What I order: Mixed platter (beef or lamb with chicken over rice, lettuce, the works), get it with white sauce on the top, and hot sauce on the side (their hot sauce isn't that hot anymore, think they serve a new one now!) Fries- Their fries are so good! Nice and crispy crinkle cut, and comes with salt and pepper on top. Tried their Kings premium juice last time which is Apple, Carrot, and Orange and it was pretty good! They charge you a dollar less for the juice if purchased with a platter I believe. My husband and I always love eating at Gyro King, fresh food and amazing flavor. BUT... they *never* read the notes for online/call in orders. Too many times they have messed up my meal by including items I specifically requested to be removed due to severe food allergies. Our last order was no exception. They added everything to a salad I ordered and I was unable to eat any of it. They were probably distracted by the unprofessional drama that was taking place where two employees got into a yelling match in front of me. They chose to verbally spar while making my food, which caused one employee to walk out. Nobody paid attention to the notes I made for my order and they said, "Screw it" and just put EVERYTHING on my salad. Thanks for ruining more meals than I have enjoyed. Long time customer and they're very consistently great. You get a lot of food for the price, with good quality meat and a nice variety of vegetables. A lot of restaurants have started making portions smaller or skimping on certain things but I can say over the years, Gyro King has not reduced the quantity nor quality in my favorite dish (lamb over rice). Always get lamb over rice the chicken is too dry! Make sure to get your sauces on the side unless you're eating there! It makes it way too soggy when bringing it home! Also don't ask for extra salad, chances are you'll never get anything but lettuce and you'll end up paying extra. The salad you do get with the combo is delicious! They recently changed their red sauce and it's almost as inedible as halal guys so be mindful of that. I've catered from them as well, it's pricey but definitely worth it! read more

So, I was feeling swamped at work and needed lunch/dinner. It was 4pm, and I was working until 8pm that day. So, I opened up my trusty YelpEAT24 app and looked for somewhere nearby that was appealing. So many places had (IMO) outrageous delivery charges. So, I opted for Gyro King. I ordered a Chicken Gyro with fries and a diet coke for $15 (including tip). It. Was. Amazing. I actually couldn't finish the fries! I left them out on our "free for all" counter for others to enjoy. About 30 minutes after my oddly timed meal, a colleague stopped by and said, "hey, there's some awesome fries in kitchen area, you should try them!" I laughed and said I was the one who left them out. Without even trying, I was telling people about the awesome meal I just had from Gyro King. Looks nothing like some pictures I've seen on the yelp reviews but I gotta say it was really good!! The lamb was so soft and I like how much sauce they put in it. I was really impressed by this place. I pass by it frequently and it's always well lit up and clean. The reason I hadn't stopped in before is because it looked more comercial than authentic if that makes sense to any one. I always like to get the chicken gyro with a B juice, the food is good kinda spicy which is a plus, the juice is made to order and I always enjoy it, not sure if they add sugar but it's always sweet and sometimes a little too sweet for my liking but really good anyways. The red and white sauce add flavor to the gyro and definitely recommend adding if you like spicy. The service lacks and most of the time you'll be greeted with a frown and rarely a smile. The tiramisu is delicious but I believe they changed the brand they use because it has a distinct different taste than I remember. I've been to Gyro king about 10 times or more and usually there's never any issues with my food. Typically it's just small issues such as forgetting black olives or pickles that I paid extra for but I never made any complaints because the food was still good. I've ordered the lamb and fish combo gyro 3 times, which in the past, I haven't been charged $5 extra on top of $8 because of the fish, nor was I told that the combo is normally just chicken and lamb. I called in on Wednesday to order the fish and lamb combo gyro with fries, the employee told me the combo gyro is normally just lamb and chicken but he can do lamb and fish for me. He didn't tell me my total but assumed it was about $10-$12 like the past times I've ordered it. When I arrived to pick up my food I was told the total was $15.14. I was shocked and I asked the lady, Jessica, why that was the total. She told me the same thing the guy over the phone said, the combo normally comes with lamb and chicken and she also said the shrimp and fish is $5 extra. I was confused and told her I haven't paid that price before for the same thing but I still went ahead and paid it thinking the prices possibly changed recently. I also paid .50 extra for 2 more sauces however, the sauces where half full and I had to go back in to ask that they be filled at least halfway more and Jessica had quite the bad attitude when I asked her to do so. To my surprise, the gyro was terrible. The fish was very over cooked and extremely salty to the point where it overpowered everything else, the lamb was dry and flavorless and I had very little toppings like the tomatoes, cucumber and onions. I had to take out almost all of the fish that I paid $5 extra for, it was was too salty. I also found an email receipt from a previous order at gyro king that I had on 1/18/19 that was $13.52. That order was a combo gyro with fish and lamb with fries and a drink ($10.50) and also an extra order of fries ($1.99) So I still find it strange how I ordered less than that this time and my total was $15.14..... After this experience, I will not be returning to Gyro King. read more

The gyro fries and the lamb chops were my fav! It's right by the Kroger off Hwy 6. The place is decent sized, it seems like most people get to-go's instead of dining in. We did dine in this time and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We tried the fresh juices, the gyro fries, falafel, lamb chops and the tiramisu!!! I can't forget about that tiramisu, surprisingly so delicious and not to sweet, def recommend on getting that.
