WE got Great onion rings, & my Son got a tiny cup of the corn Chowder.. not bad, but a smoky flavor that was Chipotle or something like it.. My fish came with good cold slaw, but not the Mac & Cheese I remembered.. The fish was just so similar to the Gortons in my home freezer, that I didn't finish it.. We visited this place for their thanksgiving meal. This was one of the few places open for the holiday. COVID protocol was only slightly observed. Big groups sitting close together in some areas some eating semi-decent thanksgiving food with not great service and some grumpy servers who brought the food to the table. First time eating here and the service was excellent. Very nice and clean restaurant downtown Prescott. Walking distance to plenty of shops. Nice view of Gurley Street if you get a table by the window. They start you out with a basket of freshly baked breadsticks with garlic on them. Ordered fish n chips and it was delicious! We chose a piece of the homemade carrot cake for dessert and it was enough for two to split. Again...delicious! Would definately recommend this restaurant and will be back again. read more

We're just driving through when we saw this place. I was skeptical, but damn this place is amazing. The zucchini and mushroom appetizer is amazing and can easily feed 3-4 people. The Chipotle Burger is delicious and you have to try the Turtle Pie. When it comes to service, it was the best that I've had anywhere...ever. My son went to school in Prescott and we never missed an opportunity to dine at the Gurley Street Grill when we were in town. Not sure you find a better Caesar Salad anywhere. For a restaurant in the middle of no where....the produce is better than I can get in California. It can be a bit of a wait, but well worth it. The people are friendly, the food is amazing but be patient when waiting for food and drink. They are usually really busy! Relax...have glass of wine and enjoy your company. Went in to have dinner. Previously ate here many years back and the food was excellent. Sadly, that memory and expectation did not come thru. Had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich, as did my dining partner. I opted for coleslaw and onion rings. My friend had the same thing, but with fries. Also ordered an appetizer before hand. Appetizer came and was really good, but then about a minute later our food was brought out. Where to begin with just how bad it was. The sandwiches were extremely dry. There literally was no sauce whatsoever on the meat. And it was just that, the bun and meat. Had to ask for additional sauce to even get it down. My coleslaw, how they call it coleslaw is beyond me. No flavor, no sweetness or tartness to it at all. Didn't even appear to have any type of coating on it. My dining partner, laughed and said all it was was cut up cabbage with some carrot. No clue what the server was doing. The other table by us said have you seen the server to us. [We had a great Rubin yesterday with fries & seems to be missing from this page! Too good to overlook!] The presentation on our plates are much more photogenic, appetizing & impressive than anything posted here online! Although no Beck's, Grolsch or full strength Coors, the Coors light is nice & cold while the server is nice, attentive & warm! We came late on a Sunday evening after a run, and were very happy to still get service at 8 pm. We were able to sit on the back patio with our dog, which was great! Football was on the television, so my fiancé was happy. They have a good beer selection, with some interesting local options! We got a portobello burger (vegetarian) which was so tasty and delicious, we were amazed. Fries were very nice and crispy, and the onion rings were yummy with the Dijon mayo. I'm not sure why this place has only three stars; I didn't get a chance to read the reviews. But my fiancé and I were perfectly happy. I would have given the place five stars if it had had real lemonade. But we were perfectly satisfied with what we did have. read more

Love this place! Hit it up with my buddy and his family for his 30th. Ordered him the "Gurley Man" a monster burger with 2 lbs of beef and heaping amounts of bread, lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion, bbq sauce, and onion rings. The waitress asked us if we were serious. Oh we were serious! You have 20 minutes to eat this beast, but including a plateful of fries. No way was he going to do it all! He got through most of the burger though and they gave him the prize: a t-shirt anyway. It was a ton of fun and a very memorable lunch. Good food for the rest of the party including some delicious fish and modestly priced beer. Service was excellent. This is one of our favorite stops but next time we'll probably just order human-sized burgers. read more

They updated their Menu and I can't believe that the Management went 10 steps back to comfort foods with meat, chicken, pork etc and nothing for Healthy Vegans except a black bean burger which I don't care for. Fish and Chips were recommened, but looked and tasted like frozen, large fish sticks. Fries from frozen not fresh. Chicken wings dry and no consistency in size. Blackened Cajun Pasta was also disappointing. Portions small for prices. Any chain restaurant surpasses their quality of food. As this is a local owned and part of Murphy's group, I expected better. This place has a cool layout and the staff is very attentive and friendly. Two drawbacks are that happy hour only applies to the bar seating which is almost in the middle of the establishment out in the open. Happy hour should apply to the entire seating area. The second and most important issue is that not only did it take way too long for our food to come out with very little patrons in house, it was not good. My friend and I had fish and chips and both were overcooked and the portions were small for the money. My wife's ravioli could barely be cut through without a knife. You should always be able fork cut ravioli. There were 6 of us and no one had anything good to say about the food. Now on the other hand the beer and drinks were good. We would go back and have a couple of drinks but we won't be eating here again. Cool place, bad food. If you want kick ass fish and chips go to Prescott Brewery. read more

I had the zucchini and mushrooms to start it's a big serving enough for 4 people it came out fast, was a little on the salty side the ranch helped calm the salt. I also had the 10 oz ribeye with mash potatoes and veggies. I ordered it rare came to me medium was still soft. We had a very nice dinner here on a rainy summer night. We walked downtown and found Gurley Street Grill. The building is converted but still quite homey and inviting. The menu is standard American fare. The hubby had a sandwich that he thought was quite good. I opted for a burger and it was a mighty tasty burger. The staff was very nice and pleasant. I'm writing this review so I can remember this restaurant next time I come to Prescott. The Grill was very accommodating to our party of 20 and the food was excellent. My steak was cooked to perfection and the veggies were fresh. The pot pie hit the spot for another in our party. The Rueben sandwich looked amazing and my friend said it was. They allowed us to have separate checks even! Someone at the other end of our table raved about the chicken wrap. 20 people and no complaints?! Everyone raves?! This place is a keeper! This restaurant is horrible. Went in there the day before memorial day to have dinner . My wife ordered 3 items and the waitress said they are out of alot of items . This restaurant gives you very little food but charges high pricees. Do not order the chicken pot pie you will laugh it is pathetic. We have enjoyed the Gurley Street Grill in the past. We decided to try it for Thanksgiving Day dinner. My wife ordered the turkey dinner, and I got the ham dinner. Both dinners were acceptable. I would not say great. The turkey and ham was tender. The mashed potatoes were tasty although a little lumpy. The gravy was good, but the quantity was scant. When we asked for additional gravy, we were told it would be an additional fifty cents because they were running out. Seems like the appropriate plan would be to prepare more gravy. In summary, I wouldn't eliminate Gurley Street Grill for another Thanksgiving Day dinner, but I would not put it top on my list either. read more

My overall experience was terrible. We were a large group (14 people) so I could forgive slow service. However, the poor service went beyond simply being slow. The waitress had a bad attitude from the start. She followed that up with more rookie mistakes. The toddlers were served last, she had no idea who ordered what, and she mixed up our credit cards. I don't expect this waitress to be in the service industry for long. Even after I returned my first beer and didn't finish the second, the waitress offered nothing to correct the issue at hand. The beer was tasteless. There was thick heavy head on every beer we ordered. It is clear to me they have major problems with their draft beer system. The food was bland too. There was not a single impressive thing about my visit. Now I know why I have never been there before. I will not recommend it to anyone. read more

My husband and I have been in town for four days, and this is the first time we ate here tonight! It's probably the best meal I've had in awhile. I love Salmon, well tonight I finally had it! It was grilled and served up with steamed veggies and rice, all I added to mine was a lot of squeezed lemon, perfect!! My husband had the Blacken Chicken Sandwich, very good too! We had an awesome experience again at Gurly Street Grill. Our server Savannah provided excellent service and was very mindful of some of our dietary restriction. The food was great. I had the portobello mushroom sandwich. My wife has the corn chowder and my parents had the Mediterranean pasta. Every one loved their food. I ordered a burger that came with a roll hard as a rock. I ate the burger alone only because I was hungry and as I said the waitress disappeared. The manager came over she was nice enough to take the burger off the bill. The bill came to $13.81. I gave the waitress a twenty only to be given back $6 and no change.
