will get you! Best donuts! My wife and I stumbled upon this place while looking for a non-chain coffee shop. We got the cold brew which was good....but what really stood out were the donuts! The glazed donut was the best donut I've ever had; it was puffy and made fresh every day. We went back and tried the whole wheat glazed donut which was a little more cake-like. I only wish they had more than two types of donut...I definitely recommend this place :-) read more

Great coffee and pastries to be had here. I've accepted the price tag that comes with this kind of place (multiple kinds of coffee beans to choose from, employees wearing cool glasses, etc), and if you have too, Gregory's is worth checking out. Excellent single-serve french press with at least three options that change daily. They were very sweet about the wait time associated with this kind of coffee prep. The brownie I had was a decadent chocolate bomb, muffins are good too. There are a few sandwiches, other food items, smoothies, but if you're serious about coffee, Gregory's has all the benefits of multiple locations with none of the pains of a national chain. read more

At 9:30 every morning, I would roll out of bed at my hotel and walk across the street to gregory's. Where to begin...? To start off, this petite coffee shop has the most inviting and appealing decor. The mocha was consistently delectable every morning I went. Employees make design with milk at the top of every hot drink which makes each beverage different from the rest. As for the pastries, they make scrumptious bran muffins and exquisite s'mores bars! All the baked goods I tried tasted as great as they looked. Disclaimer: I am far, far, from being a coffee connoisseur. The people behind the counter were very friendly. Prices were comparable to Starbucks, but here it was more brightly lit and the tables seemed to be spaced further apart. The logo could not possibly be any more hipster, but it's a relaxed, friendly place. We shared a S'mores cookie, which was absolutely delicious, and I had a great latte in which they created a nice design. Overall this was a great place. Loved this place. It was the only place open at 5am when i came to NY for a business trip. LOVED it! And the espresso was bomb!

I definitely check out local coffee shops when traveling. Gregory's was one we stumbled upon when walking up and down the streets of NYC. My husband got a Red Eye, I got a caramel mach. We also tried a Hit & Run. The Hit & Run was strong and gave us a pep in our step! I asked for latte art in my drink, maybe because the drink was a mach the art wasn't the greatest, but still it was super tasty and I would take that over a super pretty design any day. The Red Eye was awesome too. Try a chocolate chip cookie, awesome price for an awesome cookie! YUM. read more

I'm not a big coffee drinker (it all tastes almost the same to me...) but I have had several of their baked treats. Their oatmeal cookies are awesome, as are the vegan bars. I've also had their Swiss oatmeal and yogurt parfaits. Good stuff! read more

another coffee joint that i found due to my walk home and some help from my yelp buddies. a bunch of these coffee joints are growing all over the city and good reason, good coffee, good pastries, good service and new modern sleek decor with a relaxing casual vibe. this spot is located on 46th st off madison and always seems to have a decent crowd, which i notice working to and from work everyday. two large windows sandwich the middle door entrance and its easy to peek inside without walking in, but this morning i think i will. nice long place with seating to the left with padded bench like seats and metal chairs on the opposite side. when you walk in to the right is the good stuff, the front counter with all the goodies on display, muffins, brownies, donuts, cronuts, crossiants and more(yummy). behind counter on top is full menu of hot and cold coffee drinks, smoothies and other coffee blends and teas, also juices are made fresh daily. you can purchase a few bags of coffee grinds for home ,a mug or some other coffee related products. in the back of the place, you can see a few of the workers making some yummy sweet stuff from scratch and its kinda interesting the process of it all. as for the prices compared to other coffee joints, i would say its fair and reasonable, my decaff cappy and blueberry muffin was cheaper then most other places and tastes better as a bonus. i took some cronuts and crossiants for work and my coworkers loved them as well. i like this place and i hope they expand to the mid and upper extreme east side. i am a semi gregular and its ok. p.s. free wifi and free sweet littles bites equals happy faces, and i saw plenty ,lol. read more

This place is incredible. I go almost daily, and it's always a pleasure. The manager, Max, is the friendliest, most helpful manager ever, and the baristas are incredibly well-trained. The coffee is phenomenal, and the pastries are all delicious and baked on premises. Their iced single origins from the aeropress are so rich and full of flavor notes that one needs no milk or sugar to enjoy. A true midtown gem. read more

Gregory's is a great place to stop in and get a coffee - the coffee and cookies, though definitely Manhattan prices, are yummy. The free wifi is a nice touch, and this location tends to have low enough levels of background noise that it's good for getting work done. Fantastic coffee. Actually, some of the best I have had in the United States. This being said, however, the baked goods are good but not great. This is the only reason in my opinion that this coffee chain loses one star. If I were rating solely on the coffee, I would give this an unreserved five stars. The coffee is decent, but I'm not sure how they're able to attend to the rush crowd in the morning because when I ordered when it wasn't so busy, I waited 10 minutes for a decaf latte. Frankly, if I was working there, I would've apologized and offered a free pastry. Just sayin'. read more

The Toilet generally will not work properly, spicificly it will offen times be clogged! (ewwww) and they run out of Toilet Paper in the morning because they forget to put in a new roll. The MUSIC is to loud! It is uncomfortable to have a conversation in this Gregory's location because of the inappropriately loud music. so, if You need to go number 2, or have a conversation, I would NOT reccomend the Gregory's on 46th. read more
