This is by far our favorite pizza place in Arizona. The crust is thin and chewy and always consistent. We love the spicy pepperonis as well. We keep it simple with a pepperoni pizza. Grimaldis, Pizza, and kids are a win-win! A group of 22 of us came here for a yummy lunch on a Sunday. We ordered a variety of pizzas, but my far favorite was the white pizza with spicy chicken sausage. The kids like the cheese and the pesto chicken ones. First of all, the vibes in this place. Sooo comfortable, classy and all around peaceful environment and we went there on a Friday night. It is first come first serve right now and it's pretty busy but this restaurant is well worth the wait. Here's a review a year later. Just had a pizza on 10/11 for their Monday special. Crust was changed again to go cheap! It's closer to Papa John's crust. No lie! I'm done with this location. Also we had dinner there one night in September & the AC was out! We sweated though our dinner & it was a horrible experience. They didn't even offer to discount our dinner. The Chandler location never has any of that. It's a longer drive for us, but definitely worth it. read more

If brick oven pizza pies aren't one of the best things on earth then I don't know what is?! In the last few weeks I have finally discovered Grimaldi's pizza and have I been missing out! I'm usually a fan of trying new restaurants and hidden gems so unfortunately I have not tried the popular "Brooklyn based pizzeria." Although this is a chain, it is incredibly delicious and I'm sad it has taken this long for me to give it a try! When my husband and I are now craving pizza, we both already know we want to build our own at Grimaldi's! We have been here twice and both times created our own pizza: red sauce, spicy chicken sausage, mushrooms, sweet red peppers and (the game changer) ricotta cheese! My mouth waters just thinking about the fresh slices. Overall, Grimaldi's is awesome and we are now definitely frequent flyers. I only rated his location with four stars because the service was not as positive as I would have liked. I ordered a glass of wine but only received the mini carafe and had to eventually go to the bar to ask for a glass. I would have even ordered dessert had my waitress asked, but unfortunately she seemed a little tired. Grimaldi's is my favorite pizza hands-down. I have been to this location a number of times and was most recently here with family. The pizza was excellent as always, and we had really great service once we were seated. However, it would seem the hosts could benefit from some training. I am guessing they were short-staffed because plenty of tables were open, but the restaurant was on a wait. Maybe it was their intention to drive people away to help the wait staff and kitchen catch up, but the hosts were quoting people 1.5-2 hours for a table. We agreed to go on a wait, although I saw a lot of people leave after hearing the wait time. I timed it; we waited 35 minutes until we were seated. That's okay, if we get there too early they have a scumdidliumcious Limonchello Martini I can enjoy while sharing a dinner salad to start our meal, as we wait for the ovens to get cleaned. Yes, there is a daily scraping of the ovens - plan your visit accordingly. We visited on 9-20 after a few errands. For our cocktail round, they have Stella on draft so that is the beau's go-to. I chose my Limonchello - never disappoints. We skipped our normal salad and chose to try the antipasto. This one is not served as a salad - yay! - instead it is coupled with savory crustry bread which we treated to a little olive oil & parm cheese. Oh it was enough to enjoy with a salad next time as the main meal. However, we came for pizza but couldn't decide which we wanted. So we agreed to two mediums leaving plenty for Saturday lunch. I let too much time go by and I can't remember what kind of pizza we ordered. I think one was pepperoni and the other had a mixture of sausage, and ricotta??!?! What a great find! My family and I actually ordered out for this place, and they did not disappoint! The pizzas were huge! I loved that the four cheese blend that we got had blue cheese in it, I think that is so unique and delicious. The thing that bummed me out was the black bottom of the pizza, the crumbs got everywhere and got stuck in our teeth, but I understand it's the way the pizzas are cooked. Prompt in making the pizzas, friendly customer service, plus the pizzas are absolutely delicious! The meats are great, and have just the right cook. Dined at Grimaldi's with the wife and kid after Easter Bunny pictures at the mall. No wait mid week but it was busy as most tables were full. The restaurant had fun decorations including neat light fixtures. Alanna was our server and was attentive and got the order correct. I ordered my usual lemonade which wasn't too sweet. We ordered the antipasto appetizer which was good but rather pricey for what you get. The bread was amazing. We had the pepperoni pizza for dinner and split the medium. It was enough food and we ended up bringing home a few pieces leftover. Didn't have dessert but had some menu items that looked good. We will most likely be back! read more

Grimaldi's has an awesome birthday club where you get a free traditional pizza up to $19 with any purchase for your birthday! This was a great motivator for us to get out and have some pizza. The birthday offer is dine-in only, and we were a little cautious of going out to a restaurant in this climate, but there is ample patio seating where customers are spaced out appropriately. We ordered online and it was about an hour wait. When we showed up walked in and had are pizza within minutes. They were very friendly and fast getting us checked out! The pizza was very delicious. The crust was so thin and the ends were crispy and chewy. The flavor of the pepperoni was outstanding. The basil on the margarita pizza was perfectly tasty. I loved them both. I have been going to Grimaldi's for a few years now, in these COVID-19 times, they definitely deserve an overdue review from me. My first experience with Grimaldi's was a visit for free 16" birthday pizza with 1 topping with a fellow Yelp Eliter. She introduced me to the white pizza with garlic, which is extremely tasty and cooked in a hot coal oven to crispiness. I am a big fan of the thin Neopolitan-like thin crust. I suggest dining in at Grimaldi's, I have done takeout a few times but the crust loses some of its crispiness and texture during the ride home. Its best eaten hot out of the coal oven. Salad portions here are generous, a small can feed 2 people. We usually opt for the house salad which comes already tossed in italian dressing. This was my first dine in experience in a COVID-19 world. There is ample spacing between the tables and the staff was wearing face masks. I felt comfortable and safe with my dine in experience.
