I decided to stop in for some lettuce and a couple items at the grocery outlet in lemon Valley, and boy I like that store. They were fully stocked and have so many great products that I usually use and my son lives in the area that I'm gonna see if he goes there to shop. I mean it's great to save a buck or two or 10 on groceries. And I always see their Instagram and they're very proactive with their Instagram keeping their store stocked. I visited the grocery outlet in Truckee looking for five dozen eggs. they did not have any, and a dozen eggs were $2.49. I talked to one of the managers there and they said they've had a shortage of dairy products and eggs. So on the way home, I stopped at this grocery outlet and sure enough they had a few boxes of them. Everybody was nice at the store, though a little warmer at the one in Truckee lol. Still everybody was helpful. I usually shop at Smith's, and my wife always comes here. I will Shop here more often. read more

I was in the area of Lemmon Valley and decided to stop in. The stores are franchises and have individual owners. This store has the same owner as the Spanish Springs store on Vista. I was very impressed with how organized and well stocked it was at the time of my visit. I did notice that the meat selection was limited compared to the other Grocery Outlet in Vista but I was able to find everything I was looking for along with other bargains. I had a positive shopping experience that I would consider making a special trip there the next time. read more

This review is specifically for the Lemmon Valley Grocery Outlet. If you've been to other Grocery Outlets, you know as well as I do that they can be pretty gritty. Not this one. Right outside the door they have beautiful displays of fresh plants and herbs as well as giant clay pots for sale, cheaper than anywhere else in Reno. The store is clean and well organized and pretty easy to navigate. My favorite part of this particular store is natural product selection. Beauty products, supplements, meat alternatives, weird mushroom coffee powder- they have it all and for CHEAP! I am a bargain shopper and I cannot tell you how excited I get to find Chobani greek yogurt for $1.99. Granted, the sales rotate and they don't usually have one single brand or product consistently, it's fun to see what kind of new things you can try for 1/8 of the price you'll find them anywhere else. They actually have a pretty decent beer selection but I would say their liquor variety is a little sad. Most are of the plastic bottle variety that you'd typically see abandoned empty in an alleyway. All in all, a great first stop on any grocery shopping adventure. read more

My favorite store to go to, I always find what I need for a very reasonable price. The price of food has gone up so much the last few years, it's been hard to make sure my family is fed. Just went yesterday and dropped a hundred dollars on food at this location. We always checked the dates,ON ALL PRODUCTS BEFORE PURCHASING!!! I Pulled out the orange juiced out of the refrigerator this morning. And noticed like mold on the outer top of the orange juice container.who ever stocks the refrigerator with products should of noticed it.it was the first container when you open the glass door at the store. This is definitely my go to grocer, although I'm unable to get everything needed here, it's always the first stop on my grocery list outing. I generally try to avoid Walmart, although I have to make regular stops there, because as we are all aware Walmart literally has any & everything one could need and or want! Within reason! Lol! In addition my absolute wonderful youngest child (who I am beyond proud of) works here (his very first job, such a proud momma!!) so I won't say anything too bad. Again, lol! Grocery Outlet has some of THE best deals in town, certain items tend to be close to expiration, which in my opinion can be fine for the most part, depending on what they are. On the other hand most products are not expiring/expired and saving at times up to $10 per item, keeps me coming back every week! Love their fruit/veggie selection especially, and don't get me started on their specialty cheese collection! It is without a doubt very well varied, seriously impressive! Such diversity, some I'd never expect to feast my eyes upon, except in perhaps an actual cheese shop. And truly priced extremely well in comparison! Everything from toiletries to pet food, to gifts, to kitchen needs, and so on, their amazing selection is superb compared to most chains! I LOVE this store!! Today I got the most delicious huge CA Ocean Mist artichokes at 2/5$!! Dare I say go get them while they last--delish!!! Wine wine wine is another good reason to visit this store! I picked up a wine, Wild Chenin Blanc, at 5$$! a couple weeks ago which turned out to be luscious and wonderful!!! Today I went back to stock up and picked up several other varietals just because they did such a great job with the Chenin. Alas, all too often when the store's supply is gone it will never appear again. I think this particular winery has closed its doors, sadly! Pick some varietals you like at great GO prices, then buy out as much as you can before it disappears. I drive all the way from South Reno to shop here because it is a nice clean store and fully stocked. I was in the first week of July and was hassled by the clerk to buy a bag of groceries for the food pantry. She would not take "no" for an answer. Once she made me feel awful, I decided to not donate anything. She asked me to buy the bag that was sealed for $9.99 then give $5 then $1 and then proceeded to ask me "how I was passing on donating just one dollar". She just was not going to take "No" for and answer and then I changed the subject. First of all, I donate to Catholic Charities Food Bank, supply Christmas gifts for kids that need them, and donate to Salvation Army Thrift Stores. Plus I give money all year long. I am not fond of giving money for a bag of food that is stapled shut if I can not see inside the bag. It makes me wonder if the store is sending bags of items out that they need to sell. There is no way for the consumer to know where their money is going or what food they purchased. I have gone to stores that have a barrel up front, you buy the food and deposit it inside. Now that makes sense to me. If the store wants to do a food drive like this and people want to participate that is fine but I don't like to shop where I am hassled by the clerk (name begins with T and has 4 letters). She asked the guy behind me who was buying two items under $20 and he told her "yes". What she did not tell him is that it was close to $10 for the bag. This is my to go store, has been like this for 5 years already. All staff members that i have came across are always nice, though that changed. Cheryl is one white old racist lady. I see her talking to a white person and checking them out, then it comes to my turn and her smile quickly fades away. No words are said while checking me out, even after she's done, she just gave me my receipt and turned around so fast. I thought maybe it was just a one time thing, so i decided to go back 3 hours later. I go back and the same exact thing happens. I see how she treats people of color vs white people. I also went today but with my mother, i tell her about the situation and she says "oh yeah that ladies treats people of color bad", my mother smiles at her and cheryl turns her back to her. Maggie though, she's one sweetheart, always welcoming everyone. She always makes conversations and trying to make us laugh. Even when she's the most busiest she always makes sure we leave that store with a smile. read more

I don't think the words "outlet and bargain" should be attached to the word "grocery". Since I was planning on donating to the Evelyn Mount food drive, I thought I would stop by and see what this place was about. Grocery Outlet is kind of cluttered, but stocked with a lot of random goodies like food and pj's random. Think of it as a Big Lots with more perishables. As all the other reviews state, check the expiration dates before you buy. A lot of the food has a fast approaching expiration date, which is fine if you are going to consume it by then. The can goods were actually dated well, into 2019, so I would go back to buy my canned veggies there. I was able to buy quite a bit that I donated; 2 frozen chickens, 2 cans of corn, 2 cans of green beans, 4 packets of sauce, 2 boxes of stuffing, 2 packets of cornbread mix for 23.00 dollars. They have a lot of items that I willl go back and browse as they will make nice and cheap stocking stuffers like Eos chapsticks. That being said, there is no way you could go here for all you shopping needs, as their shelf stock changes a lot. The customer servie was wonderful. My cashier was very friendly as were the other employees, so that made my experience very pleasant. read more

First of all, let me say that I am Grocery Outlet's number one fan. I save at least $1000 a year in groceries without coupons and no hassle. Next time you're at a grocery outlet, calculate the time that you were in line at the register. You'll figure out that even the line is faster than your regular store. I don't know why but it is. This place is no exception. It's clean and up to standards to Grocery Outlet compliance. Even the shopping carts are clean.The one thing that goes downhill fast at some Grocery Outlet is nasty, dirty shopping carts. Not this place. There is enough grocery outlet in this area for someone to have a video channel just on Grocery Outlet hauls. I would subscribe to that channel. read more

I was pleasantly suprised when I walked into this Grocery Outlet and saw the huge organic selection and that the store is well organized. This is by far the nicest Grocery Outlet I have been to. I got a good selection or organic produce and a package of organic Foster Farms chicken tenders for $40. The downside is that you may not be able to do all your shopping here. If you are a bargain hunter and don't mind having to go to another grocery store or Walmart this is your kind of store. They have great prices on things like Cliff Bars, which are $6.99 for 12. At most other places they are close to $12 for 12. The 12 packs of LA Croix mineral water are $2.99, which is roughly half price of Whole Foods. The varieties are limited but if you are not picky you can save a lot. I'm glad I finally took the time to stop here. It was time well spent. read more

I love this place, they have the best deals, especially on snacks and drinks! Their produce section can't hold up to Smith's across the street and their selection on some of the major products is a little wanting. But man, if you want the best snacks like all kinds of weird jerky that you've never tried, or chocolate from other countries, or tons of protein and fiber bars, or even various nuts...this is the place to go!!! I go here every week and then when I get home my wife yells at me and asks where all the real food is, but I just laugh and give her a 90% dark chocolate bar from Zimbabwe or something like that and then convince her that it's all about the snacks, man!!! read more

Love this place. Best deals I've found here are things like protein shakes, workout supplements and soft drinks. Recently they've had RTD Optimum Nutrition protein isolate 20g, 4 for 2.99. That's a deal. Lots of times they will have deals on soft drinks such as monster mutant soda 3 for 99cents. I've also found deals on salami here which is a bag for 6 bucks where most places will charge at least 10 for the same size. I go once or twice a week to see what deals they have. The employees are very rude and don't have any type of good manners. They are very unprofessional when it comes to asking where some items are located, I have met the owners a couple times and they seem so judgmental. No sense of humor or even try to have a good talk. A couple years back I had a family member that had worked there for about 5 months and I've heard many bad complaints about him having problems with the manager and the owner of the store. They have very poor management skills and don't give out their paychecks on time until you have to ask. I've heard way too many complaints about this store. Everything the store has is for a good budget but I do not recommend in talking to employees while you're shopping. I will never go into that store again! read more

This particular Grocery Outlet is one of my favorites. For one, it's close to where I live. They have a number of items that I use and the products tend to be fresher. If you've shopped at the Grocery Outlet Bargain Market, you know that you need to pay attention to the expiry dates. Some items are promptly frozen. Others you need to look over. Service has always been good, especially at this location! They are located, right off the Lemmon Dr., east side of the street. Plenty of parking. The staff and the pricing are both great. I'd happily bump my review up to 4 starts if they had just a little better selection of staple items, as the time drain of having to hit another store for everything I wasn't able to get takes away from my enthusiasm for the prices. That said, if you were entertaining, and needed a bunch of chips, snacks, and adult beverages, absolutely stop it. I'm not much of a drinker, but I like the occasional hard cider or whatnot, and like to keep a well-stocked pantry that includes a selection of liquor. And I've found some serious deals. Grocery Outlet - 2.99 wow for rosenblum what a deal - Grocery Near Me - Reno, Nevada

Grocery Outlet isn't for everyone, and I'm okay with that. The affectionate name "Gross Out" is fitting in some stores, but not this one. But, unless you have no standards, you really can't buy everything you need here. If you want to avoid Gross-Out because it doesn't have everything, you are flushing money down the toilet. This is obviously more true for some stores (like Raley's) than others (like Winco). But whatever, stay away; more cheap, good food for me. Not everything is the cheapest here (see my note on the beer, below), but it's close. Anyway, I'm not up in the north valleys very often, and I often hit the Kietzke Grocery Outlet because it's closer to my other errands. That said, this is hands-down the best of the three Reno-area G.O. stores. The owners clearly make a big effort to order the natural/organic stuff when its available, which gives more options to grocery snobs like me. The chocolate section is like 5x the other stores, too. It's also much cleaner, which may be partially due to being newer than the other stores. They also make much better use of their space than the other stores; having a frozen section with glass cases is much nicer than antiquated open-trough freezers. From all I can tell they have the best beer/wine/liquor selection, which aren't G.O.'s best deals (actually it's usually not a discount at all), but this story seems to put booze on sale more frequently. [I forgot to add that this is the ONLY G.O. I've been to that consistently has two or more checkers working at any given time. I heard mixed views on the store but I like it , you can find some good deals on food items. Yes, some are near expiration date but that explains the markdowns hence your deal. I am a Cheese freak. The local big box store that I often shop has great cheeses but I have to buy more than I can easily store. Grocery outlet offers a good selection too and the pieces are smaller. When I go in to stock up on cheese I usually check out most of the rest of the store to see if I can find anything else at a bargain price that I need at home. I am never disappointed. I just make sure to check the sell by date So that I don't get something that is not going to stay fresh long enough. IThey have a huge selection of toiletries and a nice frozen food section. Nice place - good variety of items - just watch the expiration date on the items as some are close to expiring. If you are looking for wine, they offer wine tasting once a month. I haven't had the opportunity to go for the wine tasting yet, but have visited the department. I found a bottle of wine that sells for 4x as a much as another store. They had a HUGE savings on it. I have been a regular Grocery outlet customer for decades and always thought it was an interesting place to find bargains till the one in Lemmon Valley opened up. Now I see it as an invaluable shopping asset that I stop at before I go anywhere else. This store is hands down far better than any other one in Reno. I mentioned to the manager that I wish he could get the local Rum that is made in Sparks because it is a great Colonial Navy Rum that I love (Black Rock Rum). Yesterday I went shopping there and decided to check out what new bottles of liquor the cat dragged in, and to my utter astonishment there was a full row of Black Rock Rum bottles just sitting there on the shelf like an early Christmas present..and for less than they were to be had at Total Wine at the other side of the city. It's no wonder this store is always busy. The management and staff are excellent, it's always clean, they do a great job of predicting what people want, and the shelves are always immaculate, and stocked.
