Delicious food and kind people. It's a combination that will keep me coming back, even though the prices might be a tad high. But I think the portions are larger than other similar places and unless you're really hungry I think most plates can be shared between two. It's really hard to come by good restaurants in the IE most of what's around are the same big chain spots. Habibi Kabob is a total gem and honestly one of the closest experiences I've had to Raffi's without making the drive out there. The portions are huge you can easily stretch one plate into two meals. My go-to is the chicken sultani, and I especially love that they serve roasted veggies on the side. My wife always gets the beef koobideh, and she loves it, it's moist, flavorful, and not overwhelming. If they ever add tahdig with vegetarian ghormeh sabzi and gheymeh to the menu, game over. I was in town visiting family over thanksgiving weekend. Saw this place on Yelp and had to check them out. Persian food is one of my favorite cuisines. We did the family combo as Koobideh is my favorite. Ordered extra hummus with a chicken kabob as well. All were amazing! They even gave me a free dolma. Which was homemade and amazing. I used to work in an Afghan and Persian restaurant in highschool and this place brought back memories. The family that ones the place were super friendly and welcoming. Such a fun little restaurant! I loved having the koobideh beef and chicken combo plate, on a bed of rice, accompanied by a grilled chili and tomato. I was offered the white garlic paste along with the hot sauce and had the lavash bread with a Perrier and topped it off with a honey cake. This place is a little gem and has superior service and amazing food. Wow is all I can say, so worth it. The server, Susana, was so nice, attentive, and gives that personalized white glove type of service. She asked my name, remembered it, asked where I was from, because this restaurant opened eight months ago and she was seeing how people have found the place. I will for sure be back, with the whole family. This is one of the best Persian restaurants I've been to in the way of Persian food. The usual establishments appeared, such as Pita Street, Zaki, The Great Greek Mediterranean, Luna Grill, and Panini Kabob Grill, among others. Having previously dined at all of these, a new option, HABIBI KABOB, captured my attention. We decided to try their takeout service and were pleasantly surprised by both the quality and portion sizes. The experience was reminiscent of Shamshiri Grill in Westwood, yet even more impressive. We ordered the lamb chops, chicken breast kabob, and beef kabob plates, along with baba ghanoush, kibbeh, and hummus. Every dish was delicious. The lentil soup, in particular, was flavorful and satisfying. Despite having visited numerous upscale Persian restaurants, Habibi Kabob truly stood out. We'd been eagerly waiting for this place to open, catching glimpses of its progress each time I stopped by Alebrijes bakery for pan dulce. We finally got to try it on their grand opening day, it was packed! The space is cozy, with a few tables set up outside for those who prefer to dine outdoors. The staff was friendly and helpful in guiding us through the menu. We ordered and waited around an hour for our food, as everything is made to order. It was well worth the wait! When I came here initially, the service was great, they worked hard to earn our business. So we have been coming regularly and even introduced other people to it. But today the lady in the front was rude and thought it was OK to nickel and dime me and up charge approx 6.00 more for getting the same plate we normally get. On another occasion, I accidentally ordered the chicken koobideh plate instead of the kabob. I realized ONE minutes after already paying and requested to just change the meat. The lady said "OH NOO THE CHEF WILL BE MAD..." but she hasn't even put the order in. I was also willing to pay the extra price difference for the chicken kabob instead of the koobideh but she was too lazy. Another customer came in after me asking the lady if they can record their experience for YouTube. She said "as long as it benefits our business." If she cares about her business, she should've been happy to change my order instead of giving me a stink face. Now that her business is more established, she doesn't care to lose customers. We wont be coming and neither will the people we referred. A successful business is built on the customer relationships and trust you build. Treat loyal customers better and have a better attitude. read more
