A specialty was the "muffin" - instead of the traditional english muffin they opted for a soft, flaky biscuit which was unique and complemented the texture. She was prompt in seating us and we also quickly received our drinks. The menu is by QR code which is also how you pay the bill. *AMBIANCE* The cafe was bustling at 11am on a Sunday, but there was no wait to be seated (but it did get busier by the hour)! It's a small, bustling space, with smooth house music playing, but you can also sit in the outdoor section that has an overhead plastic covering. The interior is painted black, with a checkered floor, and plenty plants. Note that the cafe is attached the H Hotel, which is a building painted in a matte black. And I believe - the worst biscuits and gravy I've ever had. The biscuit was raw, the eggs were overcooked. Nothing runny. I asked for more gravy to help the situation, and it really didn't work. It was not savory like how bits of sausage would add moments of saltiness. Completely missing. It came with a salad that you can get a grocery store for a few dollars wit no memorable dressing. Breakfast burrito (18.50) seemed promising, but also extremely dry. Again, topped with this flat gravy sauce that somehow managed to dry it out. All of the protein inside lacked seasoning. My partner had to order a hot chicken sandwich for dinner to make up for this. Tater Tachos Supreme (14.50) was fine. For the price it could have been a lot bigger. With the Yelp app, it was easy to put my name down on the waitlist and it moved quickly on a weekend morning/brunch time. Since they are known for their fried chicken sandwich, so I got the chicken and waffles to check out their fried chicken. You have the option of picking between dark vs white meat. Their dark meat was very tender and juicy with a nice crunchy batter. It was well-seasoned but I would have wanted an extra dash of salt. The waffles were very fluffy and airy with a nice golden brown coat on the outside. Also got to try the biscuit and gravy. Gravy had all the meaty flavors but again could use a little bit more seasoning. They cook with beef tallow so I had to try their fries. The truffle fries were pretty solid. We arrived around 1:30pm on Saturday and had no problem with the lot. We were seated almost immediately but the place was nearly full. What we ordered: 1) Buttermilk Fried Chicken + Waffles - honestly just okay, the chicken was tough and had little to no seasoning. The waffles weren't very crispy and didn't have much flavor. For $21? not worth 2) Oreo & Cream Stuffed Brioche French Toast $16.50 - surprisingly delightful? Although I recommend sharing this one as the cream and overall sweetness is a lot for one person for a meal. We went here for Sunday brunch and I was excited to finally try it out as I've been seeing it pop up on Yelp. It's a trendy spot in K-town inside the H Hotel. Tucked away to the side of the H hotel's lobby, this cafe brings a cute brunch spot to Koreatown. My friend and I ordered three things: 1. Their "award-winning" Louisiana hot buttermulik fried chicken sando (spicy) 2. Eggs benedict w/ smoked salmon 3. Fried Brussel Sprouts The fried chicken sando was good, but I wouldn't think of it as award-winning in any capacity. The spiciness comes in the form of a buffalo sauce (maybe that's why it's Louisiana style?) and it was pretty mild. Perhaps this is one of the better Louisiana style sandos, but compared to the Nashville style sandos im used to that are less wet and generally spicier, I think this one fell flat in comparison. The optional side of tater tots were great though. Well crisped and a lot were included. The eggs benedict were pretty standard while the accompanying salad had a vinaigrette that was too acidic for our liking. Similarly, the brussel sprouts were coated in an overly acidic sherry vinegar. They weren't as crispy as we would've liked but there were a LOT of brussel sprouts so bonus points for that. Food was good enough to satisfy the brunch craving. I would like to try the stuffed french toast they offer sometime, but it seems very decadent. Their ordering menu/payment system uses something I have never seen elsewhere which I thought was quite strange. For one they ask for the tip up front when you order. How am I supposed to know how much to tip until I've finished dining?? Additionally, the system charges a fee for using credit cards but offers guests the ability to waive the fee if they link their bank account?! I get that they're just passing on the credit card fees to the customer, but it's a pretty poor experience to ask diners to punch in their checking account information when they just want to order breakfast. read more

We're so glad that this place had a waitlist option upon arrival! That saved us so much time. We did street parking around here, so it didn't seem too hard to find one! The restaurant is small, but very chic. Their ordering system was also very smooth and easy since you can order everything through their online ordering system.
