YELP 100 CHALLENGE 2018 - PART 2: 34/100 I rarely shop at the mall (not really my thing) but Godkid was in pursuit of a job interview outfit. She wanted to come here. Why not. Although it's been years, I remember the last time I was in one of these and I remember enjoying an impromptu stop because they were going through some mad sale - like they were liquidating their products to make room for more, that sort. I had no intentions of buying anything, but there were a couple of things I couldn't resist; 50% of $34.99 shoes, $10 sleeveless ruffled top, $1 choker...?!?! I couldn't NOT get 'em! The one disappointment, though: I saw a pair of shoes on a mannequin I really REALLY wanted. So, I asked a staff member where those were stashed at. Her response: "Oh... we don't carry those shoes at this store..." Well. That makes sense. Oh, no, wait... IT DOESN'T. It wasn't a busy day and there was only on person behind the cashier. I guess he was too busy to ring me up because I ended up waiting for someone else to handle the task. Otherwise, can't really comment on staff. I won't knock 'em out of my shopping go-to's, though. I'd come back.

Nice clean store with plenty of clothing at various prices. From women jeans starting at $8. The men section is on the second floor along with some fitting rooms.

    Opening Day! Killer sales!

I had an online return and decided to go to the store at Del Amo Mall. It was so easy and pain free!

I cannot get over some of the designer items I have found here at outrageous prices. I feel like I'm a winner every time I come here because I get beautiful pieces as such great prices. THE NOT SO GREAT: Selling. Their process must be working because their inventory is outstanding. But it's not great to sell here. They take little and the money they give you doesn't cover the gas cost to get there. A waste. Bring your stuff across the street to Uptown Cheapskate (who's shopping experience is...gritty, not in a good way) or up to Crossroads Culver City (the best of the best, in my opinion). Pants. How are the pants and denim organized? Un-discernable. Any method other than organizing by size is laughable. I don't even look at pants here ever because who has time to search for the size tags? Request to management: organize by size and watch how much quicker you move pants!

I went to 2nd Street to sell some clothes, and they do things a little differently. Usually when…read moreyou sell clothes, you get the option of cash or store credit. The only option here was cash. This was also the lowest I've ever been offered for clothes. Places like Plato's Closet, Buffalo Exchange, and Uptown Cheapskate give you way more for your items. They had a $1 pile, meaning items they were willing to pay me one dollar for. And then they had a 10‑cent pile, meaning they were willing to pay me ten cents for certain items. Yes, ten cents. For 10/12 pieces, they offered me around $6.30. It was laughable. Actually laughable. So if you're looking to sell your items for dirt cheap, this is the place. On a lighter note, they did have a lot of nice things for sale; secondhand, some new, some designer, really great quality pieces at good prices. I got a really nice pair of green cargo pants for $12. I recommend for shopping NOT selling.

I usually shop at the other, larger outlet store, but decided to come check this one out when it finally opened. They sell shoes, of course, but they also sell socks, hats and key chains darned with their logo, records, and portable record players. The store is predominantly rows and rows of men, women, and children's shoes. They display each different shoe design on top, with boxes of shoes below on the shelves. Unless the display is up against the wall, then there are boxes of shoes above the display as well. My favorite shoes is the Skechers brand. They have very comfortable soles, so I look forward to wearing them when I'm planning to walk more than ten thousand steps. And because this is the outlet store, shoes are usually buy one get one at 50% off. Staff are friendly. On the weekends, they have free small bags of popcorn. The only problem I had was that it's help yourself, so it's not being monitored. They have their own parking lot, so there's plenty of free parking. There are two exits, however, only one opens up to Crenshaw. The other exit opens up to a neighborhood side street.
