This is a VERY UNIQUE experience. You'll have a chance to see everything on the menu as the chefs who prepare the food will bring each dish to you one at a time and then present the dish to you and you'll need to make a decision if you want that or not. Serving sizes are small and are a good sample size for two people. We went with about 6 dishes for the 2 of us. The service is spectacular as well. A reservation is needed and we marked someone in our party as vegan and they called to confirm the dietary restrictions. Pretty much every dish on the menu they ended up making a vegan option and presented that to us as well! Everything tasted excellent and was a night to remember!

I was not blown away. The concept is intriguing. Execution not for everyone. For these prices I expect a higher level of ambiance. Service was excellent. The chefs are certainly talented and having them hawk their wares was interesting.

A truly unique dining experience that is well worth the trip. Before you go, make sure to take three minutes and actually read through their website (as opposed to some of the more recent negative reviewers who clearly should have just gone to a Waffle House instead). The food is an eclectic mix of flavors and textures that is largely determined by what is available to the kitchen on a day to day basis. As such, it's hard for me to recommend any specific items, as what I had is likely not what you'll have. That said, a couple of pieces of advice: -Don't be afraid to turn down some of early items if there are things further down the menu that catch your attention. The reality is that you will not be able to try everything, so make sure to prioritize; -That said, trust the chefs. Our two favorite items were both things we had not planned on trying, so be ready to shift things up! Oh, and have at least one cocktail from the cart. It's an experience worth having!

Wow, 5 stars for the uniqueness of this dining experience alone. Definitely not for everyone but we had so much fun trying different concoctions from each chef. The only thing I found not ideal is how close you're seated to other parties/how loud it is but I understand that logistically it probably makes sense since each chef has to quickly walk from the kitchen to the diners and present their dish. Food we tried and loved: Shishitos stuffed with shrimp, Barrelfish crudo with huacatay, Crab over Carolina Gold with bacon, and Lamb with fried okra and prickly pear. The only dish we did not like was the chicken liver mousse, which can be a polarizing flavor. I also tried the toasted old fashioned, which was phenomenal. Very cool they have a bar cart, and also some NA options. Service was exceptional - friendly, funny, and attentive. I can't speak too much to $ as my friend very kindly treated me for my birthday. They also put a candle in one of the desserts we ordered and added Happy Birthday to the top of our menu to make it a little more celebratory.

For those with a varied palate or adventurous foodies. Make reservations. Parking can be limited based on time of day with close street parking with a lot in walking distance. Staff are very friendly. Unique experience with chefs bringing prepared dish to the table to describe. You let them know if you wish to keep it. The dishes have spins on them in how they are prepared. Only pay for the food you eat. Prices are comparable to a full plated dinner although each plate is sample size. Rustic setup with open tables. Menu changes often.

I have no idea what this is but it was not memorable and probably $20

What an odd dining experience. I had no idea what this restaurant was about - my friend wanted to go and said it was like dim sum places that wheel around food to you. Let me set the scene - seating is in an open concept room, long tables where you will be seated close to other diners. Depending on where you get seated you could be feet away from the open kitchen or inches away from shelves crammed with kitchen equipment and non perishable food. The day we went in July 2025- the theme was cargo shorts and tees. Every single waiter were in knockoff rei cargo shorts that flattered not one of them. Odd. The menu is basically whatever chef thought of that week - with a farm to table theme while "playing against the rules" with flavors and textures. While prices are exhorbant, the portion sizes were miniscule. Each course is presented to each party dining in with wait staff taking a plate of food from the kitchen, and either waiving it a mere foot from your face or setting it on the table in front of you while talking over it. Its truly a germophobes worst nightmare and with covid making its appearance again this summer...the hygiene of this place and the plates of food presented was concerning. We were seated next to the kitchen and saw only one chef with a glove. And I mean singular- a finger glove at that. My home economics teacher friend with me who teachers kitchen safety to high-school students was appalled at what she was seeing in that kitchen. The food was okay...nothing memorable except a duck stuffed chicken wing. In fact, my friend and I decided to leave e before all the courses had been presented. We were hungry and not willing to pay anymore to eat food that may or may not get us sick. The overall vibe was just off too. It reminded me of the worst parts of my hometown of seattle. Pretentious hippies who feel like you should be grateful to be graced by their presence. The manager came up to us when we paid our bill and asked if we wanted recommendations for other places in the area- in an oddly condescending tone. I literally could have bought every single dish they offered that night and my bank account would have been just fine. I refused to spend my hard earned money on a place that was overpriced, filled with an off putting aura, and didnt practice basic kitchen hygiene. What a Disappointing, expensive, and strange experience. Note- I went to velvet taco right after and had a great taco combo meal for twenty bucks and bad a much better time and enjoyed the food more! Pictures posted to prove i was there.

When I heard about this place I had no idea what to expect. I think even when I got there it was not what I was expecting but it did not disappoint. Gunshow is definitely a restaurant for the adventurous foodie. If that's not you, I don't think you'll have a good time here. From walking in the staff is so nice and energetic. The chefs are super excited to describe the meals. Everyone around you is having good time and you can see people's reactions to exploring these new flavors at the same time as you. The dishes here are unique. Not all of them were my favorite but others in my party enjoyed them. I can't even describe a specific dish because the menu changes. What I can say, Gunshow finds a way to pair flavor profiles that you don't think would work or haven't thought to pair. French Toast Froi Gras? Sounds interesting but it has been one of the best and well balanced dishes I've tried. Their cocktails are delicious and the food was a fun journey for my palette. Definitely recommend checking them out

Variety....variety....variety Every bite was different and delicious!! We shall return. Service was quick and attentive.

Chicken wing stuffed with rabbit meat. Tasty, but not cheap at $18 for what you see.

Came in for dinner tonight as a party of 3 to celebrate 2 bdays. I'd been wanting to come here for a while and relished the oppty, expecting to love the experience based on everything I'd heard and read. Unfortunately I left only liking it, and not certain it's an experience really worth repeating. To start, making a reservation through Resy was simple. Per usual I appreciate being able to call out the occasion, share allergy info, etc. I further was impressed with the phone call to confirm the names of those whose bdays we were celebrating, as it was printed at the top of the menu. We arrived for an 815 reservation at 8, into a mostly empty place with only 4 parties or so were seated, and was promptly asked to wait. Instead over the next15 min we saw several parties arriving after us get seated instead. I understand having time slots and expected seatings, but the chefs and wait staff were already there, the menu was already set, so why the extra wait? Upon being seated we were explained how it all works, which I had a vague idea of already of various chefs and dishes being presented over the course of the next hour (spoiler alert, it actually took quite a bit longer). The drink menu was interesting, and clearly experimental, and aside from Corn was quite good (in all had the Peach, Blueberry, toasted old fashioned and the non alcoholic Corn). Menu items were all pretty inventive, however portion sizes and pricing varied dramatically, and not all that sensible. The $13 summer vegetable, which we skipped, was largely nothing more than a minuscule portion of random garden vegetables. The $26 veal was very good, but the 2 pcs were smaller than nigiri pieces. The American unagi was a very small pc and also came in at $26. The shrimp dish was very enjoyable and was one of the few items where taste/portion size/price aligned harmoniously. The chicken wing stuffed with rabbit meat was my personal favorite, the pork dish everyone enjoyed but took an extra 30 min to come out, long after we'd been through everything else, a perfect example of how the pacing just wasn't very good. From the dessert side the banana pudding was truly fantastic tasting. Service wise, most of the waitstaff were friendly. However small details consistently got missed. I asked twice for a slice of lemon for my water, it never came. The presentation of plopping down 2 plates at a time, and taking 1 or both back, seemed tacky at best. No one seemed to really care if you ordered more drinks or not except for the "bartender" working the cart, we had to flag down a waitstaff to ask for another drink. We noticed multiple tables with a candle at least for the dessert to mark a bday occasion, yet we didn't get one. Am I nitpicking here? Sure, but it's supposed to be a finer dining experience right? Lastly they charged for an item we didn't get. All in all, was the food good? Yes, def above avg. However value is lacking, and too many details were missed to justify a $330 meal for 3 ppl.

We had a fantastic time. Family after Christmas dinner... came here for our second time. The first time we came here, we had a group of 14. Because of the size, we had a fixed menu. This time, we had 6 of us and got to experience the full gunshow "experience"!!! There are 4 chefs who create and prepare their own dishes. They each take turns coming to your table explaining each item. You order the ones you want (now we ordered all!!). They are all small plates so you can share...Tonight was special because Madison's friend from culinary school in Seattle is now working here, Tristan. The entire staff is delightful. Favorites from this menu tonight (see my pics for menu): lamb, oysters, chicken liver, sunchoke, cabbage with the clams! Banana pudding was yummy with the meringue.

(2024 Review) Super unique concept, kind of similar to dim sum as they describe but not really? They come around with one dish at a time and u decide whether u want it or not. Ngl we had to get used to saying no so we said yes to the first 2 dishes LOL but luckily they were delicious!! Honestly I loved it here a lot -- food reminded me of fine dining with how unique and detailed each dish was (also expensive lol our tab was like $140 for 2), but vibes of the place was SUPER casual and laid back. Service was great too!! Also if you initially say no to a dish but change your mind, you can ask the servers and they bring it out back for u :D I also liked how the menu was written out lol. I would love to come again if I'm ever back in Atlanta to try their changing menu items.

We spent $200 and ended up eating Mac Donald's after. The only thing that was good here, was the service.

I would really rate this 3.5 stars but since yelp forces you to do whole star ratings, I'll go with 4 just because the vibes were really good. When looking for where to go in Atlanta, Gunshow kept coming up. We had a hard time finding more information but decided if everyone else loved it, we had to check it out. The experience lasts about 90 minutes. You get a menu with 10 core dishes, 1 specialty (ours was more expensive, caviar - not sure if it's always the case), and 3 desserts. It seems best to do with an even number as the plates are meant to share between two people. They come around, not in the order of the menu, show you the dish and explain what it is and then you can either take it or pass. The concept is really fun - a choose your own adventure tasting menu where you are only charged for what you decide to eat. Some of the dishes were incredibly creative but truthfully nothing wowed me. They seem to rotate quite a bit so I would totally do it again, just because it was really fun. While I wasn't particularly taken with anything this time, there's a good chance I might next time. The atmosphere is chill, almost like a high end cafeteria with longer tables you may share with strangers. It's fun to be in closer proximity in this space because even if you pass on something your neighbors might not, and you get to see their reaction and potentially have some regrets for passing (if you do pass then you don't get another chance to eat it). All in all a very cool experience!

Do they charge per plate or is a set cost per person?

Is the supper menu served all day?

    Do they have outdoor seating?

    I wouldn't

How much should I expect to spend for dinner for two? About $150?

It's really hard to say. How many drinks do the two of you think you'd have? Most of their drinks run in the $12-15 range. The sharing size food is served dim sum style, with individual items running from $10-$25. A sample menu to give you an idea… Read more

Does this place offer gluten free options?

Is there a bar in the restaurant to wait or one nearby?

Very small, but I don't recall there being an ample area to enjoy a libation. There are some adjacent establishments that you can wait!

Is this place good for vegetarians?

I am not a vegetarian, but my answer to you would be no, it is not good for vegetarians. The food is so random, you would be at the mercy of whatever is selected to be prepared that night. (The drinks would be OK though!)

There's a large drinks menu that I can't comment on a teetotaler. I had a great time ordering and sharing with my party, trying a bit of everything. Everything was delicious and beautiful. My single critique is that I wanted more of several items which is hardly a critique at all. Unfortunately I was somewhat let down by the vegan main which was a risotto with seasonal veg. The flavor was a little thin and it felt like a bit of an after thought compared to the other mains at my table. While I'm glad there's a vegan option, I'm not actually vegan! I just wanted the seasonal veg made to the chef's preference and was disappointed with the result. Everyone else at the table was thrilled with their meals though! Overall it was a tasty and enjoyable experience, though a few changes could've made it better.

First, I tried to see the menu online but quickly found there are a lot of menus and they change, so you can't really know what they're serving. They had just five entrees to pick from, and none were very appetizing. Each was over-engineered, too. They were good about asking about allergies, but if you're traveling and careful about introducing new things to your diet, maybe this place isn't for you. They do have a steak. At $200, it's made for the entire table. You can't just get a steak, even though they clearly have steak. Frankly, a lot of the menu was just gross. Sweetbreads, steak tartare, veal. We picked a chicken plate with potatoes. The potatoes were fine. The chicken was very dry. I asked for iced tea. "We don't serve tea products" was the response. WTF? And while the cocktail and wine choices seemed numerous, the beer was extremely limited. We just stuck with water. Then there was the service. The staff were polite and prompt, but some of the habits were just deeply weird. They kept coming by and folding our napkins. Like, you get up, use the bathroom (an unmarked door adjacent to the kitchen), come back, and somebody has picked up your napkin, the one you've been touching your face with, folded it with their bare hands, and left it there. Look, servers roll silverware and I'm no germophobe, but we really don't need more people touching my napkin throughout the meal, do we? This carried over to other staff who would randomly stop by to clear plates and wipe the table down while we all had to stop talking, watch them replace perfectly clean silverware with new perfectly clean silverware, and then leave. Always with new people. None of this makes it a bad restaurant. It's probably exactly what some people are looking for. It just isn't for me.

It is delicious, but fair warning--you will definitely feel it after just one, lol! To top it all off, they brought out a birthday card signed by both of my servers and their coworkers, along with a birthday cupcake! It was such a thoughtful, personalized touch that made the dining experience feel even more special. Two Urban Licks remains a wonderful, staple on the Atlanta Beltline.

I'd been seeing Staplehouse all over Instagram and hearing about their Michelin Guide recognition,…read moreso I was excited to finally give it a try. As somebody who genuinely loves food and especially Italian sandwiches, I ordered the Italian Grinder for pickup. Now, a little context. I'm a newer parent, and that day I was dressed casually sweats, hoodie, hat, just running around handling life. Nothing crazy. I only mention that because when I went in to pick up my order, the interaction left me uncomfortable. Two employees greeted me, and after I confirmed my name for the pickup, one of them held onto the bag tightly and asked me again if I was sure the order was mine, joking about making sure I wasn't stealing it. I laughed it off in the moment, but honestly, I couldn't fully tell if it was meant as a joke or not. And to be fair, I don't want to assume malicious intent or act like I know what was in that person's heart. But I also have to be honest about how it felt. I genuinely don't believe that same joke or comment would've been made to somebody who looked less "threatening," older, or dressed differently than me. Whether intentional or unconscious, moments like that stick with people. I'm a father, a dancer, a creative, and somebody who tries to greet people warmly and respectfully wherever I go. So walking out of there, I just felt a little judged instead of welcomed. The sandwich itself? Solid. Definitely good food. I'd give the grinder a 4 out of 5. But food is also tied to experience, and unfortunately the interaction took away from it for me. I don't think I'll be going back, but I do hope this feedback is received with understanding and not defensiveness, because perception and hospitality matter too.

I'm going into withdrawal writing this review. Huskey's isn't cheap ($13 - $21) but it's real food…read moreand worth it! The husband and wife team catered before launching in 2020. Open Wednesday - Sunday. We welcomed the calm, family-friendly vibe and free parking. Even with the rain, we were dry and toasty. Other than breathing fresh air, you wouldn't know you're outside. Seat yourself and scan a QR code with your phone to order and prepay. Being old school I think you get better tips by greeting the table and giving recommendations. But there was only one server, she was friendly and hustling. I love the grown up music - neo soul and pop (Selena, Ed Sheeran), with enough volume to hear each other, clean restrooms and comfy seating. Food came out quick, hot and fresh. The amiable owner greeted us after to inquire about our meals. We had a party of 7 (4 adults, 2 teens, 1 kid). I loved my pancake breakfast! The filling, not too sweet hot cakes were promptly drenched in warmed Mrs. Butterworths. Applewood smoked bacon? Blissful. Scrambled eggs with cheese? Dreamy. I devoured it all and left full and content. My Dad said the Blueberry Pancakes were the best breakfast he ever had! Ms. Chicken and Waffles thought the poultry was a bit salty yet "well-seasoned with the perfect crunch." Waffle? Delicious. On a scale of 1-5, Mr. Cream Cheese French Toast and Grits Bowl ranked it 10! "Grits were magical, better than Milk and Honey." Teen's Simple Breakfast (potatoes, eggs and bacon) and French Toast "blew IHOP out of the water!" Preteen ranked his Simple Breakfast and side of French Toast "5 quintillion!" The bacon was a bit tough but the bread blew him away! Kiddo - ranked her kids breakfast (large fruit-topped pancake with eggs and bacon) 6 out of 5! Would we return and recommend? A resounding yes! This quaint, low-key family owned business with amazing food gets our vote every time.

We also ordered the buttermilk pancakes, fried chicken wings, and the lobster and shrimp omelette that were also really delicious! Since I like to try multiple things, I really appreciated the fact that their menu allowed à la carte options so I was able to get a side of shrimp and grits instead of a full sized entree. The chef came out multiple times to ensure customers were satisfied with the meals so the service was excellent. The only call out to note is that it's an outdoor restaurant so in the middle of the summer it can be hot. However, it was a covered patio and enough fans to keep the air circulating so it didn't bother us much. This won't be our last visit to say the least.
