Most Delicious tacos! If you're looking for an authentic taco experience, Guisados in Venice is the place to go! I tried the Chile Relleno and Chicharron tacos, and both were absolutely delicious. The Chile Relleno taco was cooked to perfection--crispy, flavorful, and just the right level of spice (on the milder side). The Chicharron Taco was divine, with rich, melt-in-your-mouth flavors that made every bite irresistible. The salsa packs a punch, staying true to the kind of bold flavors of the dish. What really sets these tacos apart is their handmade corn tortillas which add a fresh, authentic touch to every bite. If you need something to cool down, their fresh Agua Frescas are fresh and are just the right amount of sweet. This hidden gem is a must-visit for taco lovers! I'll definitely be coming back.

I want to say the vibe was a little off but, it could have just been me. I ordered a papas breakfast burrito. It's a very simple burrito. Eggs, potatoes and cheese. Not too bad. You can't mess up something so simple. The potatoes could have been cooked a little longer, too hard for me. I didn't come across any cheese. Maybe they put a dash of cheese lol. The size of the burrito was limited aka just enough. You can go to a street vendor and get more bang and flavor for your buck. The one on Venice near centinela is pretty decent. The burrito was about $10. Not too bad for what you get. Not sure if I will ever go back.

Messsss don't trip I still ate them

Good little tacos. Excellent house made corn tortillas. As is their style the interior of the restaurant is bright and clean, minimalist. I have been meaning to grab some tacos since they opened in the neighborhood. For the first time at a Guisado's, I ordered tacos to go. I have been to other locations and always eat in. They did not travel well and I am right up the street. The tacos are quite saucy, which is tasty but does not make for the best to go meal. I loved the chile relleno taco, really nice and actually traveled the best. The fish is always one of my favorites but by the time I made the drive home, it was a mess. I have to remember I don't love the chicken tinga, but just a personal texture preference. They have a small patio out front and indoor seating, so will be ordering to stay when I return.

August 2024 | Venice Beach: Yes, yes & yes! It was love at first sight when we were driving by North Pacific & Venice Boulevard, and I looked over and saw Guisados in Venice!! I'm not kidding, my heart started racing! Haha! Chile Relleno: I thought I would try something new and I'm glad I did! I enjoyed every saucy bite! Full of flavor! Absolutely delicious & my favorite taco so far, though there are plenty of other tacos I enjoy with their diverse menu! There's a little something for everyone! Vegan Medley: I enjoyed every delicious bite of the colorful taco, which included: sautéed squash, tomato, corn, onions, and mushrooms...! Personality Plus: Cesar was so welcoming & conversation flowed easily! He also checked on us several times! When he told us about the other locations, I was happy to let him know that I've been to several and enjoyed every single one in Beverly Hills, Downtown LA & Boyle Heights! Seating & Parking: Plenty of seating inside as well as outside! There are couple of parking spots in front of the restaurant! Be sure to read the signs when parking elsewhere along the street! Overall: It makes my day knowing that there is now a Guisados here at Venice Beach, close enough to walk to, even better!!! Those tacos are tiny, but they pack a powerful punch, so full of flavor!! Looking forward to trying breakfast next!! Let's go!!

The newest Guisado's! Food - The house made corn tortillas are the star. The texture is great and the quality is notable. My favorite tacos are the mole poblano for a meat option and the hongos con cilantro for a vegetarian option. While I enjoy the tacos, I do think it's a really small portion. Drinks - The agua frescas are generally great at Guisados. I like the horchata; this time I got the Jamaica. And they only serve soft drinks here. Location - This location is newer so it seems they're still working things out. There was no AC which I thought was odd; maybe it's temporary? The restroom was out of service as well. The parking lot just fits two cars and it's a shared lot. There's indoor and outdoor seating here.

Guisados makes some of my favorite tacos in Los Angeles. And not only do they make some of my favorite tacos, but they make their own tortillas fresh to order, which really makes the tacos that much better. And now I can get these amazing tacos on fresh tortillas when I'm at the beach!? Awesome! I'm so excited that they have opened this Venice location. I stumbled onto Guisados years ago when they were only in Boyle Heights. It's amazing to witness their continued success and expansion. This new location is providing the same great tacos I've enjoyed many times at their other locations. The service was very friendly and helpful. We sat at a table outside and enjoyed some tacos. It looked like there was an indoor dining area that wasn't open while we were there, but it was a nice day, so we wanted to eat outside anyway. I look forward to making many more visits to Guisados' new Venice Beach branch.

Horchata mix comes with the scoop and recipes on the back of the bag! Perfect to gift to the horchata lovers in your life!

Service was excellent and super friendly- even right before they closed, the tacos I tried were delish - guiso and carnitas - tortillas were banging, as well as the seasonal pumpkin horchata was also pretty yummy so we purchased their homemade horchata mix to go! Will definitely be back to try out some breakfast burritos next time we visit LA!

The Og taco sampler. Sorry I ate one before I took the picture.

Og sampler tacos were delicious, just like the original Michelin star Guisados in Boyle Heights. I also ordered the shrimp and fish taco. I like the fish better.

Got a single vegetarian taco and it wasn't good. It was literally boiled vegetables in a tortilla with a drizzle of sauce and feta cheese. The taco was super oily too which was strange. Overall, wouldn't recommend.

Everyone should experience these tacos!! They are the best. Also the service is always amazing. The drinks are delicious. 10/10

Guisados has the best tacos ever. The shrimp tacos and the vegan medley is my go-to. The staff is always amazing and the drinks are great. Love sitting outside by the fire. Will come back forever.

Thank you, Guisados for coming to Venice!! Guisados remains, IMO, the most outstanding tacos in LA and this location is just as good as their others that I've visited in Beverly Hills and Hermosa Beach. The attention to flavor is outstanding and the new chile relleno taco is an awesome addition to the menu. I'm also absolutely obsessed with their horchata coldbrew and have to order it even if it's dinner and I'll be up all night. The staff here is super friendly and I enjoyed the outdoor seating and heat lamps! Will be back here FREQUENTLY - thank you to the whole Guisados team :)

Sonoratown was our first stop as it was highly recommended by my boyfriend's brother, and it did not disappoint. It immediately earned a spot in our top five favorite taco spots for carne asada in all of Southern California! The location that we went to is located in between Elysium DTLA and Perfumeria Starlux on E 8th St in downtown LA. There is only paid(?) street parking around the area that could be extremely difficult to find during work days. Because we couldn't snag a spot, my friends and I opted for takeout and didn't end up eating until about 30 minutes later. Despite the travel time, the tacos were still absolutely incredible--I can only imagine how spectacular it tastes fresh! My friends and I ordered the carne asada tacos, and my boyfriend opted for the cabeza. Before I even took a full bite, I tasted a piece of the loose carne asada and was blown away; it was perfectly cooked with a wonderful tenderness and deep smokiness. The use of a single, thin, handmade flour tortilla--rather than the standard double corn--was a total game-changer and exactly how I preferred my tacos. The salsas were equally impressive, offering fantastic flavor and a great kick. My boyfriend's cabeza taco was just as standout, featuring super-tender meat with a rich, savory profile. Wowowow! Between the exceptional meat quality, bold flavors, and great value, this is easily one of the best taco spots I've visited. It's a huge bummer that they don't have a location down in San Diego, but we will definitely be back!

I also tried the mulita with al pastor meat and that was also soso good. Cheesy, meaty, and indulgent. The additional topping section had good variety with pickled onions, cucumbers, etc. and everything seemed pretty fresh. Unfortunately, they were pretty much out of the roasted pepper and grilled onions at the time I went. To drink, I had the horchata and that was also very delicious. It was huge, sweet, and creamy.
